Backlash Over Cartoon Mocking Trump Supporting Victims of Texas Flood Causes Museum to Postpone Journalism Event

The Llano River in Central Texas.

A cartoon by Adam Zyglis that ran in The Buffalo News this week has sparked outrage and even death threats.

In the one-frame image, a man wearing a MAGA hat appears to be drowning in the flood waters while holding up a sign with a message decrying big government. People were angered by the sentiment and targeting of Trump supporters, but even more so because so many people have died as a result of the flood, including children.

A museum in Buffalo was planning an event that would feature work by Zyglis, but it was postponed out of caution.

The Associated Press reports:

Death threats over Texas flooding cartoon force museum journalism event to be postponed

An event in support of local reporting was postponed after death threats against a journalist for his newspaper editorial cartoon about the catastrophic flooding in Texas, according to a union.

An online fury erupted this week over an editorial cartoon in The Buffalo News by Pulitzer Prize-winner Adam Zyglis showing a man in a MAGA cap being swept away by the Texas floodwaters. Nose deep in the water, the man is holding up a sign that reads “Help” and a speech bubble floating downstream says: “Gov’t is the problem not the solution.”

At least 120 people were killed in the Texas flooding and more than 170 were missing.

The Buffalo Newspaper Guild said a happy hour event Thursday at the Buffalo History Museum called “Drawing Support for Local Journalism” was postponed amid the backlash. The free, public event was planned to highlight the need for local journalism at a museum exhibit of Zyglis’ work.

You can see the cartoon, and some angry comments, below:

What is wrong with leftists? Why do so many of them seem to react with glee to situations like this?

The Spectacles of Age

The Spectacles of Age

The longer life goes, the shorter our sight.

Phoropter,For,Eye,Test,,Lenses,Glasses,For,Eye,Check,In

On a pleasant day in the second grade, I looked up from whatever equation I was solving, assignment I was reading, or cartoon I was surreptitiously drawing to find, quite to my surprise, a haze before me. Try as I might, I could not discern any of the letters, numbers, or other symbols on the chalkboard. It was as though a fog had descended upon the classroom.

Of course, the trouble was not with the climate but with my eyesight—which, as far as I was concerned, had quite suddenly gone fuzzy. I have no recollection of ever having to strain to see the chalkboard until this very moment, but for several days or even weeks thereafter, I remember doing little but straining. My inability to read what was written on the chalkboard led to the faltering of my otherwise stellar grades. I was no longer acing my tests, which evidently struck my perceptive teacher as so peculiar that she searched for some explanation other than a sudden failure of my intelligence: I believe she called my parents to let them know that she thought I might be having trouble seeing the chalkboard.

Such was my introduction into the ranks of eyeglass-wearers.

In my recollection, my parents were taken aback by my teacher’s casual diagnosis of nearsightedness, though their surprise was myopia of a different sort: Since they both had worn glasses most of their adult lives, why on earth would they have expected their son to have anything resembling 20/20 vision?

With worries over my stumbling academic career in the back of my mind, I was taken to the ophthalmologist, who, after a few quick manipulations of the phoropter device, confirmed what I already knew: I had difficulty in seeing across great distances—such as from my desk to the chalkboard. For my parents, my unanticipated need to wear glasses must have been a bit humbling: a first sign that their son was susceptible to the same physical ailments or limitations as everyone else.

When, on subsequent trips to the ophthalmologist, my nearsightedness was found to have worsened, my mother, ever eager to deny decline of any sort, gamely asked whether it might be related to my now wearing glasses all the time—which, of course, I had to in order to do my schoolwork and other basic tasks. The ophthalmologist was polite but never quite agreed with my mother’s contrarian explanation for my bad eyesight.

For me, however, my eyeglass prescription quickly became something of a calling card. Here was written evidence that I was different from my peers in a particular sort of ego-boosting way. You see, even in the second grade, I fancied myself an aspiring writer, and I associated writing with bookishness, and bookishness with the need for glasses. What sort of self-respecting writer had perfect vision? By the same token, my glasses granted me an instant exemption from those athletic activities that I neither enjoyed nor excelled at. It was a win-win.

