Republican Georgia Representative Mike Collins trolled Democrat Senator Chris Van Hollen over his visit with Kilmar Abrego Garcia in El Salvador by altering his office plaque.

Instead of saying “Maryland,” the updated plaque reads “El Salvador” — the home nation of the deported MS-13 gangster.

It is unlikely that the congressman vandalized the plaque, despite a report from Mediaite claiming that he “defaced” it. Instead, it is likely photoshopped. Either way, Rep. Collins posted a photo of the update on X.

The violent gangster was deported on March 15, 2025, to his home country’s Terrorism Confinement Center (CECOT). He had been illegally living in Maryland for nearly 15 years.

Earlier this week, Van Hollen traveled to El Salvador and demanded to see the deported foreign national, claiming that he is one of his “constituents.”

In March 2019, Prince George’s County Police detained him during a loitering incident at a Home Depot, where he was in the company of two confirmed MS-13 members. During the investigation, Abrego Garcia was found to be a “Chequeo” (a ranking member) in MS-13, operating under the moniker “Chele.” He was also wearing a Chicago Bulls hat and a hoodie with imagery tied to gang culture.

The Department of Homeland Security labeled Abrego Garcia a “verified” MS-13 member in 2019.

In May 2021, Abrego Garcia’s wife, Jennifer Vasquez Sura, was granted a temporary protective order against him after she alleged he was subjecting her to domestic violence, including beating, scratching, and punching her.

Attorney General Pam Bondi has made it clear that Abrego Garcia is “not coming back to our country.”

“He is an illegal alien who has been living illegally in our country from El Salvador. ICE testified, and an immigration judge ruled, he was a member of MS-13. An appellate judge ruled he was a member of MS-13. Hard stop,” Bondi said during a press conference on Wednesday. “He should not be in our country.”

“He was deported. They needed one additional step in paperwork, but now, MS-13 is characterized as they should be as an FTO, as a foreign terrorist organization,” the attorney general said. “He would have come back, had one extra step of paperwork and gone back again.”

Bondi added, “he’s from El Salvador. He’s in El Salvador, and that’s where the president plans on keeping him.”

Activity below the surface of an Alaskan volcano has scientists on edge over an eruption that could be coming.

Mount Spurr, which is about 78 miles southwest of Anchorage, has been the focus of attention since October, when sub-surface earthquakes, gas emissions, and melting snow and ice at its summit have indicated some type of activity, according to the Anchorage Daily News.

In March, the Alaska Volcano Observatory indicated an eruption was possible within “weeks to months,”

More recent data suggests that an eruption might not be as likely in April as it seemed in March, but Alaska Volcano Observatory scientist-in-charge Matt Haney said there are about earthquakes below Mount Spurr every week, and bad weather has hindered data-gathering.

“We don’t have the full suite of data sets that, in an ideal case, we would be drawing upon to make our interpretation,” Haney said.

If an eruption comes, it would be at the Crater Peak side vent, and “it would be explosive,” Haney said, according to the Daily Mail.

Ash plumes could reach 50,000 feet high, he said.

The Thursday update from the Alaska Volcano Observatory noted the “[s]hallow earthquake activity underneath Mount Spurr remains elevated.”

“Based on the recent modest changes in monitoring data and the inability to measure gas for the last month, the outcome of the current unrest is less certain,” the update said.

However, the update said something is taking place, noting “the rate of deep earthquakes (greater than 6 miles, or 10 km, below sea level) has been fairly constant, suggesting that magma remains active deep beneath the volcano.”

The update said that “the likelihood of an eruption has decreased from March, but the volcano remains at an elevated level of unrest and an explosive eruption (or eruptions) like those that occurred in 1953 and 1992 is still possible.

“We expect to see increases in seismic activity, gas emissions, and surface heating prior to an eruption, if one were to occur. Such stronger unrest may provide days to weeks of additional warning,” the update said.

The update said predicting an eruption is not an exact science.

