Chicago and Philadelphia Cancel Cinco de Mayo Parade to Shield Criminal Illegal Aliens from ICE Raids in Sanctuary City Crackdown

Credit: Wikimedia Common

The sanctuary cities of Chicago and Philadelphia have canceled their annual Cinco de Mayo parades, citing fears of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids targeting criminal illegal aliens.

The decision, announced by local organizers, is being slammed as a blatant attempt to harbor lawbreakers and undermine federal immigration enforcement under President Donald Trump’s renewed crackdown on illegal immigration.

In Chicago, the Cermak Road Chamber of Commerce and Casa Puebla pulled the plug on the Little Village parade, a long-standing celebration of Mexican-American culture, claiming the community is “frightened” by ICE’s efforts to apprehend illegal aliens.

Hector Escobar, president of the chamber, said in a statement,”Our community is very frightened because of the raids and the threat that ICE has imposed on the families that work tirelessly to provide a better future for their kids.”

“Our community has faced bullying and prosecution and are not indulging in community activities, therefore we feel that there is nothing to celebrate.”

Escobar told ABC News, “See, some of them, they don’t even want to go to work and some of them, they’ve taken a high risk. And, definitely, it’s not much to celebrate.”

“We don’t want to have any confrontation or having people taken away from the festival, from the parade to custody… We could have done it with the 50% of the sponsorship, which is great, but it’s not, again, about money. It’s just more about the safety,” Escobar added.

Similarly, Philadelphia’s Carnaval de Puebla, a celebration of Mexican culture scheduled for April 27, was canceled due to concerns over potential ICE enforcement actions.

“People were calling in to say, ‘Unfortunately, we’re not going to be able to make it,’” said event committee member Olga Renteria. “Especially when people are coming from California, Chicago, Mexico. Entire families are coming, so they don’t want to be separated.”

President Trump’s administration has made no secret of its intent to target sanctuary cities like Chicago and Illinois, where local officials openly defy ICE detainer requests.

Trump’s border czar, Tom Homan, warned Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson and Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker that non-cooperation would not be tolerated. “If they want to harbor criminals, they’ll face consequences,” Homan declared at a recent GOP event, vowing to prosecute officials who obstruct federal efforts.

Since January, ICE has ramped up operations nationwide, arresting thousands of illegal aliens, including those with violent criminal records.

“They Should Lose Their License!” — President Trump FIRES OFF on Fake News ‘CBS and 60 Minutes’ — Urges FCC to Impose Maximum Fines and Punishment After Latest Round of Fake News Attacks

Sunday night marked another explosive chapter in President Trump’s ongoing battle with the dishonest corporate media, as he fired off a pair of Truth Social posts eviscerating the long-disgraced CBS program “60 Minutes” for airing not one—but two—blatantly false hit pieces against him.

This is not the first time “60 Minutes” was accused of running deliberately false reports in order to take down President Trump.

It can be recalled that ’60 Minutes’ cut Kamala’s nonsensical answer to a question and replaced it with a completely separate sentence she said earlier in the interview. This was fraud and election interference.

ELECTION INTERFERENCE! Fake News ’60 Minutes’ Caught Editing Kamala’s Nonsensical Answer with Previous Soundbite to Make Her Sound Coherent and Normal – VIDEO RELEASED

In recent news, CBS is now considering settling a $10 billion lawsuit brought by Trump over its deceptively edited ’60 Minutes’ interview with Kamala Harris prior to the 2024 election.

Sources inside CBS, as reported by CNN, revealed that discussions of a potential settlement have “sparked outrage” in the newsroom.

Executives are reportedly fearful that the lawsuit could derail the network’s high-profile merger talks with Skydance Media.

CBS doctored Kamala Harris’s clumsy interview to make it look like she was making sense.  Kamala could not even answer simple questions on the campaign without falling apart so CBS and “60 Minutes” gave her a hand up.

President Trump Responds to “The Greatest Fraud in Broadcast History” After Fake News ’60 Minutes’ is Busted Editing Kamala’s Nonsensical Answer with Previous Soundbite, Calls for CBS to Lose its Broadcasting License

This week’s broadcast took things even further, Trump said, as CBS aired two separate “stories” attacking him over Ukraine and his America-first vision of acquiring Greenland.

President Trump: I just finished watching 60 Minutes, the FAKE News Show that was scandalously responsible for REMOVING a terrible and incompetently delivered answer, by failed Presidential Candidate Kamala Harris, to an interview on 60 Minutes, just prior to Election Day, and putting in its place a completely different answer to a completely different question, in order to make Kamala look “coherent.”

Now tonight, with two separate but highly inaccurate stories about “TRUMP,” they’re at it again. The people at CBS Fake News just don’t get it!

In his second Truth post of the night blasting “60 Minutes,” Trump blasts the far-left production company for attacking Trump on the endless globalist war in Ukraine and a completely dishonest take on Greenland and the president’s stated goal of bringing the icy nation under US control.

Trump concluded by calling on FCC Chairman Brendan Carr to impose “maximum fines and punishment” on CBS, demanding that the outlet lose its broadcasting license for its “unlawful and illegal behavior.”

President Trump: Almost every week, 60 Minutes, which is being sued for Billions of Dollars for the fraud they committed in the 2024 Presidential Election with their Interview of Failed Presidential Candidate Kamala Harris, mentions the name “TRUMP” in a derogatory and defamatory way, but this Weekend’s “BROADCAST” tops them all.

They did not one, but TWO, major stories on “TRUMP,” one having to do with Ukraine, which I say is a War that would never have happened if the 2020 Election had not been RIGGED, in other words, if I were President and, the other story was having to do with Greenland, casting our Country, as led by me, falsely, inaccurately, and fraudulently.

