ICE Arrests MS-13 Member and Fentanyl Dealer in Providence, RI – Local Officials Worried That Police May Have Assisted (VIDEO)

This week, ICE arrested a man in Providence, Rhode Island who is a member of the MS-13 gang and a known dealer of fentanyl. Sounds like a pretty solid arrest, right?

In an absolutely bizarre turn of events, the Democrat leaders of the city are deeply concerned that local police may have assisted ICE. They’re even suggesting that this will be investigated.

This is absolute madness.

WPRI News in RI reported:

Mayor Brett Smiley characterized the incident as “complex,” but said that the incident remains under review.

“I’m interested in making sure that our community knows that Providence police are there to protect them, that they will not cooperate or sere as immigration agents, and that preliminarily, we believe that policy was followed in that instance, although it certainly was jarring video that I saw,” Smiley said at an unrelated news conference on Tuesday. “But upon closer review and understanding the full context of the circumstance, it feels like… it seems like at the initial outset, that Providence police acted in accordance with our existing policy.”

Miller said she appreciated that there is a review underway, but added that she wanted PERA to examine the incident because they are a third-party in the situation.

See below:

A Democrat lawmaker in the state also criticized ICE for the arrest, calling them the gestapo.

Democrats seem to think illegal aliens are their real constituents. How else can this be explained?

BEYOND PARODY: The Steve Miller Band Cancels All Remaining Tour Dates Due to Climate Change

The classic rock group known as the Steve Miller Band has announced that they are canceling all remaining dates on their current tour because of the weather, or more specifically, the ‘extreme’ weather conditions brought about by climate change.

Rock and roll just isn’t what it used to be, apparently.

The group made the announcement on Twitter/X.

Variety reports:

Steve Miller Band Cancels All Tour Dates Due to Recent Weather Disasters

The calamitous weather of recent years has taken many lives, caused billions of dollars’ worth of damage and is changing the climate and economies of countries all over the globe. But the Steve Miller Band’s 2025 North American tour may be the first to be canceled due to the ongoing trend of climate change-inducted weather disasters, rather than any single event.

The band has canceled all 31 scheduled dates of its American tour, which was slated to begin Aug. 15 in Bethel, NY and traverse the entire country before concluding in Anaheim, Calif. on Nov. 8.

The band made the announcement in a straightforward tone familiar to fans of the 81-year-old veteran singer, songwriter and guitarist and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member, whose career stretches back to the mid-1960s and has released such classic rock anthems as “The Joker,” “Fly Like an Eagle,” “Jet Airliner,” “Take the Money and Run” and many more.

See the band’s tweet below:

Needless to say, people are not impressed.

Maybe it’s just time for the band to retire.

Burn It Down, Build It Back Woke: Newsom to Dump Low-Income Housing in Million-Dollar Pacific Palisades Neighborhood

California Governor Gavin Newsom has unveiled a plan to build low-income housing to replace property destroyed by the January 2025 Southern California wildfires.

Newsom’s plan will put low-income housing in the heart of the rolling hills of Pacific Palisades, a highly affluent area of Los Angeles that overlooks the Santa Monica Bay.

The priority is for “geographic proximity to the fire perimeters of the Eaton, Hughes, and Palisades fires,” Newsom explained.

The California Department of Housing and Community Development’s Notice of Funding Availability for the $101 million pool details how funding will be awarded.

Included is $101 million in funding for multifamily low-incoming housing. Such projects must allocate 40% of its units for the homeless, or individuals who have spent at least 15 days in jails, hospitals, prisons, and institutions for mental illness.

Jennifer Seeger, the HCD deputy director of the Division of State Financial Assistance, stated that Newsom’s grants will make “funds more accessible to support the development of safe, fire-resilient multifamily low-income housing that will provide long-term stability, protect vulnerable populations, and contribute to a more equitable and resilient Los Angeles.”

The plan includes scoring preference for projects that are closer to the fire burn radius, have local government funding commitments, and are ready to start construction within 180 days of awarded funds.

It’s also possible to stack funding, contractors could utilize multiple programs within the grant to increase their project’s portion of grant-funded low-income housing units, which Newsom hopes will incentivize a greater supply of low-income housing to completed.

