From Foggy Bottom to Fertile Ground

From Foggy Bottom to Fertile Ground

Why I abandoned a career in foreign policy.

(By Patrick Jennings/Shutterstock)

Washington, DC, teaches you how to read the room, speak in acronyms, and feign conviction in things you do not believe. I learned that firsthand during my years at the U.S. Department of State, where the highest levels of American diplomacy are often staffed by people who don’t particularly favor Americans. The contempt was rarely explicit, but it was always there—in the disdain for small towns, in the eye-rolls at Christianity, in the quiet belief that the average American was provincial and unenlightened. At first, it was thrilling: the proximity to power, the jargon, the overseas travel. But over time, the sheen wore off. What remained was a gnawing sense that I was just one more cog in a soulless machine—what President Dwight Eisenhower rightly warned against: the military–industrial complex.

Foreign policy, once the noble realm of statesmen and cautious realists, has morphed into a self-justifying industry. Today, its primary products are risk inflation, endless deployments, and strategic ambiguity. It is a culture that rewards cynicism and punishes honesty. In off-the-record moments, colleagues confessed they didn’t believe in the policies that would actually benefit the American people. But the incentives—contract renewals, think tank fellowships, defense consulting gigs—kept everyone in line. It is an ecosystem fueled not by principle, but by inertia, ambition, and defense appropriations.

The deeper I went, the clearer it became: We weren’t solving problems. We were sustaining them. Stabilization missions masked occupation. Democracy promotion meant regime change. We trained “partners” who turned into warlords. And always, there was another summit, another strategy, another surge. Each misstep was treated not as a warning, but as a reason to harden the line.

I left because I couldn’t square that reality with my conscience. I left because I was tired of intellectualizing destruction. And I left because I longed for something rooted in creation rather than collapse.

So I turned to agriculture.

It began not with a business plan, but with a return—to Wyoming, a state I have always loved and where my roots run deep. Along with a steep learning curve, I found a life that, while physically demanding, was spiritually restorative. In agriculture, there is no strategic ambiguity. A seed either grows or it doesn’t; a cow calves or she doesn’t. Nature doesn’t issue press releases. It requires attention, humility, and presence. And it repays those who meet its terms.

Farming and ranching is not a retreat from responsibility; it is its highest form. You feed people. You care for animals. You steward land for the next generation. You live at the mercy of seasons, not polling cycles. You wake up every morning to work that matters—not in theory, but in practice. And in doing so, you rediscover what Henry David Thoreau once wrote about: “Come forth to this hill at sunset to behold and commune with something greater than man.”

Notably, my disillusionment coincided with a moment when the foreign policy establishment was being openly questioned in a way I had never seen. In 2016, I joined President Donald J. Trump’s campaign, because he marked a sharp departure from the bipartisan consensus that had governed American foreign policy since the Cold War. He was willing to say aloud what many inside the Beltway only whispered: that our endless wars were wasteful, that NATO’s burden-sharing was lopsided, and that the defense industry had too much power over national priorities.

In Washington, those ideas were dismissed as isolationist or unserious. But to many Americans—especially in the rural counties where sons and daughters had borne the burden of deployments—they rang true. By shifting the national conversation toward domestic renewal and questioning the automatic logic of intervention, the Trump administration gave voice to a Middle America that foreign policy elites had long ignored.

His first term didn’t bring about a wholesale dismantlement of the military–industrial complex, but it was a disruption. And in that disruption, there was room for people like me to rethink what service really means. For me, it meant walking away from the abstraction of geopolitics and toward the concreteness of land and life.

One of the most unexpected blessings of this life is that agriculture has allowed me to grow not just a business, but a family. The culture of foreign policy is not just unmoored from American life—it is unmoored from the rhythms that allow family to flourish. The late nights, the overseas trips, the performative ambition: None of it is designed for those who want to raise children and remain tethered to home.

