The dispersed shot-pattern of President Trump’s approval ratings proves he’s still confounding pollsters. For weeks, and especially since Trump’s announcement of sweeping tariffs on what he dubbed Liberation Day, the establishment media’s prevailing narrative has been that the president is plummeting in the polls. However, a closer look at today’s polling reveals a far different story.

There is no avoiding the fact that Donald Trump is a divisive politician. RealClearPolitics’ historical average of his national favorability polling shows his first (7/16/16) favorability reading as 26.3%-61.3%. On Jan. 1, 2017, just days before he took office following his November 2016 upset win, he was still underwater by nearly 4 percentage points. Even around the time of his 2025 inauguration, Trump’s favorability was barely positive at 48.1%-47.9%.

Trump’s popularity has never been a good predictor of his electoral performance or the public’s appraisal of his job performance. But if you listen to the establishment media’s prevailing narrative, Trump’s divisiveness, his second term’s frenetic pace, and especially his tariffs have coincided to catch up to him.

According to RCP’s average of Trump’s national job approval polling, on May 12, the day the administration announced a 90-day ceasefire in the tariff war with China (and before this hiatus could have an impact on his polling numbers), Trump’s differential was 45.8%-50.1% – a net negative-4.3 percentage points.

However, a closer look at the 14 surveys used in the RCP average paints a more complex picture.

The net spread of Trump’s job approval rating ran from a positive-6 percentage points (Rasmussen) to a negative-12 percentage points (NewsNation’s poll by DDHQ). Such a large 18 percentage-point difference merits closer examination.

First, let’s look at the very different results based on poll respondents. Rasmussen Reports sampled “likely voters.” As the label suggests, these are the most motivated voters – those most likely to vote. Only one other (Trafalgar) of the 14 polls sampled likely voters; its net was a positive-2 percentage points.

Therefore, averaging the two likely voter poll results, Trump’s job approval/disapproval rating was 49%-45%, for a 4 percentage-point positive margin. It is also startlingly close to Trump’s 2024 November popular vote total.

The next category of respondents is “registered voters.” As the name implies, these are simply Americans who are registered to vote. Nine of the 14 RCP polls queried registered voters. The spread of these polls went from a tie on Trump’s job approval/disapproval (Quantus Insightsand Emerson) to DDHQ’s minus-12. Averaging the nine polls of registered voters yields a net negative job approval of 4.8 percentage points – virtually a mirror reversal from the likely voter average.

The last category of voters polled is “adults,” simply those old enough to vote. Three of the 14 polls sampled only adults, and their results were all in negative territory: from a minus-5 to a minus-11 percentage points. Averaging these three poll results, Trump’s net job approval is minus-8.7 percentage points – roughly double the average from registered voter polls.

Looking at the quality of the respondents, there is a very clear breakdown from likely voters’ positive appraisal of Trump’s job performance (plus-4 percentage points); to registered voters’ moderately negative appraisal (4.8 percentage points); to adults’ very negative appraisal (8.7 percentage points).

But what of the quality of the pollsters themselves? This too breaks down similarly. ActiVote released a March 25, 2025, “2024 Most Valuable Pollster (MVP) Rankings,” a rating or “‘scorecard’ to indicate which pollsters did well in 2024, and which pollsters did not.”

The breakdown according to pollster performance is strikingly similar to the breakdown by respondent type. With a lower score equating to a better polling performance, the two “likely voter” pollsters had an average ranking of 4.5. The nine “registered voter” pollsters had an average 27.4 ranking. And the three “adult voter” pollsters had a 33.3 ranking.

Not only did Trump poll better with the most motivated respondents, he also did markedly better with the higher-ranked pollsters.

To paraphrase Mark Twain, reports of Trump’s demise in the polls are greatly exaggerated. It isn’t the first time a general overview of polls has gotten him wrong. It likely won’t be the last.  There’s a reason why Trump is able to disregard polls with impunity; and there’s all the more reason we should scrutinize them carefully.

