President Trump on Friday announced he is doubling steel import tariffs from 25% to 50%.

Trump made the announcement during a rally at U.S. Steel’s Irvin Works plant in celebration of a new deal entered into between the American steel manufacturer and Japan’s Nippon Steel.

“We are going to be imposing a 25% increase. We’re going to bring it from 25% to 50% — the tariffs on steel into the United States of America, which will even further secure the steel industry in the United States. Nobody’s going to get around that,” Trump said.

“At 25% they can sorta get over that fence,” Trump said. “At 50% nobody’s getting over that fence,” Trump said.

President Trump also announced a $5,000 bonus for every steelworker.

The steelworkers erupted in applause.

President Trump took to TRUTH Social on Friday to go off on China after they “TOTALLY VIOLATED ITS AGREEMENT WITH US.”

Trump ended his outburst with, “So much for being MR. NICE GUY!” a clear warning to the communist nation.

President Trump: Two weeks ago China was in grave economic danger! The very high Tariffs I set made it virtually impossible for China to TRADE into the United States marketplace which is, by far, number one in the World. We went, in effect, COLD TURKEY with China, and it was devastating for them. Many factories closed and there was, to put it mildly, “civil unrest.” I saw what was happening and didn’t like it, for them, not for us. I made a FAST DEAL with China in order to save them from what I thought was going to be a very bad situation, and I didn’t want to see that happen. Because of this deal, everything quickly stabilized and China got back to business as usual. Everybody was happy! That is the good news!!! The bad news is that China, perhaps not surprisingly to some, HAS TOTALLY VIOLATED ITS AGREEMENT WITH US. So much for being Mr. NICE GUY!

It didn’t take long for China to violate Trump’s trade agreement.

As reported earlier by Antonio Graceffo – President Trump has imposed steep tariffs on Chinese imports with the dual goal of reducing China’s export volume and encouraging investment and manufacturing in the United States. The basic idea is straightforward: if imported goods from China become too expensive due to tariffs, manufacturers will be incentivized to relocate production to the U.S., and new domestic companies will emerge to offer similar products at competitive prices—cheaper than the cost of Chinese goods plus the added tariff.

At the same time, President Trump acknowledges that these tariffs will generate substantial revenue for the U.S. government. Despite this, Democrats and mainstream media critics have attacked the policy, claiming “it won’t work.”

Yet many of those same critics also argue that tariffs make products more expensive—essentially admitting that the policy works. And if imported goods are still being purchased, it logically follows that the government is earning tariff revenue.

Under President Trump’s new tariff regime, the U.S. government could earn an estimated $30–50 billion annually from tariffs targeting Chinese imports. These tariffs span high-tech sectors, green energy, and critical manufacturing inputs. While generating revenue, they also serve a broader strategic goal: reducing dependency on China and re-shoring American industry. These numbers can be verified by checking U.S. Customs and Border Protection data, Congressional Budget Office projections, and historical tariff revenue reports from the U.S. Treasury.

Obviously, Trump’s new pro-American trade strategy is too much for the communist Chinese.  So they violated the deal.

Now China will have to face a different President Trump. They won’t like what’s coming.

Now, with Trump’s return to power, the U.S. is emerging as a protector of patriotic movements, exemplified by its decisive intervention to safeguard Germany’s largest opposition party, the Alternative für Deutschland (AfD).

The AfD, a vocal advocate for national sovereignty and civil liberties, faced an existential threat when Germany’s Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV) labeled it a “proven right-wing extremist” group on May 2.

This designation, accompanied by a media campaign to delegitimize the party, appeared to be a precursor to a potential ban, raising alarms about the erosion of parliamentary democracy in Germany. The move echoed authoritarian tactics, prompting swift condemnation from key figures in the Trump administration.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio took to X, denouncing the German government’s actions: “Germany has empowered its intelligence service to surveil the opposition. That’s not democracy—it’s disguised tyranny”.

Vice President J.D. Vance amplified the critique, stating, “The West dismantled the Berlin Wall together. Now, the German establishment is rebuilding it—not with Soviet or Russian hands, but their own”.

The decisive blow came on May 7, when Senator Tom Cotton called for U.S. intelligence chief Tulsi Gabbard to suspend cooperation with Germany’s Federal Intelligence Service (BND), labeling the tactics “unworthy of a Western democracy”.

Within 20 hours, the BfV quietly removed the extremist label from its website on May 8, marking a stunning retreat.

This intervention, driven by Trump’s allies, underscores a profound change in U.S. foreign policy. Without Trump’s election victory, the AfD might have faced a ban, potentially setting a precedent for suppressing other opposition movements across Europe.

The U.S., once criticized for undermining democratic processes abroad, is now positioning itself as a defender of democracy, particularly in Germany, a key ally. The AfD’s survival, thanks to American pressure, highlights a broader trend: the Trump administration is prioritizing the protection of parties that champion national identity and resist globalist agendas.