Farming and ranching, by contrast, are profoundly family-friendly. Work and life are integrated, not compartmentalized. My daughter is not an abstract priority—she’s in the corn chopper, on the cut floor, in the pasture, at my side. She is learning where food comes from, how to care for animals, and what it means to contribute to something larger than themselves. In building a home on the land, I’ve also built a home for her—one rooted in purpose, continuity, and faith.

There’s also a political dimension to this life. Building local food systems, preserving working land, protecting heritage breeds—these are acts of cultural conservation. They push back against the technocratic impulse to centralize, standardize, and sterilize. The small farm is a bastion of independence, the kind of place where localism lives and the human scale still matters. It is where subsidiarity isn’t just a theory—it’s how the irrigation gets fixed, how the neighbor’s corn gets planted, how the eggs get delivered down the road.

In Washington, I was told I was “serving my country.” And serving President Donald J. Trump for four years was an honor of a lifetime. But I serve my country far more honestly now—by feeding its people, healing its land, and rejecting the lie that a career in our nation’s capital is the same thing as greatness. National renewal won’t come from another campaign cycle or policy coordination meeting. It will come from families who stay rooted, from food grown close to home, from lives oriented around place.

The agrarian path is not for everyone, but I believe it’s the antidote to the alienation that afflicts so many. We are not meant to spend our lives in cubicles and conference calls, working for abstract causes we can’t name or don’t trust. We are meant to belong—to land, to community, to each other. Agriculture offers that belonging in a way foreign policy never could.

I left the Beltway for the back 40 not because I gave up on America, but because I still believe in it. And I believe that a revival of the American spirit will not come from abroad, but from the soil beneath our feet.

What Pro-Palestinian and Pro-Israel Voices Both Miss

What Pro-Palestinian and Pro-Israel Voices Both Miss

The people of Gaza are not a means to an end.

Credit: anas mohammed/Shutterstock

Those who get their news by way of the corporate media in the West might not be aware of it, but Palestinians in Gaza have risen up in protest against Hamas. And to those who belong to the cynical and shallow political movements of the West, that might come as a shock.

Ihab Hassan, a Palestinian Christian and human rights advocate, put it beautifully this week. He praised people in Gaza for finding “the courage to rise up and protest against Hamas” even while being “under constant bombardment and Israeli airstrikes.” However, as Hassan pointed out, “the protests were overwhelmingly ignored by major pro-Palestine voices, accounts, and media outlets that claim to support Palestinians. The bravest act of defiance—dismissed, simply because it didn’t fit their narrative.”

Worse, Hassan continued, “many didn’t stop at silence.” Self-styled pro-Palestinian voices “went further—smearing these courageous protesters, accusing them of betrayal, and lecturing them that Hamas is ‘resistance.’”

Even compared to Palestinians loyal to Hamas, activists in the West presented “the harshest backlash against anti-Hamas protesters in Gaza,” Hassan noted, condemning “pro-Hamas voices in the West and keyboard warriors, thousands of miles away, sitting comfortably as they preach ‘resistance’ while Palestinians bleed.”

And here’s the key: These onlookers, who “aren’t pro-Palestine” but “pro-Hamas,” are “indifferent—because they’re not the ones paying the price, but Palestinians in Gaza,” Hassan wrote.

That’s right. And of course, it goes without saying that the “other side” in the sick narrative wars being waged by opinion-makers in the West are just as thoughtless of the vulnerable people of Gaza.

Worse than thoughtless—actively hostile. We have mainstream Christian commentators publicly goading Israeli forces to “flatten” and “carpet-bomb” entire civilian cities. Respected public intellectuals calling Arabs in general and Gaza’s population in particular a “people of death,” suggesting they must be terminated in order to save Western civilization. Popular religious leaders spreading bizarre, gnostic claims that Palestinians have the spirit of the ancient Amalekites and so must be treated as eternal enemies.

