Palantir Co-founder Peter Thiel Discusses The Antichrist and Transhumanism in Latest Interview (VIDEO)

Palantir co-founder Peter Thiel recently met with New York Times columnist Ross Douthat to discuss many topics, including innovation, life extension technology, the antichrist, and transhumanism.

The topic of transhumanism was brought up when Douthat asked Thiel, “Should the human race survive?”

Thiel responded, “Yes. But I also would like us to radically solve these problems. And so it’s always, I don’t know, yeah — transhumanism.”

The co-founder of Palantir added,  “The ideal was this radical transformation where your human, natural body gets transformed into an immortal body.”

He later stated that transgenderism doesn’t go far enough when it comes to changing one’s body and shared, “We want more than cross-dressing or changing your sex organs. We want you to be able to change your heart and change your mind and change your whole body.”

In case you’re unfamiliar with transhumanism, it’s an ideology that promotes using technology and science to enhance human capabilities.

Essentially, transhumanists welcome an era where humans merge with machines.

Later in the interview, Thiel and Douthat discuss the antichrist.

Thiel shared that “The way the Antichrist would take over the world is you talk about Armageddon nonstop. You talk about existential risk nonstop, and this is what you need to regulate.”

The New York Times provided a transcript:

Douthat: You have been giving talks recently about the concept of the Antichrist, which is a Christian concept, an apocalyptic concept. What does that mean to you? What is the Antichrist?

Thiel: All right. Well, I could talk about it for a long time. I think there’s always a question of how we articulate some of these existential risks, some of the challenges we have, and they’re all framed in this sort of runaway dystopian science text. There’s a risk of nuclear war, there’s a risk of environmental disaster. Maybe something specific, like climate change, although there are lots of other ones we’ve come up with. There’s a risk of bioweapons. You have all the different sci-fi scenarios. Obviously, there are certain types of risks with A.I.

Thiel: But I always think that if we’re going to have this frame of talking about existential risks, perhaps we should also talk about the risk of another type of a bad singularity, which I would describe as the one-world totalitarian state. Because I would say the default political solution people have for all these existential risks is one-world governance. What do you do about nuclear weapons? We have a United Nations with real teeth that controls them, and they’re controlled by an international political order. And then something like this is also: What do we do about A.I.? And we need global compute governance. We need a one-world government to control all the computers, log every single keystroke, to make sure people don’t program a dangerous A.I. And I’ve been wondering whether that’s going from the frying pan into the fire.

Thiel: The atheist philosophical framing is “One World or None.” That was a short film that was put out by the Federation of American Scientists in the late ’40s. It starts with the nuclear bomb blowing up the world, and obviously, you need a one-world government to stop it — one world or none. And the Christian framing, which in some ways is the same question, is: Antichrist or Armageddon? You have the one-world state of the Antichrist, or we’re sleepwalking toward Armageddon. “One world or none,” “Antichrist or Armageddon,” on one level, are the same question.

Thiel: It’s a very implausible plot hole. But I think we have an answer to this plot hole. The way the Antichrist would take over the world is you talk about Armageddon nonstop. You talk about existential risk nonstop, and this is what you need to regulate. It’s the opposite of the picture of Baconian science from the 17th, 18th century, where the Antichrist is like some evil tech genius, evil scientist who invents this machine to take over the world. People are way too scared for that.

Thiel: In our world, the thing that has political resonance is the opposite. The thing that has political resonance is: We need to stop science, we need to just say “stop” to this. And this is where, in the 17th century, I can imagine a Dr. Strangelove, Edward Teller-type person taking over the world. In our world, it’s far more likely to be Greta Thunberg.

Teachers’ Union Chief Randi Weingarten Accidentally Makes the Case for Defunding Unions in Awkward Video

Randi Weingarten, the head of the largest teacher union in the country, accidentally made the case for defunding teachers’ unions in a recent social media post.

While Weingarten whined, she awkwardly bounced around.  Perhaps she was trying to convey passion, but instead, she just looked unhinged.

“We elect leaders to help working families thrive,” she said. “Our members do that every day.”

“But this Congress and this President have tried to pass a big, yes, it’s big, but very ugly bill that attacks our public schools and our health care.”

“Public education funding shouldn’t be used as a piggy bank for the wealthy. It’s wrong.”