As I grew up, I maintained a running list of favorite writers who were, more often than not, photographed while wearing their spectacles—proof not only of their need (like my own) for eyeglasses but of their apparent pride in being in need of them: Ray Bradbury, Flannery O’Connor, Stephen King, and P.G. Wodehouse, to name just a few. I came to regard as role models those rare glasses-wearing heroes in fiction. After all, Clark Kent made glasses essential to the maintenance of his secret identity, and the silent film comedian Harold Lloyd crafted a character whose glasses were his defining feature in such movies as Safety Last and The Freshman. Lloyd even called his creation “the glasses character.”

Yet was I secure in my sense of myself as a spectacle-wearer as I let on?  Curiously, there was one significant exception to my enthusiasm for glasses: when I was being photographed. As a 12-year-old aspiring political cartoonist, I had the great good luck of getting the attention of my hometown newspaper. I was interviewed about my fledgling career by a reporter, and I was scheduled to have my picture taken in front of the drawing table in my bedroom. Yet, when the day came, I caved: I took off my glasses. My photograph appeared on the front page of the paper, but without my glasses. Who was I kidding? My father was interviewed for the story and said (correctly) that I took pride in being called a “nerd,” so why did I flee my nerdishness by ditching my glasses? Unlike my mother, I knew I needed glasses, but had I adopted her antipathy toward them? I persisted in this uncharacteristic display of vanity until very recently: I wore glasses all the time, except when having my picture taken.

Yet a recent appointment with an optometrist—my first such visit in decades—was a chastening experience. There, I learned that my vision had again declined and that my prescription, left untouched lo! these many years, was in need of a serious upgrade. There was no getting around it: The second-grader who could not clearly perceive the chalkboard was now the full-time writer who squinted to see the television set and, sometimes, the computer screen. It is time to face facts. It may even be time to add a pair of tortoise shell frames to the otherwise excellent caricature of me that accompanies this very column.

Why Negotiations With Russia Seem So Difficult

Why Negotiations With Russia Seem So Difficult

Russia’s historical fears mix badly with Western fecklessness.

Moscow,,Russia,-,February,28,,2018:,Russian,President,Vladimir,Putin.
(Free Wind 2014/Shutterstock)

Russia is more than a millennium old with a long diplomatic history. Some of Russia’s difficulty may come from the U.S. elites’ ignorance of Russian history and its sensitivities to real or perceived threats of foreign invasion. Many Americans remember the huge drama which arose during the Kennedy presidency when the Soviets put a few missiles in Cuba. Foreign policy wonks still talk about how close we came to World War III.

Americans who do not know or acknowledge Russia’s history are unable to understand Russian thinking, thus compromising their ability to consummate agreements with Russia.

After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the U.S. political elites promised not to move NATO east into former Warsaw Pact countries. Every time another former Warsaw Pact nation was added into NATO, the Russians complained and the West shrugged off the complaints. They believed Russia was too weak due to their struggle to recover from the ruinous Soviet years. Washington’s attitude was, “So what are you going to do about it?”

U.S. leaders also have spent years engaging ad nauseam in threats to weaken or break up Russia, to ruin the Russian economy, to change the Russian regime—and, of course, have levied decades of never-ending sanctions. This behavior has eroded the trust necessary to negotiate in good faith.

After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the Russians desired to be included as a member of the West. (They foolishly believed our narrative of peace, democracy, and freedom even while we were engaging in nonstop wars.) George H.W. Bush assured Gorbachev the U.S. had no intentions of antagonism toward Russia and that NATO was a defensive organization. Gorbachev was given assurances when the Russians withdrew their troops from what had been the Warsaw Pact nations, that NATO would not take advantage of the withdrawal. The Warsaw Pact was formed in 1955 as a response to the creation of NATO in 1949. From the beginning, they viewed NATO as a threat.

Even after U.S. experts helped wreck the post-Soviet Russian economy, the Russians wanted to be our friends.

