President Trump Lifts Commercial Fishing Ban In Central Pacific-Fishing Industry Celebrates

President Donald Trump signed two executive orders and a proclamation aimed at reducing regulatory burdens on the U.S. fishing industry, and combating unfair foreign trade practices and reopening 400,000 square miles in the Pacific Ocean to commercial fishing.

The area, previously protected by Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama to preserve the marine environment and historic sites around Wake, Baker, Howland, and Jarvis Islands, Johnston and Palmyra Atolls, and Kingman Reef, was deemed redundant with existing laws.

Trump’s “Unleashing American Commercial Fishing in the Pacific” proclamation argues that commercial fishing can coexist with ecosystem and wildlife preservation.

After reviewing Proclamations 8336 and 9173, President Trump’s proclamation states that properly managed commercial fishing poses no threat to the scientific and historic objects protected by these decrees, as existing laws already safeguard them.

It notes that nine federal laws protect the area’s vulnerable marine species and habitats, and fisheries like the National Marine Fisheries Service effectively manage fish populations. The earlier bans on commercial fishing are said to have unnecessarily restricted American businesses. The proclamation seeks to reopen nearly half of the U.S. Exclusive Economic Zone in the Pacific Islands to commercial fishing.

Additionally, Restoring American Seafood Competitiveness aims to:

Aims to:

Promote American Seafood Industry: Aims to enhance U.S. seafood competitiveness by addressing overregulation, unfair trade practices, and a $20 billion trade deficit, with nearly 90% of seafood imported.
Reduce Regulatory Burdens: Directs the Secretary of Commerce to revise or rescind burdensome regulations within 30 days, involving Regional Fishery Management Councils and public input to streamline fisheries management.
Combat Illegal Fishing and Unfair Trade: Develops a comprehensive seafood trade strategy within 60 days to counter illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing and unfair practices, including forced labor, via trade negotiations or enforcement.
Modernize Fisheries Management: Incorporates advanced technology and cooperative research for better data collection and real-time management, while expanding exempted fishing permits to boost opportunities.
America First Seafood Strategy: Promotes domestic production, marketing, and export of U.S. seafood, alongside educating consumers on health benefits and increasing seafood in nutrition programs.
Review Marine National Monuments: Within 180 days, assess opening marine monuments to commercial fishing, ensuring consistency with preservation goals.
Enhance Import Monitoring: Revise the Seafood Import Monitoring Program to focus on high-risk shipments, improve port checks, and use technology to prevent IUU seafood entry.

Members of the American fishing industry celebrated the news.

AP reports:

Fishermen said they see a brighter future thanks to the Trump executive order. The changes represent a “thoughtful, strategic approach” that could be a lifeline to America’s fishermen, said Lisa Wallenda Picard, president and chief executive officer of the National Fisheries Institute in Virginia.

“The EO outlines key actions to benefit every link in the supply chain — from hardworking fishermen to parents who serve their family this nutritious and sustainable protein at home,” Wallenda Picard said. “Importantly, the order calls for reducing unnecessary regulatory burdens on fishermen and seafood producers while also promoting the many benefits of eating seafood as part of a healthy, balanced diet.”

The Passion of the Christian

David Kupelian explores what it really means to ‘take up your cross’

“And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?”

– Mark 8:34-37

“And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.”

– Luke 9:23

“And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.”

– Matthew 10:38

Every Easter, many dazzlingly eloquent words are written and spoken about Christ’s “Passion” – a singular historical event, graphically portrayed in films like “The Passion of the Christ,” “Jesus of Nazareth” and “The Greatest Story Ever Told.” That these screen depictions serve to powerfully rekindle many believers’ gratitude for what Jesus endured for their sake is undeniable. But I wonder, how often does that appreciation for Christ’s sacrifice ignite a fire in the belly of believers to “take up the cross” themselves?

But first things first. What in the world does “taking up your cross” really mean?

‘I die daily’
In ages past, Christians dwelt a lot more on the concept of taking up the “cross” than they do these days. Today, the phrase “it’s my cross to bear” is usually a self-congratulatory reference to the fact that we have to put up with a vexing medical condition, or a child in trouble with the law, or perhaps an overbearing, live-in mother-in-law.

Admonitions from the pulpit may not shed much more light. Oh sure, a well-intentioned minister will reverently read one of the scriptures cited above on “taking up the cross,” and he might even briefly plug the ideal of self-denial. But too often this amounts to a polite nod to a notion that seems both archaic and almost irrelevant, or at least unattainable, and the pastor just moves on to more pleasant topics – like how grateful we are for Christ’s death and resurrection.

It wasn’t always so. Throughout past centuries, Christian philosophers and mystics dwelt at length on the crucial, life-and-death need for repentance, resignation, “mortification,” the “crucifixion” of sin in man, and the “death of the carnal man” or of “the creaturely self” and so on.

The Apostle Paul said it most powerfully and succinctly when he wrote: “I die daily.”

