Alex Ovechkin finally did it. On Sunday afternoon, the Russian left winger found himself in open ice during a power play, reached back to collect a pass, and slotted a wrist-shot into the top right hand corner to net his 895th goal, a new record in the NHL. In New York on Sunday, Wayne Gretzky, the Great One, stood with a smile and applauded his record falling. 

“I said I’d be the first one to shake your hand when you broke the record,” Gretzky said before hugging the towering Russian at center ice in the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York. Then Gretzky made good on his promise. From one era to the next, the gregarious Gretzky provided a fitting bridge from past to present on one of hockey’s greatest days. 

I caught the tail end of Gretzky’s transcendent career. He was playing for the New York Rangers when I got to watch him. Even then, in his twilight, Gretzky sparkled unlike any other. But for all the successes that Gretzky found on the ice, it’s what he did off the ice this weekend that speaks most earnestly to the unique legend he has crafted. 

It’s not easy to watch your greatest successes pass by, but Gretzky has done so with great honor and respect for Ovechkin and the game. Gretzky was in attendance at the Capitol One Arena in Washington D.C. to witness Ovechkin tie his record of 894 goals, a feat that many believed would never occur. Gretzky was spotted cheering on Ovechkin and the two shared a brief, special moment following the Russian’s 894th goal as Ovechkin skated over to the benches and saluted Gretzky in the stands.

“When I was breaking the record,” Gretzky recounted recently. “I said to my dad the night before, ‘I’m so embarrassed, Gordie Howe was the greatest hockey player to ever live and he always will be in my eyes, it will never change. I’m so embarrassed to break his record.’ And he says, ‘Are you out of your mind? Don’t even think that way. You have the same dignity and respect when the guy breaks your record. You make sure you have the same respect for the guy that breaks your record.’” 

These past few days, Gretzky lived up to his father’s wishes. Gretzky’s goal record has long stood as one of the most insurmountable achievements in the history of all sport, a stunning tally accumulated over 20 years of consistent, immaculate play. Instead of dismay, Gretzky displayed humility, honor, and dignity as his lofty achievement was torn from the record books.

It hasn’t been an easy year for Gretzky, who has found himself in the middle of an intercontinental war of words and trade deficits. Gretzky, who lives in America, is married to an American wife, and attended an election night party for President Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago, has been the target of ire by angry Canadians who despise all things Trump. The 47th president of the United States has called on Gretzky to run for “Governor” of Canada, and the NHL legend was photographed with FBI Director Kash Patel at Friday night’s game in DC. 

When Gretzky was traded from the Edmonton Oilers to the LA Kings in 1988, The Great One wept in front of cameras and the city of Edmonton wept along with him. Such was the shared love Gretzky felt for the city of Edmonton and his country of Canada. But times have changed. This March, his statue in downtown Edmonton was smeared with feces. Petitions circulated to rename Wayne Gretzky Drive in the city. Gretzky’s wife took to Instagram to defend her husband, arguing that she had “never met anyone who is more Proud to be a Canadian.” But such is the heated political climate between America and the Great North at the moment that any perceived slight has, for some, wiped away the daunting achievements Gretzky manufactured on the ice.

And yet, through it all, Gretzky has not hit out at detractors. Unlike Trump, the Great One has not lashed out at his critics online or threatened to render revenge on those who have mocked him from afar. Gretzky has been focused on something he knows much better than politics—the game he loves and the generation of fans and players to come. When Ovechkin got within striking distance of a record many of us believed might never fall, Gretzky jumped on the bandwagon and cheered along for the good of the game. “They say records are made to be broken but I’m not sure who is going to get more goals than that,” Gretzky said with a smirk following Ovechkin’s record-breaking affair on Sunday. 

Gretzky continues to hold over 50 NHL records, including the remarkable tally of 1,016 goals, including playoffs—a mark that Ovechkin still trails by 50. While it is likely that Ovechkin will eventually surpass this record, Gretzky’s legacy as The Great One was further solidified this weekend by his graciousness as the torch was passed.

On Sunday, Gretzky joined Ovechkin on the ice, wearing a #9 pin on his blazer to honor the legendary Gordie Howe, known as “Mr. Hockey.” From one generation to the next. Gretzky promised Ovechkin a new car, a gesture reminiscent of the one he himself received in 1994 when he broke the scoring record. A touch of class. The sign of a real ambassador. A part of what makes hockey special in its own special way. And from the man who carried the game for so many years, a reminder that in an era defined by money and fame, some grace still exists.