“Our families deserve leaders who work for us, not against us.”

If only teachers’ unions would follow Randi’s advice.

Corey DeAngelis, a senior fellow at the American Culture Project, reminded her that unions use families as the piggy bank for their radical agenda and unloaded facts on Randi.

Earlier in June, Weingarten resigned from a longtime position she held at the Democratic National Committee.  Her departure led to questions about why the head of the largest teacher union had a position at the DNC to begin with.

Massachusetts Woman Records Unidentified Object Falling From the Sky (VIDEO)

This week, many strange things have been reported in the skies throughout the United States, and the trend continues.

A woman in Massachusetts recorded an unidentified object falling from the sky near her home.

Pembroke, Massachusetts, resident Colleen McCormack told Boston 25 News that on Wednesday night, as she was sitting in her hot tub, she noticed an object falling from the sky.

McCormack quickly took out her phone and was able to record the object.

She stated, “It looked like it was on fire or something and it was just coming down really fast.”

A woman captured a video of an unidentified object falling from the sky in Pembroke Wednesday night.

Colleen McCormack said she was sitting by her hot tub around 9 p.m. when she saw a strangely shaped object in the air.

“I pull out my phone and I zoomed in and it was right about there,” McCormack explained.

She recorded the object headed straight down in an eight-second video.

The FAA said they did not get any reports of debris in the area and was not able to comment on the video, saying they don’t comment on any third-party videos.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, residents in the southeastern part of the United States spotted a massive fireball streak through the skies earlier in the week.

The American Meteor Society reported receiving over 140 reports from residents of Georgia, Alabama, Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina who had spotted a fireball.

Officials Erased from Existing Photos After North Korea’s National Humiliation

Welcome to North Korea, where making a very public mistake can potentially cost you your life.

That’s at least the worry for two senior officials involved with the sinking of a destroyer during its botched loss last month. According to multiple reports, the two men have been erased from state photos — and many fear they’ve been killed.

The ship was the second of a new class of destroyer to be launched by the hermit state from the shipyard in Chongjin — only things didn’t go as planned, as indicated by the fact they tried to cover it up with tarps:

And heads weren’t going to roll figuratively, but literally. The state-run Korea Central News Agency described the damage as “not serious” (going to disagree there) but “an unpardonable criminal act” (which, in North Korea, it definitely is).

Kim Jong-un, who was in attendance and watching when the sinking happened, said that the act “severely damaged the [country’s] dignity and pride” and resulted from “absolute carelessness, irresponsibility and unscientific empiricism.”

Now, according to the New York Post, two of the high-ranking officials involved have been retconned out of existence in old photos — a clear sign that wherever they are, things ain’t good.

Admr. Kim Myong Sil and Hong Kil Ho — who are responsible for operating the shipyard in Chongjin — have been “expunged from the North Korean photographic record on orders of Kim — who blames them for the hermit kingdom’s inability to launch,” the Post reported on June 18.

The ship had become unbalanced as it was lowered into the water, which wrecked parts of the hull while leaving the bow of the 5,000-ton vessel still on the shipway.

This has led to fears they were executed for this:

The two North Korean honchos were originally pictured on the left side of the photo released by North Korean state media, near Kim.

In the edited photos released by North Korean state media, there is now a conspicuously empty space where Myong Sil and Kil Ho once stood.

The move was reminiscent of the Soviet Union’s brutal dictator Joseph Stalin, who made common practice of erasing political adversaries from notable pics, including the infamously overt erasure of Nikolai Yezhov.

Yes, well, this is what happens when you leave things to one of the last pure adherents to a form of Stalinism, the scion of the brutal Kim cult of personality.

The Post reported that Kim was also making it seem like everything was hunky dory after the ship was righted, saying that it was “convincing proof of the rapid transformation of our Navy. …

“No one will doubt, I think, the rapid transformation of our Navy as they have witnessed the launching of another new-type destroyer less than two months after a similar event at the Nampho Shipyard.”

“The super-radical growth of our Navy’s operations capability is now being proved by powerful entities, not by a prediction or possibility, and this has already become an unstoppable, powerful current of history,” Kim added.

