The US Supreme Court granted an emergency application restoring a Republican Maine State Rep’s voting privileges in the House after they were taken away over a social media post criticizing a transgender (bio male) high school athlete who participated in a girls pole vault competition and won.

Recall that the Maine House Speaker censured Rep. Laurel Libby, stripped her voting rights and demanded she apologize for her social media post.

Rep. Libby refused to apologize and took the fight all the way up to the US Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday in a 7-2 decision granted Rep. Libby an emergency application and restored her voting rights pending disposition of the First Circuit Court of Appeals.

Liberal Justice Jackson dissented and Justice Sotomayor would have denied the application.

Fox News reported:

The U.S. Supreme Court ordered the Maine state legislature to revoke its censure of GOP state representative Laurel Libby on Tuesday.

Libby has been censured since Feb. 15 for a social media post that identified a transgender Maine high school athlete who won a girls’ pole vault competition. Democrat majority leader and Maine Speaker of the House Ryan Fecteau told Libby that the censure would be revoked if she apologized for the social media post, but Libby has firmly refused.

Instead, the state representative filed a lawsuit to have the censure overturned, but was ruled against by Rhode Island U.S. District Court Judge Melissa DuBose, who was appointed by former President Biden in January. DuBose presided over the case after every district judge in Maine refused to take the case.

Libby then filed an appeal to First Circuit Court of Appeals, but was ruled against there too. So she took her case to the Supreme Court in April.

A half-mile-long rainbow mural has been painted in Washington, DC, to celebrate “World Pride.”

The vibrant “Rainbow Road” painting will stretch down 15th Street between V and O Streets NW.

Neither the Capital Pride Alliance, DDOT, nor related sources (e.g., WorldPride websites, news articles, or public records) state the mural’s cost to taxpayers. Similar large-scale street murals in other cities have ranged from $20,000 to $100,000.

DC’s now-removed “Black Lives Matter Plaza” mural, which covered a portion of 16th Street NW, cost $271,231 to repaint in 2023, including $217,680 in labor and $53,551 in paint supplies. The mural is smaller than Rainbow Road, but it used similar materials and city contractor processes.

Stretching half a mile along 15th Street between V and O Streets NW, a vibrant new mural called Rainbow Road now lines the protected bike lanes with a message as bright as its colors: Pride is for everyone.

Led by renowned muralist Lisa Marie Thalhammer and commissioned in partnership with the Capital Pride Alliance, this mural is believed to be one of the longest murals to feature LGBTQ+ artists, at 10,000-square-feet. The project features original designs by eight LGBTQ+ artists: Thalhammer, Maps Glover, Mundy Spears, Zeynep Uruc, Keyonna Jones, Nia Keturah Calhoun, Beezy and Micah Meyers.

“It gives this neighborhood so much spirit and joy,” Thalhammer told WUSA9. “It’s an awesome project. It’s one of the longest queer murals in the history of murals.”

The artist also claims that the rainbow paint will improve safety for bike riders.

“Safety is a very important element to this project,” Thalhammer said. “It brings visibility and also helps protect riders in the bike lane.”

Over 100 volunteers helped to paint the road over the weekend.

The O’Keefe Media Group last Friday released newly-obtained images from Jeffrey Epstein’s island bedroom.

The footage shows speed dial labels on an alleged sex trafficker’s landline telephones, revealing associates Epstein called frequently from his private island bedroom.

Last Thursday the O’Keefe Media Group released never-before-seen footage of Jeffrey Epstein’s Island library.

The library was full of bizarre statues, unusual objects and even cryptic messages left by Epstein.

James O’Keefe said the cryptic messages written on a chalkboard were likely left by Epstein. The words included “Power,” “Deception,” “Mirror in Face” and “Dank Brain.”

“Handwriting analysis reveals strong similarities between these markings and the note recovered from Epstein’s prison cell, prior to his death,” O’Keefe said.

Pete Hegseth has announced a full investigation into Biden’s failed 2021 Afghanistan withdrawal, which caused the death of 13 U.S. service members and 170 civilians at the Kabul International Airport. 

On August 26, 2021, the Biden Administration led a withdrawal from the country, where they allowed hundreds of ISIS militants to surround Kabul airport. Suicide bombings were reported amid the chaos as Afghans attempted to enter the airport and flee the Taliban.

The Biden Administration left the country in the hands of the Taliban, Al-Qaeda, ISIS-K, and the Al-Qanni terrorists.

Additionally, The Gateway Pundit readers recall that Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, Joint Chiefs Chairman Mark Milley, and CentCom Commander General Kenneth McKenzie all knew about the Kabul Airport terrorist bombing at the Abbey Gate hours in advance.