In a world where distrust is the norm among major powers, a two-hour conversation between the leaders of two of the planet’s most powerful nations is no small matter. It signals that, despite differences, there is mutual recognition—something Trump has insisted on since his first term: the U.S. doesn’t beg for respect, it commands it.

Straight Talk: Trump Breaks the Mold of Empty Diplomacy
What many within the establishment view as a flaw—Donald Trump’s blunt and direct style—has, in practice, become a diplomatic advantage. While European leaders hesitate and hide behind empty statements, Trump picks up the phone and speaks openly, without filters, making clear what the U.S. interests are, while also listening carefully, as evidenced by the length of the call with Putin.

In diplomacy, tone and duration mean everything. A call of more than two hours between two heads of state implies a level of depth that goes far beyond surface-level exchanges. This is active diplomacy—the kind that builds alliances, prevents conflict, and strengthens the U.S. on the global chessboard.

Trump as a Global Statesman: Beyond Borders
It’s important to understand that this is not just about public relations. What this conversation demonstrates is that Trump, beyond being a national leader with solid and growing support, also positions himself as a global statesman capable of holding difficult conversations with any world leader.

While Joe Biden was unable to hold a coherent conversation even with his closest allies, and while Kamala Harris never managed to build meaningful international relationships, Trump has consistently shown that real diplomacy is built with strength, clarity, and true leadership—not with speeches crafted by out-of-touch advisers.

It is no small matter that Putin himself—a leader known for being ruthless, calculating, and hard to impress—chose to use words like “very useful” and “candid” to describe a conversation with Trump. This recognition suggests that, despite antagonistic positions, the Russian leader respects Trump as a weighty counterpart. And when leaders of rival nations respect the U.S. president, the U.S. wins.

The reality is simple: respect in international politics is not bought through concessions—it is earned through strength. And Trump understands this. Under his leadership, enemies think twice before acting, and allies know the U.S. will not tolerate ambiguity.

A New Era of Stability and Leadership
For Republican voters and patriotic citizens who have longed for an administration that doesn’t bow to international pressures or to the media complex, this news is a breath of fresh air. The world is watching, and what it sees is a president who not only governs—but leads.

Trump’s return to power has restored hope for a foreign policy grounded in real results, not empty promises. Putin’s words only confirm what millions already knew: with Trump back in the White House, the U.S. doesn’t ask for permission to be great.

Pardoned J6 prisoner Billy Chrestman wakes each morning with a knot in his stomach, the
weight of an uncertain future pressing down on him.
At 51, he’s starting from scratch—his career, home, and reputation obliterated by a
government he once served honorably.

A proud veteran and father, he’s now on the brink of homelessness, scraping by to keep a
roof over his family’s head in a small rented apartment.
Every dollar he earns is swallowed by legal fees in a desperate custody battle to be reunited
with his 10-year-old daughter, a fight weaponized by an ex-wife using his January 6
“terrorist” label to keep them apart.

At least half the country sees Chrestman as a pariah, an “insurrectionist” smeared by
mainstream media, but his crime? Walking through the open doors of the Capitol building
on January 6, 2021, as police officers welcomed him in.
Now, he’s unemployable, shunned by employers that are terrified of backlash for hiring a
“domestic terrorist.”

Without immediate support, Chrestman and his family face eviction, and he may never be
restored custody of his daughter.
“They took everything from me,” Chrestman told the Gateway Pundit in an exclusive
interview, his voice cracking with the strain of holding back tears. “My career, my home, my
possessions. I had to give up my tools last week – the tools I need to work with my hands.
We lost our storage locker, the last bit of what we owned. I’m 51 years old, and I’m starting
over with nothing.”

Chrestman’s ordeal began when he joined thousands in Washington, D.C., to protest what
he believed was a stolen election.
A member of the Proud Boys, he walked into the Capitol through an open door, asking
police officers on video if it was okay to enter.
“They said, ‘Yeah, it’s a public building. Just be respectful,’” Billy recalls.
Inside, he organized others to pick up trash and stopped agitators he suspected were Antifa
infiltrators from causing chaos.