The German establishment’s retreat was further exposed by its own media and experts. The Berliner Zeitung enlisted plagiarism expert Stefan Weber, who revealed the BfV’s report as largely “copy-pasted” from unrelated court rulings, undermining its legitimacy.

Legal scholar Dietrich Murswiek, writing in Focus, argued that the report provided no evidence of the AfD’s hostility toward the constitution, noting that its ethnic-cultural concept of identity is not unconstitutional.

The constitutional law expert Volker Boehme-Neßler went even further in Focus, calling the intelligence agency’s tactics «democratically unacceptable.» These revelations have fueled a growing debate about the state of democracy in Germany, with comparisons to authoritarian regimes that use state agencies against political rivals.

This episode signals a potential turning point for Europe. As populist and patriotic movements gain traction across the continent, from France’s National Rally to Italy’s Brothers of Italy, the U.S. under Trump appears poised to support these forces against establishment efforts to marginalize them.

The question now is whether this shift will inspire other European nations to reconsider their approach to political dissent or double down on suppression. With the U.S. emerging as an unexpected guardian of democratic principles, the tide may indeed be turning in favor of sovereignty and liberty in Europe.

On Friday President Trump held a press conference in the Oval Office with Elon Musk, who was sporting a mysterious black eye.

Elon Musk stepped down as the head of DOGE and said his time as a special government employee has come to an end.

A reporter asked Elon Musk about his black eye.

“Mr. Musk, is your eye okay? What happened to your eye? Is this a bruise there?” a reporter asked Elon Musk.

Elon Musk said his son X punched him in the face.

“Well, I wasn’t anywhere near France, so..” Musk said. “I was just horsing around with Little X and I said, ‘Go ahead, punch me in the face,’ – and he did. It turns out even a 5-year-old punching you in the face actually does…”

Trump chimed in, “It was X that did that? X could do that. If you knew X he could do it.”

Border Czar Tom Homan delivered a message to GOP lawmakers and Sanctuary City officials in an interview with The Gateway Pundit at the White House this week.

In response to GOP Senators who are planning to vote against the Big Beautiful bill, which narrowly passed in the House last week and provides funding for Border Patrol, enforcement, and barriers to illegal crossing, Homan called on the Senate to obey the will of the voters.

“Look, President Trump was voted into office by the American people, and the biggest issue was securing the border and removing public safety threats and national security threats, criminal illegal aliens in this country,” Homan said. “I would think every member of the GOP would agree, there’s no downside to securing the border.”

As The Gateway Pundit reported, several Republican Senators, including Rick Scott (R-FL), have voiced concerns over the bill and vowed not to vote for it, citing concerns about the deficit. Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI), who also opposes the bill, said the One Big Beautiful Bill does not have the votes to pass the Senate earlier this week.

Homan further warned Democrat Sanctuary City leaders against committing felonies by impeding ICE, warning he will be asking for prosecution of those who harbor illegal aliens.

Earlier this week, Homan responded to Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell’s attempts to obstruct ICE enforcement operations and protect public safety threats, including sex offenders, violent criminals, gang members, and repeat border-crossers. In addition to ongoing House Committee investigations, he signaled that O’Connell may be under investigation by federal law enforcement and that he plans on paying a visit to Nashville.

So far, a former New Mexico judge and a Milwaukee County judge have been arrested for harboring or concealing illegal aliens from arrest. Rep. LaMonica McIver (D-NJ) has also faced charges for assaulting ICE agents at the Delaney Hall Detention Center in Newark, New Jersey.

But not a single sitting official directing Sanctuary City policies has been arrested for shielding aliens, including designated foreign terrorist cartel members, from ICE, a felony violation. 8 U.S. Code § 1324 carries penalties of prison time for anybody who “brings to or attempts to bring to,” “moves or attempts to transport or move,” “conceals, harbors, or shields from detection, or attempts to conceal, harbor, or shield from detection” illegal aliens. Charges may be enhanced if the alien causes injury or death to another person, which is all too common with the violent criminal aliens.

“That’s going to be up to the DOJ” to prosecute, Homan says. He also said he has spoken to Attorney General Bondi about the issue, but stated that he’s keeping the discussions between him and Bondi confidential.

Hopefully, Bondi and the DOJ will actually do something besides civil lawsuits to deter these criminals from giving sanctuary to illegal aliens.

Homan: Look, President Trump was voted into office by the American people, and the biggest issue was securing the border and removing public safety threats and national security threats, criminal illegal aliens in this country. The American people voted for that. I would think every member of the GOP would agree, there’s no downside to securing the border. There’s no downside on removing public safety threats in this country. It should be a nonpartisan issue, but especially the GOP, who the American people have spoken, this is what they want. We’re giving them what they want. They need to give them what they want also. That’s my opinion.