Unfortunately, much of what has been written in more contemplative eras about this inner transformation of man is highly poetic and allegorical – an attempt to use mere words to chart the narrow path that connects man’s lowly estate with God’s heavenly one. Although such archaic language may be profound, it’s probably insufficient for Christians today, buffeted as we are on the outside by a voracious and atheistic secular culture, and on the inside by what is increasingly a simplistic and far less rigorous Christianity than that embraced by our forefathers.

Please allow me to take a stab at this, from a somewhat different angle – this command from Jesus Christ that each of His followers “take up his cross daily.”

Killing the creature
What exactly is this “creaturely self” that Christian thinkers throughout the centuries have so colorfully warned we must “slay” or “crucify” if we’re to inherit the Kingdom of God?

t’s self-evident that we’re all born with a troublesome nature called “pride.” Basically, pride is the part of us that wants to be like God. It loves being praised, quickly puffs up with angry judgment over the real or perceived wrongs of others – and as a rule is oblivious to its own faults. Moreover, you can think of pride as a “life form” – a living, breathing “something” which, like any other life form or “creature,” can be fed or starved. When it’s fed, it grows and enlarges; when it is starved, it diminishes and dies – daily.

As our pride – our “sin self” – diminishes and dies through obedience to God, the direct result is that our good side, our true God-centered character and identity, enlarges.

We’re not talking about matters of dogma here. Nor is this just a matter of outward behaviors and “works.” So please don’t e-mail me with arguments about “faith vs. works.” This is about real change – about transformation – the mystical heart of the true Christian life, about “dying to the world.” Not an archaic, poetic and hopelessly idealistic notion, but the very heartbeat of our everyday life, as we deal with stresses and problems (“trials and tribulations”) in our lives.

Of course – and this is something of a divine paradox – as Christians, we know we can’t save ourselves, and yet we are most definitely called to obedience. So, let’s not slough off our responsibility to “die daily” by comfortably presuming on the unending mercy of God. His mercy is unending, indeed, but also balanced with justice, and these two seemingly contradictory qualities work together mysteriously and wonderfully toward our redemption, but only in the truly sincere human soul that doesn’t tempt God.

A different kind of love
To understand what “taking up the cross” means, we have to understand why Jesus Himself had to suffer.

More pointedly, if our loving God is omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent – which He is – why then did His own Son have to be tortured and executed? Countless people throughout the ages have asked, “If God is love, why would he require his own son to endure such torture and death?” Indeed, many have judged God, concluding: “I could never worship a god like that.”

Although we say “God is love,” we don’t really know what either one is, do we? “God” is beyond our comprehension – like understanding infinity. And “love” – well, we use that word to describe our “strong feelings” for anything and everything we’re attracted to.

Let’s talk about real love.

There’s one element present in almost every authentic manifestation of real love among us human beings. And that is – are you ready for this? – suffering. From the ultimate expression of love – “Greater love hath no man than this, that he lay down his life for his friend” – to the simple act of being patient with others, love implies forbearance, longsuffering and kindness in the midst of problems.

Here’s how Webster defines “patience”: “the bearing of provocation, annoyance, misfortune, or pain without complaint, loss of temper, or anger.”

Certainly, Jesus’ words as he was dying on the cross – “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do” – are the kindest, most patient words ever spoken.

Thus, patience is nothing less than the basic “cell” or building block of love for each other. The very idea of being patient implies suffering with grace. The recipient of your patience – say, your spouse or child – experiences that patience as love, just as they experience your impatience as a lack of love.

Still, why is love inextricably tied to suffering?

Just think: God is the architect of an awesome expanding universe involving heavenly bodies and distances and speeds and temperatures beyond human comprehension, as well as of a never-ending microscopic cosmos of orbiting particles and universes within universes, all too small for human eyes or minds to conceive. And yet, there’s one thing the Creator of all couldn’t just … create out of thin air. And that’s love.

Oh sure, He loves us. But I’m talking about our love for Him and for each other – fulfilling Jesus’ two greatest commandments. The only way God could “create” loving children was for us to have a choice: a choice to love Him, or to be our own god – literally, a choice to make something more important than our own lives, well-being and comfort – a choice to love, in other words – and to be able to demonstratethat love, which involves suffering.

After all, if I compel you to “love me,” is it real love? Of course not. Love always involves a choice.

Jesus’ teaching that there’s no greater love than laying down your life for a friend doesn’t only mean that you have to be willing to die for someone else by jumping into a lake to save them, or taking a bullet meant for them. Remember, Paul said, “I die daily.” It’s a different kind of “death” that’s being called for. You have to be willing to let your pride-self die – for the sake of your “neighbor” – and particularly, for your family’s well being.

