UPDATE: We’ve Completed 40 PERCENT Of Our Investigation Into Detroit’s 2020 Absentee Ballot Envelopes And We’re Beginning To See Why They Covered The Windows

Absentee ballot envelope from Detroit, featuring instructions for assisting voters, signature requirements, and warnings about false statements, dated October 27, 2020, for the November 3 election.

After years of being gaslighted by some of the most dishonest people in election history, The Gateway Pundit, along with some of the most respected election investigators in the state, is working to blow the lid off the lies about Detroit’s “secure” 2020 election that helped to give Joe Biden an inexplicable victory in the must-win state of Michigan.

In September, the Gateway Pundit announced that we would be working with Independent Investigator Yehuda Miller, who had won a massive FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) lawsuit against the City of Detroit and was finally in possession of almost 1 million election documents from Detroit’s 2020 election.

Yehuda Miller’s request for the documents was originally rejected. Undeterred by their denial of public records, Miller hired a top FOIA attorney who successfully sued for the documents before the expiration of the 22-month federally mandated period, which requires election officials to retain all election records from all general, special, or primary elections.

Mr. Miller was able to secure copies of the actual absentee ballots, the signed envelopes that contained the absentee ballots, absentee ballot applications, QVF files, and total tapes from each (including the always OUT OF BALANCE) Detroit precincts, and picked them up in a U-Haul, where he drove them to a secure location. In addition to the hard copies, we also have the digital files from Detroit’s 2020 election.

We quickly assembled some of Michigan’s top election integrity experts. Together with Yehuda, our incredible team of volunteers has completed almost 40% of the investigation of over 155K absentee ballot envelopes from the 2020 election. It’s fair to say that after several weeks of uncovering issues and concerns flagged by volunteers, it’s becoming clearer every day why election workers and outside agitators covered the windows of the TCF Center after locking out the majority of the Republican poll challengers. On the other side of the covered windows, absentee ballots were being processed on the day after the 2020 election, with little to no oversight by Republican poll challengers and, in many cases, absolutely no oversight by anyone other than the almost exclusively Democratic Party election workers and supervisors.

We are currently reviewing and entering the data from each individual absentee ballot envelope. Once this process is completed, we will begin entering the data from the absentee ballot applications. After both sets of data have been entered into a program designed exclusively for our team by the brilliant Check My Vote founder Phani Mantravadi, we can begin placing the absentee ballot applications side-by-side with the envelopes and comparing them, at which point, we believe we will really begin to put the puzzle pieces together.

PLEASE consider giving HERE to support this project and help offset the costs that individuals and MFEI are contributing to keep it going.

This is a costly project, and to date, it has been exclusively funded by Yehuda Miller: Massive FOIA costs incurred to obtain the documents from the City of Detroit and Wayne County, and costly storage fees to keep the almost 1 million documents in a secure facility. Check My Vote founder Phani Mantravadi: Hundreds of hours to develop and maintain the website used by volunteers to review documents and enter data in an easy-to-use format he created. Data storage and maintenance fees, as well as hundreds of more hours needed to train volunteers and to organize and make necessary updates/changes to the website. Michigan Fair Elections (MFEI): Sharing valuable resources by experts needed to help train and work with volunteers, as well as helping Phani to organize a massive number of documents.

Here are a few of the absentee ballots our incredible team of volunteers has already flagged as having “issues.”

Let’s begin with this “voter,” who is registered to vote and voted from a NON-EXISTENT address in Detroit. We have confirmed that 8286 Auburn St., Detroit, MI, is a fake address. This “voter” successfully registered to vote from this address and received an absentee ballot in the 2020 election. According to the official City of Detroit “Received” date stamp, his absentee ballot envelope was received on the day before the election. The “Clerks Only” section of the envelope reveals that this “voter” from a fraudulent address was given ballot #8574. Curiously, this voter has now been wiped clean from the Michigan voter rolls.

The absentee ballot envelope below shows a German address on the envelope label. The white label is what is used by the USPS to deliver the ballot. According to the date next to the voter’s signature, the envelope was signed on Oct. 30, 2020, and received (according to the official City of Detroit stamp) on October 30. We’ve been hearing for decades that our USPS service is inefficient. Apparently, when it comes to absentee ballots in Detroit, they defy all odds and deliver overseas mail on the same day.