Some Russians were and are still wary of American motives and actions. Their fears that NATO was not strictly defensive were vindicated during the 1993–1995 Operation Deny Flight, 1995 Operation Deliberate Force, and in 1999 when the Clinton administration used NATO to bomb parts of former Yugoslavia.

The Yugoslavian example was not just a one-off. NATO, which Gorbachev and Yeltsin were assured was defensive, has participated in the occupation of Iraq (2003) and the destruction of Libya (2011) as well.

This aggressive use of a notionally defensive alliance was paired with American diplomatic fecklessness. The U.S violated and canceled Clinton’s 1994 Agreed Framework deal with North Korea and the Founding Act deal with Russia.

In 2002, George W. Bush unilaterally withdrew from the 1972 Anti Ballistic Missile Treaty, which was the result of the SALT I. At the time, Vladimir Putin offered a joint venture to create a universal anti-ballistic missile system in order to avoid a new arms race. The Bush administration rebuffed that offer.

George W. Bush’s 2003 normalization deal with Libya was ignored in 2011, when the Obama administration’s bombing campaign (using NATO) wrecked that country. Libya has not yet recovered.

In 2014, the U.S. supported a coup in Ukraine that ousted President Viktor Yanukovych, who was deemed too friendly with Russia. Russia entered the Donbas to protect the Russian-speaking people who were being attacked by Ukrainian forces. When the Russians encircled the Ukrainian forces in the Battle of Ilovaisk, the West asked for a cease fire, which was codified in the Minsk I agreement. In 2015, the resulting Minsk II agreement was created to end the hostilities.

The Russians complained for years that the Ukrainians were not following the Minsk II  agreement and that the West was arming and integrating the Ukrainian army into NATO. Larry Johnson has published lists of the NATO exercises in and around Ukraine over the past two decades. In 2023 Angela Merkel, who was a lead participant in the Minsk negotiations, admitted they were just buying time to strengthen the Ukraine military to fight Russia. This is a major reason that Russia refuses to be fooled by another ceasefire agreement.

In 2018, the Trump administration unilaterally withdrew from Obama’s 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action with Iran. This treaty was designed to assure the world that Iran was not creating nuclear weapons.

In 2019, the U.S. unilaterally withdrew from the 1987 Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty. That same year, the U.S. government–financed Rand Corporation published a report titled Extending Russia, which is 350 pages of possible actions designed to hurt or weaken Russia.

In 2020, the U.S. unilaterally withdrew from the 1992 Open Skies Treaty, which was intended to create some transparency to the deployment of nuclear forces.

The Russians also do not forget the various color revolutions instigated on their periphery by the U.S. and their proxies.

In December 2021 Russia made a peace offer to stop the advancement of NATO in Ukraine. The U.S. completely ignored it, again assuming the tired pose, “So what are you going to do about it?” Russian leaders are showing the U.S. and the NATO coalition what Russia can and will do. The world has been subjected to a relentless propaganda campaign declaring the Russian economy to be weak and about to collapse, the Russian Federation Army to be ill-trained and ill-equipped, fighting with shovels. The claim that Russia would run out of missiles by the summer of 2022 looks silly now. The Ukrainian Army has steadily lost ground since the failure of the U.S.-orchestrated summer 2023 offensive.

The March/April 2022 Istanbul agreement to end the war in the first weeks was opposed by the West.

In 2022 Victoria Nuland revealed the U.S. supported bio labs in Ukraine.

There is also a list of painful historical experiences which color Russian thinking.

In 1941, when the Nazi German Army invaded the Soviet Union, they crossed what is now Ukraine with their southern thrust towards Stalingrad. More than a million Soviets died defending Stalingrad alone.

The Nazi northern thrust towards the edge of Moscow crossed what is now Poland and Belarus. Napoleon’s army had taken a similar route on its way to Moscow in 1812, and hundreds of thousands of Russians died fighting to drive his army back to France. The Russians suffered nearly one million casualties defending Moscow against the Nazis.

All in all, 26 million Soviet citizens died fighting the Nazis in the Second World War. The Soviet Army was also responsible for approximately 80 percent of the casualties on the Wehrmacht. The U.S. lost over 400,000 Americans in both theaters of the Second World War, which is a huge tragedy, but only a small fraction of the Soviet losses.

