A gunman opened fire near the Capital Jewish Museum Wednesday evening, killing a young couple who worked as aides in the Israeli embassy. After the shooting, the gunman shouted “free, free Palestine” while being detained by museum security.

The victims were identified as Sarah Milgrim of Prairie Village, Kansas and Yaron Lischinsky, an Israeli student born in Germany. The couple had been planning on travelling to Israel on Sunday so that Miss Milgram could meet Lischinsky’s family. According to the New York Times, Lischinsky had bought an engagement ring and planned to propose to her on the trip. 

The shooter, alleged to be Elias Gonzales, of Chicago, waited outside the museum and approached several people who were leaving the event before opening fire on the two victims. He then attempted to enter the museum where he was apprehended by security forces.

Reacting to the news, President Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social, “These horrible D.C. killings, based obviously on antisemitism, must end, NOW!”

A federal judge on Thursday blocked the Trump administration from dismantling the department of education.

In March, President Trump signed an executive order to dismantle the Department of Education.

“We’ve got to get the federal government out of education,” Trump declared. “The Department of Education has become a bloated bureaucracy that’s more interested in pushing its own agenda than in helping our kids learn. It’s time to put the power back in the hands of parents, teachers, and local communities.”

US District Judge Myong Joun, a Biden appointee, issued an injunction blocking the Trump Administration from laying off Department of Education workers.

“This case arises out of an attempt by Defendants to shut down the Department without Congressional approval,” the judge wrote.

Judge Joun ordered the Trump Administration to reinstate the Department of Education workers.

It is therefore ORDERED, until further order of this Court, that:

1. The Agency Defendants are enjoined from carrying out the reduction-in-force announced on March 11, 2025; from implementing President Trump’s March 20, 2025 Executive Order; and from carrying out the President’s March 21, 2025 Directive to transfer management of federal student loans and special education functions out of the Department;

2. The Agency Defendants are enjoined from implementing, giving effect to, or reinstating the March 11, 2025, the President’s March 20, 2025 Executive Order, or the President’s March 21, 2025 Directive under a different name;

3. The Agency Defendants shall reinstate federal employees whose employment was terminated or otherwise eliminated on or after January 20, 2025, as part of the reduction in-force announced on March 11, 2025 to restore the Department to the status quo such that it is able to carry out its statutory functions;

4. The Agency Defendants shall provide notice of this Order of Preliminary Injunction within 24 hours of entry to all their officers, agents, servants, employees, attorneys, and anyone acting in concert with them;

5. The Agency Defendants shall file a status report with this Court within 72 hours of the entry of this Order, describing all steps the Agency Defendants have taken to comply with this Order, and every week thereafter until the Department is restored to the status quo prior to January 20, 2025; and

6. This Preliminary Injunction shall become effective immediately upon entry by this Court. The Preliminary Injunction Order shall remain in effect for the duration of this litigation and until a merits decision has been issued.

Fox News lawyers fighting off a defamation lawsuit from Smartmatic Voting Systems have been granted access to new ammunition.

Last week, Fox was granted access to materials connected with a 2024 federal bribery indictment concerning company co-founder and president Roger Piñate and other company executives, according to The Wrap.

The Justice Department has alleged that more than $1 million in bribes went from company executives to a Philippine official in an attempt to influence which voting machines were used in the nation’s 2016 elections, according to a Justice Department news release.

Those charged have pleaded not guilty.

Fox claimed that the charges are relevant to its defense because Smartmatic was suffering for reasons other than Fox’s coverage of the 2020 election, according to The Wrap.

“We are pleased with the Court’s ruling that materials about Smartmatic executives’ indictments are ‘plainly relevant’ to its lack of damages. The factual evidence shows that Smartmatic’s business and reputation were badly suffering long before any claims by President Trump’s lawyers on Fox News,” Fox said in a statement.

In a separate filing calling for summary judgment in its favor, Fox argued that Smartmatic’s sales had “cratered” before the 2020 election.