I am so honored to be suing 60 Minutes, CBS Fake News, and Paramount, over their fraudulent, beyond recognition, reporting. They did everything possible to illegally elect Kamala, including completely and corruptly changing major answers to Interview questions, but it just didn’t work for them.

They are not a “News Show,” but a dishonest Political Operative simply disguised as “News,” and must be responsible for what they have done, and are doing.

They should lose their license! Hopefully, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), as headed by its Highly Respected Chairman, Brendan Carr, will impose the maximum fines and punishment, which is substantial, for their unlawful and illegal behavior. CBS is out of control, at levels never seen before, and they should pay a big price for this. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

Jase Robertson Shares Alarming News About His Dad and Now His Mom Too

In the latest crushing news update out of the Robertson family about family patriarch Phil, his son confirmed in a podcast earlier this month that the “Duck Dynasty” legend was in bad shape with his Alzheimer’s disease.

The news comes as Miss Kay, Phil’s wife, has been slowly recovering from an injury last month.

“Tell you the truth, it hasn’t been good,” Jase Robertson, Phil’s son and “Duck Dynasty” co-star, said during his podcast April 3, according to the U.K. Daily Mail.

When people ask how his parents are doing, he said he’ll tell it to them straight: “I’m just giving the blunt truth. I’ll say ‘not good,’” Jase said.

He said that he and other Robertsons were making 78-year-old Phil and 77-year-old Kay “comfortable and we’re doing the best we can. So I think that’s just what you do.”

Kay was the worse of the two after a fall and an infection had her in a dangerous place, although Jase said she was on the mend.

“For my mom, it’s been a lot better this past week, because she was really not doing good,” he said.

“She got an infection from a fall, from a cut that had happened earlier…she’s still in the hospital, but [now it’s] more rehab, physically, and trying to get her to eat,” he added. “We were kinda dealing with the fact that maybe this is it.”

“That’s what it seemed like in the moment. It seemed close there. So it was difficult.”

The injury occurred back in February — and that was, according to Jase, “a horror show.” He said he learned about it before a public speaking engagement.

“I was fixing to get up onstage and I see this picture of my mom, I was like, oh man. I was like, ‘get her to the hospital,’” he said.

Phil, however, now seems to be in worse shape; while “Duck Dynasty: The Revival” is supposedly set to debut sometime this summer, Phil — one of the most visible members of the cast — won’t be returning due to his poor health.

Of course, those familiar with the Robertsons — whose motto is “faith, family and ducks” — know that Phil is a passionate Christian who has spent his career sharing his faith, often at a great cost.

He’s also a man who’s lived through some rough-and-tumble times in his life, coming to the Lord after a separation from his wife in the 1970s.

“My life was spiraling out of control in a hurry,” Phil told the “700 Club” in 2013, according to a report from the Christian Post.

“It’s literally what Jesus said, ‘from darkness to light.’”

That same year, he talked about where his lifestyle had gotten him — and others.

“You can only run sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll so far. The bottom line is what came out of that movement is what you’re now witnessing,” he said.

“They had little innocent names; they called us ‘hippies’ and ‘flower children.’ That movement lured 60 million babies out of their mothers’ wombs. What came out of that are universities that take our children and warp their minds – the ungodliness is literally rampant. All of the diseases that go with immorality, all of that stuff came out of my generation.”

Phil added that his mission involves “try[ing] to make amends, and go forth and tell people about Jesus and what he’s done for us on the cross. I’ve repented, and I’m trying to get my generation to do the same thing.”

He’s done well, and — from the sound of things — he’s running the final leg of a race that will end with many, many eternal rewards.

That doesn’t make it any easier, however. Our thoughts and prayers are with him, his wife, and the entire Robertson family during this trying time.

EXCLUSIVE: Proud Boys’ Zach Rehl and Joe Biggs Speak Out After Trump Pardons — U.S. Government Continues to Persecute These Veterans Despite Their Release by President Trump (VIDEO)

The Gateway Pundit’s Jim Hoft interviews Zach Rehl and Joe Biggs from the Proud Boys on their latest challenges since their release from prison.

The Gateway Pundit sat down with Zach Rehl and Joe Biggs, who were recently released from prison thanks to President Donald Trump.

The two men discuss the ongoing financial and legal hardships they face since the Veterans Administration cut their benefits BEFORE they were even charged with a crime following the January 6 protests and riot at the US Capitol.

The way these two veterans have been treated by their government will make your blood boil.

VA benefit cuts, Treasury demands, and barriers to rebuilding their lives. They share shocking insights into government tactics and their urgent need for justice.

Zach Rehl, while incarcerated, received letters from the Treasury Department demanding $95,000, an inflated figure tied to his VA disability benefits.

The VA retroactively cut his benefits after his arrest, claiming overpayment from January 5 onward, before he was charged with seditious conspiracy.

Rehl alleges this was an attempt to “financially break” his family, with no clear explanation for the additional $25,000 added to the initial $70,000 demand. This was all while he sat in prison, an innocent man who was set up in his case by the government.

Marine Vet Zach Rehl Ordered To PAY BACK Nearly $100k In Military Benefits While Serving 15-Year Prison Sentence for Wrong Think

** You can support Zach Rehl here.

Joe Biggs faced similar disgusting tactics, with the VA, IRS, and a lawsuit from a D.C. church targeting his finances. Biggs claims donors who raised money for him were subpoenaed, discouraging support and leaving him unable to earn any income.