“We were respectful. We chanted ‘Back the Blue’ to the cops. I did no violence, no
vandalism. I thought we were within our rights.”
Yet, the government charged him with serious crimes, including obstruction of an official
proceeding and aiding and abetting, painting him as a dangerous extremist.
Mainstream media amplified the narrative, branding him a “domestic terrorist” and Proud
Boy “insurrectionist.” The label stuck, and the consequences have been catastrophic.
The reality was far different: Chrestman’s actions were nonviolent, his presence in the
Capitol brief and orderly. Still, he was sentenced to 55 months in prison, serving years in
the “D.C. gulag,” where he spent over a year in solitary confinement.

Released after a pardon, Billy returned to a world that no longer welcomed him. His
construction career, built over decades with the sheet metal workers, was gone.
“I’ve applied for dozens of jobs,” he said. “Lost count. As soon as they run a background
check, it’s over. One employer told me straight up he’s scared of the blowback if he hires a
J6er. He said it’s a liability to his family’s livelihood. I get it, but it kills me. I can’t feed my
family.”

The financial ruin started before his arrest. The COVID-19 shutdowns slowed construction
work, leaving Chrestman behind on his mortgage. When unemployment benefits were
delayed by Kansas’s antiquated system, he fell further into debt.

Then, President Biden’s mortgage forbearance promise—later struck down by the Supreme
Court—left him owing eight months of payments at once. The mortgage company refused
to negotiate.
“They wanted 100% or nothing,” Chrestman said. “We were so close to catching up, but
then J6 happened, and I was arrested.”
Three years into his incarceration, his family lost their home, the only one his children had
ever known.

“That was the first time I cried in prison,” he admits. “I had this knot in my stomach,
worrying about my family, and I couldn’t do anything.”
Now, Chrestman’s family teeters on the edge of homelessness again. A fundraiser
organized by a Montana sheriff kept them afloat for six months, covering $1,000 of their
rent each month. But that support can’t last forever.
“We’re so grateful,” Chrestman said, “but nobody can help forever. Without more help,
we’re done. We’ll be on the street.”

The Veterans Administration offers no relief; a “sensitive nine” designation on his records
blocks access to his medical history, stalling his benefits.

“The VA system is notorious for being overly complicated and cumbersome. Veterans rely
on advocacy groups like Disabled American Veterans to help us navigate the VA and stand
up for our rights. But with the security classification of a ‘sensitive nine,’ advocacy groups
are prohibited from accessing my records and therefore can’t assist me in any way.
When the VA denies you, it just wears you down,” he explains. “Without an advocacy group,
you’re screwed. And I can’t even get my records.”

But Chrestman’s greatest anguish isn’t financial, it’s the fight for his daughter.
His daughter’s mother, leveraging his J6 conviction, is blocking his custody rights, arguing
he’s unfit because he went to prison.

Before January 6, they co-parented amicably, splitting custody 50-50. Now he’s fighting to
be in his daughter in court, which around the country have been proving to be weaponized
activist judges.

“My daughter’s begging to spend time with me,” Billy says, his voice breaking. “She has now
been separated from her dad for over four years. I love her to death. The worst punishment
of all this was being away from my kids. I won’t gamble with losing her.”

The custody battle has drained what little money Billy had. He retained a lawyer, but the
thousands of dollars he paid for the retainer are gone, and he needs thousands more to
continue.

“The guardian ad litem was $2,000,” he says. “Counseling, court fees—it’s a couple
hundred here, a couple thousand there. People say custody battles cost about $20,000.
I’ve already spent everything I have fighting to be in my daughter’s life. Now, I’ve run out of
cash and I’ve been without a lawyer for a month.”
Without funds, he risks losing his daughter to a court system that may see him as the
“terrorist” the media portrays.

Billy’s story isn’t just his own—it’s a warning to every American.
“I’m nobody, but I’m anybody,” he says. “I could be your neighbor, your dad. I did nothing
illegal that day, but they took everything. This can happen to you.”
The truth about the attack on Trump supporters on January 6 will come to light, Chrestman
assured, alleging foreign governments and political operatives orchestrated chaos on that
day to entrap Trump supporters.