He pointed to a now-infamous case in 2018, when Chinese scientist He Jiankui announced that he had cloned human embryos and edited their genes using CRISPR to make them resistant to HIV.

The news shocked the world and led to widespread condemnation. He was later sentenced to prison for violating scientific ethics and conducting unapproved procedures.

But Lamm warned it doesn’t stop there.

He said there’s a growing debate over whether those same embryos were also edited for enhanced intelligence. The science is still inconclusive, but the intent, he claims, is very real.

Lamm pointed to BGI (Beijing Genomics Institute) as a key player in this effort. He claimed that during the COVID-19 pandemic, BGI offered free testing to countries around the world—not just out of goodwill, but to harvest DNA at scale.

“They’re like, ‘We’ll do all the COVID testing for you free,’” he said. “Just send us your data.”

BGI has drawn global scrutiny. A 2021 Reuters investigation revealed that the company’s prenatal tests, taken by millions of women globally, were being used to collect genetic data for the Chinese military without proper consent or oversight.

Lamm alleges that BGI has publicly stated its mission is to sequence as much of the global population as possible in search of genes tied to intelligence—and act on the findings.

“They are openly saying we are sequencing as much as we can of the world population looking for genes for intelligence,” he told Rogan. “That’s not a hidden thing.”

In other words, the people who helped cover up the truth about Joe Biden are now trying to cash in by telling the truth they tried to hide.

When average people pointed out that Biden’s mind appeared to be apple sauce, members of the media accused them of pushing ‘cheap fakes’ that were distorting the truth. Now they’re all admitting what millions of people knew for months, or even years.

On CNN, Scott Jennings recently made this point, noting that it can all be told now.

When he jumped in, Jennings began by thanking Lathan. “Well, I was going to criticize President Obama, but you handled it. So thank you,” he began, before pointing to the larger issues worth discussing. “These books, first of all, seeing that video of Kamala Harris and then these videos of Tim Walz the last few days, man, did we dodge a bullet. Lord have mercy,” he added, before John Avalon briefly cut him off…

“These books coming out, it can all be told now. I mean, I sat here all during the campaign and was assured ‘Joe Biden was fine. Kamala Harris had the most organic, grassroots driven campaign. The Democrats were unified. We had a campaign of joy, and everything was hunky dory,” Jennings pointed out. “That’s what I was told night after night after night. And now all the books are coming out, and it’s amazing because a lot of the people who were telling those lies are now going to get paid to write those books. It’s crazy.”

Bill Maher has been very quiet about his meeting with President Trump at the White House, although Kid Rock, who arranged the meeting, said it went great.

Maher did spill some details during a recent conversation with Chris Cuomo.

He praised Trump for being authentic and noted that voters can tell if a person is a phony. Maher also offered a couple of examples of things Trump has done that he actually likes.

Speaking to Chris Cuomo on the most recent episode of “Club Random” podcast, released Sunday, Maher argued that a key to Trump’s continued success is, essentially, that he keeps it real in a way almost no other politician does.

“Trump is one of the most effective politicians, whatever you think of the policy or him as a person, just as a politician,” the host said. “Just understanding that always lean in to being more who you are. The people are not savvy about issues but they smell a phony a mile away. That kind of s–t? Nobody else does it.”

“There’s a couple of times when – I mean, look, I’ve been his biggest critic for good reason and when he got reelected I said, ‘I’m not going to pre-hate anything.’ And then the first week, I said ‘well there’s lots of things I hate because I do,’” Maher continued. “But the way he can do that, and sometimes make me go, ‘Oh man, I’ve got to give it up.’”

Four girls were slashed Sunday in an attack that ended when a cleaver-wielding man was shot by New York City police.

The victims were 8, 11, 13 and 16 years old, according to WABC-TV.

The 11-year-old girl called 911, but there was a glitch.

“The 11-year-old caller stated that she and her siblings had been stabbed by her uncle. She did not know her address,” NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch said.

Tisch said police traced the 10:15 a.m. call to the Bensonhurst area, where police entered an apartment building, according to WNYW.