Or just look at the dehumanizing comments on X from “conservatives” responding to a video from my apostolate, The Vulnerable People Project, in which we join President Donald Trump and Pope Leo XIV in calling for Netanyahu to allow aid into Gaza to save starving women and children.

Many commenters blame Palestinians for the actions of Hamas, justifying collective punishment (or rather, trying to justify it). In fact, only a fraction of Gaza’s current residents voted for Hamas during the last election.

Another fact: The election in question took place some 20 years ago—making the rule of Hamas a bygone conclusion rather than something anyone in Gaza has had any real opportunity to embrace or reject for many years.

Another fact is that some of Hamas’s funding has come thanks to the state of Israel under the leadership of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who saw the terror group’s power in the strip as a chance to keep the Palestinian territories politically divided.

But the main thing missing from the trendy activist narratives and corporate press in the West isn’t just facts like those—or even just reportage of the courage of the Gazans who rose up against Hamas.

No, the main thing missing is a fundamental belief in the dignity and worth of the human beings most directly under threat during Netanyahu’s current campaign of ethnic cleansing in Gaza: the men, women, and children who live there.

However complex a situation might become, this belief in the dignity of the vulnerable, and a consequent commitment to standing in solidarity with them as ends in themselves, is the duty of every one of us who claims to be a Christian and an inheritor of Western values.

We must stop treating the people of Gaza as another “issue”—a “debate” for loud onlookers on either side to use as a means to further their petty causes from a safe distance.

The people of Gaza—and all people, especially when they are under threat and find themselves ignored and unsupported by the powerful—are ends in themselves. And as a Christian, I would add that they are images of God. The God who became man, allowed Himself to be handed over to violence and abandoned by those who should have been loyal to Him, and made clear that He expected us to treat others who face the same ordeal as if they were Himself.

“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me,” says the King of Kings.

And “whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.”

FTC Opens Investigation into Far Left Media Matters and Its Coordinated Attacks on X and Its Advertisers

Elon Musk Security Team – AI by GrokElon Musk Security Team – AI by Grok

The Federal Trade Commission launched an investigation into Media Matters for America, the far left group that targets conservative media outlets and personalities to put them out of business.

Media Matters for America is funded by the top Democrat Megadonors who value their work.

Soros-funded Media Matters and several leftist groups like Sleeping Giants run by Matt Rivitz have been harassing American corporations for years to quit advertising with conservative platforms, websites and businesses. The Gateway Pundit has been a prime target by these leftist groups and government agencies.

The Gateway Pundit Censorship Report: How the US Government, Foreign NGOs, Big Tech and Lawfare Attorneys Tried to Destroy America’s Leading Independent Media Website and How We Survived

In May 2022,  CNN published a hit piece on Elon Musk and Twitter. The article was the far left’s attempt to sway advertisers from posting ads on Twitter.

Elon Musk exposed the culprits behind the coordinated attacks on X’s advertisers – Media Matters. CNN even admitted that Media Matters sent out a threatening letter to Twitter advertisers to quit paying for ads on the platform.

Elon Musk announced in November 2023, that his company X-Corp will be filing a “thermo-nuclear” lawsuit against Media Matters “the second court opens on Monday.”

Elon added that he will sue “Their board, their donors, their network of dark money, all of them…”

In his statement, he released early this morning, Elon accuses Media Matters of creating a fake account that then curated the posts and advertising appearing on the account’s timeline to misinform advertisers about the placement of their posts.

On Thursday, the FTC announced that it would open an investigation into the far-left advocacy group for their.

The US Federal Trade Commission demanded documents from Media Matters about its coordination with other leftist groups to rid X of its advertisers.

This is excellent news. It’s about time this far left group is investigated for its destructive business practices.

UNREAL: Harmeet Dhillon Tells Tucker Carlson That DOJ Employees Held ‘Crying Sessions’ When She Took Over Civil Rights Division (VIDEO)

Harmeet Dhillon, who is now the United States Assistant Attorney General under Trump, and runs the civil rights division, just did an interview with Tucker Carlson that is at times fascinating and outrageous.

