Tucker Carlson denied taking “one dollar” from Qatar, speaking to Megyn Kelly on April 29

After Donald Trump’s successful visit to the Gulf States last week questions have arisen concerning the influence of the Islamist Emirate on the Trump administration and conservative influencers, including the gift of a $400 million 747 from Qatar.

The Washington Examiner now reported that Qatar paid lobbyists to arrange pro-Qatar coverage by host Tucker Carlson.

Last week, reporters Frannie Block and Jay Solomon issued a long report on Qatari influence operations in the United States on Bari Weiss’ The Free Press, revealing the Gulf Emirate has spent almost $100 billion to establish its influence in Congress, universities, newsrooms, think tanks, and US corporations. President Trump’s chief of staff Susie Wiles, Justice Secretary Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel have worked for Qatar lobbyists, The Free Press reported. Trump buddy and Mideast negotiator Steve Witkoff received $623 million from Qatar’s sovereign wealth fund to bail out a failed investment in New York’s Park Lane Hotel, as The Gateway Pundit reported in January.

Qatar is not just any energy-rich Gulf State with more money than is good for it – it is one of the main operating bases of the Muslim Brotherhood and its Gaza arm Hamas. Muslim Brotherhood thought leader Yusuf al Qaradawi preached from the Al Wahhab mosque in Doha, home of the radical Islamist Wahhabi movement, which inspired every radical Islamist terror group from Hamas and Hezbollah to Al Qaeda and ISIS. Al Qaradawi was buried there in 2022. Qatar gave at least $1.8 billion to Hamas since 2007 and hosted the top Hamas leadership in luxury hotels for years, who were also billionaires. Qatar funded the Al Jazeera TV network with at least $2 billion, which employed at least 6 Hamas terrorists and has been banned in Israel, Egypt and the Gulf States as a Hamas front.

According to the Free Press report, Qatar has spent $225 million on lobbying and public-relations efforts in DC since 2017. “The U.S. government found that in 2021 alone, Qatar employed 35 registered lobbyists and public-relations firms at a total cost of more than $51 million,” Block and Solomon wrote, three times as much as Israel spends.

Up until the Trump election Nov. 5, only 10% of Qatar’s lobbying money went to conservative outlets or commenters, according to a Washington Examiner review of Department of Justice records. After the Trump victory, Qatar stepped up its MAGA lobbying to 50% or more.

In 2022, Qatar’s Al Thani family gave $50 million to the conservative news site Newsmax, Free Press reported. “Newsmax’s founder encouraged staff to soften their coverage of Qatar.” Qatar also funded conservative radio host John Fredericks’ company, Common Sense Media Holdings, with at least $180,000 2017-2019, the Free Press reports. Fredericks was Virginia vice chairman of Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign and active in the 2020 campaign.

Qatar also has ties to South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham, mainly through Qatar Airways’ purchase of 40 Boeing aircraft, “including 787 Dreamliners made near Charleston that were part of an $11.7 billion order in 2016. Qatari-owned military technology company Barzan Aeronautical then announced plans to build spy drones at a new facility nearby,” Free Press reported.

On the weekend, the Washington Examiner revealed that Qatar allegedly funded an interview by popular conservative podcaster Tucker Carlson with Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani in March. According to the Examiner, the Qatari Embassy paid lobbyists Lumen8 Advisors $180,000 per month “to provide media and communication coaching and consulting services”, which allegedly included facilitating the Al Thani interview.

Tucker Carlson had categorically denied accepting money from Qatar in an interview with Megy Kelly April 29.

Critics had suspected Carlson of accepting Qatari money ever since ZeroHedge revealed he had received $15 million from Iranian-Pakistani backer Omeed Malik in 2024.

But Tucker denies the allegations.

Since the inauguartion of the second Trump administration, Carlson became one of the most vocal critics of Israel in the top echelons of Trumpworld, and hosted pro-Qatar negotiatior Steve Witkoff, who called the Qataris “good, decent people” who “want to be acknowledged as a peacemaker.”

“In the past, they’ve had some views that are a little bit more radical … from an Islamist standpoint than they are today, but it’s moderated quite a bit,” Witkoff told Tucker Carlson.

Conservative outlets like Fox News Digital, Just The News, the New York Post, the Daily Mail, and the Washington Examiner were all “targeted to varying degrees by Qatari foreign agents in the months following Trump’s election,” the Free Press reported.

While a great deal of violence and criminal behavior has been shown to jurors in the Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs trial, his defense still tries to paint him as a ‘bipolar swinger’ who may at most have committed ‘Domestic Violence’ – a crime for which he has NOT been indicted.

