Beloved country singer Dolly Parton, 79, postponed her upcoming Vegas concerts due to health issues.
“I want the fans and public to hear directly from me that, unfortunately, I will need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts. As many of you know, I have been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures. As I joked with them, it must be time for my 100,000-mile check-up, although it’s not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon!” Dolly Parton said in a statement on Sunday.
She continued, “In all seriousness, given this, I am not going to be able to rehearse and put together the show that I want you to see, and the show that you deserve to see. You pay good money to see me perform, and I want to be at my best for you. While I’ll still be able to work on all my projects from here in Nashville, I just need a little time to get show-ready, as they say.”
“And don’t worry about me quittin’ the business because God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet. But, I believe He is telling me to slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures with all of you. I love you and thank you for understanding,” she added.
Here are the Las Vegas concert dates that were postponed:
According to Campus Reform, “Louisiana State University (LSU) has announced its plans to develop a lecture series focused on “civil discourse and freedom of speech” in honor of Turning Point USA founder, Charlie Kirk.”
This program will be called “Let Freedom Ring: An LSU Lecture Series Promoting Civil Discourse and Wide-Ranging Viewpoints in Honor of Charlie Kirk.” They will promote free speech and open discussion, something most universities no longer partake in.
The lecture series will give multiple perspectives on a rage of issues and exist as a “guide for dialogue.” Many colleges just give the left-wing perspective, refusing to even engage in dialogue with conservatives.
Charlie Kirk had been scheduled to speak at LSU on October 27th. He would have been hosted by the schools Turning Point USA chapter.
LSU condemned political violence in a general sense, however, not pointing out how much of recent political violence comes from the left.
“Politically motivated violence of this nature is intended to instill fear in the populace and to force conformity of political, social, and economic thought, “LSU Board Chair Scott Ballard and Interim President Matt Lee write in their message announcing the lecture series.”
“Antithetical to core American and LSU values, such extreme violence must be met with intentional and civil dialogue that will educate our community and give them the tools to engage in and promote reasoned civic discourse,” they continue.
The Vice President of the TPUSA chapter on campus told Campus Reform, “We’re thrilled.”
“When I started LSU in 2021, conservative voices were not wanted, let alone funded and supported,” Vogin said.
Now, the Turning Point USA chapter at LSU executives will play a role in hosting speakers for the lecture series.
“It shows that LSU is open to conservatives, and LSU is not going to put up with liberal bias viewpoint discrimination anymore, and that is what I’m so proud of,” Vogin added.
The school’s memorandum states, “LSU prides itself on upholding free expression and believes that a culture of intense inquiry and informed argument generates lasting ideas.”
One can only hope more universities will change their ways and give conservatives a voice in memory of Charlie Kirk.
This morning, only moments after the violent attack on churchgoers in Grand Blanc, MI, the Gateway Pundit reported about the incident.
At the time of the incident, very little was known about the gunman who opened fire at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on McCandlish Road.
Early reports claimed that 6-8 victims of the gunman had been taken to the hospital, although the exact toll was not confirmed. Later, it was discovered that one person was killed by the alleged shooter and an additional 8 individuals were taken to the hospital. The church caught fire during the incident, triggering a massive four-alarm emergency response.
At a recent press conference, Grand Blanc Township Police Chief William Renye did not name the shooter, but did say that the suspect of the mass shooting inside the Mormon Church was a 40-year-old man from Burton, MI, a neighboring city just outside Grand Blanc, roughly 60 miles north of Detroit.
Now, it’s been confirmed that the alleged shooter, who was killed by law enforcement, is Thomas Jacob Sandford, a 40-year-old former U.S. Marine who fought in Iraq.
Law enforcement sources confirmed that investigators were stationed outside Sanford’s home on Atherton Road, which has been cordoned off as a crime scene. Property records list Sanford as the owner of both the residence and a 2008 GMC Sierra pickup truck, the same vehicle used to ram into the church during the attack.
The New York Post claims an old Facebook post by Sanford’s mother says the gunman — who died at the scene in a shootout with cops — served in Iraq from 2004-2008.
Law enforcement sources confirmed that Sanford, from nearby Burton, Michigan, is the shooting suspect. Sources told the Post that authorities also found several improvised explosive devices on church property, which a bomb squad was investigating.