The impact that horrific historical experience has had on the Russian psyche is incomprehensible to Americans. Americans still look with horror at the deaths of 3,000 citizens killed on September 11, 2001 and in the 1941 Pearl Harbor attacks. The Soviet World War losses and suffering were many times greater than all of the U.S. losses in all of our wars during the entirety of our 250-year history.

The existence of offensive troops and weapons in Ukraine and Poland represent a real threat to the Russians. It is a visceral fear from a bitter history of invasion, especially the Nazi invasion in 1941, and the monstrous suffering they experienced during that war. The addition of the long history of broken agreements and Western provocations all cause further hesitancy in negotiations.

While it is clear that the Russians have acted badly over the years, one can not dismiss the threats, provocations, and material support for the war provided by the U.S. and NATO as real obstacles to settling the conflict. Scott Horton has recently written an 800-page book describing the decades of U.S. provocations.

In addition to the numerous treaties and agreements the U.S. has broken, American leaders recently inflicted an especially serious blow to the country’s international credibility. During loud calls for cease fires, an end to wars, negotiated settlements, etc., the U.S. is suspected of having enabled a Ukrainian attack deep in Russian territory. This attack promised no serious effect on the Russo–Ukrainian War’s outcome, but it damaged Russian strategic bombers that form a part of the country’s nuclear triad. Imagine if any country staged an attack on a U.S. strategic air command base and damaged American B-52 bombers. There would be a huge outcry for war.

Shortly after that disaster, during negotiations with Iran about its nuclear program, American leadership enabled an Israeli decapitation strike on the leadership of Iran. Many Iranian leaders were killed and more were targeted, including one of the negotiators who was preparing to meet with an American diplomatic team a few days later. Subsequent to the Israeli attack, the U.S., with much fanfare from the usual warmongers, bombed some Iranian nuclear facilities. Is this the way negotiations are going to be conducted in the future?

This kind of behavior violates centuries-old diplomatic norms. After witnessing this devious and destructive behavior, who will trust the U.S. to negotiate in good faith? What does an agreement with the U.S. mean?

Sunny Hostin of ‘The View’ Says ICE Deserves Coming ‘Reckoning’ as Agents Are Being Attacked by Violent Leftists (VIDEO)

Consider this your regular reminder that The View is the biggest garbage fire on television.

This week, as ICE agents were being violently attacked in separate incidents in Texas and California, Sunny Hostin said that the people who work for ICE deserve the ‘reckoning’ that is coming to them.

As you watch the clip below, remember that this show is considered part of the ABC News division. It’s amazing that they allow themselves to be portrayed this way.

NewsBusters reported:

Sunny Hostin Says CBP, ICE Deserve Violent ‘Reckoning’ Coming for Them

In a segment about Alligator Alcatraz, faux conservative Alyssa Farah Griffin blamed President Trump for the death threats immigration enforcement officials were facing. “What I am seeing is an uptick in rhetoric against CBP and ICE enforcers who are dealing with this problem because they’re being told by the President of the United States that they have to,” she lamented…

Upon hearing the story, Hostin immediately launched into seemingly suggesting that the agents deserved it because they wear masks:

If they would do their jobs the way that I think they should be doing their jobs, which is unmasked without disappearing people from the streets, I don’t think that the public would feel as endangered. Because if someone approaches my loved one who is undocumented with a mask, how do I know that they’re actual law enforcement and how do I know they work for ICE? So, that’s one thing I’ll say.

The threat seemed to solidify further when she declared that “in my world, if you mask yourself because you don’t want to be seen…there will be a reckoning for some of the actions that law enforcement, actual law enforcement have done!”

Here’s the clip:

Did you catch that? She actually said: “If they would do their jobs the way that I think they should be doing their jobs…”

ABC News should retire this show. It’s absolutely toxic.

Zohran Mamdani Claims to be Against Billionaires – Has Benefited From Millions Funneled to Left Wing Groups by George Soros

New York City communist and Democrat nominee for mayor, Zohran Mamdani is on the record saying that he does not like billionaires. He said that he doesn’t even think they should exist.