In this sense, yesterday (20) a former personal assistant to the rapper may have moved the needle by talking about his former boss’ ‘use of guns, lie detector tests and drugs’ as a modus operandi of a criminal organization.

Associated Press reported:

“David James’ testimony came in the second week of a trial in Manhattan federal court that is scheduled to last up to two months. If convicted of the charges he faces, including racketeering, the Bad Boy Records founder could be sentenced to at least 15 years in prison.”

Prosecutors intend to call several former Combs employees, trying to prove that Diddy ‘used threats and violence to control employees and associates and commit crimes.’

“James, a personal assistant for Combs from 2007 to 2009, testified about a job that seemed to come with increasing perils until he realized his life was in danger and quit, with notice, after he was forced to drive a car in which an angry Combs sat in the back seat with three handguns on his lap.”

James also said it was his job to stock ‘freak-off’ rooms with fresh underwear, an iPod, apple sauce, vodka, baby oil, Viagra and condoms.

“Another time, he said Combs summoned him to his office to show him video he’d recorded at a party of James dancing wildly and told him: ‘Ok. I’m going to keep this footage in case I ever need It’. James said he took it as a threat to keep him in line.”

This could reinforce Cassie’s testimony that Diddy threatened to release videos of her having sex with male escorts ‘if she didn’t do as he said’.

The former assistant took lie detector tests twice when Diddy and his crew were trying to find out who stole cash or a watch.

Diddy was on drugs nearly every day, he told the jury, taking Percocet by day, ecstasy by night, and pills looking like then-President Barack Obama.

James testified that he was terrified to be involved in Diddy’s attempt to confront rapper Suge Knight — another incident also mentioned by Cassie.

“James told jurors that Combs then ordered him to drive them — Combs and the bodyguard known as D-Roc — to the diner. James said he looked back at one point and saw Combs in the backseat with three handguns on his lap.

[…] ‘I was real shook up by it’, James testified. ‘This was the first time being Mr. Combs’ assistant that I realized my life was in danger’.”

A wicked Obama judge is so determined to force the Trump Administration to keep the worst possible illegal aliens in America that he is willing to criminally sanction officials who violate his outrageous order. And Team Trump is rightfully furious.

As The New York Times reported, U.S District Court Judge Brian Murphy, an Obama appointee, ordered Trump administration officials to maintain custody of illegal aliens on a deportation flight that the invaders’ lawyers said was headed to South Sudan. Murphy claimed the move likely violated an injunction he issued in April.

“Based on what I have been told,” he said, “This seems like it may be contempt.”

While Murphy stated he would not order the plane to “turn around,” he said any aliens in DHS custody can’t leave U.S. control once the plane landed until he holds a hearing on Wednesday to determine whether the illegals had received enough ‘due process’ for his liking.

Murphy also noted that he warned that officials involved in the deportations who were aware of his order could face criminal sanctions, including the pilots. In other words, he is THREATENING to turn Trump officials into criminals for daring to remove the worst scum on earth from America.

Murphy has a history of siding with vicious lawbreakers. As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, Murphy late last month barred the Department of Homeland Security from transferring illegal aliens to other agencies like the Department of Defense after four Venezuelan gang members were flown from Gitmo to El Salvador.

Major General James Monday Enoka told The Associated Press on Wednesday that they had not received any illegals but said they would be “re-deported” if found not to be South Sudanese.

During a press conference on Wednesday, DHS spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin confirmed that these eight illegals were deported from America, though she did not confirm they were headed to South Sudan. She also had some deservedly harsh words for Murphy as well.

“A local judge in Massachusetts is trying to force the United States to bring back the uniquely barbaric monsters who present a clear and present threat to the safety of the American people and the victims,” McLaughlin said. “While we are fully compliant with the law and court orders, it is absolutely absurd for a district judge to try to dictate the foreign policy and national security of the United States of America.”

“The contrast is brutally stark,” she added. “President Trump and Secretary Noem are working every single day to get these vicious criminals off of American streets. And while activist judges are on the other side, fighting to get them back onto United States soil.

Trump’s post of the Springsteen video is a play on a classic meme of him hitting a tee shot and the ball knocking Hillary Clinton, and later Joe Biden, down. This one uses a real video of Springsteen tripping and falling on stage during a concert in Amsterdam in 2023. The video was created by “resistthedonkey.”

Previously, Trump hit back at Springsteen for trashing him in his concert speeches in a post on Truth Social and a second post calling for an investigation into whether Democrat presidential nominee Kamala Harris violated campaign finance rules by paying for endorsements by Springsteen and other celebrities last year.

