The US Supreme Court on Thursday allowed President Trump to fire labor board members in a 6-3 decision.

Citing Humphrey’s Executor, liberal Justices Kagan, Sotomayor, and Jackson dissented.

“Because the Constitution vests the executive power in the President, see Art. II, §1, cl. 1, he may remove without cause executive officers who exercise that power on his behalf, subject to narrow exceptions recognized by our precedents, see Seila Law LLC v. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, 591 U. S.197, 215−218 (2020),” the Supreme Court’s decision said.

The high court said there would be more harm to President Trump in denying his right to remove the Biden-appointed officials.

“The stay also reflects our judgment that the Government faces greater risk of harm from an order allowing are moved officer to continue exercising the executive power than a wrongfully removed officer faces from being unable to perform her statutory duty,” the Supreme Court said.

President Trump previously fired Cathy Harris, the Democrat chairwoman of the Merit Systems Protection Board, a Biden holdover – she was then rehired by a corrupt Obama judge.

Trump also fired Gwynne Wilcox of the National Labor Relations Board – she was then rehired by a corrupt Obama judge.

In January President Trump fired Biden-appointed Democrat chair of the National Labor Relations Board Gwynne Wilcox and the general counsel of the board.

Trump’s decision to fire pro-union members Gwynne Wilcox and the labor board’s general counsel Jennifer Abruzzo got pushback from the agency and was described as an “unprecedented and illegal” move.

In March, US District Judge Beryl Howell, an Obama appointee, ruled Trump’s firing of Gwynne Wilcox was unlawful.

In a shocking 36-page opinion reviewed by The Gateway Pundit, Judge Beryl Howell compared Trump to a “king” or “dictator” and said the president does not have the authority to terminate members of the National Labor Relations Board.

Judge Howell claimed Wilcox’s job falls under “Humphrey’s Executor.”

The Trump DOJ fought back and the DC Circuit Court of Appeals in March agreed that President Trump indeed has the authority to fire them without cause.

The three-judge panel on the DC Circuit Court: Henderson (George W. Bush appointee), Millett (Obama appointee), and Walker (Trump appointee) sided with President Trump on Friday in a 2-1 vote and ordered the DOJ motions for stay be granted.

However, Wilcox asked the court’s entire slate of judges to weigh in (en banc) and the court voted 7-4 to reinstate her.

The Supreme Court on Thursday sided with President Trump and said he can fire the labor board members without cause.

They found that sales from cancer drugs are becoming an increasingly important part of pharmaceutical companies’ revenue. While the annual revenue generated by cancer drugs increased by 70% from 2010 to 2019, the revenue from non-cancer drugs decreased by 18%. In 2010, 14% of total revenue from these ten companies was from cancer drugs; in 2019, cancer drugs made up one quarter of revenue.

Even worse, there is little correlation between the amount of money charged for these drugs and treatments and health outcomes:

If we were getting vastly improved clinical outcomes for these expensive drugs, they might be worth the price. But in the US, the cost of cancer drugs is not correlated with clinical benefit, according to a study in The Lancet Oncology. And once the price of a drug goes above $100,000, it doesn’t matter how good the drug is — when people can’t afford it, they won’t take it.

It should come as no surprise then, that big pharma and the medical establishment have absolutely no interest in pursuing low-cost treatments.

It appears DEI is still alive and well in the US Secret Service even though there has been a change of guard.

Two female US Secret Service Uniformed Division officers got into a physical fight outside of Barack Obama’s DC residence at 2:30 am on Wednesday.

It is unclear if anyone was injured or disciplined over the fight.

Per RealClearPolitics reporter Susan Crabtree:

Two female Secret Service Uniformed Division officers got into a physical fight outside former President Obama’s D.C. residence while guarding it. The fracas occurred at roughly 2:30 a.m. early Wednesday morning, according to two sources in the Secret Service community.

The lack of professionalism was on display during the fight and in a call one of the women made on a recorded Secret Service line to request a supervisor to come to the scene “immediately before I whoop this girl’s ass.” The woman officer who made the call was upset that her shift replacement was late and assailed her verbally and physically when she finally did arrive to relieve her. Audio of the early a.m. call is now circulating among agents and officers and is attached to this X post.