“Everyone lives in fear that if you give me money, you’re going to have to go before a woke D.C. judge,” Biggs said. This is a travesty considering Biggs was found guilty in a DC BLM flag-burning incident when he was not in the area and owes the church money for a flag he never destroyed.

Both men, decorated veterans, had their VA benefits revoked before formal charges were filed. Biggs, a Purple Heart recipient, described feeling “betrayed” by a country he served honorably.

Biggs recounted being escorted out of a VA facility in Daytona Beach when seeking mental health support, with security threatening police action. “What that does to you psychologically as a veteran… I already have PTSD issues from combat,” he said.

Zach Rehl, who holds two degrees and seven professional licenses, said his career is stalled because his licenses are “null and void” due to the convictions.

Both men claimed their trial was biased, held in D.C. where they believe the jury pool was predisposed against them. Biggs noted the jury foreman was a trans rights activist, and Judge Timothy Kelly allegedly dismissed exculpatory evidence while allowing irrelevant Proud Boys-related videos to inflame jurors.

Rehl cited FBI informants and binders of agent communications mocking them and plotting their downfall, suggesting a coordinated effort.

One informant testified that Proud Boys were not violent on January 6, yet was discredited by prosecutors.

Joe Biggs referenced lead prosecutor Jason McCullough admitting the case could only succeed in D.C., where the narrative could be controlled.

Zach Rehl’s family today faces financial strain in Philadelphia, unable to relocate or secure stable income due to doxxing threats from “left-wing extremists.” He called himself a “burden” despite his wife and daughters’ loyalty.

Joe Biggs’ daughter cannot understand why Daddy can’t attend school events, as his convictions bar him from passing background checks. Joe’s mother was forced into early retirement due to IRS pressure.

Joe Biggs and Zach Rehl’s interview reveals a sobering reality for some January 6 defendants: release from prison doesn’t end their ordeal. Facing financial ruin, loss of benefits, and what they call a corrupt justice system, they’re fighting to reclaim their lives. Their call for a pardon resonates as a plea not just for themselves, but for their families, caught in what they describe as a political vendetta.

These men and fellow Proud Boys and Oath Keepers need pardons.  President Trump can do that.  Pray that these men receive the resolution they deserve.

POLICE STATE: Loudoun County Child Protective Services Took a 1-Month-Old Breastfeeding Baby from Her Mother and Navy Veteran Father at Gunpoint — Without Charges, a Crime, or Due Process

A U.S. Navy veteran and his wife were subjected to the full weight of the government’s iron fist as Child Protective Services—backed by armed deputies—stormed their home and seized their one-month-old, breastfeeding infant.

There was no warrant. No due process. No criminal charge.

This happened not in communist China, nor in North Korea. It happened in suburban Virginia. In America. In 2025.

Farzin Yazdani, a Navy veteran, father, and respected engineer, has become the latest victim of a weaponized family court system—a system increasingly aligned with radical bureaucrats and progressive ideologues who seem hellbent on dismantling the American family under the guise of state welfare.

“I’m begging everybody who’s reading this that there’s a crime in progress currently, Loudoun County Government has abducted and falsely imprisoned a one-month-old breastfeeding baby from its innocent mother. Please spread the story far and wide. Interact with it like it Do whatever the algorithm needs to spread this story for the love of God,” Yazdani wrote on X.

— Farzin Yazdani (@certusverna) April 6, 2025

Loudoun County Child Protective Services (CPS), flanked by armed deputies from the sheriff’s department, stormed the Yazdani home in what the father describes as a “coordinated ambush” based on a false affidavit from a bitter ex-wife embroiled in a custody battle.

The infant—completely healthy, cared for, and bonded to her mother—was removed with zero regard for constitutional rights, familial bonds, or even basic human decency.

Baby Roxana (Credit: Yazdani)

Yazdani wrote in a post on X:

“This is government terrorism. And every man in America needs to understand: if it can happen to me, it can happen to you.

I may have been the target of an investigation. There are no charges or litigation pending against me. If they bring some, Fine—I’ll face it. I’ll fight it. But what justifies taking my children away from their innocent mother? What justifies ripping a one-month-old breastfeeding baby from the woman who carried her, nurtured her, and has never been accused of anything?

There is no justification. There is no logic. There is only cruelty.

This is what happens when the system convinces itself you’re a “bad guy.” It doesn’t need proof. It doesn’t need due process. It just needs perception. One bitter ex, one dishonest affidavit, and suddenly, the state throws its full weight at you—not just to punish you, but to destroy your family.

Even when the lies are exposed—even when you have recordings, evidence, proof of innocence—they don’t stop. The stain of the accusation is enough. And now I’m under scrutiny, treated like I need to be controlled, while the people I love most are used as leverage in this twisted game.

They’re not protecting anyone. They’re destroying a peaceful family. They’re endangering children. They’ve removed a fragile newborn from the safest place she could be—her mother’s arms—and handed her over to a system where children do die in state care.

This isn’t justice. This is government-sponsored child abuse. This is psychological warfare. This is terror.

I’ve been honorable. I’ve been respectful. I’ve shown love and restraint even toward those who’ve betrayed me. But I will not be silent while this happens. Everyone needs to hear this. Everyone needs to wake up.

Please share this. Help me make noise. Help me expose what they’re doing—not just to me, but to thousands of families across this country.”

The October 14 Raid: A Family Torn Apart

Yazdani says the trauma began long before this latest attack. In October 2024, Loudoun County deputies arrived with his ex-wife and her new husband to forcibly remove his 5-year-old son—without investigation, warrant, or questions.

Yazdani, calm and compliant, was placed in handcuffs by Deputy Stephen V. Mieszala, who would later be caught withholding body cam footage and showing up at custody hearings alongside the ex-wife.