Small example: If someone puts you down or treats you in a cruel or unjust way and you become angry and upset, you’ve simply failed to find God’s love in that moment and to extend it to the offending person. All of us have fallen for this temptation over and over – I know I have many times. But if we are genuinely patient – that is, if we suffer the cruelty with grace, and resist the temptation to puff up with anger because our pride was offended – we can then respond to the other person with the energy and spirit of God’s love.

So do I need to be a martyr?
Do an Internet search on the phrase “Take up your cross” and you’ll discover sermon after sermon on the necessity of being willing to be tortured and executed for Christ.

“Are you living with a martyr’s attitude, that is, willing to suffer and/or die for the cause of Christ?” asks one sermon on the topic. “We are to be Jesus’ present-day martyrs, as millions in the past literally were proven to be by giving their lives for the cause of Christ.”

Others regard the “take up your cross” reference as a call to the celibate, monastic life.

And of course there are lots of references to the conflict between man’s “natural will” and God’s will, and how they are at war with each other.

Indeed, “taking up the cross” has always been a common sermon topic. Most typically, listeners are admonished to visit the sick, feed the poor, put their spouse’s desires ahead of their own, tithe and volunteer time for church work, and the like. And while these are all fine actions to take, the problem is, one can do all of them and still remain the same faithless, resentful, doubtful, guilt-ridden, but heavily compensated “nice” person. Worse, the approval and adulation we receive from others for our “good works” often serves to further blind us from seeing and repenting of our well-concealed sinful nature.

The point is, we’re not so much in need of a behavior change as we are of a naturechange. The “cross” Christ prescribes for us is an instrument of death. But just as He died to bring life, we are supposed to “die” to sin that we may share His life.

All of which boils down to this: The real “cross” we have to bear is that we have a fallen nature, which we need to understand and relate to properly — which allows God to change us.

Let’s start with an obvious example – sex. Men in particular are born with a sexual nature that needs to be restrained. If not, men would want to express this drive virtually all of the time. Obviously, men need to control this “animal nature” or “creaturely self.”

Likewise, what if somebody wrongs you so egregiously that you have an impulse to do him bodily harm? You better restrain that impulse too, right?

So much for the obvious. How about something more subtle?

Let’s say we suffer from envious thoughts. To covet is to break one of the 10 Commandments. So how do we deal with these troublesome feelings? How do we “restrain” them? Certainly not by wallowing in them and indulging them. But also not by repressing them, or attempting to manufacture “good” thoughts and feelings in their place. The Christian answer might be to pray, but what form of prayer? Try this out: If you notice envious thoughts, just observe them – honestly, sincerely, without escaping or trying to change them or making excuses for them or justifying them or getting upset over them. Just see what you see, with poise and dignity – and quietly, wordlessly, cry inwardly to God for help. He will.

This is true transparency, which is resignation of your will to His. It calls forth the very process of regeneration, imperceptible though it may be to us.

Put another way, “dying” to the world is like fasting – but not from food. The real “fast” God desires is that we fast from evil thoughts, from anger, from envy, from lust, from greed and so on. He wants us to abstain from being irritated by provocations, from becoming impatient and angry toward others, from temptation of all sorts.

The truth is, we’re never closer to God than when we’re just plain quiet and still, aware of all of our defects in each precious moment, looking at ourselves first and foremost, without judgment or worry, and having quiet faith that God is there with us and that He will help us.

Shortly before His Passion and death, Jesus gave his disciples what He called “a new commandment” – namely, “That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.” Of course, since He had previously brought forth the Old Testament commandments to love God “with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might” (Deuteronomy 6:5) and to “love thy neighbor as thyself” (Leviticus 19:18), how was this Last Supper commandment then “new”?

It was new because He was raising the bar to a higher standard. He was now asking us to love one another as He loved us.

We are supposed to live the way Jesus lived, and to suffer the way He suffered. (I said, the way he suffered – with love for each other through obedience to the Father – though obviously not to the extent He suffered.) And, my dear brothers and sisters in Christ, that does not mean only sharing the Gospel of Christ’s atoning death and resurrection with as many people as possible. We are called to a still higher standard – to live as He lived – or maybe to put it more aptly, to love as He loved.

Love and logic
In the classic story of “Ben-Hur,” Judah, long-consumed by hatred and a desire for revenge against Masala for falsely condemning him as a galley slave and imprisoning his mother and sister, now lepers, witnesses the crucifixion of Jesus.

In the final unforgettable scene, Judah tells his betrothed Esther: “Almost the minute He died, I heard Him say, ‘Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.’

Esther, amazed, responds in a whisper: “Even then …”

“Even then,” echoes Judah. “And I felt His voice take the sword out of my hand.”

The real Passion of Christ must connect directly with our own internal programming and strengthen our own spirit, as it did in the story of “Ben-Hur.” We too must die the death God has prescribed for us – the death of pride, the ancient compulsion to be our own god – that we may share the true life He prepared for us, and which His Son purchased so dearly for us.