“We’ve got the receipts—video, text messages,” he claims. “People in the government want
the facts. It’s going to shock people.”
Yet, even among January 6 defendants, trust is scarce.
Chrestman described “grifters” who exploited the cause, raising millions in donations but
distributing only a fraction.“One guy used my story to tug at heartstrings, raised money for my family, but we never saw
it,” he says. “The organizations that sprang up to help J6ers would give $20 to commissary
here and there, but pocket the rest. It’s disgusting.”

Billy’s fight is for more than survival — it’s for his daughter, his dignity, and the truth.
“I just want a fighting chance,” he said. “I served my country, worked hard, bought a home,
raised my kids. Now it’s all gone, and I’m begging for help to keep my family together.”
His voice trembles as he speaks of his daughter. “She deserves her dad. I’m not abusive,
I’m not unfit. Why would you deny her that?”

Without immediate donations, Billy faces eviction. Every dollar counts—$10, $50, $100—
toward rent and legal fees to reunite a father with his child.
His story is a gut-wrenching testament to a system that punishes dissent, breaks families,
and leaves good men with nothing but their resolve.

President Trump destroyed NBC News reporter Peter Alexander, a self-loathing White liberal, on Wednesday during an exchange in the Oval Office about White South African refugees welcomed to the US.

In the first question of the meeting with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, Alexander tried to set Trump up by implying racism.  Alexander asked the President to “explain to America why it’s appropriate to welcome White Afrikaners here” instead of the millions of South Americans and others illegal aliens from around the world, many of whom are violent criminals, that Biden let into the country over the last four years.

“This is a group, NBC, that is truly fake news. They ask a lot of questions in a very pointed way. They’re not questions, they’re statements,” Trump said before answering the question and explaining why he’s taking South African refugees.

Alexander: Mr President, you’ve brought White Afrikaner refugees here. Can you explain to America why it’s appropriate to welcome White Afrikaners here when other refugees like Afghans, Venezuelans, Haitians have all had their protective status revoked?

Trump: This is a group, NBC, that is truly fake news. They ask a lot of questions in a very pointed way. They’re not questions, they’re statements. We’ve had tremendous complaints about Africa, about other countries, too, from people. They say theres a lot of bad things going on in Africa. When you say we don’t take others, all you have to do is take a look at the southern border. We let 20 million people come through our border, totally unchecked, totally unvetter. They came from all over the world. In many cases they’re criminals, they come from prisons, they come from mental institutions, they come from street gangs, they’re drug dealers.

So, don’t say we didn’t take them. We take them, we’re trying to get them out as fast as we can, and we’re doing record business on that. We just won a big case; we’re allowed to send back hundreds of criminals to Venezuela. Just won that today in the Supreme Court, I’m happy to hear. But, we do have– a lot of people are very concerned with regard to South Africa, and that’s really the purpose of the meeting. We will see how that turns out. But we have many people that feel they’re being persecuted, and they’re coming to the United States.

So we take from many locations if we feel there’s persecution or genocide going on. And we have a lot of people. I must tell you, Mr. President, we have had a tremendous amount of people, especially since they’ve seen this. Generally, they’re White farmers, and they’re fleeing South Africa, and it’s a very sad thing to see. But, I hope we can have an explanation of that because I know you don’t want that. And it’s kind of a different meeting. Normally we have meetings, we talk about trade, and we’ll be talking about trade and other things, but that certainly will be a subject that comes up.

President Trump also went off on the NBC reporter after he asked about the Qatari jet. Notably, this question came right after Trump showed the media and the President of South Africa a compilation of Africans calling for the genocide of White Afrikaners in response to a denial of the genocide.

Number one, you don’t have what it takes to be a reporter. You’re not smart enough.

But for you to go into a subject about a jet that was given to the United States Air Force, which was a very nice thing; they also gave $5.1 trillion worth of investment in addition to the jet. You ought to go back to your studio because Brian Roberts and the people that run that place, they ought to be investigated. They are so terrible, the way you run that network, and you’re a disgrace. No more questions from you…

President Trump on Wednesday held a bilateral meeting with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa amid the genocide of White Afrikaner farmers. 

