A routine shoplifting arrest in Mankato, Minnesota, has uncovered a potentially devastating terrorist plot that could have resulted in mass casualties. The case underscores the critical role that vigilant retail employees and local law enforcement play in identifying and preventing threats before they escalate into violence.

Shoplifting Incident Turns into Major Investigation

What started as a shoplifting arrest at a sporting goods store in Mankato turned into a much larger investigation when 24-year-old Mohamed Adan Mohamed was apprehended for stealing over $2,000 worth of tactical gear. Store employees grew suspicious of Mohamed’s behavior as he wore an oversized jacket, medical mask, and hat while selecting expensive items without checking the prices.

After fleeing the scene in a minivan without license plates, Mohamed nearly hit a person attempting a citizen’s arrest in the parking lot. Authorities later discovered a shopping list left behind by Mohamed at the store. The list, titled “Survival Gear List with Alternative,” included items such as ammunition magazines, body armor, knives, and pepper spray, raising immediate concerns.

Serious Threats and Alarming Discoveries

Following the arrest, police linked Mohamed to an earlier investigation involving disturbing social media posts that featured him pointing guns at the camera and making anti-American and anti-Israeli comments. Authorities identified the minivan used in the shoplifting incident and traced it back to Mohamed’s address.

A search of his residence revealed an assault rifle matching the one shown in his social media posts, as well as two 3D-printed handguns. Law enforcement officials noted “strong indicators” that Mohamed was preparing to carry out a mass casualty event within the next 24 hours. This discovery prompted a swift response to prevent what could have been a horrific attack.

Previous Police Interaction Raises Questions

While the investigation has led to the discovery of a serious threat, questions remain about why Mohamed was initially allowed to go free after a previous interaction with law enforcement. According to St. Peter Police Chief Matt Grochow, officers had met with Mohamed prior to the shoplifting incident. During that encounter, Mohamed was described as “appropriate” and not aggressive. At the time, authorities believed he was not a threat to the community, as he appeared safe and stable.

However, the situation changed dramatically after the shoplifting arrest, when it became clear that Mohamed had been planning something much more dangerous.

Mental Health Struggles and Legal Consequences

Neighbors and former classmates of Mohamed have expressed shock at the severity of the charges, noting his history of mental health struggles. A neighbor described Mohamed as having “a very beautiful heart,” though acknowledging that he was “not mentally, physically there right now.”

Mohamed now faces felony theft and threats of violence charges, each carrying up to five years in prison. A court has issued an extreme risk protection order, prohibiting him from possessing firearms for one year. His bail is set at $500,000, and he remains in custody with a court appearance scheduled for May.

This case highlights how routine law enforcement activities—such as a shoplifting arrest—can sometimes uncover much deeper threats to public safety. It serves as a reminder that the vigilance of both retail employees and law enforcement officers is crucial in preventing potential disasters.

In the latest example of how backward and broken California’s Democrat-run healthcare system has become, a father has gone viral after revealing that his daughter’s ambulance ride cost more than three times as much—because he had insurance.

Robby Witt, a California dad and popular TikToker with over half a million followers, posted a jaw-dropping video in February that is still going viral, which has Americans across the country furious.

In the clip, he calmly dismantles a so-called “progressive” California law that punishes people for being responsible and having health insurance.

Witt, whose daughter needed life-saving ambulance care, was initially billed just $600.

But once he submitted his insurance information, the bill exploded to a staggering $2,342, forcing him to pay $1,264 out-of-pocket after his insurance paid only $1,078.85.

The video, captioned “This is not satire. This is the state of healthcare in America—a lifesaving ambulance ride for my daughter. The state of California is penalizing citizens who have insurance,” has set social media ablaze, with nearly 33 million views as Americans reel from the absurdity.

Witt’s conversation with the operator lays bare the twisted logic of California’s healthcare system.

How can I help you?

Robby Witt:
So, I think there’s a mistake on the bill, but maybe you could help me out. We got a bill, and then we realized that you guys didn’t have our insurance. So we sent you the insurance, and it looks like the bill went up.