Dhillon tells Carlson that the civil rights division of DOJ is famously liberal and that when she made it clear that they were going to adjust the division to align with the Trump presidency, that hundreds of lawyers quit. The ones who stuck around, actually held ‘crying sessions’ to express their unhappiness over the new reality.

It’s like they are a bunch of liberal college students who created a safe space. Just pathetic.

Partial transcript via Real Clear Politics:

TUCKER CARLSON: Just so evil, it makes you think like, maybe we just burn the system down and start again. Thank you. Your assistant attorney general, one of the greatest appointments from my perspective in this administration, running the civil rights division, what was it like when you showed up? What did you find when you got there?

HARMEET DHILLON: Well, Tucker, first, I’ll say thank you for having me here. The Civil Rights Division is the sort of the the the color revolution wing of the Department of Justice, okay? You know, whether it’s a Republican or a Democrat administration, there are career lawyers who are very focused on a particular agenda there. And so when I showed up or when I was when the president was elected, I should say there are over 400 attorneys in the Civil Rights Division. And about 200 staff, so a total of about 600 people…

TUCKER CARLSON: So that’s the definition of the deep state, what you just described. It really is. Elections have no effect. It’s like, there’s no way to control these people. They act totally independently from the democratic system. I mean, that’s, that the problem right there.

HARMEET DHILLON: Well, that’s what I found. And so, you know, in response to my memos, of course, they began leaking to the press. They began having unhappy hours, which they would invite supervisors, political supervisors to, to make their point that they were unhappy. We got the point. And they had crying sessions, struggle sessions, crying sessions in the DOJ.

The whole interview is interesting, but if you want to see the part about the crying sessions, it comes at the 6:00 mark.

What Dhillon is describing here speaks volumes about the kind of people who have been embedded in our government for years. It’s one of the reasons that DOGE was so necessary.

Bosses at ABC News Tell the Hosts of ‘The View’ to Cool it on Heated Politics – Will it Work?

The people in charge of ABC and ABC News have reportedly told the hosts of the The View that they need to cool it on their heated political rhetoric. The bosses apparently realize that alienating half of the country is a bad media strategy.

It’s very easy to forget that The View is not an entertainment show. It falls under the umbrella of ABC News, which is amazing when you consider how often they get things completely wrong. They constantly have to issue on-air corrections.

If you read the story below, you’ll see that some of the hosts are being defiant about this. They don’t want to tone down a thing.

FOX News reports:

Disney boss Bob Iger, ABC exec asked ‘The View’ hosts to cool it on politics: report

Disney CEO Bob Iger and other executives have reportedly asked the co-hosts of “The View” to turn down their heated political rhetoric.

Multiple Disney sources told The Daily Beast that both Iger and ABC News President Almin Karamehmedovic recently suggested that the all-female daytime talk show panel be less antagonistic on political issues, though the recommendation was reportedly not taken too seriously. The co-hosts of “The View” have become known as being some of President Donald Trump’s fiercest media critics since he began his political career.

“This is what our audience wants. Isn’t it gonna look kind of bad if we’re all of a sudden not talking about politics?” one source told the outlet, paraphrasing how the co-hosts replied to the ABC and Disney executives…

The sources described how the show’s hosts pushed back against the suggestion, with Ana Navarro reacting the most forcefully. She told the ABC News head that audiences want the hosts to speak out on political issues.

The sources stated that Navarro and her colleagues found the request “silly” and insisted they were going to “keep doing their thing.”

There’s a very simple reason that Ana Navarro and other hosts on the show wouldn’t want to tone it down and it has nothing to do with the show’s audience. It’s because the hosts enjoy it.

You can tell that they absolutely love getting to air their hatred of Trump and all things Republican every day. They indulge themselves in it every day. It’s satisfying to them. Why would they want to stop?