During the meeting, Trump played a compilation of Africans calling for the genocide of White Afrikaners after Ramaphosa told reporters that President Trump is wrong about the genocide and needs to “listen” to South Africans. .

South Africa: Attackers Chant “Kill the Boer, Kill the Farmer” Before Stabbing Woman with Spear

Leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters party, Julius Malema, has infamously led chants and songs calling for White farmers to be murdered. The video that Trump played featured a compilation of Malema, calling to “shoot to kill” and “kill the boer, the farmer,” and others calling for White farmer genocide in South Africa.

The South African Equality Court found that “Kill the Boer” is “not hate speech” in 2022.

Because of this hostility and danger, thousands of White Afrikaners have applied for asylum in the United States, as Black South Africans endanger them and the government steals their land.

Trump also showed reporters the burial sites for over a thousand White farmers who were killed. The South African President feigned ignorance, stating, “I’d like to know where that is because this, I have never seen.”

Ramaphosa: It will take President Trump listening to the voices of South Africans, some of whom are his good friends, like those who are here. When we have talks… it will take President Trump to listen to them. I’m not going to be repeating what I’ve been saying. I would say if there was Afrikaner farmer genocide, I can bet you these three gentlemen would not be here, including my Minister of Agriculture. He would not be with me. So, it’ll take him, President Trump, listening to their stories, to their perspective.

Gary Lineker’s opnions about Gaza war got him in hot water.

Under failing Labour Prime Minister Keir Starmer, the UK is sinking into an authoritarian bog of censorship in which a mother who posts something ‘bad’ about criminal migrants gets a longer prison sentence than pedophiles and rapists.

And being a celebrity does not shield you from the ‘politically correct brigade’, as former football star and BBC sports commenter Gary Lineker found out.

Lineker was cancelled, fired from the BBC and now could face a police investigation over what has been branded ‘an anti-Semitic Instagram post’.

The Telegraph reported:

“Officers from Scotland Yard visited at least one complainant who told them she suffered significant distress over the social media post last week.”

No police investigation has been launched so far, but one ‘offended’ family heard from policemen that a ‘crime reference number’ will be issued.

“A Metropolitan Police statement said: ‘We have received a number of reports from members of the public relating to a post published on social media on Monday, 12 May. The reports will be assessed to determine what further action might be required. There is currently no police investigation into this matter’.”

Lineker deleted the post and claimed to be unaware of the rat emoji and also of its historically offensive symbolism.

“Lineker’s BBC departure was confirmed on Monday after mounting pressure within the corporation over a pro-Palestine video he shared on his Instagram story. Police were contacted last Wednesday specifically about the rat emoji, an icon used by the Nazis as a slur against Jewish people.

Calls to remove him from the BBC grew louder on Thursday when Telegraph Sport published an explosive interview with Lineker in which he went further than ever in his comments about Israel and also criticized his boss at the BBC. It was confirmed at noon on Monday that this Sunday’s Match of the Day will be Lineker’s last BBC outing.”

Lineker apologized for the post twice. He said that he would ‘never consciously repost anything anti-Semitic’ – it goes against everything I stand for”.

In the early hours of Wednesday morning, a quiet street in Hoofddorp, a northern Dutch town near Amsterdam, turned into the scene of a bloody nightmare. A stabbing rampage inside a residential home left two people dead and two police officers injured, in yet another grim reminder of Europe’s increasingly dire security situation.

Emergency services rushed to the scene on Fanny Blankers-Koenlaan just after 6 a.m., responding to a call about a violent altercation. What they found was nothing short of horrific. Blood covered the pavement, and in a disturbing image that’s since gone viral online, a police cruiser was seen smeared in blood—a chilling symbol of how even law enforcement is no longer immune from such chaos.

According to authorities, officers encountered two individuals involved in a brutal confrontation, both of whom were declared dead at the scene. Police confirmed that firearms were discharged during the encounter, and two officers were subsequently hospitalized due to injuries sustained in the incident.