“We cannot assign an exact timeframe for when an eruption will occur, if it does. We expect to see additional changes to monitoring data prior to an eruption, as magma moves closer to the surface,” the update said.

“This would include a change in the rate and character of earthquakes, onset of sustained seismic tremor, further increased gas emissions, changes in surface deformation, and melting of snow and ice. In 1992, such changes occurred about three weeks prior to the first eruption,” the update said.

The update noted that not all activity results in a volcanic eruption.

“From 2004 to 2006, Spurr summit experienced an episode of increased seismicity, surface uplift, and heating that melted a large hole in the summit ice cover and generated debris flows, but no eruption occurred. Short-lived seismic swarms under Mount Spurr also occurred in 1979, 1982, and 1989 but did not result in eruption,” the update said.

Three senior advisers to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth—Dan Caldwell, Darin Selnick, and Colin Carroll—were abruptly ousted this week amid an expanding probe into alleged information leaks.

The trio, all veterans and key figures in the Trump-Vance administration’s efforts to reform the Pentagon, have publicly condemned their dismissals as unjust and politically motivated.

In a joint statement, Caldwell—an advisor to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth; Selnick, Hegseth’s deputy chief of staff; and Carroll, chief of staff to Deputy Defense Secretary Stephen Feinberg—expressed profound disappointment over their treatment, asserting that they were never informed of the specific allegations against them.

The investigation reportedly centers on unauthorized disclosures related to Elon Musk’s controversial Pentagon visit, military operations in the Red Sea and Panama Canal, and intelligence support to Ukraine.

The Pentagon has not released any statement regarding the dismissal of the top officials.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported that Dan Caldwell, who was also a part of the Mike Waltz Houthi Signal chat group, was escorted out of the Pentagon on Tuesday for “an unauthorized disclosure.”

Deputy Chief of Staff Darin Selnick and Colin Carroll, chief of staff to Deputy Secretary of Defense Stephen Feinberg, were also placed on leave and escorted out of the Pentagon.

By Friday, reports confirmed that Joe Kasper, Chief of Staff to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, was stepping down amid the internal shakeup following a leak investigation.

According to Fox News, Kasper allegedly harbored a “deep vendetta” against Caldwell, Carroll, and Selnick. Kasper was said to have led the effort to identify those leaking information to the media.

“This is not about interpersonal conflict,” a Pentagon official told Fox News. “There is evidence of leaking. This is about unauthorized disclosures, up to and including classified information.”

That same day, it was confirmed that Caldwell, Selnick, and Carroll had all been placed on administrative leave earlier in the week and were officially terminated on Friday.

After attending Good Friday mass in St. Peter’s Cathedral on Saturday, Vance met with senior Vatican officials for talks that followed previous sharp criticism by Pope Francis of the Donald J. Trump administration’s immigration policy.

CNN reported:

“The Vatican said that during the meeting an ‘exchange of opinions’ took place concerning migrants, refugees, and prisoners.

The vice president, a Catholic, has been visiting Rome with his family over the Easter weekend and attended a Good Friday service in St. Peter’s Basilica.”

Today (19) he visited the Vatican with his family ahead of talks with top officials.

“Ahead of Saturday’s talks, Parolin told Italian newspaper La Repubblica that the ‘current US administration is very different from what we are used to and, especially in the West, from what we have relied on for many years’.”

Later in the day, it was divulged that Vance has a short, private meeting with ailing Pope Francis.

The father of slain teenager Austin Metcalf has revealed why he attended the press conference held by the parents of his son’s killer — he was hoping they would invite him on stage and pray with him.

Instead of being met with grace and goodwill, Jeff Metcalf was insulted and removed from the event by police.

Hours after the press conference concluded, the grieving father and Austin’s mother were both swatted. “Swatting” is a dangerous prank involving a fake emergency being called in to police so a heavily armed SWAT team will arrive at your location.

“They should have pulled me up [to the front] and said, ‘We are so sorry. Our condolences.’ The only thing I would have said was, ‘Okay, can we pray together and show the world we’re united,” Jeff Metcalf told The New York Post on Saturday.

