According to officials, six people were injured in a shooting that took place in front of the East Feliciana Parish Courthouse on Saturday.
The shooting, which took place during the Mardi Gras in the Country Parade, left a child and another person in critical condition and five others injured.
A resident in the area told WBRZ he was at the parade when gunshots were fired.
“Everybody started running,” he said. “This does not happen often in this particular area.” According to the resident, the parade has been cancelled.
Authorities said one suspect is currently in custody, and they are searching for a vehicle in relation to the shooting.
President Trump on Saturday instructed Department of Homeland Security Chief Kristi Noem to be “forceful” against far-left rioters who attack federal property.
Trump criticized local police in Eugene, Oregon, for allowing anti-ICE rioters to break into a federal building and cause damage.
“Local Police did nothing in order to stop it. We will not let that happen anymore! If Local Governments are unable to handle the Insurrectionists, Agitators, and Anarchists, we will immediately go to the location where such help is requested, and take care of the situation very easily and methodically, just as we did the Los Angeles Riots one year ago…” President Trump said.
President Trump also said federal agents won’t help cities besieged by anti-ICE rioters unless they request it.

Following the deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, two violent radical left agitators in Minneapolis, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries has announced that the Democrats plan to launch impeachment proceedings in the near future if Kristi Noem is not fired.
Good and Pretti joined a mob of violent leftists who have been clashing with federal agents repeatedly over the last year. It was only a matter of time until somebody died while attacking ICE agents, as happened with the two.
Good was shot and killed after attempting to run over an agent in her car, and Pretti, who had a history of violent encounters and spitting on ICE agents, engaged with federal agents while armed with a gun.
But just like we saw in 2020, the Democrats are siding with criminals over law enforcement and seeking to defund the Department of Homeland Security– and even impeach top officials overseeing the operation.
During a Capitol Hill press conference on Thursday, Jeffries declared that the Democrats will imminently move forward with Noem’s impeachment, claiming she has “presided over the cold-blooded killings of American citizens like Renee Nicole Good and Alex Pretti.”
“Shame on every Republican in the Senate who put this wildly unqualified person into a position of significance, the Department of Homeland Security, so she could unleash brutalization on everyday Americans, American citizens, and law-abiding immigrant families. It’s disgraceful. She’s got to go. We are dead serious,” Jeffries continued. “She needs to be put on ice permanently,” he added, using a phrase which is frequently used in the context of murder.
Jeffries then took aim at White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, stating, “He needs to go as well,” while attacking President Trump for employing the two.
“He’s a stone-cold liar, he’s a bigot, he’s a hateful individual. He’s a malignant, unelected interloper,” Jeffries said of Miller.
If Democrats win the House and Senate this coming November, we can be sure that Trump’s agenda is cooked, and his entire cabinet will be impeached.
President Trump on Friday came out in defense of Kristi Noem, demanding that Republicans not “let these Crooked Democrats, who are stealing Billions of Dollars from Minnesota, and other Cities and States from all over the Country, push you around” as DHS funding is set to lapse in two weeks.

The three and a half million documents from the latest – and apparently last – release from the DOJ following the approval of the House Resolution 4405, the Epstein Files Transparency Act, are out.
Around the world, journalists are digging into the mother lode, but we can already say that disgraced former British Prince Andrew is the elite figure most featured in the damaging files.
We already reported about a 2010 email exchange in which Jeffrey Epstein, fresh out of Florida prison, sets ‘Randy Andy’ with a 26-year-old Russian woman, once again shattering the former duke’s lies that he severed ties with the late pedophile after his conviction.
He is also featured inviting Epstein and women friends for a dinner at Buckingham Palace – ‘with lots of privacy’.
The new revelations are even worse.
In a disturbing series of declassified photos, Andrew is ‘hovering over a woman lying on the floor’.

“In one disturbing photo, Queen Elizabeth II’s third child, now known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, is seen crouched on all fours over a woman — whose face is redacted — sprawled on her back with her arms spread on the white striped carpet, as the ousted royal stares into the camera.
Two other snaps show the barefoot 65-year-old, sporting a white polo and jeans, touching the unknown woman’s stomach. The woman appeared to be awake in the photos, with her arm held up in one picture.”
A series of emails between Andrew and convicted sex-trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell reinforce the multiple earlier reports that they were, at one point, romantically involved.
“Affectionate exchanges in which they refer to each other by names including ‘darling’ and ‘sweet pea’, while stating they ‘long for’ one another are reigniting claims from friends and even a former royal protection officer that they were in fact lovers.
[…] Emails between Andrew, 65, – who went by the moniker The Invisible Man – and Maxwell in 2002 tell how he sought Maxwell’s ‘permission’ to spend time with his ex-wife and children instead of travelling to the US.”

And to prove that shady deals come hand in hand with their debauched lifestyle, Andrew is also featured in the documents sharing confidential Afghanistan documents with Epstein.

“Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor appeared to ask Jeffrey Epstein for his advice over a confidential document about investment opportunities Afghanistan.
He told his former friend that he would be ‘very interested’ in his comments, views or ideas and who else he could show it to in order to ‘attract some interest’.
The Gates Foundation, he added, ‘sadly’ doesn’t do anything in Afghanistan.”
“On Christmas Eve, 2010, after Andrew, a UK trade ambassador at the time, was seen with Epstein in New York — a meeting he later told Newsnight had been to break off the friendship — he appears to have written to Epstein outlining a business opportunity in Afghanistan and shared a “confidential brief” about “Afghanistan International business opportunities”.”

Tom Basile of Newsmax talked with Peter Schweizer, author of “The Invisible Coup”, and President of the “Government Accountability Institute,” about the weaponization of immigration against the United States.
“Mass migration has evolved into a formidable political weapon, wielded against the United States to destabilize the country by both domestic and foreign elites. America is under attack. That is what New York Times best-selling author Peter Schweizer is arguing in his new book and he is here to tell us all about it,” Basile said.
“We tend to only look at the micro issues when it comes to immigration, not the macro ones. And in the book, you tackle perhaps one of the biggest macro issues. Who is sending millions of people here, and why?” Basile asked.
“We’ve been having a very important national debate in this country about immigration and that conversation is mostly been about you know, its effect on jobs and wages. How it might affect crime on our streets. Maybe some discussion about our culture,” Schweizer said.
“What we are ignoring is the weaponization of immigration. And what do I mean by that? I mean foreign actors and some people domestically who see immigration as a tool or a weapon to accomplish very specific ends,” Schweizer warned.
“And they tell us what those ends are. Those ends are the diminishing of American civilization, the advancement of their political networks within the United States. Their desire to sow chaos within our country,” Schweizer said.
“This includes neighbors like Mexico, but also rivals like China, and domestic progressive elites who gain a political advantage from it,” Schweizer warned.
Schweizer warned that the Mexican consulates are involved in operations like these to go against the US, even though Mexico’s President Scheinbaum acts like she is cooperating with the US when it comes to cartels and immigration.
“There is only certain things that Claudia Scheinbaum is gonna be able to do with regards to the drug cartels because she is connected to the drug cartels and I provide that evidence in the book,” Schweizer warned.
“When it comes to Mexico’s infrastructure in the United States, it’s vast. The UK and China have 6 and 7 consulates in the US. Mexico has 53 and they are meddling in our domestic politics. They are part of, according to officials themselves say they are part of the civil resistance to the Trump administration. They have held meetings in their consulates about how to turn states from red to blue. And they also have sovereignty goals as it relates to the United States,” Schweizer explained.
“They view this as an opportunity to extend what they call greater Mexico into the United States, and they intend to use that for their political benefit and to our detriment,” Schweizer warned.
Schweizer also explained that China has exploited birthright citizenship by sending Chinese Nationals to the US to give birth, return to China to raise the child, and then have them return to the US as a young adult.
“Their exploitation of immigration laws is more sophisticated than Mexico’s,” Schweizer said.
“China has encouraged this. Beginning in 2011, they were running articles in the ‘People’s Daily,’ the CCP’s main newspaper, encouraging members of the elite to come to the United States because their child could get US citizenship,” Schweizer explained.
Georgia Democrat State Rep. Dexter Sharper was charged with defrauding the federal government by falsely claiming unemployment while he earned income.
According to federal prosecutors, Rep. Sharper collected nearly $14,000 in emergency Covid benefits while earning money from income.
“While many of his constituents and fellow citizens were losing jobs and desperately needed unemployment assistance during the pandemic, Representative Sharper allegedly pretended to be out of work to collect a share of unemployment benefits for himself,” said US Attorney Theodore Hertzberg.
“When government officials lie to take money, and do it while holding an elected office, it violates the trust of citizens and weakens faith in our elected government,” he added.
A third member of the Georgia House of Representatives has been accused of lying to collect thousands of dollars in unemployment benefits during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Rep. Dexter L. Sharper, who represents District 177, is the latest Democratic lawmaker facing federal charges of making false statements to obtain funds administered by the U.S. Department of Labor.
Investigators say Sharper applied for unemployment benefits from April 2020 to May 2021, claiming to have had only one employer, Dexter Sharper Party Rental. In the application, Sharper allegedly stated that he had not worked since March 13, 2020, claiming in 38 separate weekly certifications that he had not worked and was actively seeking employment.
However, prosecutors say the Valdosta man was working in the Georgia General Assembly in addition to running his party rental business and performing as a musician.
Authorities say Sharper collected more than $13,000 of unemployment assistance benefits during that time.
Dexter Sharper is the third Democrat state lawmaker to be charged with defrauding the federal government in the last few months.
Earlier this month, Georgia state Rep. Karen Bennett was indicted by a federal grand jury for Covid fraud.
Bennett is a pro-BLM, defund the police activist.
Prosecutors said Bennett defrauded taxpayers after she obtained COVID-19 unemployment benefits, despite her business remaining open during the pandemic.
She was charged with one count of false statements.
Last month, Georgia Democrat state legislator Sharon Henderson was arrested and charged with defrauding the federal government.
Henderson was indicted for Covid pandemic unemployment fraud.
A federal grand jury charged Henderson with two counts of theft of government funds and ten counts of making false statements.