She said, responding officers “heard screams coming from behind the door to their left and immediately began forcing their way into the apartment,” WABC reported.

“Once they entered, they encountered a man standing near the entrance holding a large meat cleaver, covered in blood, and they could see blood on the floor and the walls of the home,” Tisch said, per WNYW.

“The officers ordered the man to drop the weapon several times. He refused and advanced towards them. Two officers discharged their firearms, firing seven total rounds between them and striking the subject, ending the threat,” she explained.

Tisch said the girls were rescued because of the combined efforts of the girl who called 911, technicians who sent officers to the address, and officers who kicked down a locked door, according to The New York Times.

All this, she said, “absolutely saved the lives of the young girls.”

“This could have ended very differently,” Tisch said, according to the New York Post, which called the attacker a “maniac.”

“Tisch told reporters that a fifth child, a boy, was in the apartment earlier and ran for help when the suspect launched his attack,” the Post wrote.

The suspect has been identified as Lun Chang Chen, 49, who lived in the same home as the victims. He was listed in critical condition on Sunday.

“I was watching through the window, and the girl covered in blood came out,” a neighbor identified only as Maria said. “And then there was another girl. The two girls were just covered in blood.

“I was shaking. I’m still shaking now,” she said. “I don’t usually see them. They just moved here. I lived here seven years, and there are a lot of new people moving here.”

WABC reported that the suspect had a history of mental illness.

It reported that in addition to the cleaver the suspect was holding, a bloody knife was recovered from the apartment.

“Police came in and did what they had to do to save the children. Terrible,” resident Carl Caltabiano said.

When AOC traveled to Las Vegas for one of these events in March, she was spotted flying first class. Nothing but the best, right?

Doesn’t this conflict with AOC’s professed beliefs about climate change? Isn’t a first class seat much worse than a coach seat, according to the true believers? AOC used to have a Tesla. Why didn’t she drive her electric car to the event?

An incredulous passenger snapped AOC getting comfy in the roomy first-class cabin of JetBlue Flt. 511 on March 19 that departed from JFK Airport in Queens for Las Vegas, where she spoke at a Sanders rally titled “Fighting Oligarchy.”

The next day, the equality-spouting darling of the far left headlined “Fighting Oligarchy” rallied along with her socialist comrade, Sen. Sanders of Vermont, in North Vegas and at Arizona State University in Tempe.

“Nothing says, ‘Power to the people’ like ignoring voters looking to say hello and reclining in first class while tweeting about income inequality,’” the flier who took the photo told The Post — claiming that AOC did not respond to friendly comments once she sat down.

Isn’t this the same woman who said the world is going to end in ten years because of climate change? She clearly takes the issue very seriously.

Earlier today, President Donald Trump has issued a powerful ultimatum to the Chinese Communist Party: withdraw your new 34% retaliatory tariff on U.S. goods by tomorrow or face a crippling 50% tariff from the United States.

Communist China’s tantrum came after President Trump’s bold and long-overdue move to impose reciprocal tariffs on Chinese imports—an action that millions of forgotten American workers have waited for decades to see.

But instead of accepting the reality that their days of robbing the U.S. blind are over, the CCP is resorting to its usual playbook of deceit, deflection, and economic warfare.

Beijing hit back to the threat, saying in a statement from its Ministry of Commerce, that “pressuring or threatening China is not a right way to engage.”

The Chinese Ministry of Commerce responded to Trump’s latest threat on Monday and did not hold back.

China is in complete denial and this won’t end well for them.

China has noted that on April 7, Eastern Time, the United States threatened to further impose 50% tariffs on China. China firmly opposes this. If the US escalates its tariff measures, China will resolutely take countermeasures to safeguard its own rights and interests.

The US’s imposition of so-called “reciprocal tariffs” on China is completely groundless and is a typical unilateral bullying practice. The countermeasures China has taken are aimed at safeguarding its sovereignty, security and development interests, and maintaining the normal international trade order. They are completely legitimate. The US threat to escalate tariffs on China is a mistake on top of a mistake and once again exposes the blackmailing nature of the US. China will never accept this. If the US insists on its own way, China will fight to the end.