The top U.S. Military leaders knew that the Abbey Gate Soldiers were at the greatest risk.

Previously, American heroes confirmed to The Gateway Pundit that U.S. brass knew the suicide bomber was in the area of the Kabul Airport, but military brass would not let them take him out.

Sgt. Tyler Vargas-Andrews, a U.S. Marine Corps sniper who served in Afghanistan during the surrender to the Taliban forces, later testified before Congress that he was denied permission to shoot the suicide bomber in Afghanistan.

Hegseth released a Memo on Tuesday, announcing his review of the catastrophic failure.

“The Department of Defense has an obligation, both to the American people and to the warfighters who sacrificed their youth in Afghanistan, to get to the facts,” the memo states, noting that the incident has been under review for three months, and a “comprehensive review” is necessary. The goal of the review is to “ensure ACCOUNTABILITY to the American people and the warfighters of our great Nation,” the memo concludes.

SUBJECT: Departmental Review of the U.S. Military Withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021

On August 26, 2021, President Biden’s administration led a chaotic withdrawal of U.S. military and embassy officials from Afghanistan that led to the deaths of 13 U.S. Service members and 170 civilians in a suicide bombing at the Kabul International Airport’s Abbey Gate. President Trump and I have formally pledged full transparency for what transpired during our military withdrawal from Afghanistan. Parents and local residents were deeply divided at a Chicago-area school board meeting on Monday, after a 7th-grade “transgender” biological boy beat all the girls at a track meet.

The two sides of the debate sat divided with signs either for or against it.

Those in support of the trans athlete waved the blue, pink and white striped transgender flag, while those advocating for athletes to compete against people of the same biological sex held signs reading “Protect girls sports” and “Defend Title IX,” a federal civil rights law that prohibits sex discrimination in education.

The controversy centered around a biological male who competed in a 7th grade track meet against biological females at the Naper Prairie Conference Meet, with attendees at the meeting sharply divided on the issue.

“These situations place feelings over reason and force other students and families to participate in something we all know is a lie,” parent Mike LaBelle said, according to the Fox report.

Naperville resident Doug MacGregor added, “Many of us knew then the achievement gap was just a Trojan horse for DEI’s real objective, pronouns and the radical LGBTQ-plus agenda.”

“Naperville parents will spend literally tens of thousands of dollars on sports throughout their daughters lives: travel teams, coaches, summer camps, traveling to tournaments and meets, etc. and when their daughter steps up for her chance to win a state championship or medal,” MacGregor continued. “She’ll lose to a biological male. That once in a lifetime moment gone because of DEI’s political agenda.”

A “non-binary” elderly person identified as “Dorthy Powers,” who appeared to be transgender, said,  “When a student is forced to compete in a gender with which he or she does not identify, education is a choice. America began providing public education in 1635. Will Naperville continue the proud American tradition of forward progress, or try to justify exclusion? For those who are non-binary, of course I include. I encourage inclusion.”

Shannon Adcock of Awake Illinois counted the argument, saying, “Now in 2025, you’ve got boys stealing girls’ victories, leaving young girls sobbing on the track. This isn’t inclusion. It’s oppression.”

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth will join President Trump in the Oval Office this afternoon to make a major announcement, reportedly on national security and the Golden Dome missile defense system, modeled after Israel’s renowned Iron Dome.

Hegseth is also expected to speak on an investigation he’s launched into Biden’s botched Afghanistan Withdrawal at Kabul Airport in August 2021.

Space Force Vice Chief of Operations, General Michael Guetlein, will also reportedly join the two.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, President Trump signed the “Iron Dome for America” executive order in January, aimed at building a “state-of-the-art Iron Dome missile defense shield” to protect the United States from various aerial threats.

President Trump, Secretary Hegseth, and General Guetlein are expected to announce the latest developments at 3 pm.

Per Fox:

A total of $25 billion has been carved out of next year’s defense budget for this system, but the Congressional Budget office estimates it could cost as much as $500 billion over the next 20 years.

Last month, Reuters reported that Elon Musk’s SpaceX and two of its partners have emerged as frontrunners to build part of the missile defense system.

SpaceX is teaming up with software maker Palantir and defense technology company Anduril for a joint bid, with all three of the companies having met with top officials in the Trump administration and the Pentagon to pitch their proposal, sources told Reuters at the time.

Their plan is to build and launch 400 to up to more than 1,000 satellites to track the movement of missiles around the globe, the sources said. A fleet of 200 attack satellites armed with missiles or lasers would then eliminate enemy projectiles, but the SpaceX group is not anticipated to play a role in the weaponization of those satellites, the sources added.

