White House Says Spain Caved to President Trump After He Threatened to Ban All Trade with Spanish Government – SPAIN RESPONDS!

White House press briefing discussing the impact of the Iran war on oil prices, featuring a spokesperson addressing the media.

The White House on Wednesday said Spain caved to President Trump after he threatened to ban all trade with the Spanish government.

Earlier this week, far-left Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares said Spain is going to bar the US’s use of its military bases amid Operation Epic Fury.

President Trump responded by immediately announcing that the US is immediately going to ban all trade with Spain.

On Wednesday, Fox News reporter Jacqui Heinrich asked White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt about the trade embargo on Spain.

“So because Spain is a member of the EU, does that at all put a wrinkle in the president’s plan for a trade embargo with them?” Jacqui Heinrich asked Karoline Leavitt.

Karoline Leavitt said Spain caved.

“It’s my understanding over the last several hours that they’ve agreed to cooperate with the US military!” Karoline Leavitt said. “And so I know that the US military coordinating with their counterparts.”

“Spain heard the president’s message loud and clear,” she said.

WATCH:

Spain refuted Karoline Leavitt’s claim later Wednesday.

“She will be the White House spokesperson, but I am Spain’s Foreign Minister and I tell her that our position remains the same,” Albares said.

‘Not a Churchill’: Failing British PM Starmer Says Trump Has No Viable Plan for Iran After US President Belittles Him in Comparison to Winston Churchill

A man with a solemn expression stands in front of a portrait of Winston Churchill, while Donald Trump smiles in the background.
AI-generated image by Grok – Failing Starmer is no Churchill, according to Trump.

The ‘special relationship’ is frayed under failing Starmer.

US President Donald J. Trump is not taking lightly the decision by leftist-Globalist Keir Starmer of not joining the Iran attacks nor authorizing the use of UK bases for that purpose.

Apparently, thinking about British history, Trump thinks the failing Prime Minister reflects more of the flaws of Hitler-appeasing Nevile Chamberlain than the heroic virtues of a Winston Churchill.

Reuters reported:

“President Donald Trump castigated one of the United States’ closest allies on Tuesday, comparing Prime Minister Keir Starmer unfavorably to Winston Churchill over Britain’s limited support for U.S. strikes on Iran.

‘This is not Winston Churchill that we’re dealing with’, Trump said at the White House, referencing Starmer’s legendary ‌World War Two predecessor.

The Oval Office comments were Trump’s third broadside against Starmer this week as Washington’s campaign of air strikes against Iran stoked concerns among some U.S. partners who see the war as reckless and a violation of international law.”

As a failing British Prime Minister in a state of constant crisis, Starmer felt the blow and is lashing out against Trump and the Iranian strikes.

Today, he has suggested that Donald Trump has no ‘viable’ plan for his war in Iran.

The Telegraph reported:

“The Prime Minister told MPs that Britain could not directly take part in the Middle East conflict without a “thought-through” approach from the US and Israel.

[…] When asked by Kemi Badenoch at Prime Minister’s Questions why he would not authorize the RAF to take offensive action against Iran, Sir Keir replied: ‘What I was not prepared to do on Saturday was for the UK to join a war unless I was satisfied there was a lawful basis and a viable, thought-through plan. That remains my position’.”

A Tale of Two Sentences: Convictions of Tina Peters vs. a Former State Senator and the Unequal Application of Justice – Gov. Polis Weighs In

Last week, a former state senator in Colorado was sentenced following a conviction for influencing a public servant (C.R.S. 18-8-306) and three counts of forgery.  The former charge may sound familiar.  It is the same charge that was used against former Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters in 2024.

Former State Senator Sonya Jacquez Lewis was convicted of the four counts in a Denver District Court in January and sentenced on February 27th.

During a legislative ethics investigation, then-Senator Lewis submitted forged letters of support “written by former aides to refute allegations that Lewis was mistreating her staff” to the Colorado Senate Committee on Ethics, according to a press release from John Walsh, Denver’s District Attorney.

Charging Discrepancies

Lewis submitted three forged letters to a five-member Colorado Senate Ethics Committee panel. Rather than charging her with a felony for each forged letter or each member she aimed to influence, prosecutors pursued just one count of attempting to influence a public servant (alongside three forgery counts).

Tina Peters, convicted under the same statute (C.R.S. 18-8-306), made one misrepresentation to three public servants. Unlike Lewis, she faced—and was convicted on—a separate felony count for each public servant influenced, despite the identical misrepresentation.