Fox  sought to undercut Smartmatic’s claim that it was damaged by saying that the company’s books show “no profit record to serve as a basis for projecting millions of dollars in future profits.”

Smartmatic fired back against Fox News in a separate filing, according to CNN.

The company alleged in court documents that Fox “orchestrated the destruction of text messages across all levels of their corporate hierarchy … despite a clear duty to preserve evidence.”

Smartmatic claimed Rupert Murdoch and his son Lachlan Murdoch “deleted their texts” in an “extensive and willful” fashion.

Fox said the allegation was a “desperate attempt to distract” from the ruling in Fox’s favor.

“Smartmatic weakly attempts to resurrect stale, baseless discovery issues that actually were disclosed by Fox and resolved two years ago,” a Fox representative said.

“These issues have no bearing on the merits of Smartmatic’s case, which has fallen apart at every turn,” the Fox representative said.

As noted by The Wrap. Smartmatic is seeking $2.7 billion from Fox.

In 2023, Fox News settled a lawsuit from Dominion Voting Systems for $787.5 million, as noted by the Associated Press.

Dominion alleged that Fox’s 2020 coverage of issues concerning its voting systems defamed the company.

For centuries, the Fengyang Drum Tower stood tall over the Chinese Anhui province, working like a sort of clock marking the time of day, and announcing the beginning of official ceremonies.

But the passage of time and a recent renovation have led to a disaster last Monday that very nearly ended in a catastrophe costing human lives.

CNN reported:

“Visitors to a centuries-old tourist site in eastern China were sent scrambling after hundreds of roof tiles came loose and cascaded more than two stories to the ground.”

The Fengyang drum Tower is one of the largest such structures in the whole China.

A major tourist attraction located 200 miles away from Chinese capital of Beijing, Fengyang is famous for being the hometown of Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang, founder of the Ming dynasty.

“But on Monday the quiet around the site was shattered as hundreds of roof tiles began slipping from the roof and crashing to the ground, raising a huge cloud of gray-brown dust.

‘The tile falling lasted for a minute or two’, one eyewitness told Yangcheng Evening News, a state-controlled newspaper.”

The collapse happened after the tower was renovated in 2024.

“’There was no one in the square and no one was injured’, [a local man] told state media outlet The Beijing News. ‘If it happened a little later, there would be many children playing (near the tower) after dinner’.”

Local authorities say there have been no casualties reported.

On the evening of May 19, tiles fell from the Ming Zhongdu Drum Tower in Fengyang County, China.

Built in 1375 during the Ming Dynasty, the tower recently underwent repairs costing over 3.41 million yuan.

George Simion, presidential candidate and vice president of the European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) Party, has filed a formal petition with Romania’s Constitutional Court to annul the May 2025 presidential elections, citing massive foreign interference that he claims compromised the sovereign will of the Romanian people.

Simion asks the Constitutional Court to annul the second round in Romania, as it did with the first, due to outside interference: «I officially request the Constitutional Court to annul the Romanian presidential elections (May 2025). For the same reasons the December elections were annulled: external interference from state and non-state actors,» he wrote in X. He also claims to have evidence of this outside interference.

Simion, who secured the support of more than 5.3 million voters in an extremely tight race, shared an exclusive press release directly with Gateway Hispanic, detailing allegations of electoral manipulation.

In this document, the patriotic leader denounces the intervention of both state and non-state actors—primarily from France and Moldova—in a coordinated effort to manipulate institutions, control media narratives, and impose an electoral outcome that does not reflect the people’s will.

George Simion Calls on the Constitutional Court to Annul Presidential Elections Citing Foreign Interference and Coordinated Manipulation

George Simion, presidential candidate and Vice President of the ECR Party, has officially submitted a formal request to the Constitutional Court of Romania to annul the May 2025 presidential elections, citing foreign interference by both state and non-state actors—now proven through hard evidence.