Operator:
It went up?

Robby Witt:
Yeah, the first bill we got without the insurance was 600 bucks, and then the second one was almost 1,300 bucks.

Operator:
Okay. Yeah, the first invoice you received—that’s a discount you receive if you’re uninsured. So you’re not eligible for the discount since you are insured. The bill was $2,342.14. We billed your insurance. Your insurance only paid $1,078.85.

Robby Witt:
Can I go back to the discount without the insurance?

Operator:
No, since you’re insured, you’re not eligible for the discount.

Robby Witt:
If I go cancel my insurance, am I eligible for the discount?

Operator:
No, sir, because we checked eligibility and you do have active coverage for the date of service.

Robby Witt:
Oh, I needed to cancel it before I got the service to get the discount.

Operator:
You’re only eligible for the discount if you’re uninsured.

Robby Witt:
Okay, so I’ll get cheaper health care if I’m uninsured?

Operator:
If you’re uninsured, you’re eligible for the discount. Correct.

Robby Witt:
Is this common? I pay for insurance and I end up paying more out of pocket because I pay for a premium? That’s wild.

Operator:
No, this is just a new law that started in 2024—AB 716. The law is that you receive a discount if you’re uninsured. When we first send an invoice to the patient, we bill them as if they’re uninsured. If you’re insured, unfortunately, you’re not eligible for the discount.

Robby Witt:
Okay, so if I have the incentives straight here—if I want to pay less for medical care, I should cancel my insurance if my daughter needs life-saving medical care?

Operator:
I don’t know, sir, if you should cancel your insurance. I’m just letting you know that the discount is only for patients who are uninsured.

Robby Witt:
Okay, that is special. That is a special law. So there’s no way to put that discount onto an insured person? Only the uninsured people get that?

Operator:
Correct.

In an exclusive interview with Fox News last month, Witt slammed the authors of AB 716, calling out California’s warped logic.

“Your whole life you’ve been told, right? Like, you want to buy health insurance so that if something – God forbid – happens, then you will get a lower rate than if you didn’t have the insurance. Like, that’s what we’ve all been told our whole lives. And then the exact opposite happened,” Witt told Fox.

“My real problem, I guess, is that it’s based off of insurance and why this bill wasn’t written based off of income… So in fact, you could have a higher-income family than me who decides to say, you know what? We’re not going to buy insurance. And now, all of a sudden, their ambulance bills are going to be cheaper, even though they’re higher income.”

“And so, you know, sometimes when they go to legislate these things, I don’t know if they ran out of IQ points to get it done, but it just doesn’t make sense to me that you would offer discounts based on whether someone’s insured and not based off of their W-2 income.”

In a post on his X account, Bolsonaro’s medical team confirmed that he has shown “clinical deterioration” and has no plans to release him from the ICU:

DF Star Hospital reports that former President Jair Bolsonaro remains hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for post-operative monitoring.

He has shown clinical deterioration, elevated blood pressure, and worsening liver function test results.

He will undergo new imaging exams today.

He remains on oral fasting and is receiving exclusive parenteral nutrition. He continues with motor physiotherapy and measures to prevent venous thrombosis.

The recommendation for no visitors remains in place, and there is no forecast for discharge from the ICU.

Since returning to the White House on January 20, 2025, President Donald J. Trump has been met with an unprecedented onslaught of legal challenges from far-left activist judges and groups determined to sabotage his second term in power.

Crazed America-hating Judge Beryl Howell blocked President Trump from banning far-left law firm Perkins Coie from all government business and buildings. Perkins Coie was central in the scam to take down President Trump his first term in office with their Russia-Putin hoax and lies.

And America-hating Judge James Boasberg ordered President Trump to bring planeloads of murderers, rapists and gang members back into the United States. His hatred for America is now out in the open for all to see!

President Trump, in less than 100 days, has faced 209 legal challenges by activist judges.  Only two cases are closed.

In New York City, property owners are legally required to register all details of their residential buildings each year with the Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD).