Curiously, this voter did not use the UOCAVA (Uniformed Overseas Civilian Absentee Voter Act) form of voting which allows them to skip the requirement to prove that they are a US citizen, they can never have lived in the US, and they can literally choose any address in Michigan and say that some member of their family once lived there to register to vote. Contrast their ballot to the ballots below, which show two UOCAVA voters (red envelopes). Both voters’ ballots were mailed to an address in Detroit, despite their official registration listing a forwarding address in Israel. Both UOCAVA voters cast absentee ballots in the November 2020 election.

Absentee ballot assistance form for voters unable to vote independently, detailing signature requirements and legal warnings regarding false statements. Absentee ballot envelope from Detroit, Michigan, received on October 20, 2020, containing voter assistance information and signature verification details.

Remember, UOCAVA voters don’t have to prove that they live at a particular address in Michigan or that they ever did to vote in Michigan’s elections. The rules for overseas voters are much more lax than they are for US citizens living in the USA.

This absentee ballot envelope was not signed or dated. There is a handwritten note stating that the ballot was “rejected” because there is “no sig.” The person was, nevertheless, issued ballot number 0387, and according to the official voter rolls, despite the “rejected” ballot, voted absentee in the Nov. 2020 election. The line below the signature clearly states: THE ABOVE FORM MUST BE SIGNED OR YOUR VOTE WILL NOT BE COUNTED.”

The absentee ballot envelope shown below was processed at the post office on 8/4/2020. Detroit’s Primary election was August 4, 2020. The official USPS stamp reveals that this absentee ballot envelope was received on the day of the primary election, but was stamped and dated for the November general election. According to the “Clerk’s Only section, the voter received ballot #0070 and appears to have been counted in the Nov. election, as the voter is recorded as “voted” in the 2020 election.

The voter dated this absentee ballot envelope “May 6, 2020”. The first day the absentee ballots were available to voters in 2020 was September 24. The ballot was marked “Received” on October 9, 2020, and the voter was issued a ballot (#0633).

These ballots were all signed and dated AFTER the date they were received, according to the official City of Detroit stamp. Unfortunately, the envelope signed date appearing after the official time stamp is an all-too-common occurrence in Detroit.

Fortunately, for this voter, the person processing this envelope (or someone offsite who handled these envelopes after they were received) was able to change the official time stamp with an ink pen (see the red arrow below that points to the handwritten date change).

This envelope was signed by the voter on October 6, 2020, given the official City of Detroit “Received” stamp on October 8, 2020, and also given a completely different handwritten “received” date of October 15.

This absentee ballot envelope was signed on Sept. 30, 2020, and received on Oct. 1, 2020, according to the official City of Detroit stamp, but we’re not sure how the envelope was delivered, considering the address label is completely scribbled out and unreadable. Of course, the voter was issued a ballot (#0007)

There is no way to determine when this envelope was received, as it has SIX official time stamps from the city clerk, each showing a different or illegible date.

These are just some of the ballot issues we’ve uncovered. Many of the issues we’ve found should have prevented election officials from processing the ballots, but they were processed anyway. We will continue to share more examples of our findings as we diligently pore through these absentee ballot envelopes. Although we have over 100 volunteers signed up to help us with this project, we have a long way to go, and our expenses are mounting. We have made the decision not turn this project over to the government or to an outside group that might taint the evidence or miss some of our critical findings. Please consider supporting our efforts by donating any amount you can afford to our Give Send Go account HERE.

We knew from the day after the 2020 election that Detroit’s election results could not be trusted. No one has done more than the Gateway Pundit to uncover the fraud in Michigan. From proving the late-night drop of tens of thousands of ballots at the TCF Center on the morning after the election by paying to get the security footage from the TCF Center that revealed the white van making not one, but two deliveries of ballots around 3:30 am on the day after the election, to our exclusive story that exposed the statewide GBI Strategies voter application scam that our Attorney Genertal Dana Nessel and Secretrary of State Jocelyn Benson hid from the clerks and from the citizens of Michigan, to providing footage of the Detroit absentee ballot drop boxes that showed dozens of individuals and teams of people dropping off stacks of ballots (in violation of Michigan law) while recording themselves, we have exposed instance after instance of blatant fraud. Yet, nothing has been done to correct it or hold the people who’ve been covering it up responsible. We hope to change that with this investigation, after we provide irrefutable proof of fraud.