China reiterates that there are no winners in a trade war and no way out of protectionism. Pressure and threats are not the right way to deal with China. China urges the US to immediately correct its wrong practices, cancel all unilateral tariff measures against China, stop economic and trade suppression of China, and properly resolve differences with China through equal dialogue on the basis of mutual respect.

Another court win for the Trump Admin!

A federal appeals court on Monday allowed Elon Musk’s DOGE team to access sensitive information.

Last month, a federal judge issued a preliminary injunction barring DOGE from accessing Education Department and OMP records.

US District Judge Deborah Boardman, a Biden appointee previously issued a TRO blocking the Department of Education and Office of Personnel Management (OPM) from sharing data with DOGE.

“DOGE affiliates have been granted access to systems of record that contain some of the plaintiffs’ most sensitive data — Social Security numbers, dates of birth, home addresses, income and assets, citizenship status, and disability status — and their access to this trove of personal information is ongoing,” the judge wrote last month according to NBC News. “There is no reason to believe their access to this information will end anytime soon because the government believes their access is appropriate.”

Several unions representing current and former federal employees previously sued the Trump Administration to block DOGE from accessing so-called ‘sensitive data’ at the Department of Education and OPM.

The Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals on Monday stayed Judge Boardman’s preliminary injunction in a 2-1 vote.

According to the AP, Judge G. Steven Agee, a George W. Bush appointee, blasted Judge Boardman and said she misread the legal precedent “requiring nothing more than abstract access to personal information to establish a concrete injury.”

Agee said the Trump DOJ demonstrated “a strong showing that it is likely to succeed on the merits of their appeal.”

Judge Julius Richardson, a Trump appointee, agreed with Judge Agee in a concurring opinion.

Judge Robert King, a Clinton appointee dissented and said Judge Boardman “got things right.”

Arizona’s Democratic Attorney General, Kris Mayes, and Secretary of State, Adrian Fontes, have joined dozens of Democratic states in a lawsuit against the Trump Administration, challenging an executive order that makes it harder to cheat in elections and prioritizes prosecution of election crimes. 

The President’s March 25 Preserving and Protecting the Integrity of American Elections executive order mandates voter ID and documentary proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections, audits and improves the security of voting machines, and orders the DOJ to enforce the law against states that count mail-in ballots received after Election Day. It also prioritizes the enforcement of laws preventing foreign money from influencing elections and federally funded organizations from lobbying or supporting candidates.

Additionally, the order includes a provision that “the Department of Homeland Security, in coordination with the DOGE Administrator, shall review each State’s publicly available voter registration list and available records concerning voter list maintenance activities as required by 52 U.S.C. 20507, alongside Federal immigration databases and State records requested, including through subpoena where necessary and authorized by law, for consistency with Federal requirements.” This will ensure that illegal aliens are not slipping through the cracks and committing election fraud, especially in border states like Arizona.

The nineteen far-left Attorneys General filed their lawsuit in the Massachusetts Federal District Court, arguing that the President’s order is unconstitutional. They further allege that the federal government’s policy of enforcing federal law and preventing illegals from voting in federal elections “interferes with States’ inherent sovereignty and their constitutional power to regulate the time, place, and manner of federal elections.”

The Gateway Pundit reported that the Democratic Party, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries also filed a lawsuit in Washington, DC, last week against President Trump so that they can continue to allow illegal aliens to vote in US elections.

Both lawsuits were filed just days after DOGE head Elon Musk revealed that millions of illegal aliens were issued Social Security Numbers under the Biden Regime, including 2.1 million in 2024 alone.

“This was a massive, large-scale program under the Biden administration to import as many illegals as possible—ultimately to change the voting map of the United States, disenfranchise the American people, and lock in a permanent deep-blue, one-party state from which there’d be no escape,” Musk stated as he revealed the bombshell data to voters ahead of the Wisconsin Supreme Court election.

To combat the lawfare from Democrat election fraudsters, Rep. Abe Hamadeh (R-AZ), whose 2022 race for Arizona Attorney General was stolen by Kris Mayes, introduced legislation last week to codify the President’s executive order, The Gateway Pundit exclusively reported. His legislation is meant to thwart Democrats and their rogue activist judges from legislating through the courts.

Hamadeh’s office released a statement on Thursday, slamming “the beneficiaries of Arizona’s broken election system,” Mayes and Fontes, and their “Radical Attack on Election Integrity.”