Overnight, Springsteen released a four-song EP on streaming services worldwide containing his anti-Trump speeches from his opening night concert with the E Street Band last week at the Co-Op Live arena in Manchester.

Jennifer Palmieri, a senior Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton operative, posted last Saturday that she was in attendance for Springsteen’s second show in Manchester, lending the appearance that Springsteen is coordinating with his good friend Obama and the Democratic Party to sabotage President Trump’s efforts to bring peace to Europe and the Middle East, rebalance trade agreements, secure America’s borders, reform government and bring good paying jobs to the blue collar workers Springsteen claims to sing for.

Springsteen is scheduled to tour Europe now through July 3rd with shows (in order) in France, England, Germany, Czech Republic, Germany, Spain, Germany and ending with shows in Italy–with the finale taking place on July 3rd.

No U.S. shows have been announced, but with Springsteen having gone overseas to declare war on President Trump and his MAGA supporters, it would be cowardly of him not to play U.S. shows this summer or fall.

What began as a routine workout ended in terror when a gunman stormed a Las Vegas Athletic Club on Friday. The attacker, 34-year-old Daniel Ortega, entered with a rifle and enough ammunition for mass murder—but a critical weapon malfunction likely saved dozens of lives before he was taken into custody.

Targeted Killing Leaves Community in Shock

Ortega, a member of the gym, arrived armed with a rifle and extra magazines. After pacing inside the facility, he engaged briefly with longtime gym employee Edgar Quinonez before opening fire. Quinonez, 31, who had worked there for 15 years, was shot and killed in the attack.

After killing Quinonez, Ortega fired 24 rounds, wounding three more individuals as he chased employees further inside the gym. Police say one of the victims remains in critical condition. What made Ortega choose this specific location remains unknown—investigators say there’s no confirmed personal link between the shooter and his victim.

Daniel Ortega went into the LVAC gym in Las Vegas armed with a rifle, fired 24 rounds, killing 1 and injuring several more.

Police Respond Swiftly, Shooter Killed on Scene

Las Vegas Metro Police arrived within minutes of the 911 calls. Ortega was confronted outside the gym, where three officers fired six shots, taking him down. He later died from his injuries at a nearby hospital.

Assistant Sheriff Jamie Prosser emphasized that a mechanical failure in Ortega’s rifle may have saved lives. “This gentleman had a malfunction in his weapon, which actually saved this from being a mass casualty event,” Prosser explained during a press briefing.

Ortega was found with additional loaded magazines, raising fears he intended to continue the assault if not stopped.

Ortega’s Past and Ongoing Investigation

Authorities say Ortega had a prior record, including a DUI and a 2013 drug trafficking charge—yet those cases ended in community service and dismissals. How he obtained the firearm remains under investigation.

The Las Vegas community now mourns the loss of a respected gym employee and asks why such a tragedy occurred. Police are combing through surveillance footage and witness accounts, seeking answers and clarity on Ortega’s motive. For now, the question of why this gym, and why this victim, remains unanswered.

What’s clear: if not for a weapon jam and a rapid police response, this could have been much worse.

That’s a wrap, folks! It’s official: We are dealing with neither their best nor their brightest.

As has been the endlessly exhausting case since he first walked down that gilded escalator at Trump Tower in 2015 and announced himself as a presidential candidate, President Donald Trump is no stranger to insults, critiques, and barely coherent jabs from the left.

If it’s a day that ends in “y,” you can rest assured that some leftist has taken some deranged shot at the president.

That was no different Monday, when a liberal cabal of parasites gathered at a Cannes Film Festival conference, where renowned director Wes Anderson was there to discuss his new film, “The Phoenician Scheme” — or, so we were told.

Who knew we would instead be turning into a more brain-dead version of “The Daily Show“?

Anderson took time out of his conference to give his hyper-critical take on Trump’s (highly effective) tariff policies, and lo and behold it turns out that insults work much better when you actually know what you’re talking about.

The director was asked about Trump’s tariff policies — which can have a clear and tangible impact on the film industry — and Anderson fed right into what the bleating sheep at the conference wanted with his mocking response.

Too bad it made him look like a buffoon.

“The tariff is fascinating because the 100 percent tariff, I’ve never heard of a 100 percent tariff before,” Anderson began, stating the painfully obvious.

“I’m not an expert in that area of economics, but I feel that means, he’s saying he’s going to take all the money, and then what do we what do we get?” he continued. “So it’s complicated to me. … Like, can you hold up the movie in customs? It doesn’t ship that way.

“So I just don’t know. I’m not sure.”