The Gateway Pundit looked up the alleged shooter’s home address and found a Trump-Vance sign wedged behind a STOP sign on what appears to be his property, according to records. We verified his address on SmartBackgroundCheck.com and CheckMyVote.org, where we were able to view his voting record. It appears that the alleged shooter registered to vote in the 2018 midterms following Trump’s first presidential election victory in 2016.

While many on social media claim the shooter has a history of criticizing President Trump, we couldn’t find any evidence of their claims. We did, however, find a Google Maps image of the home owned by the alleged shooter that reveals a STOP sign placed in front of a Trump-Pence sign, which appears to indicate he was sending a “STOP Trump/Pence!” message to those who passed by his property on E. Atherton Rd. in rural Burton, MI.
Please pray for a full recovery for the victims of this sick individual and for law enforcement, who will be tasked with examining the church that was destroyed by the fire, for innocent parishioners who may not have escaped the violent attack on yet another church in America.
A woman in Upton, Massachusetts forgot to put her car in park when she got out to heckle ICE agents arresting an alleged illegal alien, according to a post by Fox News reporter Bill Melugin.
Melugin posted a photo and video of the woman and her car sent to him by an ICE source.
A voice on the video can heard calling the woman, “Lucy”, presumably a reference to the disaster-prone Lucy Ricardo in the classic 1950s TV series I Love Lucy:
“NEW: An anti-ICE protester in Massachusetts forgot to put her car in park while yelling at agents making an arrest of an illegal alien in Upton, MA, and her vehicle went into a lake and sunk, an ICE source tells me.”

Ukraine’s Zelensky and Hungary’s Orbán – AI-Generated image by Grok.
During the war, Ukraine has remained in a state of constant conflict with Hungary.
But since the Kiev regime bombed the Druzhba pipeline – that was vital for their energy security of the neighboring country – the bilateral relations took a turn for the worse, and seem to have reached the point of no return.
Not content of calling Viktor Orbán and his conservative, anti-Globalist government ‘Putin’s lackeys’ and some such slanders, Kiev’s leader Volodymyr Zelensky has forwarded the seemingly absurd thesis that Hungarian drones would have invaded his country’s airspace.
And the pushback from the Hungarians has been brutal.
“Reconnaissance drones that violated Ukraine’s airspace could have flown from Hungary to check the industrial potential of western border areas, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said on Friday, prompting a mocking rebuke from Budapest.
‘President Zelenskiy is losing his mind to his anti-Hungarian obsession. He’s now starting to see things that aren’t there’, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said in a post on X.”
President @ZelenskyyUa is losing his mind to his anti-Hungarian obsession. He’s now starting to see things that aren’t there. https://t.co/r5BYDsDkiU
“Hungary is a member of the European Union and NATO, two organizations that are allied with Kyiv in Russia’s war in Ukraine, but relations between Kyiv and Budapest have often been fraught.
[…] Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has been skeptical about Western military aid for Ukraine and has maintained more cordial relations with Russian President Vladimir Putin than other NATO and EU member states.”
Prime Minister Orbán:
Hungary is a member of NATO and the EU. Ukraine would have collapsed long ago without the support of these two organisations. President @ZelenskyyUa , with all due respect, stop harassing us!
President @ZelenskyyUA’s claim that a Hungarian military drone entered Ukraine is false. The HDF did not carry out any such mission, nor did it receive any instruction or notice. This attempt at disinformation has failed — stays out of the war and remains committed to peace.
Trump Media CEO Devin Nunes was on “Sunday Morning Futures” with Maria Bartiromo to discuss former FBI director James Comey’s indictment.
“We continue to look at the indictment of former FBI director, Jim Comey for making false statements and obstruction of Congress,” Bartiromo said.
“Devin, thanks very much for being here this morning. Give us your reaction to the indictment of Jim Comey,” Bartiromo said.
“I think Comey should consider himself lucky Maria, number one, that he wasn’t treated like Roger Stone was treated,” Nunes said.
“They actually raided his home at 6 am, dragged him out, and that was before they actually called the CNN cameras,” Nunes said of Roger Stone.
“Secondly, what also didn’t happen to him is what happened to General Flynn, where Comey himself admitted that they ambushed Flynn in the White House, charged him on very similar charges, even though the FBI agents themselves said that they didn’t believe Flynn had lied,” Nunes said.