And yet…

It turns out that Mamdani wouldn’t even be in his current position without the help of numerous left wing groups that have received tens of millions from left wing billionaire George Soros over the years.

This news is as predictable as the rising sun.

The New York Post reports:

George Soros funneled $37M to Working Families Party, other lefty groups backing Zohran Mamdani

That’s rich.

Socialist Zohran Mamdani has declared billionaires shouldn’t exist, but it’s unlikely he’d be the front-runner to become the Big Apple’s next mayor if it wasn’t for one — far-left kingmaker George Soros, financial records reviewed by The Post show.

Mamdani recently told NBC News’ “Meet the Press, “I don’t think that we should have billionaires, frankly” while doubling down on his plan to jack up property taxes on “richer and whiter neighborhoods” if elected mayor.

But in less than a decade, Soros’ ultra-woke grant-making network Open Society Foundation has indirectly funneled a combined $37 million to the Working Families Party and at least other nine left-wing groups whose endorsements and get-out-the-vote groundwork played a pivotal role in helping Mamdani upset ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo in the Democratic mayoral primary, the foundation’s records show.

Since 2016, the far-left, socialist-friendly WFP — which helped score Mandani the Democratic line by brokering cross-endorsement deals that squeezed out Cuomo — has pocketed a staggering $23.7 million from Soros through its nonprofit fundraising arm Working Families Organization Inc.

You couldn’t make this up. It’s all a con.

Apparently, his policy on billionaires has some exceptions. Will the people of New York actually fall for this guy?

Charlie Kirk and Rumble CEO Chris Pavlovski Discuss Free Speech and Censorship (VIDEO)

Charlie Kirk speaks with Rumble CEO Chris Pavlovski at Student Action Summit on 7/12/25

Charlie Kirk spoke with Rumble CEO Chris Pavlovski at the Student Action Summit in Tampa, Florida on Saturday about free speech and censorship. Pavlovski explained to Kirk that Rumble has been banned in many places in Europe and also in Brazil.

“Free speech is winning in the last couple of years. Donald Trump ran on free speech, and we voted for free speech in November,” Kirk said.

“Not every country is America. How are you battling for free speech in for example, continental Europe. Are you banned in Europe?” Kirk asked.

“Oh ya. They don’t like us too much,” Pavlovski said.

“What countries are you banned in?” Kirk asked.

“We were first banned in China,” Pavlovski said.

Pavlovski explained that the government of France pressured Rumble to take certain content makers off the site because of their political leanings. Since he refused, the French government banned the site from their country.

“Then the next place to ban us was a place called France. We got a letter from a French minister saying that you need to shut off this creator, this creator and this creator. Not because they violated our policies, but they didn’t like what the creator was saying politically. So, we said no,” Pavlovski continued.

He also explained that Russia did a similar thing to Rumble which also got them banned there too.

“Russia comes to us to ban some creators and we said the same thing, go pound sand, and then Russia bans us in Russia,” Pavlovski continued.

“We are also banned by Brazil, which was a little bit of a longer story,” Pavlovski said.

He also explained that they were suing the government of Brazil for trying to force the company to turn over information of creators that they did not like.

“So, we sued them here in the United States and we got the motion that we wanted out of that and that’s continuing. We filed an injunction,” Pavlovski said.

“It’s really bad out there everywhere in the world right now. There is not a place in the world like United States, and I think that sometimes people forget that what we have here in the United States is not anywhere else in the world at all,” Pavlovski explained.

NEW: Fiscal Year 2025 Duty Collections Top $100 BILLION for First Time in History – June Sees $27 Billion in Tariff Revenue

U.S. customs duty collections topped $100 billion for the first time in history as President Trump’s tariffs generated massive revenue for the country.

New budget data shows that tariff revenues as a share of federal revenue have more than doubled, and tariffs have created a surplus as opposed to a $71 billion deficit in June 2024 under Biden.