Simion received the support of over 5.3 million Romanian voters in an extraordinarily tight and highly contested race—a clear sign that the outcome of this election is not just about numbers, but about the legitimacy and integrity of the entire democratic process.

“The very reasons used to annul the December elections—external influence and institutional compromise—are even more clearly present today,” stated Simion. “We now have irrefutable evidence of meddling by France, Moldova, and other actors, in an orchestrated effort to manipulate institutions, direct media narratives, and ultimately impose a result that does not reflect the sovereign will of the Romanian people.”

Simion has urged all Romanian citizens to file individual appeals with the Constitutional Court, contesting the legality of the elections. “We will not surrender. We will not betray. This is not the end—this is the beginning of a great national awakening,” Simion declared.

Simion not only denounces foreign interference, but also highlights the complicity of national institutions, such as the Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which he has urged to immediately investigate the reported irregularities—especially in Moldova, where massive efforts to manipulate the vote allegedly took place.

Moreover, Simion has empowered Romanian citizens by publishing a sample appeal for voters to individually challenge the elections before the Court. This call to action aims to mobilize the population in defense of national sovereignty, according to a message posted on X by the candidate himself.

The context surrounding these elections has been marked by prior controversy. In December 2024, the presidential elections were annulled following accusations of Russian interference on TikTok, although the evidence was contested.

At that time, candidate Călin Georgescu was disqualified, and irregularities were reported such as the inclusion of deceased individuals in electoral rolls and the exclusion of thousands of diaspora voters, according to various posts on X.

In May 2025, after Simion’s first-round victory, a petition was filed to annul the results, but the Constitutional Court validated them days later.

However, the electoral process concluded with the victory of a globalist candidate, during a period marked by manipulation allegations.

In recent years, several countries have faced accusations of electoral manipulation via digital platforms. For instance, in Brazil, the Supreme Court suspended social media platform X in August 2024 after accusing it of spreading disinformation.

This precedent highlights the vulnerability of democratic processes to digital operations.

Simion remains unshakable. In his statement, he asserted that this is not the end, but the beginning of a «great national awakening.»

His message resonates with millions of Romanians who see in him a stronghold against the globalist forces threatening their sovereignty.

George Simion’s fight is the fight of an entire nation refusing to be subjugated by foreign elites and their local puppets.

The evidence presented by Simion, supported by documented irregularities, is a wake-up call that cannot be ignored. Romania does not deserve to be a pawn on the globalist chessboard.

Narayana explained to me that prior to his arrest, he had a job, a car, and was just 13 credits shy of finishing his associate’s degree. He says he was arrested at work for his involvement in J6, and by the time he was released from custody weeks later, everything he owned—his apartment, car, and personal belongings—was gone.

After serving over a year in federal prison, he came home to nothing and no one. He told me he’s now living in a homeless encampment in Baltimore and struggling to survive, relying on food pantries when possible and trying to find work while still dealing with the trauma of everything he’s endured.

In his words, “I’ve been robbed, gone without food or clean water. A man named Norman, who stayed in our tent, passed away just outside it. He was a day away from entering rehab again. It was heartbreaking.”

Narayana hopes Norman’s story won’t be forgotten. He says Norman left behind a 2-year-old daughter and a devastated family.

“I’d like to raise awareness about addiction,” Narayana told me. “If anyone can help his family with funeral expenses or clothing for his daughter, that would be a beautiful way to honor his life.”

He encourages people to support addiction recovery efforts in their own communities and to pray for those still struggling.

He says he has an opportunity to rent a small room for $125 a week and needs a modest amount to cover a deposit, hygiene items, basic clothing, and a laptop so he can return to school. His monthly goal is $500—small compared to what most need to rebuild from total loss, but he’s hoping that many small acts of kindness can help him reach it.

This man isn’t just another statistic in the war on political dissidents—he’s someone who, according to his account, was making an honest life for himself until the regime tore it apart. He claims he was once the youngest A+ certified computer technician in Maryland back in 1997, and says he’s determined to finish his degree despite the obstacles.