The State also released their MFSN Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) in February 2025 providing $382 million for development of affordable multifamily rental housing, which contractors could also leverage.

Newsom has also cut back some of California’s notorious red-tape on development to expedite construction. He additionally signed an executive order to remove certain permitting barriers for building homes and schools, accelerate permit approval, as well as delaying changes to the state’s building codes.

The debris removal effort was completed earlier this month, setting a record for the fastest disaster clean-up in American history. 16,000 first responders and recovery personnel have participated in the cleanup efforts.

Rare for California projects, this effort was completed ahead of schedule.

Local officials met with Newsom to unveil a blueprint for recovery, with step-by-step plans to accelerate rebuilding. The plan proports to focus on community needs, provide financial support to “cover gaps”, and ensure critical infrastructure is in place, and undergrounding powerlines.

“By prioritizing affordable housing projects that are ready to go, these funds will accelerate household stability, climate and health outcomes in communities,” said Tomiquia Moss, secretary of the California Business, Consumer Services and Housing Agency

In the end, Newsom’s grand scheme isn’t about rebuilding, it’s about reshaping California into a socialist playground, forcing affluent communities to foot the bill for his virtue-signaling experiments.

Florida Defends Immigration Sovereignty Amid False Accusations

Recently, Democratic Representative Maxwell Frost visited an immigrant detention center in the Everglades, Florida, denouncing conditions he called a “moral atrocity” and a “detention camp.” However, from the Republican perspective and the administration of President Donald J. Trump, this facility represents a necessary, responsible, and just effort to protect security, sovereignty, and order in managing migration on the southern border.

A Responsible Measure in the Face of the Migration Crisis

Marco Rubio Calls New Israeli Bombing ‘a Misunderstanding,’ Calls for ‘De-Escalation’

As a wave of Israeli attacks on Syrian forces rocks the fragile crust of a Middle East peace, Secretary of State Marco Rubio is trying to stop a full-scale war from erupting.

After two days of Israeli attacks on Syrian forces, Rubio said he was hopeful the attacks would stop.

“It’s complicated, obviously. These are historic, longtime rivalries between different groups in the southwest of Syria — Bedouins, the Druze community — and it led to an unfortunate situation and a misunderstanding, it looks like, between the Israeli side and the Syrian side,” Rubio said in a video posted to X.

“So we’ve been engaged with them all morning long and all night long, with both sides, and we think we’re on our way towards a real de-escalation,” he said.

“And then hopefully get back on track in helping Syria build a country and arriving at a situation there in the Middle East that’s far more stable. So, in the next few hours, we hope to see some real progress to end what you’ve been seeing over the last couple hours,” he said.

Most of Syria is Muslim, but the Druze have their own faith. Last year, after a Muslim-controlled government took power, Druze communities expressed their fears that they could become targets of the new regime, which has said it seeks to respect all faiths, and sought to be annexed by Israel, which has its own Druze communities.

On Wednesday, as Rubio spoke in Washington, Syrian and Druze leaders said they had reached a cease-fire, according to NBC. That came after Israeli air strikes hit targets in the Syrian capital of Damascus.

Announcement of the cease-fire drew skepticism from Druze leaders in Syria, according to the Times of Israel.

Israeli President Isaac Herzog sounded an aggressive note on the subject Wednesday as Israeli attacks continued.

“Israel does not stand idly by when there is even the potential for a jihadist threat over the border,” he said.

“Second, Israel does not stand idly by when our allies and family members of Israelis – the sons and daughters of the Druze community, an integral part of us – are under attack and in danger of a horrific massacre,” he said.

Israel’s intervention was precipitated by attacks on the Druze from Muslim Bedouin clans near the city of Sweida that left almost 100 dead, according to the Times of Israel.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said in a statement, “Israel is committed to preventing harm to the Druze in Syria due to the deep brotherly alliance with our Druze citizens in Israel, and their familial and historical ties to the Druze in Syria, and we are acting to prevent the Syrian regime from harming them, and to ensure the demilitarization of the area adjacent to our border with Syria.”

The advance of Syrian troops into the region violated “the demilitarization policy that was decided, prohibiting the entry of forces and weapons into southern Syria that endanger Israel,” the statement said.