The Gateway Pundit recently reported that Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced during a cabinet meeting on Tuesday that the U.S. is on track to bring in over $100 billion in tariff revenue so far this year and potentially “well over” $300 billion by the end of the year.

WATCH: Scott Bessent Says America Already on Track to Take in OVER $100 BILLION in Tariff Revenue This Year – Estimates “Well Over” $300 BILLION by End of Year as CBO Estimates Over $2.8 TRILLION Over 10 Years

This new data comes as President Trump imposes new tariffs on a plethora of countries. As The Gateway Pundit reported, Trump slapped new 30% tariffs on Mexico and the European Union on Friday.

During a meeting with African leaders on Wednesday, President Trump told OANN correspondent Daniel Baldwin, “we’re taking in hundreds of billions of dollars, money that we’ve never seen before.”

WATCH:

Per Reuters:

U.S. customs duty collections surged again in June as President Donald Trump’s tariffs gained steam, topping $100 billion for the first time during a fiscal year and helping to produce a surprise $27 billion budget surplus for the month, the Treasury Department reported on Friday.
The budget data showed that tariffs are starting to build into a significant revenue contributor for the federal government, with customs duties in June hitting new records, quadrupling to $27.2 billion on a gross basis and $26.6 billion on a net basis after refunds.
For the first nine months of fiscal 2025, the customs take reached records of $113.3 billion on a gross basis and $108 billion on a net basis, nearly double the prior-year collections. The government’s fiscal year ends on Sept. 30.
Based on those results, tariffs have now grown into the fourth-largest revenue source for the federal government, behind individual withheld receipts at $2.683 trillion for the fiscal year, non-withheld individual receipts at $965 billion and corporate taxes at $392 billion.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent highlighted the budget surplus on Friday, calling it “another promise kept.”

He said on X, “As President Trump works hard to take back our nation’s economic sovereignty, today’s Monthly Treasury Statement is demonstrating record customs duties – and with no inflation!”

Greg Gutfeld: ‘The Modern Democrat Picks the Wrong Side in Every Contest – Imagine Watching Jaws and Rooting for the Shark’ (VIDEO)

During The Five on Friday, the panel was discussing some of the craziness that took place last week, such as the attack on ICE agents at the pot farm in California.

Greg Gutfeld pointed out that Democrats are now at the point where they routinely pick the wrong side in every situation. He suggests that it all comes down to their way of viewing the entire world as oppressors vs. the oppressed.

He also notes that people need to stop trusting their allies in the media, who get things wrong just as often.

Transcript via Real Clear Politics:

GILLIAN TURNER, FOX NEWS CHANNEL HOST: Well, Greg, everybody said, who was in favor of legalizing marijuana, right? Legalize the pot, legalize the means of distribution, legalize the drug. It’s going to go to see this huge reduction in crime, right?

So, fast forward to these two incidents this week. You’re seeing a marijuana plant that is now facing multiple lawsuits for not paying wages to its illegal workers. You’re seeing them facing an investigation now for using child labor. You had an illegal immigrant on the property who tried to shoot an ICE officer. It’s not looking good.

GREG GUTFELD, FOX NEWS CHANNEL HOST: Come on. You know, these are just like hard working people. Probably honor students. They probably do a lot of volunteer work.

Imagine watching “Jaws” and rooting for the shark. Imagine watching “Night of the Living Dead” and rooting for the zombies. Imagine watching “FOX & FRIENDS” and rooting for Kilmeade.

For some reason, the modern Democrat, the modern progressive, picks the wrong side in every contest, and then they hide behind this shield of false compassion so that they claim, they can claim that they are on the right side. We’re just protecting the juveniles. No, you’re embracing child labor. That’s what Gavin Newsom just did, just like they embraced, you know, a wife beater, the Maryland dad, gang members. Oh, they’re not really there, the twisted men invading women’s safe spaces. Oh, no, no, no, no, no. They’re an oppressed group.

When you play that montage of all those losers, just remember, do not get your news or your polls from them, because they don’t mean a thing. You can claim they’re devastating. You claim the polls that doesn’t mean anything, because it’s not credible. It is not credible. And I’ll tell you why.