“Comey has long been a liar, a leaker. He’s dishonest. He Ruined the FBI,” Nunes said.
“Most importantly, he will be lucky if there is not a grand conspiracy charge brought, which is really what should be brought against probably about two dozen characters in the United States over the last seven, eight years,” Nunes explained.
Bartiromo asked Nunes if there should be more charges and indictments on former FBI Director Comey.
“Devin, my question to you is number one, should there be more charges against Jim Comey, and number two, should there be more indictments? What do you think?” Bartiromo asked.
“So, on Comey, I think the answer for this is, it’s very specific and it’s over whether or not he lied on this one part. The larger part is whether or not you can bring a kind of grand conspiracy case,” Nunes said.
“There is also a term in there called misleading. And what a lot of what these guys did is they made up things using intelligence that didn’t exist but acted like they knew something that actually wasn’t there, and they lied and mislead the American people,” Nunes said.
“Everything that has been declassified, is that they didn’t have any intelligence on Russia colluding with Trump,” Nunes explained.

I just returned from a private interview at the Biltmore hotel…
See, I have had direct access to top-level defense and national security officials… Pete Hegseth, Tulsi Gabbard, Marco Rubio and others…
Which is why I was recently invited to a sit-down meeting with President Trump and Vice President Vance inside the West Wing of the White House.
And what I learned gave me the chills…
That’s why, today, I’ve decided to give a rare interview breaking down something I believe every American needs to hear – especially investors.
It’s not about tariffs, crypto, or the Fed. Or anything else you’re hearing about ad nauseam from the mainstream press right now.
It’s about a radical move I believe Trump is going to make as soon as October 15 – one that could shock the world.
Because I believe it could single-handedly reshape the global order… dramatically increase U.S. power… and trigger a massive American market boom the likes of which we haven’t seen in 75 years.
President Trump himself said this is all about one thing…
Igniting what he calls “the most extraordinary boom the world has ever seen.”
This is a rare opportunity, folks.
And I’m bringing it to you on a silver platter… long before anyone else gets wind of it. Take it while you can. Because once this story and opportunity hits the mainstream, it could be too late to act.
A Wisconsin couple is facing neglect charges after their six children were found locked inside a filthy storage unit in Milwaukeee, according to court documents.
Authorities said the children ranged in age from 2 months to 9 years old.
Police responded to the scene after someone reported a child crying inside one of the facility’s lockers, WISN-TV reported.
Firefighters were dispatched to the scene to cut a lock to open the unit.
Inside, they found children ages 9, 7, 5, 3, 2, and the infant.
None of the children appeared to be injured, NBC News reported.
But according to the criminal complaint, detectives found a bucket “containing urine” in the center of the unit that the children were apparently using as a toilet.
They said there was no electricity or running water in the unit.
“The only light these poor children had to have was the crack of light that came to the bottom of the garage [door]. We have your children stating that they had no food, that the only food they found was from the garbage,” Milwaukee County Court Commissioner Andrea Bolender told the children’s mother at a hearing, WISN reported.
Bolender added that the parents of the children were lucky none of them died.
The complaint described the smell inside as “putrid” and that one of the children had urinated in the bucket during their investigation.
The 9-year-old told investigators he was responsible for caring for his siblings.
Six children were found in a locked storage unit in Milwaukee, leading to charges of child neglect against their parents, who were found sleeping in a nearby car. Detective Andrew Farina described the scene after responding to an unusual 911 call. https://t.co/CBHtrxRvJfpic.twitter.com/4LTWp7pRg2
He said they used the bucket “to urinate and defecate” and had no way to contact anyone for help.
An employee of the storage facility told police he had overheard an adult male telling the children, “Sit down and be quiet” in May.
Officers said the parents of the children, Charles Albert Dupriest, 33, and Azyia C. Zielinski, 26, were sleeping in an SUV in a nearby parking lot.
Both admitted they slept in the vehicle with their dog while the children were locked in the unit.
The couple was reportedly receiving food stamps and $2,000 a month in Social Security benefits.
One child told police she was upset that the dog slept in the SUV while the kids were forced to stay in the storage unit.
Prosecutors charged Dupriest with possession of a firearm by a felon and six counts of child neglect.