The goal is to ensure transparency and accountability among building owners, city agencies, and tenants.

Property registration includes providing accurate information about the building’s ownership and its physical characteristics.

Two conspicuous characteristics of any residential building are the number of stories and the number of units. New York State Attorney General Letitia James has lied about them both.

Registration ensures that HPD and other city agencies can quickly contact responsible parties in the event of emergencies, housing code violations, or tenant complaints. Failing to register – or submitting false information – is illegal. False information can invalidate the registration and result in civil penalties.

On Letitia James’s registration page of her apartment building on HPD, she listed the property at 296 Lafayette Blvd in Brooklyn as having only three stories. In fact, it has four.

In New York City, a building with a basement apartment and three additional floors above it is considered a four-story building for the purposes of HPD registration.

To qualify as “a story” a basement unit must have at least half of its height above the ground level.

By contrast, a unit with more with than half of its height below ground level is considered a “cellar.” It does not count as a story.

In sum, if the building’s lowest level meets the definition of a basement, especially if used as an apartment, it must be counted as a story. Misclassifying a basement unit to understate the number of stories is a registration violation and can lead to potential penalties.

The photo of James’s apartment building at 296 Lafayette Avenue clearly shows the bottom unit to be about 60-70% above ground level – making it the first story of a four story building.

In fact, the Certificate of Occupancy for James’s building lists a “cellar” in addition to a “basement” unit, further indicating that James’s basement apartment unit is a “story”, and cannot possibly be considered as an additional cellar.

On Letita James’s registration page on HPD, she goes on to claim that her five-unit apartment building only has four units, even though the building’s Certificate of Occupancy lists five.

There is an incentive for James to lie. Falsely registering a building with HPD as having three stories instead of four stories, and four apartment units instead of five, offers a property owner potential financial and regulatory advantages.

One advantage is avoiding the stricter legal and safety requirements that apply to larger buildings.

In New York City, once a residential building reaches four stories, or five units, it can become subject to additional regulations under the Housing Maintenance Code, Building Code, and sometimes the Multiple Dwelling Law.

These regulations could include mandates to create fire escapes, add sprinklers, install accessibility upgrades under ADA guidelines, require more frequent inspections by HPD, or even require elevator installations, depending on the building’s size and configuration.

In addition to the regulatory burdens, the larger size might lead to higher insurance premiums.

Complying with these requirements can involve significant financial investment, another powerful incentive for a building owner to understate the building’s specifications.

Another incentive for false registration is the avoidance of rent regulation.

In New York City, buildings with six or more units are typically subject to rent stabilization, but even buildings with five units could be subject to regulation if they were previously rent-stabilized or received certain types of public subsidies or tax incentives.

Additional incentives for lying about the dimensions of a building include a possible reduction in property taxes and the avoidance of audits.

All that said, lying on the registration form is short-sighted.

In New York City, providing false information on a building registration filed with HPD is a serious offense with significant legal and financial consequences.

If HPD, the Department of Buildings (DOB), or a court finds out, the owner could face significant penalties.

Potential penalties include thousands of dollars in fines, nullified registrations, and even legal challenges from tenants or city agencies.

It also opens the door to civil litigation and criminal charges, particularly if the falsification leads to injury or neglect of tenant safety.

“No one is above the law,” James assured us while she was hounding Donald Trump. That “no one” must surely include the Attorney General of the State of New York. Given all the “Letitia Files,” is it now time for Letitia James to resign her position as New York Attorney General?

Back in November 2024, Trump Jr. shared a video trolling Zelensky would ‘lose his allowance’ when Donald Trump took office.

Since then, he has called the Kiev leader an ‘International Welfare Queen’, the ‘highest paid actor’ in the world, saying he should ‘just go win the war without [the US’] endless $$$’.

But today (25) Trump Jr. will fly to Budapest to meet Hungarian foreign minister Peter Szijjarto, Hungary’s foreign ministry revealed yesterday (24).

