27-year-old Julian Ryan made a heroic sacrifice, giving his life to save his fiancée, their two young children, and his mother as sudden, catastrophic flash floods swamped their trailer home near the banks of the Guadalupe River.

According to Ryan’s fiancée, Christina Wilson, water began flooding their home shortly after 4 a.m.

“It just started pouring in and we had to fight the door to get it closed to make sure not too much got in,” Wilson told WLOX. “We went back to the room and started calling 911.”

With water rising to waist level, Julian made a desperate decision. He punched through a window to create an escape route, an action that severed a major artery in his arm. Despite repeated 911 calls, first responders were delayed and unable to arrive in time.

As he bled heavily, Julian gathered his strength to comfort his loved ones one last time.

“By six, my husband was dead. He had lost all of his blood. He looked at me and the kids and my mother-in-law and said, ‘I’m sorry, I’m not going to make it. I love y’all,’” she said.

Within minutes, the water surged in with such force it tore the trailer apart—allowing Christina, the children, and his mother to escape to safety. Ryan’s body was found hours later as floodwaters receded.

Friends and family describe Julian as a warm, selfless man with an infectious smile. “He is the hero in this story,” said sister Connie Salas.

Americans on Monday morning got a chance to see the recent Israel–Iran war through an unfamiliar lens: the Iranian government’s.

The conservative journalist Tucker Carlson interviewed Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, who depicted Israel as a belligerent rogue state and urged President Donald Trump not to let the U.S. be dragged into “forever wars” in the Middle East. Last month, Trump authorized strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities and then pushed Tehran and Jerusalem toward a ceasefire. 

Asked about the conflict, Pezeshkian said, “We did not start this war, and we do not want this war to continue in any way.” 

Pezeshkian said that Israel, by launching a war of aggression against Iran, destroyed talks between Washington and Tehran over the Iranian nuclear program. “Israel torpedoed the negotiating table,” Pezehskian said. “We were sitting at the negotiating table when it happened, and by doing this, they totally ruined and destroyed diplomacy.” 

The Iranian leader observed that Israel’s strikes killed off-duty military commanders, nuclear scientists, and their families. And he said that Israel tried to assassinate even him, observing that it had bombarded an area in which he was holding a meeting. Pezeshkian, a reformist who has advocated engagement with the West, struck a defiant note, saying, “I am not afraid of sacrificing myself in defense of my country.”   

Pezeshkian denied claims that Tehran has tried to assassinate Trump, saying that Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had put the idea into Americans’ minds. He also denied that Tehran is building nuclear weapons, emphasizing that Iran’s supreme leader has issued a religious decree prohibiting the development and use of nuclear weapons.

The interview aired Monday morning. After Carlson teased it Saturday, Iran hawks in America and Israel slammed him for “platforming” a U.S. adversary. The talk show host Mark Levin called Carlson an “incoherent buffoon” and a “toady for our enemies.” Carlson has said that Levin is among the pro-Israel voices pushing Trump to wage war against Iran.

Zohran Mamdani proposes literal communism for housing in New York City: a real threat to private property and the free market

Socialism is no longer hiding behind feel-good phrases or idealistic speeches. In New York City, Democratic candidate Zohran Mamdani has made it clear he wants to push his economic vision to the extreme: eliminate the free market and replace it with full-blown communism, starting with housing. His recent statements are as alarming as they are revealing, and should concern not only New York voters but the entire country.

Mamdani wants to create Community Land Trusts to gradually buy private housing and convert it into “community property.” In other words, absorb or confiscate the wealth of thousands of homeowners under the guise of social justice. On top of that, he proposes giving tenants the right of first refusal to buy their buildings when they go on sale — a surefire way to drive away real estate investment and kill private initiative.

And that’s not all. His plan includes removing subsidies for luxury developments — which often help fund public services and improve city infrastructure — and redirecting that wealth to build “social housing.” In practice, this would mean state-run projects with excessive regulation and little quality control. History has proven these centralized solutions lead to decay, not thriving communities.

These aren’t just vague theories. Mamdani openly admits that his political goal is “to take control of the means of production,” a line taken straight from the communist playbook. This mindset has no place in a city that owes its prosperity to commerce, entrepreneurship, and individual liberty.

Mamdani wants to implement this communist agenda in the financial capital of the world. Could there be anything more ironic? The very city that stands as a monument to free enterprise would be run by someone who despises it. If he succeeds, he won’t just damage New York — he’ll set a dangerous precedent for cities across America.