One of the main reasons I’m a Christian is simply because it makes so much sense to me. If God wanted to demonstrate His love for mankind, how else could He do it? Go ahead, tell me! What could He do to demonstrate the depth of His love? Make mountains of pomegranates for everyone? Give everyone a great job and a big house and three luxury cars? Give us everything our proud little hearts desire?

No, if God wanted to demonstrate His love for us, and at the same time provide us with the perfect, ultimate example of real love for our fellow man, what could be a more perfect expression of love than the willing suffering and death of His Son – Who while dying asked God to forgive His tormentors? The sheer beauty, logic and power of it is transcendent. If you’re looking for love in this loveless world, that’s it.

I know some will be offended by this message, as though by even mentioning and holding up the standard Jesus clearly demanded of His followers, I am somehow denying the sufficiency of His substitutionary death for all mankind.

But you see, there’s something really wrong with today’s Christianity. Over 70 percent of Americans consider themselves Christians, but our country’s government, laws, culture and institutions, from its education system to its entertainment industry – are increasingly and overtly hostile to Christianity. Even Christian families all too often are falling apart. Clearly, we’re missing something big.

So, can you handle a little tough love? Here it is: Just continually telling each other about Jesus’ death and resurrection is not enough. It’s not what He taught. Jesus didn’t say, “Just talk about me and you’ll be saved.” Rather, He said: “Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Matthew 4:17) And “If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.” (John 15:10) And “… he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” (Matthew 24:13 KJV)

So, while as Christians during the Easter season we reflect on the Messiah’s suffering and sacrifice, the question is: What are we willing to suffer and sacrifice? Can we face our own sinfulness? It’s the one enemy most of us don’t really want to confront.

To take up our cross – to “lose our life” for His sake so that we “shall save it” – we need to repent. And we cannot repent without looking in the mirror and honestly facing the sin in our minds and hearts. To stand transparent before God so He can heal us through understanding and repentance may be as hard as watching Jesus being scourged and crucified, but watch it we must.

God honors the sincere soul who, with quiet dignity, simply faces the darkness within and repents. This is the heartbeat of our life, without which there is no real life. Each of us has this moment-to-moment choice to make, whether to defend, excuse and enlarge our sinful, hell-bent nature, or whether to pick up our cross, deny our (wrong) self, and follow Jesus – first to death, and then to life.

Democrat Van Hollen Sidesteps Questions About His Drinking Buddy – the Wife Beater and Human Trafficker Kilmar Garcia – Refuses to Admit He’s a Gangbanger Despite MS13 Knuckles (VIDEO)

Democrat Chris Van Hollen lies about Kilmar Garcia’s gang affiliation despite MS13 knuckles. – CNN State of Union screengrab

Democrat Senator Chris Van Hollen joined CNN to discuss his new friend – the wife-beater, gangbanger, and human trafficker – MS13 member Kilmar Garcia.

Van Hollen was asked about Kilmar’s gang affiliation on CNN and the Maryland senator totally sidestepped the question.

Van Hollen just returned from El Salvador after having drinks with the MS13 prisoner this week.

Chris Van Hollen has margaritas with his new friend and MS13 gangbanger Kilmar Garcia.

The Maryland Democrat attempted to lie and lecture President Trump.

Sen. Van Hollen: They need to put up or shut up in the courts. Let me tell you, and I decided to write this down so I could be absolutely accurate as to what federal district courts Judge Zinnis said about these allegations by the Trump administration. No evidence linking Abrego Garcia to MS 13 or any terrorist activity has been presented to the court. That’s where to litigate this. It’s been litigated in many other places. I’m not going to to get into the details because the whole purpose of our court system is for them to adjudicate these things, not for Donald Trump to go off on social.

Van Hollen may want to sit this one out. There are now photos of his drinking buddy’s knuckles with “MS13” tattooed across them.

President Trump tweeted this out for all of America to see.

Biden-Appointed Judge Orders State Dept to Provide Passports to Trans People Using Chosen Sex Marker, Against Trump Order

A Biden-appointed Massachusetts judge has ordered the State Department to provide passports to transgender people using the incorrect sex marker, in violation of President Donald Trump’s executive order.

On the first day of his second term, President Trump signed an order saying the federal government would only recognize two sexes.

The order states, “sexes that are not changeable, and they are grounded in fundamental and incontrovertible reality.”

In compliance with the order, the State Department changed its policy to only issue passports that “accurately reflect the holder’s sex,” as it was assigned at birth. Previously, the department was allowing people to choose their own sex, and the Biden administration even added an option for people to choose just an “X.”

The change prompted a lawsuit from six people who claim to be transgender and/or “non-binary.”

In their lawsuit, the plaintiffs claimed, “Having a sex designation on a passport that involuntarily discloses someone is transgender, nonbinary, or intersex can also cause harassment and discrimination while traveling within the United States.”

WATCH: Transgender ‘Euphoria’ Star Complains Gender Marker on His Passport Has Been Changed to ‘Male’

U.S. District Judge Julia Sobick ruled on Friday that since the plaintiffs are likely to win their case, the State Department must just issue them passports.