A split image showing a woman speaking with a backdrop of the White House, alongside a group of people reacting in a tense situation.

Rep. Ilhan Omar’s State of the Union guest, Aliya Rahman, is claiming that she was forcibly removed from the House chamber, arrested, and subsequently hospitalized.

According to Omar, Rahman was “aggressively handled” by authorities until intervention secured her medical attention at George Washington University Hospital, after which she was booked at the United States Capitol Police headquarters.

“Reports indicate she was aggressively handled until someone intervened to secure medical attention. She was taken to George Washington University Hospital for treatment and later booked at the United States Capitol Police headquarters,” Omar said in a statement posted to X on Wednesday.

“The heavy-handed response to a peaceful guest sends a chilling message about the state of our democracy. I am calling for a full explanation of why this arrest occurred.”

Rahman, who spoke to Democracy Now! on Wednesday, claimed she was removed simply for “standing up silently — no buttons, no facial expressions, no gestures, no signs, not one sound.”

WATCH:

This arrest took place around the time that Trump delivered remarks railing against illegal aliens, prompting Omar and fellow Rep. Rashida Tlaib to heckle the president and voluntarily leave the chamber.

In January, Rahman was reportedly dragged from her car by federal immigration agents in Minnesota while en route to a doctor’s appointment amid a traffic jam, after not cooperating with their demands.

On Wednesday, Trump weighed in on Omar and Tlaib, saying they should be sent “back from where they came.”

Trump wrote on Truth Social, “When you watch Low IQ Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib, as they screamed uncontrollably last night at the very elegant State of the Union, such an important and beautiful event, they had the bulging, bloodshot eyes of crazy people, LUNATICS, mentally deranged and sick who, frankly, look like they should be institutionalized. When people can behave like that, and knowing that they are Crooked and Corrupt Politicians, so bad for our Country, we should send them back from where they came — as fast as possible. They can only damage the United States of America, they can do nothing to help it.”

ARREST HIM: Democrat Congressman Caught Harboring an Illegal Alien in His Office to ‘Protect’ Lawbreaker from Police During Trump’s State of Union Speech

A Democrat member of Congress spat in the face of law enforcement earlier this week by not only bringing an illegal alien to the State of the Union speech, but also helping him evade capture.

As The Gateway Pundit’s Jordan Conradson reported, President Trump delivered a historic address marking his second year in office.

While he focused on affordability and made a few new economic policy announcements as expected, the evening was highlighted by several moments honoring Americans.

These included the U.S. men’s hockey team, which won the Gold Medal on Sunday, as well as several American veterans who risked their lives to accomplish some of the most extraordinary feats imaginable.

Trump also recognized those who died at the hands of illegal aliens and the violent thugs on American soil. The Democrats, unsurprisingly, sat when asked to stand for Anna Zarutska, the mother of a Ukrainian refugee who was killed by a cruel monster.

In addition, some decided to make it even more straightforward that they valued illegals over U.S. citizens.

Before the speech, far-left Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA) decided to invite a teenage illegal alien named Marcelo Gomes DaSilva. As CBS notes, Gomes da Silva was detained for several days last May because his student visa had expired and he was in the country illegally.

While Moulton was not the only Democrat to invite an illegal, he and his staff went a step further than his colleagues in making a mockery of the law.

As MSNBC notes, Moulton’s chief of staff, Neesha Suarez, noticed the DHS tweet and took action.

WATCH:

Worried about Gomes being arrested and deported, she helped him evade potential trouble by escorting him out of the chamber. The Boston Globe reported there was a heavy law enforcement presence in the House gallery.

Gomes then watched the rest of the SOTU speech on his phone in Moulton’s office.

Last year, a judge in Wisconsin was convicted of obstructing federal immigration agents while helping an illegal alien evade arrest. She resigned in January.

Will Rep. Moulton or his staffers pay a similar price? Don’t count on it.

Donald Trump and a man in a light blue suit smile together at an event, showcasing a friendly interaction.

by Rachel Gearhart

Something crossed my desk recently that made me stop and pay attention.

The man known as America’s Economist – a former CIA analyst with connections to multiple Presidents including Clinton, Bush, and Trump – just bought 10,000 shares of a small $5 stock.