Yazdani wrote:

On October 14th, 2024, at 3:00 p.m., I was exercising my court-approved visitation with my son when my ex-wife, Amanda [Macintosh (formerly Jones)], showed up unannounced and uninvited to my brother’s home—the former residence of my late father.

She brought with her Deputy First Class Stephen V. Mieszala (#3343) of the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office. I had calmly asked for an extension to my weekend visit. Amanda refused—and instead escalated the situation by bringing law enforcement to a peaceful home.

What happened next was pure abuse of power.

Without cause, warrant, or investigation, Deputy Mieszala immediately placed me in handcuffs, ignoring the fact that I was calm, cooperative, and clearly trying to de-escalate.

You will hear in this video the most painful part of all:
My 5-year-old son screaming and begging to stay with me—his father—as I’m arrested in front of him. That is a sound I will never forget.
And neither will he.

This moment shattered more than just my pride. It devastated my relationship with my brother, a law-abiding citizen who now believes I brought shame and scrutiny to his home. We haven’t spoken since.

I am a U.S. Navy veteran, an engineer, a business owner, a father, and a homeowner in Loudoun County. I have no criminal history. I’ve served my country and community honorably. And still, I was treated like a criminal—with my son forced to watch.

Deputy Mieszala later falsely claimed he witnessed an assault, alleging that I “retreated into the house” and the door struck Amanda. But the body cam footage—which he withheld—proved that never happened. In fact, if he had actually witnessed an assault, why was I detained while he “investigated”?

During the arrest, I told him the cuffs were too tight. Instead of loosening them, he tightened them further. I was placed in a hot patrol car without airflow, left to suffer. Even after the magistrate released me on my own recognizance, I was held for 6.5 more hours under the excuse of a “shift change.” That’s not procedure. That’s punishment.

The charge? Nolle prosequi.
Dismissed.
Because there was no evidence, no crime, and a lying officer who withheld the truth.

Deputy Mieszala is now a witness for Amanda in our custody case—using his badge and the credibility of his office to further a personal agenda. This is weaponization of law enforcement, plain and simple.

This video isn’t just about me.
It’s about how the system destroys families under color of law.

No Charges, No Crimes, Just Guns: The March 28 Abduction

Fast forward to March 28, 2025. Loudoun County CPS, led by employees like Kellie Hendricks and Chandler Evans, escalated their attack.

Without warning, warrant, or evidence, they stormed Yazdani’s home, backed by armed deputies, and demanded his one-month-old daughter, Roxana. The baby, still breastfeeding and wholly dependent on her mother, Emily, was taken at gunpoint.

Loudoun County CPS, with no emergency declaration and no warrant, arrived to seize baby Roxana—just 1 month old—from her mother’s arms. The baby, still breastfeeding, was taken by force. No medical emergency. No risk of harm. Just a social worker acting on hearsay, backed by armed government muscle.

For eight excruciating days, Roxana remained in government custody. She was reportedly injured while under state care—a fragile newborn, taken from her source of nourishment and placed in a cold, impersonal system known for traumatizing the very children it claims to protect.

Video evidence now released by Yazdani shows the disturbing truth: law enforcement and CPS agents operating more like a paramilitary unit than civil servants. Deputies admit on camera that they weren’t briefed on the facts. One says, “We’re just here to enforce,” even when told the child was only 1 month old.

The Fight Continues

After eight days of torment, Farzin Yazdani and his wife, Emily, reclaimed their daughter.

Yazdani said in a video update:

“It’s really disheartening that elements of the Left in Loudoun County believe that they have more rights to my children than I do—that they know better for my kids than I do—that they can come here illegally, abduct my kids at gunpoint, and take them for five days without arresting me or charging me with anything.

I don’t have a criminal history or background. I didn’t do anything wrong. Anything alleged against me right now is just from a former ex, and the source of it is a former ex with an axe to grind—who I’m in custody court with right now.

It’s outrageous that they can weaponize government to the point that they come and take a breastfeeding baby from its mama. Innocent, both of them.

The ex is accusing me of XYZ, and that’s fine—I’ll fight it in court. No problem with that. But what did this baby do? What did her mama do? This is not right.

This can happen to you. If you think this can’t happen to you, and that taxpayer-funded family destruction is something that is okay—you must be liberal. You must be a liberal Democrat to believe that taxpayer-funded family destruction is okay—to rip a one-month-old breastfeeding baby away from its mama, both innocent, without due process, without an emergency.

It was all dismissed on a motion to strike.”

Though Roxana is now back with her parents, the battle is far from over. Yazdani has launched a lawsuit against Loudoun County CPS and multiple actors involved, including Deputy Mieszala and CPS agents who illegally seized and placed the baby into the foster-to-adopt system.

Legal costs are mounting—over $375,000 and growing by the day. But Yazdani isn’t just fighting for his own children. He’s fighting for yours.

According to the fundraising campaign:

This was a coordinated attack—no warning, no chance to respond, and no attempt to verify the truth.
They acted unlawfully. And they got caught.

We fought back.
At the five-day hearing, the removal order was dismissed.
We freed our daughters from CPS custody and proved they acted illegally.

But now comes the cover-up.

We filed a FOIA request to obtain our own records and our children’s records. CPS denied it—because they know what they did was wrong.
They’re hiding their corruption, obstructing transparency, and forcing us to sue them just to access our own information. That’s how deep this runs.

This isn’t about protecting children.
It’s about protecting their power and shielding their crimes.

And while we were lucky to get our daughters back, most families aren’t so lucky. Most fathers suffer in silence. They don’t have the evidence, the voice, or the resources to fight.