As National Review points out, his plans extend beyond housing to include grocery stores, utilities, and more — all showing a clear pattern of total state control. These ideas have failed miserably in Venezuela, Cuba, and the former Soviet Union. Importing them into New York is not just foolish, it’s a betrayal of everything that made the city great.

Behind every one of his promises is a profound misunderstanding of economics. Mamdani doesn’t grasp how value is created, how supply and demand work, or why competition matters. He believes everything can be replaced with committees and state control, ignoring that free markets are what enable innovation, diversity, and well-being.

Worst of all, this socialist narrative is being normalized within the Democratic Party. If Mamdani becomes mayor, he will not only endanger New York’s future — he’ll become the ultimate example of why we need markets and must reject communism at all costs.

For the first time since the US-Houthis deal was announced in May, a merchant vessel has been attacked in the Red Sea near the Yemeni port of Al-Hudaydah.

Yesterday (6), the Magic Seas, a Greek-operated bulk carrier, was first hit by small arms gunfire, then attacked with drones and missiles in the Red Sea.

The vessel’s crew were forced to abandon the vessel and were rescued by a passing ship, maritime security firms said, in an attack confirmed by UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) and resembling an action of Houthi militants.

Reuters reported:

“The assault, off the southwest coast of Yemen, on the Liberian-flagged vessel Magic Seas, was the first such incident reported in the vital shipping corridor since mid-April.

The ship was first targeted by gunfire and self-propelled grenades launched from eight small boats, with armed security on the ship returning fire, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) and British security firm Ambrey said in advisories.

Officials at maritime security company Diaplous and Ambrey, in a separate advisory, said the ship was later attacked by four Unmanned Surface Vehicles and targeted with missiles.”

Two of the maritime drones hit the ship, damaging the cargo and resulting in a fire onboard.

“The boat had taken on water and its crew were forced to abandon it, maritime security sources said. […] All crew were safe after being rescued by a passing merchant vessel, UKMTO said.”

While no group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack, the Magic Seas meets the ‘established Houthi target profile’.

General Michael Flynn, former National Security Advisor and decorated U.S. Army General, released a scathing memorandum directed at the Trump administration, igniting new calls for accountability in the biggest political scandal in modern U.S. history: the Russia-Gate hoax.

In a fiery statement posted to X, Flynn blasted the total lack of accountability for what he called an attempted “overthrow” of the United States presidency orchestrated by top Obama-era officials.

“We the people are fed up with having tons more evidence come out regarding Russia-Gate yet sadly, no one is getting arrested,” Flynn wrote.

“Hell, there doesn’t even appear to be an investigation even though they tried to overthrow the presidency of these United States!”

Flynn called out former Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and disgraced former CIA Director John Brennan by name, accusing them of engineering a political hit job to destroy President Trump and his allies.

“When will people be held accountable for undermining and in some cases, falsely imprisoning people based on a @HillaryClinton, @BarackObama and @JohnBrennan political hit job?” Flynn demanded. “We’re waiting…”

“No, we will not let go of this crime nor those who perpetrated it against the American people,” he concluded.

The former General’s warning comes as CIA Director John Ratcliffe confirmed last week that Obama-era officials — specifically CIA Director John Brennan, DNI James Clapper, and disgraced FBI Director James Comey — knowingly used the phony Steele Dossier to frame Trump in the now-discredited “Russia Collusion” witch hunt.

According to a newly released CIA report, the 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA), the document that fueled years of media hysteria and two bogus impeachment attempts, was rushed, manipulated, and politically motivated.

Miranda Devine at The New York Post summarized the damning findings:

• The ICA excluded key intelligence agencies to push a biased narrative
• It was compiled under extreme pressure and “stringent compartmentation”
• Brennan, Comey, and Clapper personally inserted themselves in an “unusual and risky” fashion
• Leaks to the media were possibly used to pressure analysts to support a false Trump-Russia collusion narrative

In short, the entire U.S. intelligence community was hijacked to serve the political vendetta of the Obama-Clinton cabal.

Investigative journalist Paul Sperry further revealed that Obama’s fingerprints are “ALL OVER” the scheme — confirming what President Trump himself has long said.

Back in 2019, Trump told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos:

“I would say [Obama] certainly must have known about it because it went very high up in the chain… I think it’s gonna come out.”

And it has.

Yet no arrests. No indictments. No accountability. Instead, the same swamp creatures who conspired to sabotage Trump’s presidency are still walking free — appearing on cable news panels and enjoying cushy book deals.

The American people deserve better.