Department of Homeland Security officials say that Somali fraudsters have transported roughly $700 million in bulk cash through the Minneapolis airport to Somalia since 2024.
Officials also say that $136 million has been flown from Columbus, Ohio, to Somalia since 2023.
Meanwhile, large hub airports like John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York and Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport in Texas only see about three to four million dollars in cash being transported, according to Fox’s Kayleigh McEnany.
Under the network known as hawala, money is sent back without a paper trail to the third-world country of Somalia. But it’s reportedly estimated that only $215 million in remittances are sent each year by Somalis in the US, not the billion-plus dollars sent over the last three years.
Officials say this money could be siphoned or taxed by the terrorist group al-Shabaab, Fox News reports.
During a January 21 House Homeland Security Committee hearing, Ha Nguyen McNeill, Senior Official Performing the Duties of the Administrator of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), testified that TSA agents report when the bulk cash is seen on the X-rays at airports and that there is an “ongoing investigation with our law enforcement partners.”

In 2016 email, Epstein helps top Democratic fundraiser Hoffman recover his passport.

Liberal ESPN host Stephen A. Smith, who occasionally criticizes the Democrats for their outrageous stances, showed his true colors on Friday, defending Don Lemon’s leftwing terrorism under the guise of journalism.
“I’m a member of the press too, and ain’t no way in hell anybody in the field of journalism shouldn’t be supporting Don Lemon today. And that’s including anyone on the right, anybody in journalism,” Smith claimed while ignoring Lemon’s illegal actions.
Lemon was arrested on Friday morning for his involvement in storming a Minneapolis church earlier this month with deranged leftist activists. Lemon and his fellow anti-ICE insurrectionists illegally invaded the church service, interrupting worship and shutting down the church because the pastor has alleged ties to ICE.
Lemon livestreamed his participation in the event. “This is what the First Amendment is about, the freedom to protest,” Don Lemon said as his crowd harassed families with children. “I’m sure people here don’t like it, but protests are not comfortable.”
Pastor Jonathan Parnell took questions and shut down Don Lemon at the church, describing his behavior as “unacceptable” and “shameful” as Lemon defiantly claimed he has a First Amendment right to harass churchgoers. Lemon was extremely hostile and demanding as the pastor tried to explain very respectfully, “We’re here to worship Jesus,” and pleaded with Lemon to leave.

But Lemon didn’t leave.
As noted in the unsealed indictment, Lemon and his co-conspirators “oppressed, threatened, and intimidated the Church’s congregantsand pastors by physically occupying most of the main aisle and rows of chairs near the front of the Church, engaging in menacing and threatening behavior,(for some) chanting and yelling loudly at the pastor and congregants, and/orphysically obstructing them as they attempted to exit and/or move aboutwithin the Church.”
Then, while “pepper[ing] him with questions to promote the operation’s message… ignored the pastor’s request and did not immediately leave the Church,” the indictment reads.
Lemon was further involved in the planning stages of the attack on religious freedoms. As The Gateway Pundit reported, Lemon actually admitted that he was embedded with co-conspirator and BLM activist Nekima Armstrong and the group of rabid protestors and that he had direct knowledge of the plan but could not disclose it to his audience. “These operations are surprise operations,” Lemon said on his livestream. “Again, we can’t tell you where they’re going.”
As noted in the indictment, “At the pre-operation briefing, defendants ARMSTRONG and ALLEN advised other co-conspirators, including defendants KELLY, LEMON, [], LUNDY, CREWS, FORT, and [] about the target of their operation (i.e., Cities Church) and provided instruction on how the operation would be conducted once they arrived at the Church.”
“During a discussion with defendant ARMSTRONG at thepre-op briefing, (a) defendant LEMON thanked defendant ARMSTRONG forwhat she was doing and assured her that he was ‘not saying … what’s going on’ (ie, was not disclosing the target of the operation); (b) defendantARMSTRONG explainedthat ‘OperationPullup’ was a “clandestine” operation in which she and other agitators would ‘show up somewhere that isa key location, [where the targets] don’t expect us … , and we disrupt businessas usual.That’s what we’re about to go do right now.’; and (c) defendant Lemon said he would see her there,” the indictment continues.
“Before heading to the Church to join his co-conspirators, defendant LEMON advised his livestream audience that, ‘We’re going to head to the operation. Again, we’re not going to give any, any of the information away’ (ie. operational details that would disclose where he and his coconspirators were heading).”
This was not journalism. This is terrorism, disguised as activism by some and journalism by Don Lemon.
But Stephen A. Smith caved and virtue signaled to the left in a screaming rant about press freedom and the First Amendment, arguing that Lemon should be immune because he’s a “member of the press” and has been for decades.
“This is straight BS, what he’s going through!” Smith stammered. “You support this, you don’t you don’t support the First Amendment, you don’t support freedom of the press,” he continued, after claiming that Lemon simply “walked into a church to do interviews and stuff like that for a couple of minutes.”