Well, yeah, that was a given, Wes.

This writer readily subscribes to the maxim, “I’m a genius because I know I’m not one,” and Mr. Anderson should heed similar advice.

If you’re going to take a stab at something — anything — you should really know what it is you speak of. And I’m not talking about being an encyclopedic trove of information on the subject.

We’re just talking the bare minimum.

Anderson seems to be under some bizarre assumption that tariffs imply that the government will take some portion of the proceeds from selling a product.

A tariff — to give it a far-too-simple definition — is more akin to a tax placed on top of the good itself.

Anderson seems perplexed by the 100 percent figure, but it should be basic common sense given some of the outlandish numbers we’ve seen since Trump begat “Liberation Day” tariffs to help balance world trade deficits.

China had well over 100 percent tariffs on our goods, why wasn’t Anderson worried about that government taking all the box office proceeds for the Chinese launch of “The Phoenician Scheme”?

It’s all just pandering nonsense, and Anderson would do well to take notes from a fellow titan of the industry, star actor Tom Cruise.

When Cruise was recently badgered by a similar question in South Korea, the actor politely asked to keep the conversation about the movie itself.

It was an expert demonstration of how to handle a baiting media and not alienate half of your potential viewing audience in America.

In other words, it was the exact opposite of what Wes Anderson did Monday.

‘Cry-bully’ Taylor Lorenz is back doing what she loves so much: bashing feeble former President Joe Biden.

It doesn’t matter that he has advanced-stage, aggressive prostate cancer – she was still celebratory, writing that ‘Hopefully he rots in hell and rests in piss’.

The former Washington Post and New York Times hack likes to ‘doxx’ conservatives, she loves the Palestinian cause, hates Israel and Joe Biden, among many other peeves.

“Along with her vile social media post, Lorenz added a screenshot of a satirical 2019 Vice article bearing the headline: ‘Joe Biden: It Would Be an Insult to My Dead Son for Everyone to Have Healthcare’.”

In fact, Biden never said the phrase used in the headline, and the NYT piece ‘is based on a satirical misrepresentation’.

To the Post reporters, she doubled down on her lack of compassion for the former president.

“’Joe Biden is a war criminal who personally sanctioned the genocide of tens of thousands of innocent Palestinians, including countless cancer patients’, Lorenz ranted on Tuesday.”

Lorenz has been widely criticized lately for celebrating the assassination of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.

“She said some Americans felt ‘joy’ about the murder outside a Midtown Manhattan hotel. She later defended the remark by citing the denial of care by large insurance companies and her own experiences with chronic illness.

National test scores show that if the Catholic school system were a state, it would rank number one in the nation. In contrast, the U.S. public school system, managed by the Department of Education, now ranks only 18th in the world. America used rank close to the best in the world.

In March, President Trump issued an executive order to begin closing the U.S. Department of Education, aiming to return control over education to states, parents, and local communities. The order rightly frames the Department as costly, ineffective, and unaccountable, pointing to decades of poor student performance as evidence of the failure of federal oversight.

Created in 1979 under pressure from teachers’ unions, the Department has overseen ballooning education budgets, over $200 billion during the COVID era alone, while national test scores have stagnated. According to the most recent National Assessment of Educational Progress, 70% of 8th graders are below proficiency in reading, and 72% in math.

Additionally, the order mandates that federal education funds comply with new restrictions, prohibiting support for initiatives tied to “diversity, equity, and inclusion” or gender ideology.

The Secretary of Education is tasked with overseeing the Department’s shutdown while maintaining essential services. The administration argues that eliminating the Department will improve educational outcomes by decentralizing authority and cutting bureaucratic waste.

More than four years after the COVID-19 lockdowns and school closures, which continued under the Biden administration, American public-school students have still not recovered academically. By contrast, Catholic schools, which have historically outperformed public schools, pulled even further ahead by reopening as early as 2020. Meanwhile, public schools in many areas remained closed or operated on disrupted schedules for up to two additional years, widening the academic gap. A 2024 report by the Center on Reinventing Public Education (CRPE) found that students remain less than halfway to full academic recovery. Math proficiency among 4th graders dropped from 69% in 2019 to 56% in 2023. Reading scores declined as well, particularly in early grades, with little sign of improvement. Schools also continue to report widespread behavioral and attention issues, especially among younger children, including rising aggression and developmental delays.

A 2023-24 study by NWEA found that rather than improving, the gap between pre- and post-COVID scores widened by 36% in reading and 18% in math. Chronic absenteeism surged to 26% in 2022–23, up from 13% in 2019–20. Efforts to reanalyze state test gains revealed that perceived reading improvement may have been due to test changes, not real academic gains. Experts warn that the long-term consequences could define a generation.