We do—and we’re fighting for all of them.

We’re suing CPS, pursuing defamation claims, exposing every corrupt actor involved, and pushing for urgent legislative reform to shut this system down.

But the cost is steep.
We’re facing over $375,000 in legal expenses, income loss, and ongoing battles.

If you believe in family, freedom, and due process…
Please donate—anything you give, even just a $1 helps with these heavy legal costs.

If just 400,000 people gave $1, this battle would be fully funded—and CPS would finally be held accountable.

Thank you for standing with us. This isn’t just our fight. It’s a fight for every American family that could be next.

Videos That Will Boil Your Blood: Government Overreach Caught on Tape

These videos don’t just show a tragic miscarriage of justice—they expose what happens when unchecked bureaucrats, activist social workers, and obedient enforcers of the state come together to trample over civil liberties in the name of “child protection.”

Video 1: Chilling: 1st Contact: Loudoun Co. CPS and sheriff lay an ambush to abduct my breastfeeding Baby

“Loudoun County: The Gestapo is Alive and Operating—Right Here in America

Kellie Hendricks is using your taxpayer dollars to manipulate false statements from our minors at school, obtain fake affidavits to separate families without evidence, without a crime, and without due process. In Loudoun County, all it takes is a false affidavit—no evidence, no investigation, no chance to defend yourself.

They’ll show up at your door with armed officers and emergency removal orders, all done in the shadows. They can take your children—your newborn, your breastfeeding baby—without warning, without a hearing, without justice.

They’ll twist your words, manipulate your children, and build a case off fear and coercion. This isn’t child protection. This is government overreach. This is authoritarianism. What you’re about to watch is Orwellian. This is the police state in action. This is Gestapo-style family destruction, happening in 2025, in the United States of America.”

“Loudoun County: This Is How the Government Kidnaps Children in America

The day after they ambushed my home with armed officers, a Loudoun County Family Services worker returned to serve emergency removal orders—not just for one of my daughters, but both. She sent those orders to my work email, which she illegally obtained by falsely claiming the school provided it.

She emailed the documents just three minutes before showing up at my door, denying me any opportunity to respond, to read, or to involve my attorney. When I requested she speak with my lawyer, she refused. This was not oversight. This was a coordinated abuse of power.

There were no charges, no evidence, no hearing—no due process. Just state force. My children were abducted under color of law, with full disregard for the Constitution.

They took a breastfeeding infant from her mother. They did not allow me to speak. They refused legal representation. They did not present facts—they acted on secret claims and unsubstantiated accusations. This is not child welfare. This is state-sponsored kidnapping. This is Orwellian America in 2025.

No evidence. No trial. No rights. Just raw authority, funded by taxpayers, targeting innocent families. Watch what happened. Understand how fragile your rights are. Because if they can do this to my family—they can do it to yours.”

“Loudoun County: SWAT Threats, False Allegations, and the Government’s War on Families

This video is part of a long, ongoing pattern of abuse by Loudoun County Family Services and local law enforcement. This didn’t start yesterday—it’s been months.

Family Services has been secretly visiting my stepdaughter Melanie’s school, manipulating a minor to speak falsely against her mother and me—her stepfather—who has stepped up to care for her with no biological obligation, only love and responsibility.

This entire campaign was launched on the back of false allegations from a bitter ex, Amanda, who weaponized the system to attack our home.

And the state bought it—without vetting, without evidence, without care for truth or consequence. In this video, an officer tells me that SWAT would be called to my home if I didn’t hand over my children—even though they weren’t present. No charges. No due process. No basic decency.

Just raw coercion under color of law. They’ve taken a breastfeeding infant from her mother. They’ve shattered our peace, our trust, and our rights—funded by your tax dollars and justified by lies. This is state-sponsored family destruction, and it is happening right now, in Loudoun County, Virginia.”

“Loudoun County: Threatened With Felony Charges If We Don’t Hand Over Our Children

In this video, Loudoun County Family Services and law enforcement escalate their campaign against our family by threatening us with felony criminal charges for abducting minors—unless we immediately surrender our children.

At the time, Emily was simply at the pharmacy getting medication because she wasn’t feeling well. In response, they threatened to put out an APB (All Points Bulletin) for her, treating her like a fugitive—for nothing more than caring for her health while raising her children.

This isn’t child protection. This is coercion. This is government intimidation, raw and unchecked.

They used threats of prosecution, police escalation, and fabricated urgency to terrorize a peaceful home, manipulate the law, and separate children from loving parents—without cause, without due process, and without conscience.

What you’ll see here is the real face of state power weaponized against families. If this can happen to us, it can happen to any American family.”

“Loudoun County: Police Admit They’re Just Here to Enforce, Not Question—Even When Taking a Child

In this video, the officers on scene openly admit they don’t fully understand what’s happening. They acknowledge that they’re just there to “keep the peace”—not to investigate, question, or protect my family.

Their job is simple: make sure my child is removed from me safely, and that I don’t protest too much. They were not briefed on the facts. They did not know the child in question was a one-month-old breastfeeding baby.

They did not question the legality, urgency, or morality of the removal. This is how the government functions when its parts are disconnected: Family Services acts in secret, without oversight.

Law enforcement shows up with force, blindly enforcing whatever they’re told. The result? Innocent families destroyed, rights violated, and children traumatized.

The officers didn’t know. They didn’t ask. And they still carried it out. This is how constitutional rights are erased—not with violence, but with silence and compliance.”

There were no charges, no due process, no emergency, and no legal justification—only a corrupt system and a cold handoff. Our baby needs her mother. She needs to be breastfed, burped, held, changed, comforted—every hour, every minute.