Reuters reported:

“It was not clear if Trump Jr’s visit was in any way related to a potential business deal. As an executive vice president at The Trump Organization, Donald Jr. works to expand the company’s real estate, retail, commercial, hotel and golf interests, according to the Trump Organization’s website, opens new tab.

The ministry did not reveal the purpose of the visit and officials were not immediately available for comment.

Russia Today reported:

A Russian two-star general serving as deputy operations chief of the general staff has been killed by a car bomb, officials have confirmed.

The incident that claimed the life of Lt.Gen. Yaroslav Moskalik occurred on Friday morning in the suburban Moscow town of Balashikha.

Russia’s Investigative Committee has said the improvised explosive device planted inside the car was packed with metal fragments for additional lethality.

The news agency TASS has reported that investigators estimated the yield of the device as the equivalent of 300 grams of TNT.

For those still stuck in a Cold War mindset this will seem hard to accept, but the fact is that the United States’ CIA and Russia’s SVR have been engaged in frequent talks, a line of communication that has proven vital for the ongoing détente between the two nuclear superpowers.

The negotiations between the two intelligence agencies have already bore fruit in this case: US and Russia Swap Prisoners in Abu Dhabi, Free ‘Wrongfully Imprisoned’ Ballerina Ksenia Karelina in Victory for Trump Diplomacy.

Now, the Russian side is divulging further talks, floating the possibility of a deeper engagement.

“Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) Director Sergey Naryshkin has announced a potential meeting with CIA Director John Ratcliffe.

’I had a telephone conversation with my colleague, the director of the Central Intelligence Agency. It was a very constructive conversation. So, I do not rule out the possibility of a meeting in the near future’, Naryshkin told TASS.”

‘Wrongfully Imprisoned’ American citizen Ksenia Karelina was freed after negotiations between the two intelligence agencies.

Anadolu agency reported:

“Russian-American dialogue has seen renewed momentum since Donald Trump’s return to the White House. Delegations from both countries met in Saudi Arabia on Feb. 19 for negotiations that lasted nearly five hours. Additionally, two rounds of bilateral consultations were held in Istanbul.

US presidential envoy Steven Witkoff is expected to visit Moscow this week.”

This comes as Trump pushes for a speedy peace deal and lashed at Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelensky for disrupting the London negotiations.

“’The situation for Ukraine is dire — He can have Peace or, he can fight for another three years before losing the whole Country’, he wrote on Truth Social.”

Naryshkin talks about Zelensky’s future.

SVR’s Naryshkin was also in the headlines commenting over different options regarding the fate of Zelensky after the war.

Any Democrat capable of redemption has already repented. Thus, those who know the truth and still remain Democrats surely must work for Satan.

For instance, according to a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement news release, earlier this month ICE agents arrested 23-year-old Guatemalan illegal immigrant Keycy Robinson Alexis Barrera-Rosa at the Charles County Sheriff’s Office in Maryland, then, on Friday, the CCSO charged Barrera-Rosa with murdering his 23-year-old girlfriend, Lesbia Mileth Ramirez-Guerra, mother of his two children.

The charges came as Democratic Sen. Chris Van Hollen of Maryland visited El Salvadorian prison, where he met with Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the illegal immigrant and suspected MS-13 gang member whom President Donald Trump’s administration deported last month, and whom Democrats — with their usual blend of self-righteousness, disdain for American citizens, and pathological hatred of Trump — have transformed into their latest folk hero, going so far as to disingenuously label the illegal immigrant Abrego Garcia an innocent “Maryland man.”

Of course, amid the political theater, the central fact remains that a young mother has lost her life.

According to WMAR-TV in Baltimore, Ramirez-Guerra’s buried body was discovered April 17 in Prince George’s County.

The outlet indicated that she had been reported missing April 2.

ICE, however, indicated that the suspect had reported his girlfriend missing to CCSO on March 31.

Either way, the CCSO filed murder charges only one day after the discovery of Ramirez-Guerra’s body.

Meanwhile, authorities have also charged 37-year-old Rolvin Eduardo Barrera-Barrera, the suspect’s uncle and a fellow illegal immigrant, with accessory after fact of murder, per ICE.