Zielinski faces six counts of child neglect, WISN reported.
Investigators said the couple told them they had stayed at Joy House, a Milwaukee Rescue Mission shelter for women and children, in the past, but they were “kicked out” in July.
Patrick Vanderburgh, president and CEO of the mission, said, “While we must respect and maintain the confidentiality of our guests and their families, we can share that during [the family’s] most recent stay, we were able to verify that the family had secured permanent housing before leaving Joy House.”
House Speaker Mike Johnson was on “Sunday Morning Futures” with Maria Bartiromo to discuss the CR to keep the Federal Government open. He explained that Democrat leaders were working against the resolution for their own political gain.
“We are less than 72 hours away from a shutdown of the federal government. Republicans are seeking a clean continuing resolution,” Bartiromo said.
“The Office of Management and Budget has instructed federal agencies to prepare for a permanent massive downsizing of government staff during their potential government shutdown, specifically targeting employees and programs that are not legally mandated to continue,” Bartiromo continued.
“What are you expecting? I know you have a meeting at the White House tomorrow. Do you think you will be able to avoid a shutdown?” Bartiromo asked Speaker Johnson.
“I certainly hope so. The purpose of the meeting is so that the President can assemble the four leaders, you know the two top leaders in both chambers to come in and have this discussion, and I talked with him at length yesterday about this. And he is going to tell Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries to stop playing political games,” Johnson said.
Speaker Johnson explained how Congress is actually supposed to work on bills throughout the year to ensure accountability of taxpayer money and said that it has not followed that path in quite some time.
“The statutes in federal law require Congress to do 12 separate appropriations bills every year. That’s the only way to ensure stewardship of taxpayer funds, to spend less money and make government more responsible,” Johnson said.
“Congress hasn’t really worked that way in a long time. Typically, instead, what we have is a giant omnibus spending bill at the end of the year because the can is kicked down the road,” Johnson explained.
“For the first time since 2019, we have an actual conference committee between the two chambers to work out the differences,” Johnson said.
Speaker Johnson explained that Senator Schumer was more interested in adding massive amounts of spending instead of working together to pass the bill.
“What did Chuck Schumer do in exchange for that? He declined it. They voted against it, and he said and no, instead, I want to add 1.5 trillion dollars in new spending to a seven week stop gap bill and I want as you mentioned, we want to reinstate free healthcare to illegal aliens paid for by US taxpayer dollars,” Johnson said of Schumer.
“Lawmakers left and right have been saying we’ve got to get back to pre-covid spending. How do you get back to pre-covid spending when you are bringing some of those subsidies that were issued during covid?” Bartiromo asked.
“Right now, we just need a stop gap funding measure to keep the government open so we can have those debates,” Johnson said.
“There is one reason, and one reason alone that Schumer and Jeffries are doing this. They are trying to show a fight,” Johnson said.
“We are just keeping the doors open, but they want to shut it,” Johnson said.
Des Moines School Board Chair Jackie Norris pleads with the public to “cool down the rhetoric” after Superintendent Ian Roberts — an illegal alien fugitive from Guyana — was arrested by ICE and placed on paid leave.
The scandal rocking Des Moines, Iowa, Public Schools has taken an even darker turn after revelations that Superintendent Dr. Ian Andre Roberts, an illegal alien fugitive from Guyana with a deportation order, was placed on paid leave following his dramatic arrest by ICE agents.
ICE agents on Friday arrested Des Moines Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Ian Andre Roberts, an illegal alien fugitive from Guyana who had been living under a deportation order since May 2024.
According to Fox News reporter Bill Melugin, Roberts fled from ICE agents in his car once they identified themselves, speeding away before abandoning the vehicle and attempting to escape on foot. He was ultimately found hiding in shrubbery with the assistance of an Iowa State Police K9.
Inside his vehicle, agents recovered a loaded Glock 19 handgun, a fixed-blade hunting knife, and $3,000 in cash. Roberts reportedly has a prior weapons arrest dating back to 2020.
Despite this, Roberts was hired as Superintendent of Des Moines Public Schools in July 2023, after a national search process involving an outside firm.
He was granted a superintendent license by the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners in the same year, with an FBI criminal background check that somehow failed to flag his immigration issues.