If left crying, she could become physically ill. She could die from neglect or stress. And yet, the state took her—like we’re not human beings. Like we’re not even citizens.

Chandler Evans, working for Loudoun County, is now placing our baby into the adoption system. They’ve stolen our child under the color of law—without proof, without a crime, without allowing us to defend ourselves.

This is not child welfare. This is cruel and unusual punishment, delivered by the government against an innocent family. This is how they do it in America. Loudoun County, Virginia. 2025.”

Ecuador’s Center-Right President is Comfortably Re-Elected — Communist Opponent Refuses to Concede and Alleges Fraud

Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa

Ecuador’s election authorities have declared President Daniel Noboa the winner of Sunday’s runoff vote.

Far-left opposition candidate Luisa González, who is the protegé of the former socialist leader Rafael Correa, has so far refused to concede.

With 91 percent of votes counted, Noboa held and insurmountable clear lead of 56 percent fo Gonzalez’s 44 percent.

Diana Atamaint, head of the electoral council, said the results showed an “irreversible trend” confirming Noboa’s victory.

However, Gonzalez told supporters Quito that the official count did not match internal polling and she could not be the loser.

“We will ask for a recount and for the ballot boxes to be reopened,” González said.

Correa, meanwhile, took to the X platform to insist that results were “impossible” because she had not improved her vote tally from the first round of voting.

“We all know these results are impossible,” he wrote. “We got the same 44 percent as in the first round.”

”These criminals could have concealed it a bit better,” he added.

Todos saben que estos resultados son imposibles. Sacamos el mismo 44% de la primera vuelta.

Home to around 18 million people, Ecuador has long swung between socialist rule under Rafael Correa and more market-oriented administrations.

During her campaign, González vowed to increase public spending and revive Correa-era social programs, while also seeking closer ties with socialist regimes in Nicaragua, Cuba, and Venezuela.

In recent years, Ecuador has seen a surge in gang violence fueled mainly by drug trafficking, making national security a central issue in Noboa’s campaign.

The country remains one of the few in Latin America to officially use the U.S. dollar—an arrangement previously opposed by left-wing governments.

At just 35 years old, Noboa is one of the world’s youngest heads of state. He also holds U.S. citizenship, having been born in Miami.

Trump’s Desperado Mission

Trump’s Desperado Mission

Has something gone quite wrong or not?

In the second century before Christ, Tiberius Sempronius Gracchus, the Roman tribune of the plebs, proposed a reactionary program of legal and economic reform to address the republic’s pressing problems, particularly the dispossession of small landowners by the planter class, which had sapped the army of its traditional recruiting base and given birth to a large, unstable, propertyless urban underclass. The planter class saw these reforms as an unacceptable attack on their own interests and, after an escalating series of legal showdowns between Gracchus and his fellow aristocrats, eventually whipped up a mob and killed him.

When Eli Lake compared Donald Trump to Gracchus in 2022, he was addressing Trump’s violation of longstanding norms of behavior and the Democrats’ self-destructive reaction to it. Trump’s second term invites a new comparison, this time to the actual content of his policies. The markets have decided that these are radical and a matter of life-or-death, going into a frenzy after the announcement of Trump’s Liberation Day tariffs; the markets’ spokesmen, including the hyperventilating Bill Ackman, have made the numbers’ message explicit. The tariffs are a frontal assault on the money power—so frontal that Trump pulled back, lest the entire thing go kaput. Meanwhile, the usual chorus of conservative naysayers has been wringing hands, clutching pearls, etc. about this attack on an economic configuration that has, to hear them say it, been just dandy.

A basic question of our time is whether the Bush-Clinton-Bush-Obama economic order is basically good or has in some deeply fundamental way gone wrong. Trump’s billionaire allies of convenience, who in large part made their fortunes under that economic order and have until recently been the happy cronies of its authors, are unsurprisingly fine with business as usual. A large portion of the public, however, disagrees. (And if between a third and a half of your voting population believes that something is fundamentally wrong, isn’t that itself a basic problem with the system?) They see that there are real disadvantages to being a mere consuming superpower; they know that there is a reason that China has consistently sacrificed financial and consumer interests to maintain and expand its industrial base. To quote a seminal text:

The same can be said for Trumpian trade policies and anti-globalization instincts. Who cares if productivity numbers tick down, or if our already somnambulant GDP sinks a bit further into its pillow? Nearly all the gains of the last 20 years have accrued to the junta anyway. It would, at this point, be better for the nation to divide up more equitably a slightly smaller pie than to add one extra slice—only to ensure that it and eight of the other nine go first to the government and its rentiers, and the rest to the same four industries and 200 families.

Will this work? Ask a pessimist, get a pessimistic answer. So don’t ask. Ask instead: is it worth trying? Is it better than the alternative? If you can’t say, forthrightly, “yes,” you are either part of the junta, a fool, or a conservative intellectual.

To be sure, I’m not keen on the execution. The messaging has been quite bad, sometimes literally incoherent; a longer phase-in period would, by my lights, have helped the cause. (Although not too long—midterms aren’t far off, and the White House is hardly a sure bet in 2028.) But the basic question—do you think we should do something or not?—remains the same. Nobody has ever tried to reverse deindustrialization; perhaps it can’t be done. But if you buy the “Flight 93” argument quoted above, well, grab the sporks and tiny cans of ginger ale! Grab the little red and white packages of weird cookies! It might fail, but trying is better than not trying. If it all seems improvised and desperado-like, well, that’s because it is.