And, of course, if you don’t make sure that the “unstoppable, powerful current of history” doesn’t prevent your destroyer from capsizing when it’s being lowered into the water, you could end up dead. Motivation!

In all seriousness, this is more proof why North Korea cannot be dealt with on a rational basis. From all indications, this accident happened because the facility simply couldn’t build and launch a destroyer the way that the regime wanted it to. Because of that lack of resources, men will be jailed and probably executed.

Communism in action, yet again.

Senator Markwayne Mullin Delivers Common Sense On Medicaid Reform: “We don’t pay people in this country to be lazy”

Senator Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) joined Kristin Welker on Meet the Press and delivered some common sense in regards to Medicaid reform.

“What is so hard about requiring an able-body individual with no dependents, no sickness, to work 20 hours a week?” Mullin asked.

“I know you work more than 20 hours this weekend alone. What is so hard about having a work requirement there with someone that has no medical condition and no dependents?”

“We don’t pay people in this country to be lazy. We want to give them an opportunity.”

“When they’re going through a hard time, we want to give them a help in hand. That’s what Medicaid was designed for, and it’s unfortunately, it’s been abused.”

“So what we are focused on is making sure that Medicaid is there for people in the future that need it and get rid of the fraud, waste, and abuse.”

Study: ‘More Diversity of Thought on the Political Right Than on the Political Left’ – And It’s Not Even Close

A 2023 study in the British Journal of Social Psychology has recently gone viral, confirming objectively what critical thinkers in the previous decade had already deduced: that the political right “diverges widely” in thought, whereas the political left “coalesces around a very narrow set of opinion.”

On Monday, June 23, Rasmussen’s Mark Mitchell, whose record of predictive accuracy as a pollster stands alone among all pundits in the previous American decade, posted a highlight from the viral British Journal of Social Psychology study.

 

The most widely circulated response to Mitchell’s post linked the full fifteen page study from the British Journal of Social Psychology, which published five different charts, or “heatmaps,” all confirming, based on network modeling data, the same hypothesis that the researchers tendered: that, overwhelmingly, leftists tend to engage in “groupthink,” while members of the political right tend to think independently.

The psychological study posited that personal attitudes shape political identities. The researchers formed clusters of left-wing participants and right-wing participants within the study. Then, the researchers surveyed the extreme degree to which the participants held their views on key political issues.

According to the British Journal of Social Psychology:

“A visual inspection of the network reveals two attitude clusters. To understand whether partisanship was a latent factor overlaying the two clusters, we generated a heatmap by correlating the selection of each node with participants’ self-reported partisan identification. As shown in Figure 2b, the cluster reflecting the Democrat belief-system almost exclusively contained extreme attitudes as indicated by strong disagreement with each of the eight political issues. Conversely, the cluster reflecting the Republican belief-system contained a wider range of attitude responses ranging from mild disagreement to maximum agreement.”

The British Journal of Social Psychology study was highly conclusive.

In the United States, ever since President Trump became the Republican nominee for president in 2016, Americans have witnessed and endured the ever-changing, yet always pitifully simplistic, rhetoric of the political left.

In lockstep, the left first claimed that President Trump must be disqualified from seeking the office of president, despite the United States boasting the world’s most advanced constitutional republic in history, capable of accommodating any freely and fairly elected leader.

Then, the left claimed that President Trump must be impeached as president, and convicted, for allegedly colluding with Russia in the 2016 election, despite Democrats presenting no evidence of President Trump committing a crime.

In 2019, after President Trump was exonerated with regard to Russia, Democrats demanded that President Trump be removed from office for holding a private phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. During the phone call, President Trump rightfully urged Ukraine to re-open its investigation into the Biden family’s foreign influence and corruption.

With Hunter Biden evidently being the recipient of over $3 million from Burisma Holdings – a nefarious, former Ukranian natural gas company – astoundingly, Joe Biden himself bragged about issuing a quid pro quo to Ukraine while Vice President: the US would promise to withhold $1 billion in “foreign aid” to Ukraine, unless, and until, Ukraine fired its Prosecutor General investigating the corruption of Burisma Holdings.

Even after the US Senate acquitted President Trump regarding his private phone call with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, certain left-wing political leaders, civilians, and the Deep State acted most maliciously preceding, and in the aftermath of, the 2020 election.