Lewis’s three misrepresentations targeted five public servants but yielded only one influencing conviction. Peters’s single misrepresentation of three led to three counts, highlighting stark differences in charging decisions.

Sentencing Discrepancies

There is also a stark difference in how each individual was convicted of their respective crimes.

Walsh stated that Lewis “will now pay a price for behavior that simply cannot and will not be tolerated in our community.”  That price?  Two years of probation, 150 hours of community service, and a $3,000 fine.  The fine will be waived if she completes an additional 100 hours of community service.

Peters, however, was sentenced to eight years and three months for those felony convictions and was denied bond pending her appeal.  The court also fined her $10,750.

Lewis’s charges stem from her attempt to deceive a committee to maintain her position in government, whereas Peters believed she was doing her job as an elected official to ensure the records in her custody were maintained.

Lewis is a Democrat in a state in which her party controls all three branches of government.  Peters is a Republican.

In an article titled “Same Statute, Different Outcomes”, Colorado-based journalist Ashe Epp writes:

Colorado Appellate precedent — particularly People v. Knox (2019 COA 152) — permits multiple convictions under C.R.S. 18-8-306 when the conduct reflects separate “volitional departures,” such as distinct communications at different times. There is no statutory specification or controlling Colorado Supreme Court decision that defines the unit of prosecution under that influence statute. It’s a matter of prosecutorial discretion.

In Jaquez-Lewis’s case, prosecutors used a proceeding-based theory for the influence charge and minimized multiplicity by treating the committee as a single official. In Peters’ case, prosecutors used a recipient-based theory and maximized multiplicity by treating each communication as a separate statutory violation.

Both approaches are legally permissible under existing Colorado doctrine — but it’s the intent of the discretion that is curious.

The influence counts were stacked per recipient in one case, not in the other. In the former, the statutory violations resulted in almost a decade of prison. In the latter, probation.

Epp opines that the disparity in the two cases could be “prosecutorial discretion” but could also be “politicized, asymmetrical outcomes,” noting that the attorney general who oversaw both cases is Phil Weiser, who is running for governor.

The current governor, Jared Polis, who is termed out but anticipated to make a run at federal office, announced on X that he was extending the deadline to apply for clemency.  In doing so, he invoked the comparison between the application of justice in Lewis’ case versus Peters’ case.

It is unclear if Tina Peters will apply for clemency following an impressive appellate hearing in January that is still pending.

BRUTAL: Karoline Leavitt DESTROYS CNN’s Kaitlan Collins for Claiming Pete Hegseth Doesn’t Care About Fallen Troops: “You Know You’re Being DISINGENUOUS”

Two women in a press conference setting, one asking questions while the other speaks at the podium, highlighting media interaction in a political context.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt delivered a world-class smackdown to CNN’s Kaitlan Collins during a heated exchange on Wednesday morning.

The heated confrontation unfolded when Collins falsely claimed Hegseth had “complained” that the deaths of six U.S. service members were front-page news coverage.

Leavitt, who has become a nightmare for regime reporters, didn’t let Collins get away with the narrative-spinning for a single second.

“That’s not what the Secretary said, Kaitlan, and that’s not what the Secretary meant, and you know it,” Leavitt fired back, looking Collins directly in the eye. “You know you are being disingenuous.”

The exchange centered on the tragic loss of six U.S. service members. Instead of focusing on the bravery of the fallen or the administration’s support for the families, Collins attempted to frame the Pentagon’s frustration with media sensationalism as an attack on the soldiers themselves.

Leavitt wasn’t having it. She pointed out the undeniable truth that the American people see every day: CNN exists solely to destroy President Donald Trump.

The highlight of the exchange came when Leavitt dismantled the “objective” facade of the network. When Collins tried to claim that covering troop deaths isn’t political, Leavitt dropped the hammer regarding CNN’s plummeting relevance.

Karoline Leavitt:
There is not—we’ve never had a Secretary of Defense who cares more—

Kaitlan Collins:
He’s trying to get through where tragic things happen. It’s front-page news. I get it. The press only wants to make the president look bad. We cover the deaths of U.S. service members under every president.

Karoline Leavitt:
The press does only want to make the president look bad. That’s it. That’s a fact—especially you. Listen to me—especially you and especially CNN. And the Secretary of Defense cares deeply about our warfighters and our men and women in uniform. He travels all across this country to meet with them, to connect with them, and your network has hardly ever probably reported on that.