It’s unclear whether either woman was injured or whether they will be disciplined over the altercation. The fight did not wake anyone in the Obama residence or the surrounding neighborhood, the sources said.

Problems with Secret Service agents fighting and excessively drinking have plagued the agency for years.

Last year a female secret service agent assigned to Kamala Harris got into a physical fight with other agents at Joint Base Andrews.

According to reports, the problem agent, identified as Michelle Herczeg, began acting aggressively, speaking gibberish and shouting incoherently at other agents while they were near the lounge at JBA.

Herczeg reportedly threw menstrual pads at another agent before getting into a brawl a JBA.

RealClearPolitics previously reported that Herczeg grabbed a male agent’s personal cell phone and began deleting apps on it before she completely melted down.

Agent Herczeg had to be physically restrained and her firearm was taken away from her. She was handcuffed and taken to the hospital in an ambulance.

“Herczeg then chest-bumped and shoved her superior, then tackled him and punched him. The agents involved in restraining Herczeg were especially concerned because she still had her gun in the holster. They wrestled her to the ground, took the gun from her, cuffed her, and then removed her from the terminal,” RealClearPolitics reported.

Earlier this year, President Trump announced Sean Curran, one of the agents who surrounded him following the Butler assassination attempt, as the new Secret Service Director.

It was later reported that Sean Curran was expected to clean house on his first day on the job.

“On incoming Secret Service Director Sean Curran’s first day in the new role, 5-10 senior leadership officials, including former Director Ron Rowe, were warned that they would either be fired, moved, or pressed into retirement, according to three sources in the Secret Service community,” RCP reporter Susan Crabtree said earlier this year.

Commentary

In World War II, the U.S. Coast Guard greatly expanded and assumed control of much of the small watercraft fleet that contributed to victory.  Landing after landing in Europe and the Pacific was done by Coast Guard owned, operated, and maintained landing craft and support vessels to enable decisive operational maneuver for Big Navy, Big Army, and Big Marine Corps.

This worked magnificently and the inter-service spirit continued through the Cold War for the most part.  But since the 1990s, the Coast Guard started to evaporate, while the small watercraft mission set was something that Navy, Army, or Marine Corps cared little about, until recently, then started fighting over.

The compelling need for a more robust Coast Guard

For full transparency – my “Jointness” in national security included a detail at Coast Guard Headquarters where I learned to appreciate the incredible contribution of an egregiously underfunded Coast Guard to American national security.

It has been said about the Coast Guard,

“Coasties joked that since they were constantly being asked to do more and more with less and less, eventually someone would ask them to do everything with nothing. Only it never was entirely a joke. Given their prideful, earnestly do-good work ethic, Coasties would try to do everything with nothing before doing what any other Washington agency in their situation would do – fail”

This Coast Guard “can do” spirit continued until it succumbed to wokeness and couldn’t make recruiting and retention goals in even its emaciated, shriveled state.  The once mighty Coast Guard had to lay up dozens of critical vessels because they didn’t have enough Coasties to man – a direct outcome of wokeness and DEI.  President Trump took immediate corrective action and fired the Coast Guard Commandant.

The Coast Guard has been handed around over the years since World War II to the Department of Transportation, then to the Department of Homeland Security, with the understanding that in time of War, they would be re-assigned to the U.S. Navy.  Keeping the Coast Guard in civil Departments was in some ways appropriate – they could maintain a Law Enforcement legal status to respect Posse Comitatus – the long-standing Federal Law keeping the U.S. Military out of the Law Enforcement Role.

The annual budget of the U.S. Coast Guard budget is now just under $14 Billion – or about six Arleigh Burke Destroyers for the Navy.  For that $14 Billion – an undersized, underfunded Coast Guard protects thousands of miles of U.S. borders, coastlines, rivers, and supports worldwide operations – as best it can.  It is time to put the Coast Guard on steroids.