It’s not a stock many Americans have heard of.

But this connected economist learned the company is in a unique position as the SOLE American provider of one critical resource.

And he believes the White House may take a large stake in the company.

This is important.

Over the past year, the U.S. government has started backing companies tied to critical resources and national security. And when those announcements come, stocks have moved fast. Sometimes in days.

For example, when the Trump Administration took a stake in Trilogy Metals, the stock jumped 388% in just 8 days.

That’s why “America’s Economist” immediately bought shares.

He’s clearly anticipating a big move.

So he recorded a short presentation explaining what he’s seeing right now – and why those close to or in retirement may want to look at this company very closely before it becomes headline news.

You can watch it here…

Dr. Mark Skousen, a macroeconomic strategist, speaks in front of a blue background, wearing a hat and a plaid suit, with a play button overlay for video content.

But do it fast.

Because, based on what I’ve seen, the window to benefit from situations like this is usually short.

Mexico President Sheinbaum Retaliates Against Musk for Accusing Her of Cartel Ties

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said her government is considering legal action against Elon Musk after he accused her of having ties to drug cartels.

Musk made the allegation on X in response to a resurfaced 2025 video in which Sheinbaum rejected a return to a militarized crackdown on cartels, saying, “Returning to the war against the narco is not an option.

First, because it is outside the framework of the law.” After another user asked whether she was “a cartel plant,” Musk replied that she was “just saying what her cartel bosses tell her to say,” adding that their punishment for disobedience was worse than “a performance improvement plan.”

Mainstream media is focusing on whether or not she can sue him and how difficult it would be because of U.S. free speech laws.

Mexican officials have responded by telling Musk to concentrate on stopping drug use in the U.S., which enriches the cartels. They have also blamed the United States, arguing that many of the guns used by the cartels come from the U.S.

Neither the mainstream media nor the Mexican government seems very concerned about the fact that the government is not independent of cartel control and that the country has descended into violence, with a full-scale cartel war underway alongside a parallel war between the government and the cartels.

The recent killing of Nemesio Oseguera, known as “El Mencho,” the longtime leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, by Mexican security forces in February 2026, along with the subsequent Operation Swarm, which resulted in the arrest of 14 mayors this month, represents the state’s latest attempt to break the cycle of cartel violence.

Operation Swarm underscores how deep the corruption runs. Among those arrested by Mexican authorities was Diego Rivera Navarro, the mayor of Tequila, Jalisco, in connection with an alleged multi-million-dollar extortion scheme involving major tequila producers and the Jalisco New Generation Cartel. Federal officials allege that Navarro’s administration imposed property taxes more than 20 times the legal rate and levied fines exceeding 60 million pesos, or roughly $3.5 million U.S., in exchange for withholding permits.

The investigation began after complaints from at least 10 companies, including Becle, parent company of Jose Cuervo, 1800, and Maestro Dobel. Navarro was detained along with three senior municipal officials, and authorities confirmed that three mayors were arrested during the operation.

The operation sparked roadblocks and arson attacks in parts of the country. Asked whether the action signaled a return to a more aggressive security strategy, Sheinbaum rejected that interpretation, saying, “The detention of a suspected criminal with an arrest warrant can generate this type of circumstance, but we are looking for peace, not war.”

A military campaign launched in 2006 under former President Felipe Calderón led to violent turf battles and escalating homicide rates as cartels splintered. More than 130,000 people are listed as missing in Mexico, where much of the violence is linked to cartels that traffic narcotics to the United States. In the 2024 election cycle alone, at least 37 candidates were assassinated, more than the rest of the world combined.

When including party officials, activists, and relatives of politicians, the number of political murders exceeded 80, with more than 330 recorded incidents of targeted violence against political figures during the campaign period and over 550 candidates officially requesting state protection due to credible death threats.

The reality in 2026 is that while the federal government can carry out surgical strikes against top cartel leaders, the cartels retain deep-rooted control at the local level through intimidation and “plata o plomo,” accept payment and comply, or resist and be killed. They are known to exert influence over high-ranking members of the army and police, as well as judges and elected officials, through corruption or threats of violence. The sheer volume of political assassinations is widely cited by international analysts as evidence that state authority is compromised.