Conradson: You recently said there may or may not be an ICE investigation into the Nashville mayor. You at least said you’re keeping a closer eye on him. Is there a chance, you know we’ve seen it with LaMonica McIver, we’ve seen it with these two judges. Is there a chance we could see a sitting sanctuary state official have charges brought against them for impeding ICE?

Homan: That’s going to be up to DOJ, but I’ll say it again, don’t cross the line. If you cross the line and commit a crime, then we’ll certainly ask for criminal prosecution. That’ll be up to the DOJ.

Infowars reporter Jamie White was killed in a racially motivated attack, police said.

Jamie White, 36, was murdered in Austin, Texas, in March.

InfoWars founder Alex Jones announced the murder of his reporter:

Alex Jones was in shock as he disclosed on his show that Jamie White was shot in the arm and through his carotid artery in his neck.

Jamie White was found lying on the ground in the parking lot of his apartment complex and passed away at the hospital at 12:19 am on Monday.

Earlier this month police arrested one of the four suspects involved in Jamie White’s murder.

Eloy Adrian Camarillo, 17, confessed to police that White, 36, was shot during an attempted vehicle burglary by him and three of his friends.

On Thursday, the three other suspects were arrested, according to Austin Police.

“Rodney Charles Hill, 17, was the latest arrest in the case, according to Detective Jason Jones. He was taken into custody Tuesday. He and three others, two of whom are under 17 and not identified under Texas law, face capital murder charges, KXAN reported.

Police said one of the suspects rapped about killing a ‘white boy’ after Jamie White was murdered.

“Police found audio recordings on Hill’s cell phone of a person they believe to be Hill rapping about White’s death,” KXAN reported. “The affidavit said some of the lyrics included a mention of White’s name and referenced what happened, including “White boy came outside/Hit his damn a– with a 9.””

“Elon has worked tirelessly helping lead the most sweeping and consequential government reform program in generations,” Trump said in a farewell press conference Friday for Elon Musk. The billionaire is ending his time as a special government employee leading the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

Trump extolled Musk for his work as the head of DOGE, citing his work modernizing government departments, finding wasteful federal programs, and cutting government spending. “Elon’s service to America has been without comparison in modern America,” the president said. “Americans owe him a great debt of gratitude.” 

Trump promised that DOGE would continue its work even after Elon’s departure and said that he supported Congress codifying the cuts made by the department. “Those hundreds of billions of dollars are going to continue to add [up],” he said.

To demonstrate his gratitude to Musk, Trump presented him with a massive gold key to the White House.

In his own statement at the press conference, Musk said that DOGE’s work would not end with his departure, and that the DOGE mindset would continue to permeate the federal government under the Trump administration. “This is not the end of DOGE, but only the beginning,” he said. “I am confident that over time, we’ll see a trillion dollars in savings.”

Bernard Kerik, who served as the commissioner of the New York Police Department, died Thursday in Manhattan.

Kerik was appointed as NYPD commissioner by Mayor Rudy Giuliani in August 2000. The appointment was controversial at the time due to Kerik’s perceived rapid promotion through the NYPD and lack of a college degree.

Kerik became famous nationwide due to his response to 9/11 as police commissioner. During the attacks, Kerik, as well as Giuliani and their staffs were showered by debris and trapped in a nearby building temporarily.

In 2003, during the Iraq War, President George W. Bush appointed Kerik the acting interior minister for Iraq’s provisional authority.

In 2004, Kerik was briefly nominated by Bush to serve as the second secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, but withdrew his name after a week due to his earlier hiring of an illegal immigrant as a housekeeper.

Kerik’s reputation was further damaged in 2009 when he pled guilty to two counts of tax fraud, five counts of making false statements to the federal government during vetting, and one count of making a false statement on a loan application. He was sentenced to four years in prison in 2010, but was released in 2013 and served an additional five months of home confinement.

President Donald Trump pardoned Kerik in early 2020. 

Kerik worked again for Giuliani in the aftermath of the 2020 election on post-election litigation. Kerik was one of 34 unindicted co-conspirators in Fani Willis’s campaign against Trump and various Trump-associates.

President Trump is scheduled to deliver remarks during a rally at U.S. Steel’s Irvin Works plant tonight at 5 pm in celebration of a new deal entered into between the American steel manufacturer and Japan’s Nippon Steel.

The President has called the deal “the largest Investment in the History of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.”

U.S. Steel, headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is the 27th largest steelmaker in the world and produces roughly 14.5 million tons of liquid steel annually.

Previously, under Biden, Nippon Steel was set to acquire United States Steel Corporation in a cash transaction valued at nearly $15 billion, raising questions about the future of American industry and labor amid larger national security conversations.

But President Trump saved U.S. Steel, and the company will “REMAIN in America, and keep its Headquarters in the Great City of Pittsburgh,” he said.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, the President announced the finalization of an agreement last week, saying it will create “at least 70,000 jobs” and “add $14 Billion Dollars to the U.S. Economy.”