You also had the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, Chairman McCain, who’s a brave patriot, standing alongside the Secretary at the Pentagon this morning, again expressing his condolences to these families. And I just told you that the President of the United States will be attending their dignified transfer. So please—

Kaitlan Collins:
[We are covering] the dignified transfer. That’s not making the president look bad; that’s showcasing that.

Karoline Leavitt:
We expect you to cover that, as you should. We expect you to cover that, as you should, Kaitlan. But you and your network know that you take every single thing this administration says and try to use it to make the president look bad. That is an objective fact.

Kaitlan Collins:
I don’t think covering troop deaths is trying to make—

Karoline Leavitt:
If you’re trying to argue right now that CNN’s overwhelming coverage is not negative of President Donald Trump, I think the American people would tend to agree—and your ratings would tend to disagree with that as well.

British journalist, broadcaster, and former politician, Alex Phillips, unloaded on the UK government under Prime Minister Keir Starmer in a segment on Talk (formerly TalkTV) on March 3rd.

Phillips discussed the current actions in Iran, noting the UK’s lack of a prepared military, including the failure to promptly deploy a naval ship to protect Cyprus (specifically its sovereign military base at RAF Akrotiri) during the ongoing Iran conflict. An Iranian-made drone struck RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus, damaging the runway but causing no casualties.

Initially, Starmer limited British base use to defensive operations only, but later U-turned to allow US forces limited access for strikes on Iranian missile sites/launchers in “collective self-defence.”

On March 3, in response to the drone strike and growing threats, the UK announced the deployment of HMS Dragon (a Type 45 air-defence destroyer equipped with Sea Viper missiles for anti-missile/drone roles) to the eastern Mediterranean, along with two Wildcat helicopters fitted for counter-drone operations. The ship, however, in planned maintenance and will take time to arrive.

Phillips noted that action in Iran should have been obvious to anyone paying attention, and Starmer’s incompetence and failure of planning, intelligence, and foresight have left the UK’s interests in peril.

“It horrifies me to read that. And Jake is right, our amazing armed forces deserve all the credibility, they deserve good resources, they deserve to have our full support, they deserve to be protected, for crying out loud. We were exposed out there. We knew that there was going to be war in that region, and we have left them undefended,” Phillps stated. “And now France and Greece are having to run to our rescue.”

“Do you know what? I’ve got a message not just for this Prime Minister, but all of you, all of you, for the past 20 years, you have been self-indulgent. You have been naive. Your policy principles have had totally the wrong priorities. It’s been about keeping your seats, gaining your seats, pandering to communities who will never vote for you, who do not have our interests at heart.”

“You didn’t stop those pro-Palestine marches. You didn’t prescribe the Muslim Brotherhood. You didn’t prescribe the IRGC. You were weak in support of Israel. You sabotaged our self-sufficiency when it comes to energy production, concreting those oil wells, banning exploratory drilling in the North Sea.”

“What on earth do you think you’re doing? You’re domestic terrorists!  You’re sabotaging this nation. You’re compromising food security by attacking the farmers. Well, guess what? When international maritime shipping routes close down, food can no longer reach our island.”

“Everything that this government, and quite frankly previous governments, have been doing for far too long now has been pathetic. It’s been weak-willed. It has had its eye off the ball. It has been narcissistic. It’s been about looking good in public. And at the same time, you have put Britain in a desperately precarious situation.”

“You’ve flooded this land with foreign enemies. You have not secured our borders because of pandering to out-of-date, not fit for purpose international law and treaties that belong in the dustbin of history, that defend our enemies and straitjacket our ability to defend ourselves.”

“You have bowed down at the altar to every single dangerous, perilous, pathetic, and weak woke ideology out there, filling up your shopping cart, showering yourself in faux moral glory. Well, look at where we are now.”

“We’re not able to defend our RAF base. We are completely out of the picture, not trusted by our allies. In fact, they’re having to rush to our defense.”

“We’ve got the highest energy prices in the world, and guess what? With the cost of gas going up 90%, we’re gonna be hit hard.”

“Qatar, the one person who was supplying us with liquefied natural gas, well, they’re not going to be able to anymore. And are we self-sufficient? Are we resilient? No! Because everyone who’s been in power just thinks war is a distant thing that won’t happen to them.”

“What is more important is rainbow lanyards and pronouns. You’re pathetic! Look what you’ve done to this country, the lot of you, for crying out loud! Right, got that off my chest, didn’t I?”

DEVELOPING: President Trump to Announce His Endorsement in Texas Senate Race – Will Ask Either Ken Paxton or RINO John Cornyn to Drop Out

President Trump on Wednesday said he will be making an endorsement soon in the Texas Senate race in Ken Paxton vs John Cornyn.