Syrian Interior Ministry spokesperson Noureddine Al-Baba said, the “clashes are fundamentally not sectarian in nature.”

“The real conflict is between the state and bandits and criminals, not between the state and any Syrian community,” he said. “On the contrary, the state views the Druze community in Sweida as a partner in advancing the national unity project.”

Jane’s Addiction’s Members Sue Singer Perry Farrell for $10 Million Over 2024 Incident in Which He Punched Guitarist Dave Navarro Onstage and Collapsed Their Reunion Tour (VIDEO)

California rockers from Jane’s Addiction had planned a 33-date Reunion Tour in North America to celebrate their 40 years as a raw, seminal band.

But it all came crashing down in September, when singer Perry Farrell, frustrated with his own failing voice, assaulted guitarist Dave Navarro in an ugly scene, causing not only the show to be suspended, but the whole tour to be cancelled, since Navarro wrote: ‘we can see no solution that would either ensure a safe environment on stage or reliably allow us to deliver a great performance on a nightly basis’.

Today (16), it arises that Jane’s Addiction members Dave Navarro, Eric Avery and Stephen Perkins have filed a millionaire lawsuit against singer Perry Farrell.

Hollywood Reporter reported:

“Navarro, Avery and Perkins are seeking $10 million in damages, stating that’s how much they’d lost after the incident forced the cancellation. The band’s claims include intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligence breach of fiduciary duty and breach of contract, while claims from Navarro specifically include allegations of assault and battery over the incident.”

Farrell attacks Navarro in the middle of the show.

“’Plaintiffs Dave Navarro, Eric Avery and Stephen Perkins were forced to bring this action after defendant Peretz Bernstein p/k/a Perry Farrell assaulted Navarro onstage, mid-show, during the Jane’s Addiction 33-date North American reunion tour’, attorney Chris Frost wrote in the lawsuit Wednesday, adding that Farrell’s attack continued backstage. ‘The attack became a terminal inflection point for Jane’s Addiction (the Band) and each plaintiff’.”

In the suit, filed in Los Angeles, it is claimed that after the incident Farrell was ‘apologetic’, but soon he and his spouse Etty Lau Farrell were shifting the blame to the band.

Jane’s Addiction was working on a new album to be distributed through Warner Music Group’s ADA. And now, all of them will potentially be o personally liable for repayment of the advance to the record company.

The band members lament that ‘history will remember the band as suffering a swift and painful death at the hands of Farrell’s unprovoked anger and complete lack of self-control’.

President Trump Goes Off on Governor “Newscum,” Cancels Funding for California’s Failed $130 Billion “High Speed Train to Nowhere”

President Trump went off on California Governor Gavin “Newscum” and announced he is officially canceled funding for the state’s “failed” high speed railroad to nowhere.

“To the Law abiding, Tax paying, Hardworking Citizens of the United States of America, I am thrilled to announce that I have officially freed you from funding California’s disastrously overpriced, “HIGH SPEED TRAIN TO NOWHERE.” This boondoggle, led by the incompetent Governor of California, Gavin Newscum, has cost Taxpayers Hundreds of Billions of Dollars, and we have received NOTHING in return except Cost Overruns. The Railroad we were promised still does not exist, and never will. This project was Severely Overpriced, Overregulated, and NEVER DELIVERED. Thanks to Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, not a SINGLE penny in Federal Dollars will go towards this Newscum SCAM ever again. This was an ill-conceived and unnecessary project, and a total waste of Taxpayer money — But no more!” Trump said on Truth Social.

Earlier this year President Trump said that he will launch an investigation into California’s High-Speed Rail project.

Trump blasted the project as “the worst managed project I’ve ever seen,” hinting at what many conservatives have known all along: this boondoggle is nothing but a colossal waste of taxpayer money.

Trump said from the Oval Office in February:

The California High-Speed Rail Authority (CHSRA) has attempted to defend the project’s progress in a post on X, citing the completion of 50 major structures, 60 miles of guideway, and the creation of 14,600 jobs.

Originally greenlit by the voters with the promise of linking Los Angeles to San Francisco in a modern, efficient bullet train system for a mere $33 billion with a completion date set for four years ago, the project has ballooned to an eyewatering $128 to $130 billion, with no clear completion date in sight, according to abc30.