From 2020-2022, left-wing political leaders and civilians forced masks upon healthy children, at all hours of the day, punishing, and suspending from school, those children who gasped for air, refusing to comply.

Left-wing political leaders then banned, and arrested civilians, who gathered at churches for worship, and to attend weddings and funerals.

Simultaneously, left-wing leaders such as Joe Biden held haywire political rallies in which adults sat ten feet apart within individual circles taped to the ground, wearing masks, outdoors.

In the final weeks leading up to the 2020 election, Deep State intelligence operatives malevolently conspired with the Mainstream Media and Democrat Party to label the mere existence of Hunter Biden’s blatantly incriminating laptop as “Russian disinformation.” According to polling, this high-strung disinformation campaign demonstrably swayed voters in the 2020 election.

In 2021, the Deep State, Mainstream Media, and Democrat Party framed President Trump as “inciting an insurrection,” simply for attempting to peacefully and lawfully contest an election that employed numerous unprecedented, unlawful, and unverifiable voting procedures.

Once President Trump was again acquitted by the US Senate, millions of patriots remained de-platformed from social media merely for voicing their opinions on the 2020 presidential election.

Although struck down by the US Supreme Court, the Biden administration then attempted to institute a national vaccine mandate, forcing all working Americans to take indefinite doses of an experimental vaccine.

Finally, the Department of Justice, along with various rogue District Attorneys under the Biden administration, pursued extreme measures of lawfare, attempting to imprison President Trump.

The average left-wing American, to be sure, could not explain, or so much as name, the charges levied against President Trump by the Biden administration. Yet, according to AP polling from July, 2024, 78% of Democrats believed that President Trump should serve prison time.

Conclusively, the modern American political left has demonstrated, as evidenced by the British Journal of Social Psychology study, that left-wing ideology remains flatlined, in spite of all change in the political arena.

When Americans challenge left-wing leaders in power, the left responds, in turn, by silencing and imprisoning Americans. Modern left-wing political leaders have proven to neither cherish our sacred individual liberties, nor prioritize equal justice under the law.

When will the American left learn to tolerate and respect differences of opinion?

Democratic New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani has claimed that the policy of protecting illegal aliens from deportation has “kept New York safe for decades.”

In an interview with NBC’s Meet The Press, Mamdani also pledged to “fight back” against ICE should he win election in November.

Here is a transcript of the exchange:

WELKER: Let’s talk about immigration and deportation. Are you committed to keeping New York as a sanctuary city?

MAMDANI: Absolutely. Because ultimately, we’ve seen that this is a policy that has kept New Yorkers safe for decades. It’s a policy that had previously been defended by Democrats and Republicans alike until the fear-mongering of this current mayor.

It’s a policy that we’ve seen ensures that New Yorkers can get out of the shadows and into the full life of the city that they belong to. And it’s one that I will be proud to stand up for.”

WELKER: Well, you know, the borders are. Tom Homan has said that he is planning to deploy ICE agents to New York worksite enforcement to essentially increase and enhance the number of ICE agents here.

If that happens on your watch, how do you plan to handle it

MAMDANI:  We have to stand up and fight back, and we haven’t seen that from our current mayor, who has instead been working with the Trump administration to assist in their goal of building the single largest deportation force in American history.

I mean, we saw ICE agents arrest a migrant at Federal Plaza. We saw NYPD officers arresting a pastor who was peacefully observing that arrest.

Those days are going to come to an end when I’m the mayor. The NYPD’s job is to create public safety in the city, not to assist ICE agents in their mission to attack the very fabric of this city.

GONE TO POT: Thailand Reverses Cannabis Decriminalization, Imposes Need for Doctor’s Prescription for Purchase

The booming Thai weed industry is now in check.

Thailand was the first country in Asia to decriminalize cannabis, but the experiment appears to have gone awry, as the Thai government this last week moved to backtrack the policies, and impose new rules designed to rein in the weed ‘scene’.

As of last Thursday (26), customers now need a doctor’s prescription to buy pot — limiting consumption of the plant to medical purposes only.

CNN reported:

“Thailand’s public health minister told CNN on Wednesday he hopes to eventually recriminalize cannabis as a narcotic, in what would be a major reversal from Thailand’s liberal approach since declassification, which saw a boom of dispensaries and weed cafes opening across the country, particularly in tourist areas.