Sobick called the new policy of accurately listing a person’s biological sex “arbitrary and capricious.”

“The plaintiffs have also demonstrated a likelihood of success on their separate argument that, under any standard of review, the Executive Order and Passport Policy are based on irrational prejudice toward transgender Americans and therefore offend our Nation’s constitutional commitment to equal protection for all Americans,” Sobick wrote in the order, according to a report from USA Today.

“In addition, the plaintiffs have shown that they are likely to succeed on their claim that the Passport Policy is arbitrary and capricious, and that it was not adopted in compliance with the procedures required by the Paperwork Reduction Act and Administrative Procedure Act,” the judge continued.

Sobick’s ruling does not apply nationwide at this time.

The USA Today report stated, “The litigants who can receive passports by marking X for their sex on their applications, under the judge’s ruling, are Ashton Orr of Morgantown, West Virginia; Zaya Perysian of Santa Clarita, California; Sawyer Soe of Salem, Massachusetts; Chastain Anderson, who lives near Richmond, Virginia; Drew Hall of Wisconsin and Bella Boe of Cambridge, Massachusetts. Soe and Boe are pseudonyms.”

Waste of the Day: States Failed to Recover Pandemic Overpayments

This story originally was published by Real Clear Wire.

By Jeremy Portnoy
Real Clear Wire

Topline: Ten state-level agencies accidentally overpaid $10.4 billion — and possibly much more —  to people filing for unemployment during the COVID-19 pandemic. Most of the overpayments were genuine mistakes, but an estimated $676.3 million was fraud.

Key facts: That’s according to a report from the Department of Labor that was conducted by the consulting group Regis & Associates. It reviewed labor departments in Connecticut, Florida, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Washington and Wisconsin from April 2020 to September 2022. Each state was paying unemployment insurance using federal funds sent through the CARES Act.

The 10 states officially reported $10.4 billion of overpayments out of $176.1 billion spent on unemployment, but the report says it’s possible the states may have failed to identify some of their own mistakes. A previous audit showed that states were overpaying unemployment claims by 17%. At that rate, the total for the 10 states would be $33.9 billion.

States were required to try and recover overpayments, except “in cases where the claimant was without fault and recovery would have been against equity and good conscience.” A recovery rate of at least 68% was considered acceptable by the federal government, but some of the 10 states had a “far lower” recovery rate. Some unemployment programs recouped just 6% of their overpayments.

The fraud recovery numbers were also concerning. All 50 states combined lost $3.6 billion to fraud and clawed back just $145.3 million of it (4%).

State labor agencies “need to do more to recover improper payments,” the auditors wrote. The agencies “did not consistently perform mandatory and strongly recommended activities to recover overpayments.”

Search all federal, state and local government salaries and vendor spending with the AI search bot, Benjamin, at OpenTheBooks.com.

Background: Unemployment insurance was just one way the government handed out money during the pandemic, and other programs were even more questionable. Large accounting and law firms received $1.4 billion in forgiven loans, and the country’s 20 largest nonprofit hospitals received $23 billion in aid while their assets increased by even more.

The COVID Complete Collections Act, introduced by Sen. Joni Ernst, would extend the authorization of the Special Inspector General for Pandemic Recovery and allow the office to continue tracking down fraudulent payments. Ernst previously found that almost 15,000 millionaires managed to collect unemployment checks during the pandemic.

Summary: Even though the pandemic has ended, it’s the government’s responsibility to ensure that all relief money went to the people who were actually entitled to it, and nothing more.

EXCLUSIVE: Interview with Dr. Steven Greer, UFO Expert, About Advanced Tech, Govt Secrecy (VIDEO)

The Trump science advisor, Michael Kratsios, controversially said this week that the U.S. now has advanced technology that can “manipulate time and space.”

President Trump has added that there are weapons systems that “no one knows about.”

These developments, combined with reports in December and January about large-scale drones that were around military bases, have suggested that there are active technologies that are being kept from the public, and possibly threats also being kept from the public view. After promising to disclose what was really going on, the White House offered a tepid, short, and incomplete answer that they were for ‘research’ and ‘other purposes.’

This has left many wondering, what’s happening with advanced technology and repeated reports of UFOs in the news?

Last year a wide variety of UFO stories were in the news, including reports from military veterans who claim they personally saw objects rise out of the ocean and travel at impossible speeds. Just this week, another was in the news at Daily Mail, Alexandro Wiggins, relating what he saw on the U.S.S. Jackson on February 15, 2023, where four objects came out of the ocean and flew a synchronized flight pattern off the coast of California.

It is now a regular occurrence to see weird lights in the night sky, performing odd maneuvers, such as a recent incident in Vancouver this week.

Dr. Steven Greer sat down with the Gateway Pundit and gave his insights into what has been going on with advanced technology, government secrecy, and the possibility of advanced life interacting with Earth.