ICE Baltimore acting Field Office Director Vernon Liggins minced no words when characterizing the alleged murder.

“This heinous crime not only devastated a community but also reinforced the urgent need to prioritize public safety by identifying, arresting, and removing egregious illegal aliens who threaten our neighborhoods,” Liggins said. “ICE will continue to work tirelessly, side by side with our law enforcement partners, to safeguard our communities and uphold the rule of law.”

As for the political theater surrounding Abrego Garcia, Democrats continue to expose themselves as agents of evil.

First, one must acknowledge that no one has charged Abrego Garcia with murder.

Nonetheless, Van Hollen’s visit to the prison in El Salvador made him look, at best, like a grandstanding putz.

Upon learning of Ramirez-Guerra’s murder, however, the contemptible Maryland senator outdid himself.

When pressed about illegal immigrant crimes in general, and about Ramirez-Guerra’s murder in particular, Van Hollen told Fox News Digital that “with federal and state leaders working together, we’ve made strategic investments in public safety that have helped reduce violent crime across Maryland for three years in a row.”

Unbelievable.

“But more needs to be done — because no family should have to endure the pain of being ripped apart by violence. We will continue working to fight crime in all its forms and build a stronger, safer Maryland,” he added.

“Strategic investments”? “A stronger, safer Maryland”?

On Ramirez-Guerra’s murder in particular, the senator said he “cannot imagine the grief and pain that the family of Ms. Guerra is feeling right now.”

Indeed, one cannot imagine it. Nor could one imagine the grief endured by the family of Maryland mother Rachel Morin, raped and murdered in 2023 by another El Salvadorian illegal immigrant. Mention Morin to the average Democratic voter who watches MSNBC or CNN, and you would likely receive a blank stare. Van Hollen himself certainly showed more concern for “Maryland man” Abrego Garcia than for the murdered Maryland mother.

Thus, perhaps a Republican congressman might think about introducing a new law that would read as follows:

“Henceforth, any elected official who travels to a foreign country in order to gin up sympathy for a deported illegal immigrant accused of criminal activity, and then, after returning to the United States, said elected official responds to a different illegal immigrant’s alleged murder of his 23-year-old girlfriend and mother of two children by putting out a sterile, platitudinous statement that reads as if copied from a Human Resources Department template, said elected official shall have identified himself under law as an authentic minion of Satan and shall have rendered himself liable to treatment as such.”

Who would refuse to vote for that?

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer is tanking in polls with members of his own party. His approval ratings have absolutely collapsed in recent months, even with Democrats in New York.

Over on CNN, data analyst Harry Enten recently looked at the numbers and raised the red flag for Schumer, saying ‘sirens should be going off.’

Enten notes that AOC’s approval ratings are higher than Schumer’s, which just fuels speculation that she is going to challenge him.

Here are Enten’s comments, via RedState:

ENTEN: New York Democrats on Chuck Schumer view him favorably in December of 2024. That was just a few months ago. It was 73 percent. Look at where that number has fallen to in just a few months. It is now down to just 52 percent. That is the lowest I could ever find in Siena College on how Democrats in Chuck Schumer’s home state view him.

And keep in mind, if you’re thinking about a primary challenge, it would be a few years away, but Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s favorable rating among Democrats is considerably higher, in the 60s. So, he is doing quite poorly in his own home state of New York. I never thought I’d see the day in which just 52 percent of New York Democrats would view Chuck Schumer favorably. It’s almost unfathomable…

ENTEN: Yes, it’s because they, simply put, don’t like the job he’s doing as Senate leader. I mean, look at this. Should Schumer stay as Senate leader? Again, according to New York Democrats, just 50 percent say yes. Look at this number, 48 percent say no. This screams sirens should be going off, primary challenge, primary challenge, primary challenge. When you are a Democrat in New York and these are your ratings, this is a big wakeup call if you’re Chuck Schumer, John Berman.

Schumer earned these awful poll numbers and so has his party. For months now, Democrats have offered nothing but protests and rage. The American people are looking for solutions.