Big Navy, Big Army, and Big Marine Corps ignored smaller watercraft, until it was a crisis

 For decades, Big Navy, Big Army, and Big Marine Corps seemed uninterested in watercraft.  The Marines had none and were focused on Iraq and Afghanistan.  The state of the watercraft in the Navy and Army was poor at best.  The Navy had the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS), which is at the top end of “watercraft”, but equivalent in size to large Coast Guard Cutters.  The Navy never seemed to passionately embrace and utilize the LCS, they just complained and marginalized it for decades until it was a disaster.  In the Navy, the perception was that better promotion opportunities existed for those who aligned with the bigger ship types such as the Arleigh Burke Destroyer. Being assigned to an LCS, Minehunter, Patrol Craft, or Expeditionary Craft was a one-way ticket to Palookaville.

The Army’s deployment of Joint Logistics Over The Shore (JLOTS) ships, craft, and equipment to Gaza in 2024 was an embarrassing part of Army history and revealed the very poor material condition of these platforms as well as a grossly under exercised and dated operational art form.  The Marine Corps awakened to shortfalls and started acquiring an “commercial off the shelf” Landing Ship Medium (LSM) behind the Navy’s back.  When Navy work up, they tried to wrestle the LSM away and then the Navy and Marines partnered for this requirement but have added so many changes to the “commercial off the shelf” LSM that it is unrecognizable, over budget, and behind schedule.

A commonsense solution – consolidate the DoD watercraft mission into a new Department of the Coast Guard

 None of the “Big” Services really wanted the watercraft mission until it became a crisis and then they decided to do the normal Pentagon thing, fight over it and make the programs overly complex and unaffordable.  The answer lies with Coast Guard.  Give the mission set, funding, and authority to the Service with the greatest core expertise.  The Coast Guard has the critical mission to defend the maritime approaches to the homeland, small vessel and watercraft focus, and a solid heritage in this arena.  One might ask – what about Navy Special Warfare Craft?  The answer is that those stay with Navy Special Warfare – away from the clutches of Big Navy that only knows Arleigh Burke, Naval Aviation, Submarines, Big Amphibious vessels, and Carriers.  Allow Big Navy to focus on what it is best at.

After being forced to migrate from Department to Department for years, the commonsense approach is to make the Coast Guard its own Department.  This could be either a totally independent Department, or part of the Department of Defense, but with a Law Enforcement authority dotted line to Department of Homeland Security.  The Department of the Coast Guard would have a civilian, political leader like the Departments of the Army and Navy, and a four-star Commandant who would also be part of the Chairman’s Joint Staff.  Both the Civilian Political and Uniformed Commandant would have a solid line to DOD and a dotted line to DHS.  Then the unwanted LCS, ice breakers, watercraft, landing craft, JLOTS, and certain support vessels (salvage and sea-going tugs) could be consolidated into the Department of the Coast Guard.  The $14 Billion dollar Coast Guard Budget would be more like $40 to $50 Billion for the Department of the Coast Guard – a much more realistic number for a super-sized Coast Guard.

The Israeli Embassy staffers gunned down in Washington, D.C. Thursday night, allegedly by pro-Palestinian activist Elias Rodriguez,30, from Chicago, as they left an American Jewish Committee event at the Capital Jewish Museum have been identified as a couple who were soon to be engaged to be married, 30-year-old Yaron Lischinsky and 26-year-old Sarah Milgrim. (Bongino updates at end of article.)

Yaron Lischinsky was a Christian born in Germany who emigrated to Israel as a teenager; Sarah Milgrim, who was Jewish, was from Kansas, reported NBC News (excerpt):

Lischinsky, 30, had planned to propose to Milgrim, 26, next week in Jerusalem, Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Yechiel Leiter said. Lischinsky had planned to spend the Jewish holiday of Shavuot with his family in Israel, the AJC said in a statement.

Their deaths prompted an outpouring of grief in Israel and in Overland Park, Kansas, where Milgrim was from, according to the AJC.

Milgrim, who was Jewish, “was warm and compassionate, committed to peacebuilding and passionate about sustainability and people-to-people relations,” the AJC said.

A budding diplomat, Milgrim was also “a beloved member of the AJC-Mimouna Michael Sachs Fellowship for Emerging Leaders community, where she joined other American, Israeli, French, and Moroccan leaders focused on advancing relations in the Middle East and North Africa,” according to the AJC.

Lischinsky held a German passport, a German diplomatic source confirmed to NBC News. On his LinkedIn page, he wrote that he was 16 when he emigrated from the German city of Nuremberg to Israel.