Greer is a recognized expert on these controversial issues, working with a variety of organizations, and active in a wide variety of platforms and media outlets to share his evidence and promote his views and experiences.

In the interview, Dr. Greer discusses:

Zero-point energy
Communications with extra-terrestrials
the Surveillance State
Black Sites
the nature of consciousness
Special-Access programs
Black budget & black sites
Working with UFO whistleblowers within the government

Dr. Greer is a former emergency room physician and prominent figure in the field of UFO disclosure and extraterrestrial research. He is best known as the founder of the Center for the Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence (CSETI) and the Disclosure Project, initiatives aimed at urging the U.S. government to reveal alleged classified information about UFOs and extraterrestrial contact. Greer claims to have interviewed hundreds of military, government, and intelligence officials who have firsthand knowledge of extraterrestrial encounters, secret technologies, and suppressed energy systems.

Here are some of Greer’s most controversial claims in the interview:

Secret Power Structure & Disclosure Suppression

Greer claims a covert, illegal shadow government exists within the U.S. national security apparatus, operating outside legal and constitutional authority.

This rogue structure disregards legal oversight, including Congress, the President, or lawful warrants.

He insists the Disclosure Project Intelligence Archive contains evidence vital for policymakers but has been ignored by officialdom.

He encourages people to contact their representatives and demand access and review of this information.

Technologies and Extraterrestrial Claims

Greer alleges that anti-gravity and advanced technologies, some reverse-engineered from extraterrestrial craft, have existed since at least the mid-1950s.

These technologies, which could transform medicine and energy, have instead been weaponized and hidden.

Human-led operations using these technologies have conducted false flag UFO events, including abductions and mutilations, falsely attributed to aliens.

Atrocities and Human Rights Abuses

He describes whistleblower Michael Herrera’s claim of seeing a 300-foot man-made anti-gravity craft involved in human trafficking and weapons deals.

Greer says people have been taken to black sites for experimentation, corroborated by insiders.

A 1995 CIA document reportedly describes staged alien abductions in South America for psychological warfare purposes.

He asserts that most alien abductions are psyops carried out by U.S. operatives to manipulate public perception and fear.

False Alien Threat & Global Control Agenda

Greer warns of a long-standing plan (70+ years) to stage a false alien attack to justify global militarization and totalitarian control.

He cites Wernher von Braun’s warning, relayed by Carol Rosin, that a fake alien threat would be the final justification for one-world government.

He draws parallels between this and the psychological manipulation during COVID, which he views as a beta test for compliance and control.

Counterintelligence, Disinformation, and Gaslighting

Greer says the UFO narrative is saturated with disinformation, even to deceive presidents like Reagan, Trump, and Obama.

He criticizes the mainstream media, Hollywood, and even some prominent UFO researchers for spreading false or distorted narratives.

Claims people like Tucker Carlson have been targeted with false briefings to mislead even well-intentioned journalists.

Historical and Presidential Involvement

Jimmy Carter was denied access to UFO information after requesting it during his presidential transition.

Reagan was manipulated into supporting SDI under the belief in an alien threat.

George H.W. Bush and Dick Cheney were deeply involved in these covert programs.

Obama was never read into the deep aspects of the program; Greer says his Netflix series on UFO abductions promotes disinformation.

Trump was similarly deceived by embedded briefers during his presidency.

Reality of UFOs vs. Shadow Government

The real revelation was not that UFOs or aliens exist—but that a parallel, rogue shadow government has taken control of the subject outside democratic oversight.

This “unsanctioned” entity wields massive geopolitical power, bypassing the President and Congress, and embedding disinformation into both the public and official channels.

Energy Technologies & Suppression

Greer claims reverse-engineered alien tech and human zero-point energy innovations could:

End world poverty

Eliminate pollution

Make homes and cars energy-independent

He cites his documentary The Lost Century to argue that corporations and rogue military-industrial factions have sequestered free energy devices since Tesla’s time, and even seized his research after his death.

These technologies have been suppressed using national security provisions in patent law and classified secrecy.

Corporate-Government Hybrid & Fascism

The current power structure is a hybrid of corporate, intelligence, and military interests, not accountable to the public.

Greer links this to Jefferson’s warnings about unchecked corporate power and Eisenhower’s caution against the military-industrial complex.

He labels the modern system as fascistic, where private industrialists override public governance.

Technological Proof & UAP Capabilities, Explaining the “Tic Tac” UFO’s

Greer discusses Tic Tac UAP footage and other verified encounters as evidence of electromagnetic propulsion, not conventional propulsion.

These craft leave no heat signatures, can make 90-degree turns, and operate beyond known aerospace physics.

Some are man-made “alien reproduction vehicles” (ARVs) developed by Lockheed, Northrop, and others; others are genuine ET craft.

Greer had a 10-episode series called “Disclosure” which was featured on Amazon Prime.