The legacy media claimed migrant gangs taking over apartments in Aurora — in Aurora, Colorado, didn’t happen. Now they had to walk it back. The Times did a whole piece on how, my god, Tren de Aragua was in these apartment buildings, and they were terrorizing downtown Aurora.

Of course, there’s the myth building of the Maryland dad, right? Oh no, he’s such an innocent man, and you find it, he’s a wife beater, he’s a human trafficker.

This video is cued to start at the 6:02 mark, so just press play:

It’s amazing how Democrats have put themselves in this position purely through their pathological opposition to Trump. No matter what he says or does, they have to be against it.

Longtime Democrat JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon Completely Trashes Democrats: “They’re Idiots… Big Hearts and Little Brains” – “They do Not Understand how the Real World Works.”

Screenshot: CNBC Television/Youtube

JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon destroyed Democrat voters on Thursday, calling them “idiots,” who “do not understand how the real world works” and have “little brains.”

“I have a lot of friends who are Democrats, and they’re idiots. I always say they have big hearts and little brains,” Dimon said reportedly during a foreign-ministry event in Dublin.

“They do not understand how the real world works. Almost every single policy rolled out failed.”

Fox Business anchor David Asman and contributor Gerry Baker broke down the CEO’s remarks on Friday.

“Kind of reminds you of what Winston Churchill said long ago: ‘If you’re not a socialist when you’re young, you have no heart. If you’re not a conservative when you are old, you’ve got no brain,’” Asman said.

WATCH:

This is not the first time long time Democrat, Dimon, has shredded the Democrats recently.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Dimon slammed California’s far-left leadership while visiting the California branch of Chase Bank that was destroyed in the recent Palisades fire, saying, “I’d change the name of Red Tape to Blue Tape because it’s the Democrats who seem to want more and more regulations.”

“We need good regulations. We need good food. We need good financial system. It’s just not more, more and more. And you see it in everything, permitting and licensing. And there are lessons to be learned. And whether you’re a Democrat or Republican, you should be saying, I want an efficient government,” he added.

EU Globalists CAVE to Trump Administration, and Scrap Plans for Tax on US Digital Companies

Donald J. Trump is flexing his geopolitical muscles like never before.

EU caves, in a win for Trump and the US Tech industry.

While there’s apparent turmoil in the managing of the new reciprocal tariffs by the US Donald J. Trump administration, one cannot help but notice that slowly but surely, ‘hurricane Trump’ is making other countries comply with his demands – including ‘allies’ like the European Union establishment.

The Globalists at the European Commission finally dropped plans to impose a tax on digital companies, in a move that – all agree – translates as a victory for Donald Trump and US tech giants.

Politico reported:

“With the EU and the U.S. embroiled in the final stretch of negotiations over a trade deal, Brussels removed the digital tax option from its ― supposedly unrelated ― list of proposed taxes for bringing in revenue during its next seven-year spending program, according to a document circulated on Friday seen by POLITICO.”

Ursula von der Leyen, weakened by the motion of censure in the European Parliament, is heading the talks for the new budget.

With a weakened Ursula von der Leyen at the helm, the commission is deciding which taxes to include in its budget proposal for 2028-2034.

“Deciding against a digital levy would be a major turn-around for the EU, which as recently as May floated taxing tech giants as a way of paying back the bloc’s debt. The idea was mentioned in a document on the next budget discussed by the EU’s 27 commissioners.

The U-turn could be a strategic move by the EU, which is desperate for advantageous terms on trade with the U.S. President Donald Trump threatened tariffs against Canada as payback for their digital levies.”

The EU wants to raise its taxes to pay for ‘covid recovery’.

The European nations are not keen on Brussels raising taxes on their citizens, with way too much autonomy over how they spend it.

As of today, most EU funds come from governments’ contributions.

“According to Friday’s document, instead of a digital levy it wants to propose three new taxes targeting electric waste, tobacco products and large companies in the EU with a turnover of over €50 million. The aim is to generate from €25 to €30 billion per year that will be used to repay EU joint debt that was used to finance its post-Covid recovery.”