That erosion of state power is now visible in the judicial reforms. By shifting to a system in which judges are elected by popular vote, U.S. State Department officials warn that the judiciary becomes even more vulnerable to the same “plata o plomo” pressures that already shape political races.

In a country where cartels can determine whether candidates live or die, the ability to influence judicial elections effectively gives criminal organizations the power to entrench their own impunity. Legal analysts argue this is not speculative but a structural shift that risks formalizing cartel influence over the highest courts in the country.

If Sheinbaum actually sues Musk for libel, he can use truth as his defense. In the United States, truth is a complete defense. If Elon Musk can prove that his statement is substantially true, the case is dismissed.

Under the substantial-truth doctrine, a defendant does not have to prove that every minor detail is 100 percent accurate. He only has to prove that the gist or the sting of the statement is true. Most likely the lawsuit will never happen, but if it did and Musk won, she still would not admit that she is owned by the cartels, certainly not without permission.

Trump Supporter CRASHES Democrat’s Tiny State of The Union Counter-Rally | Drew Hernandez

Man in a red cap laughing joyfully next to an inflatable green frog costume, showcasing a fun and playful atmosphere.

Democrats and allied progressive groups staged a “State of the Swamp” event in Washington, D.C., as a theatrical counter‑program to President Donald Trump’s 2026 State of the Union address on Tuesday night. The gathering featured the Portland Frog Brigade, whose members packed the National Press Club in inflatable frog costumes as organizers framed the night as “joyful, radical, peaceful resistance” to the Trump agenda.

Video from the event shows a man identified as performance artist Louis Robert Potylo taking the stage in a full giraffe suit and shouting to the crowd about his history of clashes with immigration authorities. In one clip that quickly spread online, liberal commentator JoJoFromJerz told the audience she had just walked backstage to find “a suitcase full of dildos,” joking on the microphone about wondering what kind of party she had entered.

Conservative outlets seized on those images, describing the scene of inflatable frogs, a costumed giraffe, and the explicit backstage dildo claim as proof that Democrats had turned their State of the Union rebuttal into a clown show.

Separately, Democrats hosted another alternative State of the Union event where Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Salvadoran man at the center of a high‑profile deportation and detention case, was introduced on stage as an honored guest.

At that second event, BlazeTV host and conservative commentator Sara Gonzales was escorted out by security after she shouted that MSNBC anchor Joy Reid was “a loser” while Reid was speaking, an exchange Gonzales later posted about on social media.

Also during the Democrats’ tiny “People’s State of The Union” counter event, while Democrat Senator Chris Murphy was giving a theatrical speech about immigrants, a Trump supporter CRASHED his speech by taking the stage and shouting “GO TRUMP, GO TRUMP” and telling Murphy to his face, “Hey, Murphy, you’re a scumbag.”

Denmark Revokes Residence Permits for Some Syrian Immigrants (VIDEO)

Two men engaged in a serious discussion, with bookshelves in the background, focusing on themes of peace and conflict.

The Danish government has begun revoking residence permits for certain individuals from Syria, including those who have lived in the country for more than a decade and have successfully integrated. According to statements from the Minister of Immigration and Integration, Kaare Dybvad, this measure has been applied especially to citizens from Damascus, a region considered relatively safe, while other areas of the country remain in conflict. The official justification is that many Syrians with temporary protection in Denmark have the opportunity to return to their country and live according to their own principles if they so wish.

The minister also noted that those who do not adapt to Danish society, reject gender equality, or believe that women should not participate in the workforce, might find an environment more compatible with their beliefs in Syria than in Denmark. This approach makes a fundamental principle clear: those who arrive in a country must adapt to its culture, values, and laws, not expect the host society to change to accommodate their own beliefs.

Migration experts consider that this approach seeks to preserve social cohesion and ensure that foreign residents respect the norms and rights that underpin life in Western societies. Denmark makes it clear that offering refuge does not imply tolerating attitudes contrary to its core principles, and that those who choose to live in the country must commit to its laws and values.

The measure also sends a strong message about personal responsibility and the necessity of adapting to the culture of the host country. Freedom and rights in modern societies should not be taken as automatic privileges, but as an agreement that entails respect for equality, the law, and participation of all members of the community, without religious or cultural impositions that contradict these principles.

Latest Polling Has Thicko Jasmine Crockett Up 12 Points on James Talarico in Texas Senate Primary

A new University of Texas poll shows U.S. Rep.  Jasmine Crockett leading opponent James Talarico by 12 points in the Texas Democratic Senate primary.