Republican Governor Kelly Ayotte Signs Bill Banning Sanctuary Cities in the State of New Hampshire

New Hampshire’s Republican Governor Kelly Ayotte has signed a bill that bans so-called ‘sanctuary cities’ in the Granite State, in direct contrast to her neighbors to the south in Massachusetts, and to the east in Maine.

All of New England is fairly liberal, but New Hampshire has a reputation for maybe not being conservative but definitely having a libertarian streak.

Ayotte actually ran on the sentiment embodied in this new law.

NBC News in Boston reported:

House Bill 511 and Senate Bill 62 ban sanctuary cities and support cooperation between state and local law enforcement and federal immigration authorities.

During her campaign for governor last year, Ayotte used a “Don’t Mass it up” slogan to rail against more liberal Massachusetts to the south, including a pledge to ban sanctuary cities, which limit cooperation with federal immigration authorities.

Ayotte’s office put out this press release:

Sanctuary Cities Banned in New Hampshire

Today, Governor Kelly Ayotte signed House Bill 511 and Senate Bill 62 to ban sanctuary cities and support cooperation between state and local law enforcement and federal immigration authorities.

Governor Ayotte released the following statement after signing both bills into law:

“I said from the beginning that we won’t let our state go the way of Massachusetts and their billion-dollar illegal immigrant crisis. Today, we’re delivering on our promise by banning sanctuary cities and supporting law enforcement cooperation with federal immigration authorities. New Hampshire will never be a sanctuary for criminals, and we will keep working every day to remain the safest state in the nation.”

This was a smart move.

Many people speculated that New Hampshire might go red in the November election. They failed to do so, but at least they elected Ayotte.

New Hampshire has absorbed so many transplants from Massachusetts that it may never go red again in a presidential election.

Senate Votes to Overturn California’s Electric Vehicle Mandate in Major Blow to Climate Change Activists

The Senate has voted to overturn the electric vehicle mandate in the state of California. This is going to cause some major anger and anxiety among the climate change activist community.

The EV mandate was one of the last things Joe Biden signed before leaving office. You may recall a last minute push by Biden’s team to advance as much climate change related legislation as they could during his final weeks in office.

The resolution to overturn the mandate passed along party lines with one Democrat senator voting for it as well.

The Washington Free Beacon reported:

Senate Votes To Overturn California’s EV Mandate in Resounding Defeat for Climate Activists

The Senate approved a resolution Thursday that would revoke California’s federal waiver allowing it and several other Democratic-led states to mandate electric vehicle sales, dealing a blow to activists’ efforts to push green energy and fight global warming.

The resolution, introduced by Sen. Shelley Moore Capito (R., W.Va.) in April, passed in a bipartisan 51-44 vote Thursday morning. Just one Democrat, Sen. Elissa Slotkin (Mich.), voted in favor of the resolution alongside every Republican who voted. Five lawmakers were absent from the vote.

“The impact of California’s waiver would have been felt across the country, harming multiple sectors of our economy and costing hundreds of thousands of jobs in the process,” said Capito, who chairs the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee.

The vote is a significant loss for both California, which passed its EV mandate in 2022, and for climate activists who loudly defended the law…

Thursday’s vote is also a win for President Donald Trump and other critics of policies forcing consumers to buy EVs. On the campaign trail, Trump said the “crazed concept of ‘all Electric Cars’” would devastate auto workers and decimate Michigan’s auto industry.

CBS News reports that California is planning to sue over this:

California filing suit over U.S. Senate vote revoking state’s EV mandate and strict emission standards

California is fighting back a day after the U.S. Senate voted to put the brakes on the state’s clean vehicle policies.

Governor Gavin Newsom and Attorney General Rob Bonta issued a statement Thursday saying the state will file a lawsuit after senators voted to revoke California’s emission waivers that set stricter standards than federal regulations. One of the rules, the so-called “EV mandate,” would phase out gasoline-powered cars and require new vehicle sales to be zero-emission by 2035.