In the meantime, he’s sleeping outside, trying to charge his phone at public libraries under renovation, and doing what he can to stay alive and safe.

Like many J6ers, Narayana has experienced firsthand what it’s like to be discarded by a society that once claimed to value justice and due process. He told me his identity documents were seized by a former landlord who allegedly won’t return them unless Narayana agrees to work for him under the table. Without ID, housing, or consistent income, it’s nearly impossible for him to start over.

“This isn’t about handouts—it’s about hope,” he said. “I believe there are good people out there who still care.”

A 24-year-old illegal immigrant from Venezuela was arrested this week after fraudulently enrolling at an Ohio high school by posing as a 16-year-old student — and shockingly, he managed to live with unsuspecting guardians, obtain a driver’s license, play on school sports teams, and infiltrate the school system for months.

Anthony Emmanuel Labrador Sierra, an adult male with an expired visa, was arrested Monday by police in Perrysburg, Ohio after it was revealed he had been masquerading as a minor for nearly five months.

According to law enforcement, Labrador contacted Perrysburg Schools back in November 2023 claiming he was a homeless immigrant and victim of human trafficking, Action News reported.

He produced a Venezuelan birth certificate with a forged birthdate of December 2, 2007 — portraying himself as just 16 years old.

The school district shockingly accepted the documentation with little scrutiny and allowed Labrador to begin attending Perrysburg High School on January 19, 2024.

Not only that — he quickly became involved in extracurricular activities, joining the junior varsity soccer and swim teams.

The story gets even more disturbing.

According to Action News, Labrador was soon placed with a local couple, Kathy and Brad Melfred, who had previously housed exchange students. The well-meaning couple even obtained permanent guardianship over the illegal alien through the Wood County Common Pleas Court Juvenile Division, helped him secure a Social Security number, and assisted in acquiring an Ohio driver’s license — all based on completely fraudulent information.

But on May 14, everything unraveled.

The Melfreds were contacted by a woman named Evelyn Camacho, who stated she was the mother of Labrador’s child — and that Labrador was actually 24 years old, born on March 27, 2001. She backed up her claims by providing a photo of Labrador’s real Venezuelan ID and pictures of them together with their child on Facebook.

Police reached out to U.S. Border Patrol and confirmed that Labrador had indeed overstayed a work visa that expired years ago. His entire enrollment into the school system — and subsequent involvement in legal and educational systems — had been a total sham.

Labrador was arrested while traveling on Interstate 75 and is currently being held on felony forgery charges at the Wood County Jail. His next court date is scheduled for May 29.

Ohio State Rep. Haraz N. Ghanbari (R-Perrysburg) issued a blistering statement slamming the incident as a complete failure of local, state, and federal safeguards.

“Tuesday afternoon, I was informed of the arrest of 24-year-old Anthony Emmanuel Labrador Sierra, who is currently being held at the Wood County Jail on serious felony forgery charges.

Mr. Labrador Sierra has been enrolled at Perrysburg High School since January 2024 under what now appear to be deliberately fraudulent circumstances. He allegedly misrepresented himself as a 16-year-old minor, effectively infiltrating our school system and community. According to reports from Perrysburg Schools, he obtained an Ohio driver’s license and Social Security number, was granted federal Temporary Protected Status (TPS) by U.S. immigration authorities, submitted a completed visa application with assistance from Advocating Opportunities, and was even assigned legal guardianship through the Wood County Juvenile Court.

If these allegations are verified, they reveal a deeply troubling breakdown in safeguards-locally, statewide, and federally. The ability of an adult to embed himself in a public high school, under false pretenses and with apparent access to official documentation and legal support, demands immediate and thorough scrutiny.

Let me be unequivocally clear: the safety and well-being of our students and the wider community is our top priority. I commend those who identified and reported this situation to school officials, and I applaud the swift, decisive actions taken by law enforcement to protect our students.