The survey, conducted between the 2nd and 16th of February and reported by The Texas Tribune, found Crockett at 56 percent and Talarico at 44 percent among likely Democratic primary voters.

The poll sampled 369 voters and carries a margin of error of plus or minus 5.1 percentage points.

Crockett’s advantage is driven largely by overwhelming support from Black voters, where she received 87 percent.

She also led among seniors and voters without college degrees.

Talarico narrowly led among white voters by six points. Hispanic voters were nearly split, with Crockett holding a four-point edge.

Crockett recently suggested that Talarico and his supporters did not support her because of racism.

She explaiend during a recent interview:

The thing that’s not normal is for me too be attacked from the left. That is the new wild wildcard in scenario. It’s just interesting.

I’ve been asked a couple of times a couple of things about it. I look at this specifically as a civil rights lawyer. I’ve seen that sending out ads in darkening my skin, I am just like, I know what this is.

And the reality is that, I woke up a black woman. I was born a black woman. I was a black woman for everyone who doesn’t think I know, just FYI.

But I am not running on the fact that I am a black woman. I’m running on my credentials.”

On the Republican side, Attorney General Ken Paxton and Sen. John Cornyn were statistically tied.

Paxton received 36 percent support, Cornyn 34 percent, with Rep. Wesley Hunt at 26 percent. Neither frontrunner cleared the 50% threshold required to avoid a runoff.

That GOP survey sampled 350 registered voters, with a margin of error of plus or minus 5.2 points. The broader poll included 1,300 registered voters, with an oversample of verified primary voters.

Favorability ratings were mixed. Cornyn and Paxton both had negative net ratings, while Crockett and Talarico posted positive net favorability scores. Hunt also recorded a slightly positive rating.

In the open Republican attorney general primary, Congressman Chip Roy led with 40 percent, followed by state Sen. Mayes Middleton at 38 percent.

The margin of error for that question was plus or minus 5.7 points.

In the Democratic attorney general race, former Galveston mayor Joe Jaworski led state Sen. Nathan Johnson 52 percent to 28 percent.

The poll also showed Republicans and Democrats tied at 42% each on the generic congressional ballot. Among Hispanic voters, Democrats led 50% to 31% in that matchup.

Early voting will begin across Texas from next week .

EMBARRASSING: New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill and Husband BOOED LOUDLY at Devils–Sabres Game Honoring U.S. Olympic Hockey Hero Jack Hughes

Group of fans and presenters at a hockey game, with attendees wearing New Jersey Devils jerseys and a mix of excitement and anticipation in the arena.

New Jersey’s far-left Governor Mikie Sherrill and her husband were met with deafening boos from a packed house of patriotic hockey fans at the Prudential Center during Wednesday night’s NJ Devils game against the Buffalo Sabres.

Sherrill and her husband, former U.S. Navy intelligence officer Jason Hedberg, were introduced prior to the Devils’ matchup with the Buffalo Sabres while honoring Team USA’s Olympic stars, including Devils’ own gold-medal hero Jack Hughes.

But what was meant to be a triumphant “welcome home” moment instead turned into a loud expression of voter discontent.

The Devils had organized the ceremony to honor members of their roster who participated in the 2026 Winter Olympics. Hughes received a hero’s welcome from the hometown crowd.

Hughes, visibly emotional, addressed the crowd:

“I’m so proud and I’m so happy that the men’s and women’s USA hockey teams brought gold medals back to the United States of America.

You guys are making me emotional, but I’m so proud to represent the New Jersey Devils organization. And I’m so, so proud to represent the great state of New Jersey – so proud. From the bottom of my heart, all of my teammates, USA teammates, we just want to thank you guys for all the love and support. We feel it.”

WATCH:

But the festive atmosphere turned sour the moment the PA announcer introduced Sherrill for the ceremonial puck drop.

According to multiple reports, fans unleashed relentless boos as the Democrat governor stepped onto the ice.

One X user, Big Pete NY, posted a clip with the caption: “New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill and husband booed LOUDLY at NJ Devils Buffalo Sabres game.