‘This must be clearly understood: cannabis is permitted for medical use only’, Public Health Minister Somsak Thepsutin told CNN.”

Thailand’s Health Ministry will now regulate cannabis as ‘a controlled herb’.

“That means licensed cannabis shops can now only sell to customers with a medical prescription. They are also required to keep detailed sales records and face regular inspections by authorities, Somsak said. New rules also put stricter controls on growers and farmers, ban commercial advertising and prohibit cannabis from being sold in vending machines or online.

More than 18,000 licensed cannabis shops across the country will have to adapt or risk closing. Penalties for sellers caught violating the new rules include up to one year in prison or a fine of 20,000 baht ($620), though the health ministry is proposing new legislation that would significantly increase this.”

Thai authorities also banned advertising of cannabis products, changing the scenery at tourist hotspots in Bangkok.

“We want to tell tourists they are welcome to enjoy Thailand’s culture and nature — but Thailand should not be seen as a destination for recreational cannabis use,” Somsak said.”

After the legalization, the government had intended to ‘regulate the industry’, but when it failed to do so, recreational use became rampant across the kingdom, particularly in areas popular with foreigners.

UPDATE: Two Killed After Active Shooter Opens Fire on Firefighters in Idaho, FBI Tactical Teams Deployed

As The Gateway Pundit reported earlier, multiple first responders have been shot in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, while responding to a brush fire.

CNN reported that two people were fatally shot and several others were injured after a gunman ambushed them.

Currently, there is at least one active shooter still firing at law enforcement officers.

Kootenai County Sheriff Robert Norris stated, “We don’t know if there’s one, two three or four,” shooters.

Kootenai County Emergency Management has told people in the area to shelter in place and asked others to avoid the area.

Firefighters were ambushed by a gunman while responding to a brush fire in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Kootenai County Sheriff’s Lt. Jeff Howard told ABC News.

At least two people were killed as an active shooter opened fired on first responders, the sheriff said. The exact amount of casualties was unknown as the situation is still ongoing.

The incident unfolded after a small but growing brush fire broke out on Canfield Mountain Sunday afternoon.

When fire personnel responded to the blaze, they started getting shot at by an unknown person in the woods, Howard said.

Law enforcement officers are investigating whether the fire was purposely set to ambush the officers.

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino posted on X that “FBI assets are headed to the scene in Coeur d’Alene to provide tactical and operational support.”

MSNBC host Symone Sanders Townsend came unglued on Friday during a discussion on the U.S. Supreme Court (SCOTUS) ruling on birthright citizenship, calling the ruling “insane.”

On Friday, SCOTUS delivered a powerful rebuke of activist judges and handed President Trump a pivotal legal victory by reaffirming the rightful balance of power between the judiciary and the executive.

In a 6–3 decision, the Court sided with the Trump administration, ruling that federal district courts lack the constitutional or statutory authority to issue so-called ‘universal injunctions.’ The ruling stems from challenges to President Trump’s executive order.

Hours after taking office, Trump signed an executive order ending birthright citizenship, which gives children born in the U.S. the immediate right to citizenship.

The rule of law was too much for Sanders Townsend.

Per Fox News:

“I just don’t, I can’t believe that we are asking the question, ‘is the 14th Amendment to the Constitution constitutional?’ That is what, it is crazy. And I am sorry, but people need to call, ‘this is crazy.’ They are asking us… They’re asking us not to believe our own eyes and our own ears. They’re asking us to go against everything that we know to be true. This is insane,” Sanders Townsend said.

Fellow MSNBC host Michael Steele added, “this is the landscape we find ourselves on now.”

“I mean, the reality is that they have been very effective. Trump and his minions inside the government have been very effective at setting the stairsteps to the various narratives that they want to get accomplished,” he said.

Following the ruling, President Trump told reporters, “We can now promptly file to proceed with numerous policies” that were previously blocked by radical left judges.

This includes previous executive orders and actions, such as “including birthright citizenship, ending sanctuary city funding, suspending refugee resettlement, freezing unnecessary funding, stopping federal taxpayers from paying for transgender surgeries and numerous other priorities of the American people,” the President told reporters.