President Trump’s new administration must take decisive action. The time for patience is over. As General Flynn put it: “We’re waiting.”

Mental Health Courts: America’s $1 Billion Revolving Door of Crime and Corruption

Mental health courts were introduced as a solution to the rising number of people diagnosed with and treated for mental illnesses in the criminal justice system. The promise was that these courts would reduce crime, save tax dollars, and offer humane alternatives to incarceration. In reality, mental health courts have become a revolving door, letting dangerous offenders back into communities, driven by subjective diagnosing and forced medication, while the behavioral health industry profits at public expense.

The label of “mental illness” in these courts is highly subjective and elastic. There is no objective test for any psychiatric diagnosis; definitions shift and criteria expand based on professional opinion and institutional priorities. If committing a crime is taken as proof of an unhealthy state of mind, then where is the line drawn? Couldn’t one argue all criminals are mentally ill? This logic blurs the distinction between criminality and mental illness, effectively medicalizing crime itself and undermining the justice system.

This subjectivity of the diagnosis gives psychiatry the power to label defendants, decide who is diverted, and who receives privacy protections and alternative sentencing. The result is a parallel justice system where due process is replaced by bureaucratic intervention, and legal responsibility is traded for a medical label that can be manipulated to serve institutional interests.  From its inception, psychiatry has been an experiment imposed on humanity—repeatedly carried out without true consent.   Nothing is new under the sun, no matter how one dresses it up.   If something has to be explained as “evidence-based” or “science-based,” it usually isn’t. Somehow society has allowed this clearly anti-human industry that believes man is made up of chemicals that can be tweaked, to become “experts” in our schools, churches, and courts.

Despite the rhetoric, mental health courts have failed to reduce recidivism in any meaningful way. The data is clear: more than 50% of mental health court participants commit new crimes after leaving the program. One major study found that nearly 54% of all mental health court defendants were rearrested after leaving the program, with an average time to rearrest of just 15 months. Even among those who completed the court program, nearly 40% were rearrested, while those who did not complete the course the rate soared to nearly 75%. These data expose the reality: mental health courts are not a path to rehabilitation—they are a revolving door that fails to protect the public.

A central component of these programs is the forced use of mind-altering psychiatric drugs as a condition of release. These medications carry serious adverse behavioral side effects, including agitation, aggression, and increased risk of violent behavior. Instead of addressing root causes or perhaps even exploring an offenders basic reading level and/or a level of willingness to reform themselves, the system relies on a one-size-fits-all approach dictated by industry standards and court mandates, trading one danger for another.

Offenders in mental health courts are often granted greater privacy protections than other criminal offenders, shielding court records and treatment details from public scrutiny. This lack of transparency allows mistakes and abuse to go unchecked and creates a two-tiered system where justice depends on a label, not the law. Participation is frequently coerced: defendants are pressured to plead guilty and accept mental health treatment under threat of harsher prosecution, stripping them of true choice and due process.

Who benefits from this system? The behavioral health industry. Billions in taxpayer dollars are funneled to providers who have every incentive to keep the system running, regardless of outcomes. The public foots the bill, while communities see little improvement in safety or justice.

What is the price tag of the dual mental health court system? As of 2023, there are more than 300 mental health courts operating in nearly every state in the U.S., with some estimates placing the number at over 650 when including both adult and juvenile courts. According to the National Institute of Justice and other sources, the total annual cost of mental health courts and their associated treatment programs exceeds $1 billion nationwide. This staggering sum covers court operations, mandated treatment, monitoring, and administrative overhead—money that flows straight into the pockets of the behavioral health industry.

The mental health court program has not delivered on its promises. With over half of participants reoffending and a system built on subjective diagnosis, forced medication, and lack of accountability, these courts are not a solution—they are a dangerous experiment. The only consistent winners are those who profit from the system’s failures, while public safety and real justice are left behind.

And perhaps most disturbing is the role of psychiatrists and so-called “experts” who perform in front of the bench, making sweeping and often unsubstantiated claims about who is or isn’t mentally ill. The process for determining mental illness is arbitrary, lacking scientific rigor or consistency, and often based on nothing more than opinion or institutional convenience. It is a spectacle that strips the court of its integrity and turns justice into a farce. It is, quite simply, unpalatable—and judges should be outraged. More importantly it removes criminal responsibility from offenders.

A far-left activist in Houston has been booted from the city’s Food Insecurity Board after outrage erupted over a vile, racially charged TikTok rant mocking a Christian summer camp where several young girls were swept away during devastating floods in Texas.