Shutting this down was the right thing to do. You can’t force consumers to buy certain kinds of products in this way. The public has to want to do it.

Scott Adams Reveals President Trump Called Him After Terminal Cancer Prognosis — He Accidentally Sent Him to Voicemail! (VIDEO)

Scott Adams

Dilbert creator and famed hypnotist Scott Adams has revealed that President Trump called him twice after his announcement that he is dying from prostate cancer.

Earlier this week, Adams followed Joe Biden’s announcement that he is suffering from prostate cancer that has spread to his bones by confirming that he also shares the same prognosis.

Adams said he is in excruciating pain and is finding the illness “intolerable.”

Doctors do not believe he will live beyond this summer.

Dilbert Creator Scott Adams Announces He Has Aggressive Prostate Cancer That Spread to His Bones (VIDEO)

Speaking during his daily Coffee With Scott Adams podcast, where he analyzes the latest news stories and often cites articles by The Gateway Pundit, Adams revealed that he accidentally left Trump’s call to go to voicemail before realizing that he was being called by the sitting president of the United States.

He explained:

So yesterday I’m home, and I’ve been getting lots of people reaching out because of my recent health-related news. But I can’t talk to everybody. It’s just continual messages coming in, and I have to kind of pace myself. So I see a phone number coming in.

Somebody’s calling me from some number I don’t recognize, something in Florida. And I send it to a voicemail. And a little bit later, I thought, ah, I better check that voicemail and see if that was anything I need to deal with. And the first sentence in the transcription, because, you know, the phone gives you the text version of the voicemail as well.

The first sentence is, this is your favorite president. And I thought to myself, no. Did I just send the most important person in the world a voicemail? And it turns out that I had. It was Trump. And he was just calling to check in. Now, he left a semi-lengthy little voicemail, just to say he was checking on me. He heard about my health situation.

Then he says, you can call me back on this number. Now, obviously, I don’t call him back, right, because that would just be ridiculous. It just was a nice thing for him to say, because he called me. You can call me back on this number. So I didn’t call him back on that number, because I thought I’d, you know, it’s not like he’s sitting at the Resolute desk waiting for my call.

I thought that whatever it is he’s doing, it’s got to be more important than randomly taking a call from me. So I don’t call him back. Hours go by. It’s the afternoon, same day. It’s the afternoon. And all of a sudden, another call comes through, also from Florida. And I thought to myself, no fucking way.

There’s no way he’s calling me again. And I answer it, and it’s Trump. And apparently, he’d heard my situation, and he had lots of questions. I won’t get into the details of our conversation, because that would be inappropriate. But he was just checking on me. And he had, you know, he wanted to make sure that I was getting everything I needed. And that was it, you know.

But at the end, the strangest thing happened at the end. At the end of the call, you know, when he found out, you know, the situation was kind of dire, I was still checking out some things that might help. He said, if you need anything, I’ll make it happen. And he meant it.

He was completely aware of our, let’s say, parallel journeys from 2015. He mentioned it. And it was just the most incredible, weird, hard-to-understand situation. But boy, was it fun. So anyway, that’s my story.

Famous Drummer Dies in San Diego Plane Crash After Posting Photo From Doomed Flight

A famous drummer died in a plane crash in San Diego, California, on Thursday morning after posting photos of himself on the doomed flight.

Multiple people died in the crash.

Daniel Williams, 39, posted photos of the doomed flight to his Instagram account and joked about being the co-pilot.

Williams was the drummer for a Christian band named ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ and left the music industry in 2016 to become a software engineer.

The flight departed New Jersey’s Teterboro Airport on Wednesday night, stopped in Kansas to refuel and crashed in San Diego around 4 am.

The Cessna 550 crashed into homes and cars in a military neighborhood.