Orbán Deploys Troops to Guard Critical Energy Sites, Accuses Ukraine of Political Energy Sabotage Amid Pipeline Blackout

Hungary’s right-wing, anti-globalist Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has ordered the immediate troop deployment to secure the country’s critical energy infrastructure, accusing Ukraine of deliberately attempting to destabilize Hungary’s energy system for political leverage.

The announcement comes following an emergency meeting of Hungary’s Defense Council that was convened after oil shipments through the Druzhba pipeline, which traverses through Ukraine, abruptly stopped late last month. According to Orbán, no Russian crude has reached Hungary via the route since that date.

In a video statement posted to social media, the Hungarian prime minister rejected claims made by the government in Kyiv that the disruption was caused by technical damage. He argued instead that the shutdown was politically motivated and designed to exert pressure on Hungary and neighboring Slovakia, both of which have refused to bow to pro-war dictates from Brussels and Kyiv.

“The data clearly shows that this unprecedented halt is not technical, but political,” Orbán said, adding that Hungary “cannot be blackmailed.”

Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó, for his part, echoed the prime minister’s position, stating that the Druzhba pipeline had not been disabled by a Russian strike, as Kyiv has claimed. Instead, he accused the Ukrainian government of intentionally halting transit to influence Hungarian domestic politics and its upcoming election next month.

Szijjártó further asserted that Kyiv’s actions were part of what he described as a broader “anti-Hungarian policy,” suggesting hostility toward Budapest’s independent stance within the European Union.

In response to what he described as credible national security assessments, Orbán ordered the deployment of troops and equipment to safeguard major energy facilities. Hungarian soldiers will now be stationed near power plants, distribution centers, and key dispatch hubs.

Police patrols have also been intensified around designated energy sites. In addition, the government has imposed a temporary ban on drone flights in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County, which borders western Ukraine.

Additionally, Orbán stated that Hungarian intelligence services believe Ukraine may be preparing further actions aimed at disrupting Hungary’s energy system. He did not provide specific operational details but framed the measures as defensive and precautionary.

The dispute, unsurprisingly, has further strained relations between Budapest and Kyiv, while also exposing deeper divisions within the European Union over continued support for Ukraine. Hungary, like its neighbor Slovakia, which is ruled by anti-globalist prime minister Rober Fico, has consistently opposed additional military escalation and has resisted EU pressure to sever all energy ties with Russia.

Slovakia, whose government has similarly pursued a more cautious stance toward the conflict, has aligned itself with Hungary’s position. Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico suggested that available information indicated the pipeline could be operational and questioned delays attributed to Kyiv.

Fico directly criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, arguing that Ukraine should not assume it can dictate terms to EU member states dependent on energy transit routes.

Both Hungary and Slovakia have been forced to draw on emergency oil reserves to sustain refinery operations amid the Druzhba stoppage. Hungary’s energy company MOL has sought alternative supplies through the Adriatic pipeline, ordering shipments from multiple global sources, including Saudi Arabia, Norway, and Kazakhstan.

However, Hungarian officials maintain that these measures are temporary workarounds rather than long-term solutions. They rightly insist that stable and predictable transit routes are essential for national energy security.

The energy dispute has also intersected with broader political battles within the EU. Hungary continues to block the latest sanctions package against Russia, as well as a proposed €90 billion EU loan to Ukraine.

Budapest insists that the veto reflects its defense of national interests, arguing that escalating financial and military commitments to Kyiv place disproportionate burdens on Central European states.

Orbán has made energy sovereignty a central theme of his political platform, presenting the issue as part of a broader choice between “war and peace.” He contends that continued confrontation prolongs instability and undermines European economic resilience.

Meanwhile, Kyiv continues to claim that repairs to the Druzhba pipeline cannot be completed immediately. Ukrainian officials claim the disruption to earlier damage, though Budapest disputes that explanation.

As the standoff continues, Hungary’s government insists it will pursue diversified energy strategies while resisting what it regards as coercive tactics.

Hungary’s pivotal national parliamentary elections are set to be held April 12th. Orbán’s Fidesz party, which has held power since 2010 and secured a supermajority in 2022, now faces its strongest challenge from the rising EU-backed, centrist-globalist Tisza party led by Péter Magyar—a former Fidesz insider turned critic.

This election has the potential to reshape Hungary’s domestic politics and European politics more broadly, as Orbán’s government has long served as a central node in the Europe-wide national-populist movement.