Sade Perkins, a 2023 appointee of former Democrat Mayor Sylvester Turner, mocked the tragedy in a now-viral TikTok video by labeling Camp Mystic — a private Christian girls’ retreat in the Texas Hill Country — as a “white-only girls’ camp.”

The timing could not have been more grotesque. Young campers and a counselor are still missing, and at least 82 people are confirmed dead after the Guadalupe River exploded 26 feet in 45 minutes, sweeping cabins, staff, and children downstream.

Sade Perkins: “I know I’m probably going to get canceled for this, but Camp Mystic is a white-only girls’ Christian camp. They don’t even have a token Asian. They don’t have a token Black person. It is an all-white, white-only, conservative Christian camp.

If you ain’t white, you ain’t right. You ain’t getting in. You ain’t going—period.

I think that context needs to be said in this matter. It’s not to say that we don’t want the girls to be found—whatever girls are missing or whatever right now. But you best believe, especially in today’s political climate, if this were a group of Hispanic girls—especially with them being in East Texas, where it would most likely be Hispanic—this would not be getting the type of attention that it’s getting. No one would give a fuck.

And all these white people—the parents of these little girls—would be saying things like, “They need to be deported. They shouldn’t have been here in the first place,” and yada, yada, yada.

So before y’all come at me, before y’all start leaving hate comments on my page about, “Oh, these are just kids and they don’t know no better…”

The parents of these children are choosing—and it is a choice in 2025—it is definitely a freaking choice to go into East goddamn Texas and make an all-white enclave, exclusionary just for white people. With all the Black people in East Texas, with all the Hispanic people in East Texas, somehow, some way, you have carved out an all-white, whites-only enclave in East Texas for your white children.

Yeah, I have a problem with that. I have a big problem with that.

Once again, this is no shade to the girls. I hope they all get found. But once again, y’all have to understand the climate that we’re living in. They want you to have sympathy for these people. They want you to get out of your bed and come out of your home to go find these people, to donate your money to go find these people.

Meanwhile, they are deporting your family members. Meanwhile, they’re setting up concentration camps in prisons for your family members. And I need y’all to keep that in mind before you get out there, put on your rain boots, and go find these little girls.”

Democrat Mayor John Whitmire’s office condemned Perkins’ rant as “deeply inappropriate” while families search riverbanks for their daughters’ bodies. He ordered her permanent removal from the advisory board, vowing never to reappoint her.

“The comments shared on social media are deeply inappropriate and have no place in a decent society, especially as families grieve the confirmed deaths and the ongoing search for the missing. The individual who made these statements is not a City of Houston employee.

“She was appointed to the City’s Food Insecurity Board by former Mayor Sylvester Turner in 2023, and her term expired in January 2025. Mayor John Whitmire has no plans to reappoint her, and the City is taking immediate steps to remove her permanently from the board,” according to the mayor’s office.

Rather than apologize, Perkins whined that she was being “canceled,” claiming the real outrage should be the campers’ alleged “privilege.” She even blasted Whitmire—insinuating he hasn’t “done a thing” about food insecurity, according to the Houston Chronicle.

The news outlet reported:

“Perkins, who confirmed the video was hers in an interview with the Houston Chronicle on Sunday, said that she wasn’t saying the victims deserved what happened to them or that they shouldn’t be found. She added she has received racist comments on her video.

She added that “these same MAGA Christians” would be “thrilled” if the victims “floating down that river” were LGTBQ.

In response to her removal from the city board, Perkins said Whitmire hasn’t done anything in regard to food insecurity, that it wasn’t his priority and that the board wasn’t doing much.”

In response to the comment, “Girl, you brought this upon yourself. Freedom of speech doesn’t mean freedom from consequences,”

Perkins replied, “Consequences for what? Maybe it was God’s will to wash those little c***s away.”

Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard has accused a longtime reporter from The Washington Post of “actively harassing” her staff.

In a stunning post published to the social media platform X on Thursday, the top Trump administration official accused reporter Ellen Nakashima of harassing her staff through the use of a burner phone.

Nakashima is a Pulitzer Prize winner who’s been with the Post since 1995.

“It has come to my attention that Washington Post reporter @nakashimae appears to be actively harassing ODNI staff,” Gabbard wrote in her post.

“Instead of reaching out to my press office, she is calling high level Intelligence Officers from a burner phone, refusing to identify herself, lying about the fact that she works for the Washington Post, and then demanding they share sensitive information,” she added.

Gabbard continued by taking a swipe at the Post over its history of publishing leaked classified intelligence.