The Daily Mail reported:

A famous drummer has died in a private jet crash that killed at least two people hours after he shared a photo of himself at its controls.

Daniel Williams, formerly of hugely-popular Christian metalcore band The Devil Wears Prada, filmed himself boarding the Cessna 550 at Teterboro Airport in New Jersey late Wednesday night.

The drummer, 39, also shared pictures of him at the controls of the small aircraft, said that he was the ‘co-pilot now’. It’s unclear if he was joking.

An eerie final post showed him at the plane’s controls with the caption: ‘Here we gooooo’

The plane, with a tail number of N666DS, took off from Teterboro Airport in on Wednesday at 11.15pm ET, tracking data reveals.

It stopped for fuel in Wichita, Kansas before continuing on to California, where the Cessna ultimately crashed in a quiet military neighborhood in San Diego, close to its intended final destination of Montgomery-Gibbs Executive Airport.

‘The Lord Is Moving’: Former Mocker of Christianity Joe Rogan Is Now Attending a Church

Apologies in advance, but for lack of a more journalistic term, this is pretty neat.

UFC announcer and podcast mogul Joe Rogan — easily one of the most influential people in the world currently — is apparently regularly attending church now.

It’s a bit of a winding tale, but Rogan first started to turn toward the teachings of Christ after a three-hour-plus conversation with Christian apologist Wesley Huff in January.

At the very least, it’s clear a light went off in his head — and sometimes that’s all it takes.

This was notable because Rogan, long a self-professed atheist, has long denigrated and mocked the church.

“Everything is mythology,” he once argued, citing the lack of “evidence” as to why he found religion such a folly.

Fast forward to this Tuesday’s episode of “Know What You Believe with Michael Horton,” and Huff, a guest, revealed that Rogan’s brush with Christian theology had left a lasting impression.

“And have you talked to Joe Rogan since your out-of-the-park conversation with him?” Horton asked Huff.

“Well, my conversation with Rogan went three hours and 15 minutes, so it’s a little bit longer than this conversation,” Huff began. “But yes, Joe Rogan and I have had on-and-off communication since then.

“And I can tell you for a fact that he is attending a church, and that has been a consistent thing, and so things are happening, and he’s a very inquisitive individual, and I think for the better, in that he’s communicating with me and other people in his life who are influences that can speak to into these issues.”

Huff then recounted an anecdote of a brick-and-mortar Christian bookstore telling him that young people — a big part of Rogan’s demographic — have been clamoring to purchase Bibles because “all my friends are reading this thing.”

Huff continued: “If the Bible is becoming popular with teenagers, then something is happening, and the Lord is moving.”

Again, for lack of a better term, that’s pretty cool.

For better or for worse, Joe Rogan has an outsized influence on countless young men in this country.

If he, of all people, could somehow help turn hearts and souls toward Christ, that’s just an objectively wonderful thing.

Yes, merely attending church does not make one Christian, but it’s an undeniably positive sign and a critical first step. And make no mistake, Rogan converting to Christianity would be a massive deal.

You can view the entire conversation on Horton’s show below:

It’s actually kind of crazy how impossible it would’ve been to envision Rogan’s atheist platform spreading the Gospel just a few short years ago, and yet here we are.

As hard as it is to believe, we shouldn’t necessarily be shocked by it.

God has often seen fit to choose the most unexpected individuals for His purposes.

Just look at the role Paul ultimately served in helping write swathes of the New Testament after he had helped persecute the earliest Christians.

Personally, for this writer, he very much believes that Rogan may have turned over a new leaf after all of his anti-Christian rhetoric of the past.

Why?

Because I honestly wasn’t all that different, not that long ago.

Without going into the gory details, I led a pretty Godless life for most of it, before God put my wife and children in my life, completely converting me in the process.

Trust me when I say that if it can happen to me, it can happen to any number of people.

And if it can happen to Joe Rogan on the world’s stage, an even larger number of people can see it happen