In response, Des Moines Public Schools announced that Roberts had been placed on paid leave while the district investigates the situation.
Board Chair Jackie Norris issued a lengthy statement attempting to defend the district’s hiring process. She insisted Roberts had passed all required checks and claimed the district had no knowledge of his immigration status or deportation order.
Norris said Roberts “affirmed he was a U.S. citizen” on employment paperwork and emphasized that the Iowa Department of Education had issued his superintendent license without incident.
She placed blame on the outside firm, JG Consulting, and the third-party company it contracted, which she said failed to uncover any red flags.
Norris scolded the community to “cool down the rhetoric”:
Board Chair Jackie Norris: “No denying the simple fact: yesterday was a jarring day for many people—not only at Des Moines Public Schools, but throughout this community and country.
In 2023, our students, staff, and families warmly welcomed Dr. Roberts into our community, and he has served as an enthusiastic voice in support of our students’ academic success and the need to support public education. So yesterday came as a shock to all of us.
I want to be clear today: we still do not have all of the facts. According to ICE, in May 2024 an immigration judge issued a final removal order for Dr. Roberts. We were not made aware of that fact, and that’s very concerning.
I want to be clear: no one here was aware of any citizenship or immigration issues that Dr. Roberts may have been facing. The accusations ICE has made against Dr. Roberts are very serious, and we are taking them very seriously.
Dr. Roberts has retained the Parish-Credanier law firm. They have already provided a statement on their role, and they will likely offer future statements.
As we shared yesterday afternoon, employers—including DMPS—are required to verify employment eligibility for all employees.
In this case, Dr. Roberts completed the I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification Form and submitted the required documentation. Everything the district has on file indicates that Dr. Roberts affirmed he was a citizen who was eligible to work in the school district.
The Iowa Department of Education issued a license in 2023 to the superintendent. The agency says an FBI criminal background check did not raise issues, and Roberts said he was a U.S. citizen on the application.
Later on, we will address the specific steps the board took when conducting the superintendent search and hiring Dr. Roberts in 2023.
Two things can be true: we must support our interim superintendent and staff as they lead 35,000 students and staff on Monday, because our collective role is to educate and support our students and their families.
We must also continue to pursue the facts in this case and understand our school community is still processing this very significant issue.
I also want to be clear about one fact that cannot be ignored: of course, the school district ensured that a background check was conducted before hiring Dr. Roberts. That is done for every person who is hired by the district, and periodic reviews are conducted on a regular basis for all current employees.
On that point, I want to share the steps in the process that led to the hiring of Dr. Roberts.
In December 2022, Des Moines Public Schools approved a contract with JG Consulting as the district’s search firm to bring qualified superintendent candidates for our consideration.
Between January and the end of March 2023, the board worked with the search firm on a variety of issues related to the qualifications and characteristics of candidates for the position, as the search firm recruited potential candidates for consideration.
Between April 11 and 13, and then on May 16, the school board conducted interviews with candidates. On May 16, the school board approved our first contract with Dr. Roberts, who began his role as superintendent on July 1, 2023.
As part of their work for DMPS, JG Consulting’s contract included their obligation to disclose to the district all known information—positive or negative—regarding candidates for the superintendent position. That included having a comprehensive criminal, credit, and background check conducted by a third party.
In this case, the search firm used a company called Baker U. Banks to conduct the background check, which found nothing related to citizenship or immigration matters concerning Dr. Roberts.
After his selection, Dr. Roberts applied for his superintendent license with the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners. The State of Iowa issued a superintendent license to Dr. Roberts on July 11, 2023.
This all came after a career of more than 20 years that Dr. Roberts spent as an educator and school leader in Pennsylvania, Missouri, Maryland, Washington, D.C., and New York.
In addition, DMPS is cooperating with requests for information from state authorities and will continue to do so.
Finally, we all need to cool down the rhetoric. We should promote true discourse and facts, not spread misinformation meant to divide us. Our elected officials need to behave like role models for our children. Enough with the name-calling and misinformation that is meant to divide us.
We are talking about human beings. Our kids are watching. They are online 24/7 on social media, on phones, and what they see right now is likely very difficult for them to process.
While we work to address this personnel issue, we must continue to lift up our district, our students, and staff, and push back against hateful rhetoric directed at us.”