“Around 06:05, the police received a report of a fight in a house… Both people died. The police fired shots during the incident. Two police officers were injured and taken to the hospital for treatment,” authorities said in a statement.

The home in question is reported to be part of a residential complex for individuals with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities.

Details remain scarce, and the identities of the victims and the attacker(s) have yet to be disclosed. It’s unclear whether the perpetrator had any connection to ongoing migration-related issues or mental health failures, but the pattern is familiar.

For now, police have sealed off the area. Forensics teams and black privacy screens surrounded the blood-streaked building, while trauma teams and ambulances lined the narrow street.

Tennessee Rep. Tim Burchett has alleged that staffers in Joe Biden’s administration engaged in a “cash for clemency” scheme, using an autopen to issue pardons in exchange for financial payoffs.

An autopen is a device that mechanically reproduces signatures.

On Tuesday, Rep. Burchett appeared on “The Benny Johnson Show” and stated, “You are gonna find staffers that were able to take forms, get them and run them through some sort of bogus legal system, then they auto-penned them.”

Burchett said he believes there was a pay-for-pardon scheme happening, and pointed to a historical scandal involving former Tennessee Governor Ray Blanton, who was implicated in selling pardons in the 1970s.

“Tennessee has had a history of this; we had a governor … he sold pardons,” Burchett said. “You can look it up. His name is Ray Blanton. It made national news.”

“And there’s people out on the street that shouldn’t be, but somebody got rich off that. And I think those people — I hate to say it, but you’ll see something probably horrible happen to some of those people because it goes up the chain. This is a very dangerous town to play games in.”

Burchett speculated that staffers, potentially earning modest salaries, could have been offered up to “a quarter of a mil” to facilitate these pardons.

“I have no direct proof of that, but I’m just talking about history. You’ve got somebody making $100,000 a year, and somebody offers you a quarter of a mil in some safety deposit box … yeah,” the congressman said.

In March, President Donald Trump claimed that Biden’s pardons, particularly those issued to members of the House January 6 committee, were “void” because they were signed with an autopen instead of by hand.

During his final days in office, Biden issued a slew of controversial pardons, including Dr. Anthony Fauci, retired Gen. Mark Milley, members of the January 6 committee, and his son, Hunter Biden.

It has been widely speculated that some staffers may have acted without Biden’s authorization, potentially exploiting his alleged mental decline to issue pardons for profit.

Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has reintroduced her landmark legislation, the Protect Children’s Innocence Act which would criminalize genital mutilation, chemical castration, and all sex-change procedures performed on children.

The legislation aims to criminalize genital mutilation and chemical castration of minor children by making it a felony to provide puberty blockers, hormones, or surgical sex change operations for minors. Those who violate the law could be subject to a federal prison sentence of 10 years or a significant fine.

Specifically, the legislation:

Criminalizes any attempt to perform or facilitate genital or bodily mutilation or chemical castration on a minor, with up to 10 years in federal prison and/or a significant fine.
Bans all puberty blockers and cross-sex hormone treatments for children.
Provides no exemption for mental health disorders as justification for these procedures.
Defines “chemical castration” and “genital or bodily mutilation” with detailed legal clarity.
Exempts children born with certain rare genetic conditions, or who are experiencing medical emergencies as certified by a physician.

The bill was previously introduced in the Senate by Vice President JD Vance.

“The Protect Children’s Innocence Act strengthens and codifies President Donald J. Trump’s executive order banning gender transition procedures for minors,” Greene’s office said in a press release. “Together, this legislation and the President’s action send a clear message: the federal government will no longer tolerate the abuse and exploitation of children by the radical gender ideology of the Left.”

Greene first introduced the bill in 2022.

“Left-wing activists and medical institutions are targeting America’s children with dangerous drugs, disfiguring surgeries, and permanent sterilization,” said Greene. “My bill stops the mutilation of kids and holds those responsible for performing or facilitating these barbaric procedures accountable.”

Organizations supporting the bill include American Principles Project, Citizens for Renewing America, CPAC, Gays Against Groomers, Independent Women, and Moms for Liberty.