The Post reports:

But Metcalf said he meant no ill will by showing up at the event — he simply wanted to “represent Austin” in response to people disparaging him online, painting the late teen as a violent bully.

Metcalf said he’d hoped for an apology from the Anthonys for the actions of their son, who allegedly stabbed Austin, also 17, in the heart during a fight over a seat at a high school track meet in Frisco, Texas, earlier this month.

What he did not expect was to be escorted out of the building by Dallas police.

Activist Dominique Alexander of “Next Generation Action Network” spoke at the event and called Metcalf’s presence at the event “a disrespect to the dignity of his son.”

Jeff Metcalf said of the comments, “After I leave, that Dominique … just gaslights to s— out of me. Says I’m disrespecting, I’m so disrespectful, I’m disrespecting the dignity of my son by showing up … and I’m just like whatever, dude. My character’s been assassinated. Or they’ve tried to assassinate my character.”

“This is my point: We’re both victims. My son’s dead. They’re son will be in prison. But it’s the end of the day, [Karmelo] needs to be accountable for his actions,” the father added.

Earlier on Saturday, Jeff Metcalf had condemned people protesting and demanding justice for his son, and demanded that his murder was not a race issue.

There were two dueling rallies in Frisco, Texas, on Saturday: one supporting justice for Metcalf, and another demanding freedom for his killer, Karmelo Anthony.

“You are part of the f-cking problem, my friend, you are trying to cause more race divide than bridging the gap,” Jeff Metcalf said in a phone call to the protest organizer. “I do not condone anything you do.”

Anthony fatally stabbed 17-year-old Metcalf in the heart at a track meet in Frisco on April 2. He died in the arms of his twin brother.

According to reports, the confrontation began when Metcalf asked Anthony to move from under the Memorial High School team’s tent since he did not attend the school. The incident culminated in Anthony pulling a knife from his backpack and stabbing the honor roll student in the chest.

The Anthony family has since raised nearly $500,000 on GiveSendGo. They have purchased a new Cadillac and moved into a $900,000 home.

Anthony has admitted to the stabbing and is charged with first-degree murder. He was released from custody last week after his bond was lowered to $250,000.

After many years in the wilderness, Ann Coulter is finally back on Team Trump.

The conservative commentator and columnist appeared on C-SPAN this weekend where she answered calls from the public about her views on the current administration.

When asked by the host her initial thoughts, Coulter described it as the “most wonderful 100 days in U.S. history,” adding that she “can’t believe how great Trump is.”

She explained:

You know, I campaigned with Trump when he was running in 2016. He did ask for a copy of my book, Adios America. A lot of the immigration stuff came from that. Huge fan. I was ecstatic the night he won.

Then he hired Jared Kushner and Gary Cohn and turned the keys of the kingdom over to Wall Street. And it was basically, you know, Jeb Bush. So I gently encouraged him to go back to the great stuff he had campaigned on.

I showed up in the Oval Office. I didn’t release this, but it came out. I think the yelling and cursing was so loud in the Oval Office about three months into his first term and just yelled at him.

I wasn’t the first one to use the F-word, but oh boy did that fly. Because he wasn’t keeping his promises on trade, on anchor babies, and especially the wall, the wall, the wall.

I say that to say I think we’re actually kind of lucky that he lost in 2020 and that the left spent four years absolutely persecuting him, prosecuting. I mean the absurd things they went after him and his supporters for. And apparently that made him mad.

So term two, I’m getting everything I voted for. I mean even more. I can’t believe it. Every day it’s things I didn’t even think of. Yes, the water pressure, the showers, the toilets, the going after the universities, the anchor baby executive order, which I understand as of yesterday will be going before the Supreme Court. I’m very happy about that.

Congress should pass a law to make it permanent, but hopefully the Supreme Court will rule the right way because I believe the law as I described in Adios America is absolutely clear on that, which I’m happy to elaborate on.

Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito and Justice Clarence Thomas

In a blistering dissent, Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito, joined by Justice Clarence Thomas, has called out the reckless and legally dubious move by the Court’s liberal majority to block President Donald Trump’s lawful efforts to deport dangerous foreign nationals under the Alien Enemies Act.

The U.S. Supreme Court issued a late-night, unsigned emergency order blocking President Donald Trump from deporting foreign nationals tied to the violent Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang, who are being held at the Bluebonnet Detention Center in Texas under the centuries-old Alien Enemies Act.

According to the order:

“There is before the Court an application on behalf of a putative class of detainees seeking an injunction against their removal under the Alien Enemies Act. The matter is currently pending before the Fifth Circuit. Upon action by the Fifth Circuit, the Solicitor General is invited to file a response to the application before this Court as soon as possible.

The Government is directed not to remove any member of the putative class of detainees from the United States until further order of this Court. See 28 U. S. C. §1651(a). Justice Thomas and Justice Alito dissent from the Court’s order. Statement from Justice Alito to follow.”

The ruling came in response to a hastily filed emergency appeal from the ACLU on behalf of a “putative class” of noncitizen detainees.

According to ACLU, “Plaintiffs learned that the government has begun giving notices of removal to class members, in English only, which do not say how much time individuals have to contest their removal or even how to do so… And officers last night told class members that they will be removed within 24 hours, which expires as early as this afternoon. Upon information and belief, individuals have already been loaded on to buses.”

In a fiery dissent joined by Justice Clarence Thomas, Alito took direct aim at the Court’s liberal majority, blasting their eleventh-hour injunction as legally questionable and procedurally incoherent.

“Literally in the middle of the night, the Court issued unprecedented and legally questionable relief without giving the lower courts a chance to rule, without hearing from the opposing party, within eight hours of receiving the application, with dubious factual support for its order, and without providing any explanation for its order,” Alito wrote in his opinion.

“I refused to join the Court’s order because we had no good reason to think that, under the circumstances, issuing an order at midnight was necessary or appropriate. Both the Executive and the Judiciary have an obligation to follow the law. The Executive must proceed under the terms of our order in Trumpv. J.G.G., 604 U. S. (2025) (per curiam), and this Court should follow established procedures.”

According to Alito, the Supreme Court only had jurisdiction if the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals had jurisdiction first. And the Fifth Circuit could only act if the order appealed from was a denial of a preliminary injunction—not a temporary restraining order (TRO).

Alito made it clear that the far-left groups like the ACLU were manipulating the process by prematurely appealing something that wasn’t even formally denied. The High Court, according to Alito, took the bait—something he says violates precedent and basic legal procedure.

The emergency request did not stem from a real, appealable decision. Instead, the ACLU argued the district court had constructively denied a request by not acting fast enough.

“This Court had jurisdiction only if the Court of Appeals had jurisdiction of the applicants’ appeal, and the Court of Appeals had jurisdiction only if the supposed order that the applicants appealed amounted to the denial of a preliminary injunction,” Alito wrote.

“But here, the “order” that applicants appealed was what they viewed as the District Court’s “‘constructive’” denial of their request for a temporary restraining order (TRO).”

Alito said that the Supreme Court intervened before the Fifth Circuit had the chance to weigh in. That violates the normal hierarchy of judicial review.

“When this Court rushed to enter its order, the Court of Appeals was considering the issue of emergency relief, and we were informed that a decision would be forthcoming.  This Court, however, refused to wait,” Alito wrote.

Alito slammed the majority for violating the Court’s own Rule 23.3, which requires seeking relief in lower courts first “except in the most extraordinary circumstances.”

Alito noted that the government had not even been allowed to file a response, either in the Supreme Court or the lower courts, before the injunction was granted. He emphasized that the Court acted solely on claims made by the applicants—illegal alien detainees—without any concrete evidence of “imminent danger of removal.”

President Trump’s deputy chief of staff, Stephen Miller, has said that ordinary Americans deserve reparations for the damage done by mass immigration.