Greer is also critical of many other UFO researchers, claiming:

90%+ of UFO lore is disinformation, Greer claims, intended to manipulate the public into supporting secrecy and control.

He emphasizes the need for education, discernment, and skepticism, even among those sympathetic to disclosure.

The real enemy, he suggests, is not extraterrestrial but the covert human operations exploiting the alien mythos for power and profit.

His work, including documentaries like Unacknowledged and Close Encounters of the Fifth Kind, blends whistleblower testimony with metaphysical beliefs, such as the notion that humans can initiate contact with alien civilizations through consciousness-based protocols.

Greer is a controversial figure—praised by some for pushing the boundaries of public awareness, but criticized by others for unverified claims and lack of empirical evidence.

WATCH: Former OneRepublic Bass Player Announces California Congressional Bid

Former OneRepublic bass player Tim Myers has announced that he is running for Congress in California as a Democrat.

Myers will be challenging incumbent Republican Rep. Ken Calvert in California’s 41st District, Riverside County.

The musician announced his political aspirations in a video posted to Instagram on Thursday.

“I’m a pastor’s son who grew up learning how to stretch a dollar in Corona, California. I turned a love of music into a career,” Myers says in the video. “I saw how the industry took advantage of people, so I built a business that puts artists first. It reminds me a lot of what we’re seeing right now. The people in charge are screwing us over just to make a buck.”

“Trump, Musk and these clowns in Washington are cutting cancer research, veterans’ health care and getting into trade wars, making everything we buy more expensive, all while giving billionaires another tax cut they don’t need,” Myers continued. “And where’s my hometown Congressman? Ken Calvert has been in Washington for 30 years, and all he’s done is make himself millions. The status quo isn’t working.”

Billboard reports, “The bassist who spent five years in OneRepublic in addition to releasing a number of solo projects, starting the record label Palladium records and writing/producing songs for acts including Aloe Blacc, Kesha, Hailee Steinfeld and Five For Fighting described his triumphs and struggles in the music industry.”

Christian Martinez, a spokesperson for the campaign arm of House Republicans, said in a statement to the Associated Press, “Democrat Tim Myers is everything wrong with today’s radical left: a Hollywood liberal trying to fake his way into Riverside County.”

The report added, “At a time when competitive House contests are becoming scarcer nationwide, Democrats consider Calvert’s closely divided California district one of the party’s best opportunities to gain ground in the chamber, where Republicans hold a fragile 220-213 majority.”

“With Congress and the White House under Republican control — and Democrats facing an uphill fight to take the Senate in 2026 — the California contest will carry added importance as Democrats maneuver to retake the House to provide a counterweight to the Trump administration on issues from immigration to the environment.”

Zelensky Embraces Putin’s Truce, Suggests To Extend It Beyond Easter – Both Sides Denounce Ceasefire Violations, but Fighting Is Indeed Paused in Most of the Frontline

Putin and Zelensky: will peace break out?

Truman Capote’s ‘The Muses Are Heard’ is a non-fiction novel about of a Cold-War era trip behind the Iron Curtain of a theater company with an all-black cast performing Gershwin’s ‘Porgy and Bess’.

In this absolute gem, a Soviet attaché quotes the old Latin saying, ‘Inter Arma Silent Musas’: ‘When the Cannons are Silent, the Muses are Heard.’

Today, on Easter Sunday, we can’t say that the cannons in Ukraine have gone completely silent, but there has noticeably been a ‘change in the weather.’

If the truce had utterly failed, we’d be witnessing an orchestrated chorus in the pro-Kiev MSM denouncing it. Instead, we saw what appears to be papers and news sites hedging their bets in case peace really breaks out.

The New York Times wrote: ‘Russia’s move appears aimed at showing Moscow is still open to peace talks’; Daily Mirror: ‘President Vladimir Putin’s truce announcement is a stunning move by the Kremlin’; Washington Post: ‘Russia’s statement comes as Trump’s camp shows waning interest in drawn-out peace efforts’; The Sun: ‘Putin’s words seen as a positive step toward much-needed peace in Eastern Europe’.

CNN has gone as far as writing that the Easter truce ‘could force Trump to adopt a pro-Russian stance’, and create difficulties for Ukraine if it’s seen as violating what Washington sees as a goodwill gesture from Moscow.

Since Putin announced the Easter truce, there have been no air raid sirens in Ukraine.

No wonder Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelensky pivoted from rejecting the truce to embracing it and even wanting to expand on it beyond today.

It also didn’t hurt that yesterday, a prisoner exchange took place, with Russia and Ukraine swapping 246 POWs each.

Zelensky is now saying that Russia is ‘making a pretense of an Easter ceasefire’ – which is as close to saying that the truce has been partially successful as he’s ever going to get.

Reuters reported:

“’In general, as of Easter morning, we can say that the Russian army is trying to create a general impression of a ceasefire, but in some places, it does not abandon individual attempts to advance and inflict losses on Ukraine’, Zelensky said in a post on social media.