Ron Prosor, Israel’s ambassador to Germany, wrote on X that Lischinsky was Christian. The New York Times reported he was the son of a Jewish father and Christian mother.

Tributes have been posted by friends, fellow Embassy officials and others who met them in Washington:

Out of respect for the investigation and the charges being aggressively pursued, we are limited in what we can immediately say, but we want to share as much information with the public as possible as we work through the process and seek justice.

– The FBI is aware of certain writings allegedly authored by the suspect, and we hope to have updates as to the authenticity very soon.

The communist front group Party for Socialism and Liberation distanced itself from the alleged gunman Elias Rodriguez after reports found he was associated with the group’s Chicago chapter in 2017, “We reject any attempt to associate the PSL with the DC shooting. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt had a bit of help during Thursday’s briefing from a surprising news source to help her destroy a ‘reporter’ after the media hack accused Trump of lying about the genocide of white farmers in South Africa.

As The Gateway Pundit’s Jordan Conradson reported, President Trump on Wednesday held a bilateral meeting with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa amid the genocide of White Afrikaner farmers.

During the meeting, Trump played a compilation of Africans calling for the genocide of White Afrikaners after Ramaphosa told reporters that President Trump is wrong about the genocide and needs to “listen” to South Africans.

But far-left NBC News White House Correspondent Yamiche Alcindor cared nothing about the damning facts exposed in the chilling video. She demanded that Leavitt answer why Trump showed a video that “we know is not true.”

In other words, Alcindor was calling the president a liar.

“The president showed a video that he said showed the burial sites of a thousand White South Africans that he says were murdered. We know that is not true…So why did the president choose to show (this video)?” she demanded.

Leavitt, though, came ready and quickly shut down Alcindor’s despicable gaslighting.

“No. It is true that the video…showed white crosses in South Africa about white farmers who have been killed and politically persecuted because of the color of their skin,” Leavitt fired back. “Those crosses (represent) their lives and the fact that they are now dead, and their government did nothing about it.”

“Are you disputing (this)?”

After Alcindor started to accuse Trump of spreading “unsubstantiated” claims and demanded to know what protocols were in place to guard against such claims, Leavitt dropped the hammer on her.

“Yamiche, what’s unsubstantiated about the video?,” Leavitt asked. “The video shows crosses that represent the dead bodies of people who were racially persecuted by their government.”

Leavitt then threw a curveball to solidify her argument and completely bury Alcindor: the far-left Associated Press, which had been banned from some White House events for continuing to use the term “Gulf of Mexico” in their ‘reporting’ after Trump signed an executive order renaming the body of water the of “Gulf of America.”

“In fact, the Associated Press, of all places, has a picture of that very monument, and the caption from the Associated Press is: ‘Each cross marks a white farmer who has been killed in a farm murder,’” Leavitt explained.

“So it is substantiated, not just by that video, and the physical evidence that everybody saw on display in the Oval Office, but also by another outlet in this room, the Associated Press, so you should take it up with them if you believe the claim is unsubstantiated,” she added.

“And that’s a ridiculous line of questioning.”

A federal judge on Thursday blocked the Trump Administration from revoking the legal status of international students nationwide while their legal challenges are going through the court system.

According to the AP, California-based US District Judge Jeffrey White, a George W. Bush appointee, said Trump’s immigration actions “wreaked havoc not only on the lives of Plaintiffs here but on similarly situated F-1 nonimmigrants across the United States and continues do so.”

The judge said students can still be arrested but he blocked immigration authorities from stripping their legal status.

A judge in California blocked the Trump administration Thursday from terminating the legal status of international students nationwide while a court case challenging previous terminations is pending.

The order by U.S. District Judge Jeffrey S. White in Oakland bars the government from arresting or incarcerating the plaintiffs and similarly situated students; from transferring any of them outside the jurisdiction of their residence; from imposing any adverse legal effect on students and from reversing the reinstatement of the legal status until the case is resolved. Students can still be arrested for violent crimes.

Far-left Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) unsurprisingly got embarrassed by a Trump Department of Justice official after pitching a fit over the administration for moving to drop ‘police reform’ agreements with two Democrat-run cities.