What’s the alternative? In my ideal world, we’d have a carefully measured program of industrial subsidies, a rejiggered international monetary system, and a set of tariff protections. (Actually, in my ideal world, we’d have managed the relative decline of American economic supremacy in a somewhat wiser, more far-seeing fashion.) But the facts on the ground are that the fisc is a mess; the GOP’s majority in Congress is razor-thin, not in step with the president on economic issues, and likely to be blown out in the midterms; and the leverage to bring about a new monetary accord is limited and could take years of negotiation. That leaves us with tariffs, which are in the president’s hands basically by a quirk of New Deal-era legislation. Are you going to try to use the means available to you, those tiny cans of ginger ale and the weird cylindrical pieces of ice, or are you going to settle in for another comfortable year of decline?

Like Gracchus, Trump’s radical economic platform has fundamentally conservative political aims. Like Gracchus’ aristocratic enemies, the money-men are apoplectic. Like Gracchus’ reforms, there are particular shortcomings or things to be desired. But what is the real, viable alternative? Isn’t it better to try something?

The Chinese Honeypot Problem

The Chinese Honeypot Problem

The entrapment and exploitation of American officials by sexual liaisons is a real danger in the new cold war.

The U.S. government recently banned American personnel in China, as well as family members and contractors with security clearances, from any romantic or sexual relationships with Chinese citizens. The policy was put into effect by the departing ambassador Nicholas Burns in January shortly before he left China. The danger of a honeypot scheme, romantically entrapping a diplomat to coerce him into giving up some of America’s secrets, is apparently too high to allow for sexual shenanigans.

A more limited version of the policy was enacted last summer prohibiting U.S. personnel from romantic and sexual relations with Chinese citizens working as local support staff at the U.S. Embassy and consulates in China, including Hong Kong. But Burns broadened it to a blanket ban after concerns were expressed by Congress. The only exception is personnel with pre-existing relationships, who can apply for exemptions.

The new directive mandates anyone with an existing Chinese partner seek an exemption, end the relationship, or leave their post if the exemption is denied. Anyone caught violating policy, say by trying to hide a relationship, will be ordered out of China immediately with all the career consequences you’d expect. Until the ban in January, U.S. personnel in China were required only to report any intimate contact with Chinese citizens to the Embassy’s Regional Security Office, but were not explicitly forbidden from sexual or romantic relationships. The new ban applies only to American diplomats stationed in China and their relationships with locals; diplomats outside of China who enter into romantic relationships with Chinese nationals face other, less stringent, reporting requirements and prohibitions.

Why all the fuss? Because China is considered the top country globally for honeypot schemes. One former Canadian diplomat characterized the situation as “countries have been using sex to gather intel for over 1,000 years, and it hasn’t slowed a bit. Many countries are still carrying on sexpionage, and the number one country is China.” Peter Mattis, a former CIA analyst, said there were at least two publicized cases in which Chinese agents seduced American diplomats in China: “This new rule change suggests the [Chinese] have gotten a lot more aggressive at trying to access the embassy and U.S. government.” Chinese law requires citizens to cooperate with the intelligence services, so even if a Chinese girlfriend is not a spy herself, she may be required to introduce her diplomatic boyfriend to an “uncle” who is.

The UK’s MI5 saw honeytraps as such a concern that it prepared a 14-page document and distributed it to hundreds of British banks, businesses, and financial institutions. Titled “The Threat from Chinese Espionage,” the document described a wide-ranging Chinese effort to blackmail Western businessmen over sexual relationships.

Diplomats and others being forbidden to have romantic or sexual relationships with local nationals abroad is nothing particularly new, albeit new in its present form for China. Such prohibitions were very much a part of the Cold War, and were especially strict within the Soviet Bloc countries, for the same reasons as in modern China. In other countries the relationships may be allowed, as well as regular non-sexual friendships, although the reporting of them is part of a system designed to weed out spies. The exact list of such countries is classified, but we can guess it includes places like North Korea and Cuba, and not countries like Sweden or the UK. The most recently declassified list of such countries dates back to the Cold War, 1987.

That 1987 document also lays out the rules for all contact reporting with designated foreign country nationals, and includes an almost apologetic rationale sure to assuage separated lovers in Beijing:

It is an unfortunate fact of life that targeting and exploitation by foreign intelligence services are occupational hazards for the employees of all foreign affairs agencies because of their job functions and access to classified information. The Department does not wish to intrude into the private lives of its employees. Nonetheless, all contacts with foreign nationals must be considered in the context of your position as an official of the U.S. government and not as a private citizen—that is how the foreign national will perceive you.

But don’t get too comfortable here at home, either, in intimate contacts with foreign nationals. Intelligence experts are becoming increasingly convinced six high-end brothels busted last year in the suburbs of Boston and Washington, D.C. were set up by a foreign nation—possibly China—as an espionage honeytrap. The brothels targeted politicians, high-ranking government officials, and defense contractors in the Cambridge and Tysons Corner areas. Members of Congress, military officers, and national security contractors who possessed security clearances were among the steady customers, prosecutors say. Clients, who paid up to $600 an hour, also included corporate executives, professors, lawyers, and scientists.

The concept of the honeypot in espionage has a long and salacious history. It’s one of the most classic tools in the spycraft playbook, blending psychological manipulation, seduction, and human weakness to achieve intelligence goals. Use of the technique can be traced to the Greeks and Romans, with dramatic cases strewn throughout the Cold War era: William Kampiles, a CIA clerk, who was seduced by a woman linked to the KGB, leading him to sell the KH-11 spy satellite manual to the Soviets in the 1970s, and U.S. Marine Clayton Lonetree, whose 1980s relationship with a KGB operative lead Russian spies to direct access into the American Embassy in Moscow.