The current CEO, who came on board last summer, recently claimed that the high speed train might be finished in twenty years. That would be the year 2045.

Violent Riots Explode in Spanish Town After Pack of African Migrants Savagely Beat Elderly Man

Riots have broken out in the southeastern Spanish town of Torre Pacheco, leading to the arrest of 14 men. This small town of 40,000 has a large immigrant population, which has been a source of discontent for locals.

Anti-migrant unrest erupted after a 68-year-old pensioner, Domingo Tomás Domínguez, was beaten up—allegedly “just for fun”—during his morning walk by three Maghrebi youths.

Domínguez told Spanish media that he was thrown to the ground and was not asked to hand over his money or belongings, nor could he understand the language they were speaking.

The three people arrested on suspicion of attacking the pensioner are all of Moroccan origin, in their early 20s, and none are residents of Torre Pacheco.

One of the suspects was arrested on Monday as he attempted to board a train in the Basque region to flee across the border to France.

Photos of the old man’s bruised face circulated on social media, sparking public outrage that led to the chaos.

Vigilance groups of men armed with batons could be seen roaming the streets of Torre Pacheco, reportedly seeking to protect the public from migrant attacks.

Unrest escalated when an extremist group called “Deport Them Now” called for attacks on North African men in a message on their Telegram channel. Authorities reached out to Telegram to ban the channel, but the message had already been received by the time the account was terminated.

Riots occurred over the weekend, when groups of hooded Spanish youths attacked vehicles and businesses owned by Moroccans. CCTV footage shown on Spanish television depicted a mob armed with bats and sticks vandalizing a shawarma shop.

Clashes were also reported between members of Deport Them Now and people of North African origin.

On Sunday night, journalists witnessed several dozen youths hurling glass bottles and other objects at nearly 130 riot police who were deployed from nearby provinces to quell the violence.

A leading member of the extremist group, whose name has been withheld, was detained in the northeastern town of Mataró on suspicion of posting the instigating messages on Telegram.

The Torre Pacheco mayor, Pedro Ángel Roca Ternel, publicly called for an end to the violence: “I call on residents to be calm, for tranquillity.”

Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska blamed the violence on anti-immigration rhetoric from the nationalist party Vox, Spain’s third-largest political force.

Vox leader Santiago Abascal fired back, pointing out that the unrest was caused by the dangers of mass immigration, saying, “It has stolen our borders, it has stolen our peace, and it has stolen our prosperity.”

It’s clear that the citizens of Spain share this sentiment after continually enduring a climate of violence from migrants and a police force too overwhelmed to maintain order. The ruling coalition of Spain continues to blame Vox instead of its own ineffectual policies, which leave the borders wide open to unchecked immigration.

WATCH: Trump Signs HALT Fentanyl Act into Law – Says Bill Strikes a “Righteous Blow to the Drug Dealers, Narcotic Traffickers, and Criminal Cartels” – SLAMS Biden for “Surrendering our Borders” to Invasion

President Trump joined by Angel families as he signs the HALT Fentanyl Act

President Trump signed Rep. Bob Latta (R-OH) and Rep. Morgan Griffith’s (R-VA) HALT Fentanyl Act into law on Wednesday to reclassify fentanyl as a Schedule I Substance and increase penalties for fentanyl-related offenses.

“The HALT Fentanyl Act permanently classifies lethal fentanyl-related substances as Schedule I substances, closing a dangerous loophole traffickers are exploiting. The temporary Schedule I designation was set to expire in September 2025,” according to a press release from Griffith’s office.

“The bill also enables a streamlined registration process for medical research into fentanyl-related substances.”

The President was joined by Angel families who lost their loved ones to the poisonous drug.

During the ceremony, President Trump declared another victory over the “vicious” cartels and drug traffickers who have been flooding our country with product and killing Americans for decades.

Watch below:

Trump: Today, we strike a righteous blow to the drug dealers, narcotic traffickers, and criminal cartels that we’ve all been hearing so much about for so many years, and very little has been done. And we take a historic step toward justice for every family touched by the fentanyl scourge as we sign the halt fentanyl Act into law. Good job. Good job.