The Perrysburg School District should continue to cooperate fully with all relevant authorities and support the ongoing investigation in every way possible. Additionally, this requires a careful review of their internal protocols to take every necessary step to ensure our schools remain safe, secure, and worthy of the trust our families place in them.

Furthermore, I am calling upon federal immigration and law enforcement agencies to conduct a full and transparent investigation into how Mr. Labrador Sierra was able to enter the United States, acquire federal and state documentation, and gain access to public education under false pretenses. This case highlights a critical need for enhanced collaboration between local and federal law agencies to prevent similar incidents in the future and to ensure the integrity of our borders and our institutions.”

Democrat Sam Sutton has secured a decisive victory in a special election for New York’s 22nd State Senate District—a seat that overwhelmingly favored Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election.

Sutton triumphed over Republican Nachman Caller with a commanding 67.6% to 32.4% margin, flipping a district where Trump previously garnered 77% of the vote.

The special election, held on May 20, 2025, was necessitated by the resignation of Democrat Simcha Felder, who left the State Senate to join the New York City Council.

Despite the district’s conservative leanings, Sutton’s deep-rooted connections to the Orthodox Jewish community—where he serves as co-leader of the Sephardic Community Federation—played a pivotal role in his victory .

His win not only retains the seat for Democrats but also signals potential vulnerabilities for Republicans in areas previously deemed secure.

The DNC congratulates New York state Senator-elect Sam Sutton on his huge upset victory in the New York Senate District 22 race, in a district that Donald Trump won by 55 points in November. Sutton’s victory, by nearly a 2-1 margin, extends Democrats’ 2025 special election winning streak as we continue to overperform in elections across the country. In blue, purple, and red districts everywhere, Democrats are overperforming and winning.

As Republicans alienate their base with their deeply unpopular agenda, voters are sending a clear message to Republicans that no district is “safe” anymore.

This loss adds to a series of setbacks for the GOP.

In a fiery Senate Environment and Public Works Committee hearing on Wednesday, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Lee Zeldin engaged in a heated exchange with far-left senators over the Trump administration’s proposed 55% budget cut to the EPA and the cancellation of nearly 800 Biden-era environmental grants.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, an EPA advisor was exposed in a Project Veritas undercover video admitting that the agency rushed to allocate billions of taxpayer dollars to climate change initiatives just before President Donald Trump’s inauguration.

Further, the video discussed the EPA’s strategy of using nonprofits as a shield against Republican policies and hints at the potential personal benefits awaiting him post-tenure.

In March, Zeldin announced a fourth round of DOGE cuts, halting over 400 additional grants and saving American taxpayers more than $1.7 billion.

The Senate Environment and Public Works Committee hearing, meant to discuss the EPA’s proposed 2026 budget, devolved into a shouting match that exposed the deep divide between common-sense conservatives and radical Democrat spendthrifts.

Zeldin, a former New York congressman and staunch Trump ally, didn’t hold back when Whitehouse tried to corner him over the cancellation of nearly 800 Biden-era grants, totaling billions in taxpayer dollars.

These grants, pushed by the left as “environmental justice” and “clean energy” initiatives, were riddled with what Zeldin called “waste, fraud, and abuse.”

Sen. Whitehouse demanded to know if Zeldin personally reviewed each grant, citing conflicting court documents from EPA officials.

Because I have to come back here in front of Senator Ricketts today. Even though you don’t care about wasting tax dollars, Senator Ricketts does. I’m going to do my job because the American public cares about us not wasting tax dollars.

The problem with your assertion here today is that it is belied by your own employees’ sworn statements in court, and by the decision of the Department of Justice to admit that what you say isn’t true.

Lee Zeldin:
No, Senator. You’re not grasping the fact that we would have multiple employees looking at these grants. That concept just escapes you, like that’s even a possibility.

Sen. Whitehouse:
The only thing about that is—it’s not true.

Lee Zeldin:
You don’t care about 99% of this story.

Sen. Whitehouse:
That’s not true, according to your own employees’ testimony.