According to data from the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA), Catholic school students consistently outperform their public school peers. In 8th grade reading, only 9% of Catholic students scored below basic, compared to 25% in public schools. Nearly half—48%—were proficient or above, including 8% at the advanced level, twice the rate of public school students. Similar trends are seen across subjects.

In 4th grade math, Catholic students scored 245 versus 239 for public school students, with fewer falling below basic (13% vs. 21%) and more achieving proficiency. In 4th grade reading, Catholic students averaged 235 compared to 221 in public schools, with higher proficiency rates (37% vs. 27%) and fewer at the lowest level (18% vs. 33%). Catholic high schools also report nearly 100% graduation rates and 85% college attendance, figures that far exceed national public-school averages.

These results show that Catholic schools deliver better outcomes at a fraction of the cost, challenging the assumption that bigger federal budgets through the Department of Education are necessary to ensure educational quality. Public schools spend about $20,000 per student annually, while Catholic elementary schools average just $4,340 in tuition, and high schools $9,090, less than half the cost of public or other private schools. Though no longer staffed primarily by religious personnel, Catholic schools remain affordable through a mix of tuition (57%), parish support (22%), and fundraising.

Democrats often object to Catholic schools because of their religious foundation, associating Christianity, wrongly in many liberal circles, with white nationalism. With DEI programs now removed from the federal education system, critics claim Christian schools will become racially exclusive. In reality, Catholic schools are deeply inclusive, reflecting the Church’s teachings and its long history as an immigrant institution.

Catholic schools welcome students of all backgrounds without quotas, admitting families as they come. As a result, their student population is highly diverse: 21% are racial minorities, 18.6% Hispanic, and 20% of students come from other faiths. These schools operate on a parent-choice model, families voluntarily enroll and are embraced as full partners in their children’s education.

Catholic schools also provide a safe haven for marginalized students, including LGBTQ youth who have faced bullying in public schools. Research backs this up: a meta-analysis of over 13,000 studies found that religious private schools are strongly associated with greater civic engagement and higher levels of political tolerance.

Unlike public schools, Catholic schools are highly decentralized, typically run at the parish level. They are flexible, responsive, and often provide need-based scholarships, making tuition affordable for many. Free from union control and political disruption, Catholic and other private schools are not subject to strikes, walkouts, or protests, allowing them to focus fully on student success.

The point of this article isn’t that everyone should attend Catholic school, but rather that private education, especially religious-based schools, can deliver far better outcomes than public schools at a fraction of the cost. President Trump’s move to dismantle the Department of Education aims to return control of education to states and local communities, something private and religious schools already do effectively.

Catholic schools prove that a centralized federal bureaucracy and billion-dollar budgets aren’t necessary to provide quality education. Without teachers’ unions, DEI mandates, or political agendas, and with educators truly dedicated to helping students learn, these schools show what’s possible: better results, stronger communities, and real accountability, without Washington in the way.

Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-VA) died this morning, his family announced in a press release. He was 75 years old.

His family released the following statement announcing his passing:

It is with immense sadness that we share that our devoted and loving father, husband, brother, friend, and public servant, Congressman Gerald E. Connolly, passed away peacefully at his home this morning surrounded by family

“Gerry lived his life to give back to others and make our community better. He looked out for the disadvantaged and voiceless. He always stood up for what is right and just. He was a skilled statesman on the international stage, an accomplished legislator in Congress, a visionary executive on the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, a fierce defender of democracy, an environmental champion, and a mentor to so many.

But more important than his accomplishments in elected office, Gerry lived by the ethos of ‘bloom where you are planted. From the Silver Line to the Oakton Library, Mosaic District to the Cross County Trail and beyond, his legacy now colors our region.

We were fortunate to share Gerry with Northern Virginia for nearly 40 years because that was his joy, his purpose, and his passion. His absence will leave a hole in our hearts, but we are proud that his life’s work will endure for future generations. We thank you for your love of Gerry, and know he loved you all so much.

As Fox News reported , Connolly had been diagnosed with esophageal cancer more than six months ago. He had previously served as the top Democrat on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform until last month, when he said he would step down because his cancer had returned, as CNBC notes.

He beat out Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) for the leadership position back in December, despite being diagnosed with cancer.

Connolly was first elected to Congress in 2008 as the representative for Virginia’s 11th congressional district, which comprises most of Fairfax County and Fairfax City.

He regularly advocated for a large federal government, in no small part due to the district’s massive federal worker population.