“Apparently, publishing leaked classified material wasn’t enough for the Washington Post, so now they’ve decided to go after the Intelligence professionals charged to protect it,” she wrote.

“This is a clear political op by the same outlet and the same reporter who harassed and stalked my family in Hawaii,” she added.

As the Post’s national security reporter, Nakashima has written dozens of posts about Gabbard over the last couple of years alone.

Gabbard concluded her post by slamming the Post over its “deranged behavior.”

“This kind of deranged behavior reflects a media establishment so desperate to sabotage @POTUS’s successful agenda that they’ve abandoned even a facade of journalistic integrity and ethics,” she wrote. “The Washington Post should be ashamed, and they should put an end to this immediately.”

Nakashima’s allies have since rushed to her defense, including former Post reporter David Weigel:

The Post’s executive director, Matt Murray, meanwhile issued a lengthy statement to The Hill calling Gabbard’s post “unfounded” and saying it “reflects a fundamental misunderstanding about the role of journalists to report on government officials and hold power to account, without fear or favor and regardless of party.”

“For three decades, Ellen Nakashima has been one of the most careful, fair-minded, and highly regarded reporters covering national security,” he said.

“Reaching out to potential sources rather than relying solely on official government press statements regarding matters of public interest is neither nefarious nor is it harassment. It is basic journalism,” he added.

But according to investigative journalist Mollie Hemingway, Nakashima has a history of shady “journalistic” behavior.

She noted in a report published in The Federalist five years ago about how Nakashima had accepted leaks from the intelligence community in early 2017 that were designed “to get [then-National Security Advisor Michael] Flynn” fired.

Speaking of Flynn, he responded to Gabbard’s stunning post by posting one of his own calling for the Post to be “shut down.”

“The WAPO should be shut down,” he wrote. “Take any and all taxpayer funds from them and all of their reporters. Do not allow them entrance to any USG facility without an escort. Do not allow anyone in the entire USIC to take any of their questions or to do any interviews with them. There’s more, but for now that’s enough.”

President Donald Trump unleashed a scathing statement on Truth Social Sunday night, slamming billionaire Elon Musk for going “completely off the rails” with the announcement of his new political movement, the “America Party.”

In a fiery post, Trump criticized Musk’s move as reckless and disruptive, warning that third parties have never succeeded in America and only serve to fracture the conservative movement while helping the radical left.

Musk’s abrupt launch of the “America Party” stunned conservatives this Independence Day weekend, just days after President Trump and Republicans scored a major legislative victory by passing what Trump calls “the biggest Bill of its kind in the History of our Country.”

The landmark legislation includes a provision repealing Biden’s draconian electric vehicle (EV) mandate—a policy Musk had once supported.

Trump didn’t stop there. He revealed details of a private conversation with Musk in which the tech mogul expressed full support for Trump’s opposition to forced EV adoption, even endorsing Trump’s campaign. The President said he was “very surprised” by Musk’s about-face.

Trump wrote on Truth Social:

“I am saddened to watch Elon Musk go completely “off the rails,” essentially becoming a TRAIN WRECK over the past five weeks.

He even wants to start a Third Political Party, despite the fact that they have never succeeded in the United States – The System seems not designed for them.

The one thing Third Parties are good for is the creation of Complete and Total DISRUPTION & CHAOS, and we have enough of that with the Radical Left Democrats, who have lost their confidence and their minds! Republicans, on the other hand, are a smooth running “machine,” that just passed the biggest Bill of its kind in the History of our Country.

It is a Great Bill but, unfortunately for Elon, it eliminates the ridiculous Electric Vehicle (EV) Mandate, which would have forced everyone to buy an Electric Car in a short period of time. I have been strongly opposed to that from the very beginning.

People are now allowed to buy whatever they want – Gasoline Powered, Hybrids (which are doing very well), or New Technologies as they come about – No more EV Mandate.

I have campaigned on this for two years and, quite honestly, when Elon gave me his total and unquestioned Endorsement, I asked him whether or not he knew that I was going to terminate the EV Mandate – It was in every speech I made, and in every conversation I had. He said he had no problems with that – I was very surprised!

Additionally, Elon asked that one of his close friends run NASA and, while I thought his friend was very good, I was surprised to learn that he was a blue blooded Democrat, who had never contributed to a Republican before. Elon probably was, also.

I also thought it inappropriate that a very close friend of Elon, who was in the Space Business, run NASA, when NASA is such a big part of Elon’s corporate life. My Number One charge is to protect the American Public!”