This follows President Trump’s meeting with House Republicans on Capitol Hill earlier, where he reportedly asked lawmakers to stop haggling over the bill and move it forward to his desk.

“The bill will provide resources for the construction of President Trump’s Golden Dome to safeguard Americans from potential attacks,” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters during a press briefing on Monday.

Candace Owens scored an interview with disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein from prison.

The former Hollywood mogul, now 73, has spoken publicly from behind bars about the accusations against him.

Weinstein is serving a 23-year sentence following his 2020 conviction for rape and sexual assault, and is currently incarcerated at Rikers Island.

During the interview, he addressed the claims made by Gwyneth Paltrow and Rose McGowan, the latter of whom has accused him of forcing her into oral sex.

“I hurt my family. I hurt my friends. I cheated on my wife. And that was a mistake, you know, a terrible mistake,” Weinstein said.

“But I did not commit these crimes. I swear that before God, and the people watching now, and on my family.”

He also addressed claims made by Gwyneth Paltrow that she was one of his victims, admitting that he “definitely made a pass” at her.

“She thought the relationship was abusive,” he explained. “Anybody who was there, who witnessed that relationship with [Paltrow], it just turned into total friends.”

“There’s pictures of her hugging me when I was sick and in the hospital and didn’t think I was gonna make it in 1999. Gwyneth, at the Golden Globes, said, ‘Bomber, we miss you.’”

“She got up and made a speech about me,” he added. “Nobody asked her to do that. In her Academy speech, she thanks me.”

Weinstein is once again facing trial after an appeals court overturned his previous conviction, ruling that the New York proceedings had been compromised by biased testimony.

He has entered a plea of not guilty to all charges and continues to maintain that he has never committed rape or sexual assault.

Since being convicted in 2018, Weinstein has faced a multitude of health problems and was last year rushed out of prison for emergency heart surgery.

Pedro Mondragon-Ramirez, a 41-year-old illegal, is accused of stabbing a woman and her unborn baby to death during an argument.

Police report that the stabbing took place in Rock Hill, South Carolina, on Friday night during an argument.

According to police, officers found the victims, 37-year-old Leonor Alpizar and her unborn child, inside a home and transported the victims to the hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

Police note the suspect fled in the victim’s car before being apprehended and arrested early Saturday morning by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police following a chase.

WCCB reports:

He is being held in the Mecklenburg County Jail as a fugitive from South Carolina. Court documents show Mondragon-Ramirez is being held on an ICE detainer.

Rock Hill police have issued warrants for his arrest on charges of murder, death or injury of a child in utero due to the commission of a violent crime and possession of a knife during a crime of violence.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio ended Democrat Senator Chris Van Hollen’s career on Tuesday during a hearing on the State Department’s budget for 2026.

Rubio defended deporting dangerous criminal alien gang members to El Salvador and torched Van Hollen in the process.

Last month Van Hollen met with Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a wife beater and alleged MS-13 gang banger who was deported for illegally residing in Maryland – and YOU paid for his political stunt.

The corrupt Maryland Senator flew all the way to El Salvador for a photo op in his fight to smuggle deported MS-13 gang member Kilmar Abrego Garcia back to the US.

“I just landed in San Salvador a little while ago, and I look forward to meeting with the team at the U.S. embassy to discuss the release of Mr. Abrego Garcia,” Van Hollen said.

“I also hope to meet with Salvadoran officials and with Kilmar himself. He was illegally abducted and needs to come home,” he added.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia is now home in his native country of El Salvador and Van Hollen tried to actually take him out of his home country and smuggle him over the US border.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia is an El Salvadorian national who was illegally residing in Maryland. In 2019, an immigration judge ordered Abrego Garcia, an alleged member of the dangerous MS-13 gang, removed from the US. El Salvador’s Bukele mocked Van Hollen and posted of a photo of him enjoying margaritas with Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

Van Hollen accused El Salvador’s government of planting the drinks.

“About Margaritagate, I don’t know if you guys are following this or not but President Bukele, after I met with Kilmar, did this tweet showing us at a table with these two glasses – so, here’s what happened…when I first sat down with Kilmar we had glasses of water on the table and as we were talking one of the government people came over and deposited two other glasses on the table with ice – and I don’t know if it’s salt or sugar around the top but they look like margaritas,” Van Hollen said accusing the El Salvadoran government of a conspiracy to frame him.

Van Hollen also got buried after he told Rubio he regrets voting for him for Secretary of State.

“I regret voting for you for Secretary of State,” Van Hollen said to Rubio.

Without skipping a beat, Rubio replied: “Your regret for voting for me confirms I’m doing a good job.”