“Arizona’s illegitimate Attorney General Kris Mayes and Secretary of State Adrian Fontes and their ilk across the country will go to any lengths to keep our elections processes broken,” the press release states.

It can be recalled that 60% of voting machines failed to tabulate votes in Maricopa County, Arizona, on election day in 2022, creating hours-long lines and disenfranchising tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of voters. Kris Mayes, Adrian Fontes, and Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs successfully stole the election through illegal machine shenanigans, fraudulent mail-in ballots with no chain of custody documentation, and voter registration glitches–all overseen by then-Secretary of State Katie Hobbs.

Most notably, Kris Mayes stole the election for Attorney General by 280 votes, and thousands of Republican votes across the state were discarded after their voter registrations were wrongfully canceled.

Now, they’re desperately fighting to secure their grip on power by averting election oversight and law enforcement as they prepare to run for reelection next November.

Attorney General Kris Mayes said in a press release Thursday,

Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes and Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes today joined a coalition of 19 states in filing a lawsuit against President Donald J. Trump, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi, the federal Election Assistance Commission, and other Trump Administration officials over Executive Order No. 14248 (the Elections Executive Order), an unconstitutional, anti-democratic, and un-American attempt to impose sweeping voting restrictions across the country.

Among other things, the Elections Executive Order attempts to conscript State election officials in the President’s campaign to override our elections system. It also seeks to upend common-sense, well-established State procedures for counting ballots — procedures that make it easier for peoples’ voices to be heard.

“This EO is an unacceptable and unconstitutional intrusion on the rights of states and the power of Congress by an out-of-control executive branch hellbent on destroying 250 years of precedent,” said Attorney General Mayes. “Clearly, Trump only supports state’s rights when it suits him.”

The President has no constitutional power to rewrite State election laws by decree, nor does the President have the authority to modify the rules Congress has created for elections. The coalition’s lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, explains that the power to regulate elections is reserved to the States and Congress, and that therefore, the Elections Executive Order is ultra vires, beyond the scope of presidential power, and violative of the separation of powers. The attorneys general ask the court to block the challenged provisions of the Elections Executive Order and declare them unconstitutional and void.

“If President Trump wanted to make laws then he should have run for congress where the U.S. Constitution says that work is done,” said Secretary of State Fontes. “The Constitution also says elections belong to the states. If the President wants to reshape our elections, he must propose realistic bipartisan legislation in Congress instead of forcing states into unfunded mandates through unlawful executive orders.”

In their lawsuit, the attorneys general assert that provisions of the Elections Executive Order will cause imminent and irreparable harm to the States if they are not enjoined. The challenged provisions include:

Commanding “the head of each Federal voter registration executive department or agency (agency) under the National Voter Registration Act, 52 U.S.C. 20506(a)” to begin implementing aspects of the Executive Order. This aspect of the Elections Executive Order commandeers State agencies and their personnel, forcing States to participate in the President’s unlawful and unnecessary agenda.

Forcing States to alter their ballot counting laws to exclude “absentee or mail-in ballots received after Election Day.”  In Arizona, voted ballots must be received by 7pm on Election Day in order to be counted. However, this Elections Executive Order could impact the ability to cure ballots under Arizona law.

Requiring military and overseas voters to submit documentary proof of citizenship and eligibility to vote in state elections. The Federal Post Card Application form is used by voters in the military or living abroad to register to vote in federal elections. Federal law unequivocally grants them the ability to register and cast a ballot “in the last place in which the person was domiciled before leaving the United States” — there is no requirement that this form demand documentary proof of citizenship or proof of current eligibility to vote in a particular state.

Threatening to withhold various streams of federal funding to the States for purported noncompliance with the challenged provisions. In so doing, the Elections Executive Order seeks to control Plaintiff States’ exercise of their sovereign powers through raw Executive domination, contrary to the U.S. Constitution and its underlying principles of federalism and the separation of powers.

In filing today’s lawsuit, Attorney General Kris Mayes joins the attorneys general of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Wisconsin. The litigation was led by California Attorney General Rob Bonta and Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford.

Mayes and Fontes announced their lawsuit and intent to prevent the federal government from enforcing the law and lawfully accessing publicly available voter data during a press conference on Wednesday.