Putin, hours before heading to an Orthodox Easter service late on Saturday, announced the surprise one-day ceasefire, ordering his forces to ‘stop all military activity’ along the front line in the three-year-old war.”

A complete ceasefire was never probable, but the Russian gesture – and Ukrainian reaction – does indeed add new hope to the negotiations after the U.S. announcement that it could abandon peace talks ‘within days’ unless Moscow and Kiev got serious about negotiating.

“[Zelensky] reiterated that Kyiv was willing to extend the ceasefire for 30 days but said that if Russia kept fighting on Sunday, so would Ukraine.

‘Ukraine will continue to act in a mirror manner’, he said.”

Rep. Nancy Mace Says She Was Harassed by ‘Unhinged Lunatic in Daisy Dukes’ at Makeup Store — Video of Heated Exchange Goes Viral

Congresswoman Nancy Mace (R-SC) revealed on social media Saturday that she was confronted by a man inside a makeup store in what she characterized as a politically motivated incident.

“Some unhinged lunatic, a man, wearing daisy dukes, at a makeup store, got in my face today. Dems are nuts. So I went off — and I won’t be backing down,” Mace posted on X.

“I hold the line 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Try me.”

The video—attached to her post and now going viral— shows a man confronting the congresswoman with questions about her schedule of town halls. The situation quickly escalated into a tense verbal exchange between the two.

The man, who has not been publicly identified, repeatedly asked whether Mace planned to hold more town hall events this year. Mace responded that she had hosted over a dozen in previous years and accused the man of harassment.

The exchange became increasingly confrontational, with both individuals raising their voices and using profanity.

Below is a full transcript of the exchange:

Nancy Mace:
I do them every year.

Leftist:
Every year?

Nancy Mace:
You want to keep going?

Leftist:
Are you going to do any more this year?

Nancy Mace:
Do you want to keep going? Keep harassing me?

Leftist:
I’m asking if you’re going to have more town halls this year.

Nancy Mace:
You could have gone to a dozen town halls last year.

Leftist:
I asked if you’re doing any more this year. It was one simple question.

Nancy Mace:
Yeah.

Leftist:
Are you doing a town hall this year?

Nancy Mace:
I’ve already done one. I’ll do plenty more.

Leftist:
Are you doing any more this year? It was a simple question.

Nancy Mace:
You’re always invited.

Leftist:
Okay, that’s great. Well, let me have an actual invitation.

Nancy Mace:
And by the way, I voted for gay marriage twice.

Leftist:
What does that have to do with me?

Nancy Mace:
So I’m just saying it has everything to do with you.

Leftist:
Do you think everything about me has to do with gay marriage?

Nancy Mace:
I do. Absolutely.

Leftist:
That’s your first chance when you speak with me?

Nancy Mace:
Absolutely.

Leftist:
There’s no other humane conversation you can have about me?

Nancy Mace:
If you don’t want to get in my face about town halls, you should have shown up to one last year.

Leftist:
There’s no other humane thing you can talk about me? Just saying, “Oh, I support gay marriage”? That’s the only thing you have to say?

Nancy Mace:
Because you’re getting in my face about a town hall. You could have gone last year.

Leftist:
I was going to ask you one simple question from right over here. If you have any plans to have more town halls this year?

Nancy Mace:
I have town halls every year. I have over a dozen every year.

Leftist:
That was my entire question. You didn’t have…

Nancy Mace:
You could have come to any of them last year. I had over a dozen.

Leftist:
I’m asking you about this year, not 2024.

Nancy Mace:
Where were you the year before that? Or the year before that?

Leftist:
It was a simple question. I asked if you had any more that you’re going to this year or not.

Nancy Mace:
Oh, because you know what? Because you people on the Left are crazy. You’re absolutely f***ing crazy.

Leftist:
I’m absolutely f***ing crazy?

Nancy Mace:
You are. And get out of my face. You’re insane. Goodbye. You’re insane. F*** you.

Leftist:
You’re going to f*** me? You’re going to be voted out so fast this year. I can’t wait for you to f***ing go into the term.

Nancy Mace:
I’m not. I’m not. I won by so much.

Leftist:
You’re a disgrace to this state, that’s who you are. You’re a disgrace. I asked you a simple question, and you just go on this tirade and tell me, “F*** you”?

Nancy Mace:
Yeah, f*** you.

Leftist:
Disgusting.

Nancy Mace:
Get out of my face.

Leftist:
F*** you.

Nancy Mace:
Get out of my face. Try it again. What’s your name?

Leftist:
You’re a nasty b****.

Nancy Mace:
What’s your name?

Leftist:
You’re a nasty b****. That’s the first thing you’re going to say to me? “F*** me” for asking you a question?

Nancy Mace:
Absolutely. Get the f*** out of my face.

Leftist:
F*** you.

Nancy Mace:
F*** you. You couldn’t take me on, baby. Stay the f*** away from me.