Honeypots remain relevant, especially with digital extensions (catfishing, sextortion) and extensions into cyberspace—fake profiles on dating apps or social media lure targets into sharing personal or even classified information. New battlegrounds emerge regularly, to include LinkedIn, where faux job interest for techies escalates to paid trips to China, where human intel ops and honeypots take over. (And don’t think for a minute the good guys don’t use the same tricks as the bad guys in the Great Game.)

The goal with the changes in allowed relationships in Mission China is to lessen the chances that it all won’t happen again. Those changes in cutting off physical relationships will no doubt be accompanied by digital seduction awareness training for diplomats, military officers, and others who travel or deal with sensitive data. It’s essentially an attempt to “honeypot-proof” things for the 21st century. Will it all happen again anyway? Given human weakness and the matchup of biology versus tradecraft, despite best efforts, it most certainly will.

Trump DOJ Checkmates Judge in Latest Filing in Alleged MS-13 Gang Member Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s Deportation Case

The Trump DOJ opposed requests in alleged MS-13 gang member Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s motion for additional relief.

On Friday, US District Judge of the US District Court for the District of Maryland, Paula Xinis set a new hearing in the case of alleged MS-13 gang member Kilmar Abrego Garcia after the Supreme Court ruled the US must facilitate his return from El Salvador.

The US Supreme Court on Thursday ordered the US to facilitate the return of alleged MS-13 gang member Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

The ruling was unanimous. There was no dissent.

Judge Xinis slammed the Trump Administration during Friday’s hearing and demanded ‘daily updates’ on Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s whereabouts.

The judge said the Trump Admin has made “no meaningful effort to comply” with her order demanding the physical location and custodial status of Abrego Garcia.

“Defendants made no meaningful effort to comply. Instead, they complained that the Order is “unreasonable and impracticable,” and involves “sensitive country-specific considerations wholly inappropriate for judicial review.”” – the judge wrote.

“From this court’s perspective, defendants’ contention that they could not answer these basic questions absent some nonspecific ‘vetting’ that has yet to take place, provides no basis for their lack of compliance,” she wrote.

The judge demanded daily updates on Abrego Garcia.

“Accordingly, it is hereby ORDERED that beginning April 12, 2025, and continuing each day thereafter until further order of the Court, Defendants shall file daily, on or before 5:00 PM ET, a declaration made by an individual with personal knowledge as to any information regarding: (1) the current physical location and custodial status of Abrego Garcia; (2) what steps, if any, Defendants have taken to facilitate his immediate return to the United States; (3) what additional steps Defendants will take, and when, to facilitate his return.1 A follow-up in-person hearing will be scheduled for Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at 4:00 PM,” the judge wrote.

President Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One that he would listen to the Supreme Court.

“If the Supreme Court said, ‘bring somebody back [from deportation],’ I would do that. I respect the Supreme Court… I’m not talking about the lower court. I have great respect for the Supreme Court,” Trump said of the Abrego Garcia case.

The State Department on Saturday told Judge Xinis that Kilmar Agrego Garcia is “alive and secure” at the CECOT prison in El Salvador.

“It is my understanding based on official reporting from our Embassy in San Salvador that Abrego Garcia is currently being held in the Terrorism Confinement Center in El Salvador,” said Michael Kozak, a State Department official.

“He is alive and secure in that facility,” Kozak added. “He is detained pursuant to the sovereign, domestic authority of El Salvador.”

Abrego Garcia’s attorneys filed a motion for three additional types of relief this weekend citing Trump’s comments to reporters aboard Air Force One.

“Yesterday, President Trump confirmed that the United States has the power to facilitate Abrego Garcia’s release from prison and return to the United States,” the attorneys for Abrego Garcia wrote, according to ABC News.

Garcia’s attorneys asked for the US government to be held in contempt for defying the district court’s orders (it didn’t). They also asked for the US government to fly Garcia back to Maryland and grant him parole.

The Trump DOJ responded to Garcia’s motion for additional relief and opposed his requests.

The Trump DOJ said the court needs to clarify “facilitate” and “facilitate release” from prison.

5/ Trump Administration then walks Judge through what SCOTUS actually ordered which was NOT an affirmance as she and Garcia continue to inaccurately claim. Here, Trump Administration stressed points I made earlier concerning what SCOTUS said. pic.twitter.com/0yf9k5fL3R

— Margot Cleveland (@ProfMJCleveland) April 13, 2025

Trump’s DOJ said Judge Xinis did not clarify what “facilitate” meant as the Supreme Court ordered her to do so DOJ lawyers explained what it means in immigration.

Trump said he doesn’t need to ask El Salvador to do anything.

“Defendants understand “facilitate” to mean what that term has long meant in the immigration context, namely actions allowing an alien to enter the United States. Taking “all available steps to facilitate” the return of Abrego Garcia is thus best read as taking all available steps to remove any domestic obstacles that would otherwise impede the alien’s ability to return here. Indeed, no other reading of “facilitate” is tenable—or constitutional—here,” Trump’s DOJ wrote.

“On the flipside, reading “facilitate” as requiring something more than domestic measures would not only flout the Supreme Court’s order, but also violate the separation of powers. The federal courts have no authority to direct the Executive Branch to conduct foreign relations in a particular way, or engage with a foreign sovereign in a given manner,” the Trump DOJ said.

8/ WHOA! Given that Judge did not clarify what “facilitate” meant, as SCOTUS required her to do, Trump says here’s what it means in immigration context and that is what it must mean to be respectful of Article II authority. THIS IS HUGE: Trump is saying he doesn’t pic.twitter.com/DoIAYJrTdv