In an interview with Newsmax, Miller outlined in detail how mass immigration and open borders have destroyed so much of civilized life.

Specifically, he was asked by the host about comments by Democrat Senator Sheldon Whitehouse who suggested that the U.S. pay reparations to Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the deported illegal migrant from El Salvador who authorities believe is associated to the brutal MS-13 gang.

Miller responded:

Where do I even begin? Where do I even start? We used to have a functioning public school system in this country. Then we had open borders. Now our schools are in chaos and disarray. We need hundreds of translators.

Nobody’s learning how to read or write. We had an entire generation of Americans — multiple generations, in fact — robbed of educational opportunities.

Look at Los Angeles. Once a paradise of safety, security, and prosperity, entire neighborhoods are occupied and controlled by foreign gangs. Where do all the residents who’ve been displaced, who’ve been forced from Los Angeles – where do they go to get their reparations?

And then, what about the victims of fentanyl poisoning brought in by Democrats’ open border, [the] hundreds of thousands of moms and dads whose kids are dead and buried in the ground. Where do they go to get their reparations from the government?

And then all the women who have been raped, who been beaten, who have been murdered, all the dads who have been shot dead and aren’t home, all the police officers who have been slain by illegal aliens in ambush attacks in the line of duty. Where do any of these people go? Where do any of their families go to get reparations?

There aren’t enough volumes that could fit into a library to calculate the carnage that has been inflicted by the Democrat party’s policy of open borders. We can spend the rest of our lives trying to document those harms.

Where does our whole country go to get repaid for all of the wealth, all of the prosperity and security that has been stolen from us by decades of uncontrolled, illegal mass migration, because we all deserve reparations for what has been stolen from us. It is a tragedy that defies our ability to even describe it.

While the idea of reparations remains highly unlikely, Americans can at least be grateful that the White House’s focus is finally shifting toward the right priorities.

President Donald Trump has wished everyone, “including the Radical Left Lunatics,” a Happy Easter from himself and First Lady Melania.

Trump posted a set of two Easter wishes to his social media platform, Truth Social, on Sunday morning.

In the first Easter post, the president wrote:

“Melania and I would like to wish everyone a very Happy Easter! Whether you are heading out to Church or, watching Service from home, may this day be full of Peace and Joy for all who celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. HE IS RISEN!!”

In a hilarious follow-up post, Trump clarified that he wishes a Happy Easter even to the “Radical Left Lunatics who are fighting and scheming so hard to bring Murderers, Drug Lords, Dangerous Prisoners, the Mentally Insane, and well known MS-13 Gang Members and Wife Beaters, back into our Country” and “the WEAK and INEFFECTIVE Judges and Law Enforcement Officials who are allowing this sinister attack on our Nation to continue.”

Trump wished Joe Biden, the person running his auto-pen, and “all of the people who CHEATED in the 2020 Presidential Election in order to get this highly destructive Moron Elected” a Happy Easter as well.

Trump wrote:

Vice President JD Vance spent Easter Sunday in Vatican City, where he met with Pope Francis.

Vance’s office did not provide details about the meeting, other than saying it was “to exchange Easter greetings.”

The Associated Press reports:

Vance, who converted to Catholicism in 2019, met with the Vatican secretary of state, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, and foreign minister, Archbishop Paul Gallagher, on Saturday.

Vance’s office said he and Parolin “discussed their shared religious faith, Catholicism in the United States, the plight of persecuted Christian communities around the world, and President Trump’s commitment to restoring world peace.”

The Vatican, for its part, said there was an “exchange of opinions” including over migrants and refugees and current conflicts.

The annual White House Easter Egg Roll is scheduled to take place on Monday and will use 30,000 eggs donated by farmers.

“The heart of this event is about bringing joy to children and families, and in these difficult times for egg farmers, it’s important to celebrate wherever we can,” Emily Metz, president and CEO of the Egg Board said in a statement. “Eggs are at the center of cherished Easter and Passover traditions and memories, and this year is no different.”