Trump: And now, with the signing of the halt fentanyl act in just a few moments, we are delivering another defeat for the savage drug smugglers and criminals and the cartels, who have a tremendous amount to say about Mexico. If you want to be nice about it. I’m trying to be nice about it. They have very strong control over Mexico. We have to do something about that. Can’t let that happen. The Mexican authorities are petrified. They’re petrified to show up at their office. They’re petrified to go to work because the cartels have a tremendous grip on Mexico and the politicians and the people that get elected. For years, the monsters who manufacture illicit fentanyl have sought to skirt legal restrictions by making minor variations of the chemical compound, and in the process, they’ve developed even more toxic versions of the drug. One common variant, known as Carfentanil, is a very— it’s becoming more and more common. It’s 100 times more potent than the original version of fentanyl. Can you imagine? Look at what you have to suffer with the original. I mean, this is 100 times more potent.

President Trump also slammed Joe Biden for letting millions of illegal aliens into our country, including rapists, murderers, and drug traffickers, and he touted his day-one actions to secure the southern border.

Trump: For four long years, Joe Biden surrendered our borders to the most evil and vicious traffickers, networks, everything else on the planet Earth, allowing foreign drug cartels to carve out a massive footprint on American soil. We were doing nothing. This open borders nightmare flooded our country with fentanyl and with people that shouldn’t be here, some of the worst people on earth, and illicit drugs decimated American communities and left us with the largest law enforcement challenge in our country’s history, and hopefully it will always be the largest. I can’t imagine anything being worse. They allowed millions and millions of criminals into our country, 11,888 murders, 50% of whom murdered more than one person. On day one of the Trump administration, we declared an all out war on the dealers, smugglers, traffickers, and cartels. Within moments of taking office, I deployed the US military to our border and unleashed the patriots of ICE and border patrol to defend our country from an invasion. This was an invasion. This wasn’t people coming in. This was an invasion of our country allowed to happen by people either that didn’t care or were just stupid people, stupid people. I also designated the Mexican drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations.

According to the House bill summary for HR27:

This bill permanently places fentanyl-related substances as a class into schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act. A schedule I controlled substance is a drug, substance, or chemical that has a high potential for abuse; has no currently accepted medical value; and is subject to regulatory controls and administrative, civil, and criminal penalties under the Controlled Substances Act.

Under the bill, offenses involving fentanyl-related substances are triggered by the same quantity thresholds and subject to the same penalties as offenses involving fentanyl analogues (e.g., offenses involving 100 grams or more trigger a 10-year mandatory minimum prison term).

Additionally, the bill establishes a new, alternative registration process for certain schedule I research.

The bill also makes several other changes to registration requirements for conducting research with controlled substances, including

  • permitting a single registration for related research sites in certain circumstances,
  • waiving the requirement for a new inspection in certain situations, and
  • allowing a registered researcher to perform certain manufacturing activities with small quantities of a substance without obtaining a manufacturing registration.

Finally, the bill expresses the sense that Congress agrees with the interpretation of Controlled Substances Act in United States v. McCray, a 2018 case decided by the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York. In that case, the court held that butyryl fentanyl, a controlled substance, can be considered an analogue of fentanyl even though, under the Controlled Substances Act, the term controlled substance analogue specifically excludes a controlled substance.

NEW: Democrat Senator Tina Smith Hospitalized

Credit: U.S. Senate Photographic Studio

Minnesota Democratic Senator Tina Smith has been admitted to a hospital after falling ill today and will not be able to help Democrats try to block tonight’s recession package vote.

As Politico reported , Smith’s office released a statement saying the senator is expected to stay overnight for observation, assuming it does not take a turn for the worse.

She also hopes to be back in the near future.

No details were given regarding Smith’s illness.

Here is the statement:

“While at work at the Capitol today, Sen. Smith started to not feel well. She went to the Capitol physician who recommended she undergo more thorough examination at GW hospital,” the statement read.

“Out of an abundance of caution, they are keeping her overnight for observation.”

“She expects to be back at work very soon.”

Smith being out of work means Republicans will have a bit more margin of error and will not have to rely on Vice-Presiden JD Vance to break a tie vote like he did last night.

Politico notes that the Vance was in Pennsylvania earlier today and is supposed to return to DC this evening.

Smith is retiring after her term ends next year.