As ABC News reported, the DOJ on Wednesday moved to drop police reform agreements that the Biden regime had reached with the cities of Louisville, Kentucky, and Minneapolis, Minnesota. The agreements emerged out of probes launched following the 2020 deaths of Breonna Taylor and George Floyd.

The agreements with Minneapolis and Louisville were intended to address supposed ‘unconstitutional’ policing and ‘civil rights’ violations.

According to ABC News, both agreements had been held up in federal court and faced several delays, thanks to the DOJ asking for various extensions to file documents demanded by the federal judges in each case.

Unsurprisingly, Crockett lost her mind following the Trump Administration’s decision to try to drop the cases.

“The (Biden) DOJ found that police in Louisville and Minneapolis were violating people’s civil rights—so they created a plan to fix it, with rules the departments had to follow,” Crockett whined on X, “Now Trump’s DOJ wants to shut it down… like Breonna Taylor and George Floyd’s lives didn’t mean a damn thing.”

Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Harmeet Dhillon noticed Crockett’s little tirade and decided to set her straight. She stated that Minneapolis and Louisville had already taken steps to reform their police practices, thus making the agreements moot.

Dhillon then closed by reminding Crockett that more government is almost never the answer.

“Congresswoman, educate yourself,” Dhillon wrote. “Minnesota is already under a state consent decree, and Louisville is hiring its own monitor. Both cities have changed their police practices. Dusted and done.”

Newark Mayor Ras Baraka was caught on a hot mic mocking Trump DOJ officials after an unhinged magistrate judge ripped Alina Habba for the arrest of the New Jersey Democrat.

A federal magistrate judge on Wednesday blasted US Attorney Alina Habba for criminally charging Newark Mayor Ras Baraka and then dismissing his charges nearly a week later.

The Mayor of Newark was arrested for criminal trespass earlier this month after storming the Delaney Hall ICE detention facility.

US Attorney Alina Habba on Monday evening announced her office dropped a misdemeanor trespass charge against Newark Mayor Ras Baraka.

The charge against Baraka was related to his riotous activity at the Delaney Hall ICE detention center earlier this month.

“After extensive consideration, we have agreed to dismiss Mayor Baraka’s misdemeanor charge or trespass,” Alina Habba said in a statement posted to X on Monday evening.

“In the spirit of public interest, I have invited the mayor to tour Delaney Hall. The government has nothing to hide at this facility, and I will personally accompany the mayor so he can see that firsthand,” Habba said.

Habba also announced her office charged Democrat Congresswoman LaMonica McIver for assaulting ICE agents.

Judge Andre Espinosa, who previously warned US Attorney Alina Habba against making public statements about Ras Baraka, held a virtual hearing on the matter on Wednesday afternoon.

During the hearing, Judge Espinosa blasted Alina Habba and said the arrest and swift decision to dismiss charges against Ras Baraka “suggests a worrisome misstep.”

The judge scolded prosecutors and said they must “operate with a higher standard…”

Ras Baraka was heard on a hot mic mocking DOJ officials after the judge went on a 5-minute rant: “Jesus, he tore these people a new a**hole. Good grief.”

A Democratic New Jersey mayor was caught making a vulgar comment about a Trump official as the criminal charges against him were dropped.

Newark Mayor Ras Baraka appeared in court on Wednesday, when US Magistrate Judge Andre Espinosa scolded federal prosecutors who had charged him for trespassing at an ICE facility earlier this month.

President Donald Trump’s former personal lawyer Alina Habba, who now serves as the interim US Attorney for the District of New Jersey, claimed at the time that Baraka ‘ignored multiple warnings’ by Homeland Security Investigations to leave.

But the mayor – who is also running for New Jersey governor – has maintained that he was invited to the property to conduct oversight, and last week Habba stunningly announced her office was dropping the charges against him without offering any explanation.

For five full minutes on Wednesday, Espinosa reamed out the US Attorney’s Office for what he said was a ‘hasty’ decision to charge a public official, the New Jersey Globe reports.

Once he was done with his rant, Baraka could be heard on a hot mic, saying: ‘Jesus, he tore these people a new a**hole. Good grief.’