Since neither candidate received more than 50% of the vote on Tuesday night, there will be a runoff election for the Republican Senate race.

Trump said he will be asking the candidate that he doesn’t endorse to drop out of the race.

“The Republican Primary Race for the United States Senate in the Great State of Texas, a State I LOVE and won 3 times in Record Numbers (the HIGHEST vote ever recorded, by far!!!), cannot, for the good of the Party, and our Country, itself, be allowed to go on any longer. IT MUST STOP NOW!” Trump said.

“We have an easy to beat, Radical Left Opponent, and we have to TOTALLY FOCUS on putting him away, quickly and decisively! Both John and Ken ran great races, but not good enough. Now, this one, must be PERFECT! My Endorsements within the Republican Party have been virtually insurmountable! It is such an honor to realize and say that almost everyone I Endorse WINS, and wins by a lot, especially in Texas!” Trump said.

“I will be making my Endorsement soon, and will be asking the candidate that I don’t Endorse to immediately DROP OUT OF THE RACE! Is that fair? We must win in November!!! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP,” he said.

Ken Paxton, a staunch conservative and MAGA favorite

Paxton is well known for fighting election fraud in the state of Texas.

Ken Paxton also filed the lawsuit in 2020, contesting the election in four states where Biden reportedly defeated President Trump with mysterious late-night ballot drops. 126 US representatives supported Paxton’s case. 23 states joined Paxton and Texas in the lawsuit.

The GOP establishment is behind Cornyn.

Last summer, the worthless National Republican Senatorial Campaign (NRSC), a horrible RINO conglomerate that regularly refuses to fund popular pro-Trump candidates like Rick Scott, Ted Cruz, and Kari Lake – endorsed Cornyn.

Mitch McConnell and the NRSC have dumped millions into Trump-hating RINO campaigns.

(VIDEO) Rep. Brandon Gill Forces Tim Walz to Admit He’s Responsible for Fraud in Minnesota, DESTROYS Him for Retaliating Against Whistleblowers

Two men engaged in a serious discussion during a legislative session, with one representing the government and the other a committee member.

Two men engaged in a serious discussion during a legislative session, with one representing the government and the other a committee member.

Rep. Brandon Gill backed Minnesota Governor Tim Walz into a corner on Wednesday during a House Oversight Committee hearing, where he forced Tim Walz to squirm on questions about the fraud and retaliation against whistleblowers in Minnesota.

Notably, he forced Walz to admit to the staggering inflation of Medicaid claims and that the numbers don’t make any sense. Walz even agreed that, as Governor, he is responsible for any tax dollars defrauded from the people.

After establishing that Walz was either complicit or grossly incompetent in allowing billions of dollars to be stolen through programs like autism assistance, which saw a 500-fold increase over a six-year period, Gill tore into Walz for his administration’s retaliation against whistleblowers.

While Walz did not admit that Minnesota retaliated against countless individuals who attempted to highlight fraud, Walz was scrambling while attempting to deny that whistleblowers had their reputations destroyed.

“You supervise a lot of employees, and as you have said, the buck stops with you, and your administration has treated whistleblowers like absolute dirt, and that’s a big reason why we’ve seen so much of our hard-earned tax dollars defrauded,” Gill said as Walz tried to deny all responsibility for how other state agencies have treated whistleblowers.

“This committee has spoken to nearly 30 whistleblowers, most of which are current employees in your administration, who have intimate knowledge of what’s been going on, who have all stated that they faced retaliation for calling out fraud,” he added.

WATCH:

Gill: Using 2018 as a baseline, do you know what that program [early intensive development on behavioral intervention benefit] paid in Medicaid claims?

Walz: I do not, Congressman.

Gill: It’s about $671,000. Do you know what that program paid in Medicaid claims in 2024?

Walz: I don’t have the number in front of me.

Gill: $342 million. That’s about a 500x increase over six years. Was there 500 times the number of autism patients in that time period?

Walz: I couldn’t speak specifically to it, but I will say, Congressman, that—

Gill: That doesn’t sound reasonable, right? That was a 500x increase in the number of autism patients in six years, right?

Walz: Correct, and that’s why we ordered on site visits, starting backin 2024.

Gill: So, we agree that that doesn’t sound reasonable. Would you also agree that a single taxpayer dollar wasted on fraud is a dollar too much to tolerate?

Walz: Yes.

Gill: Yep. And would you agree that, as governor, ultimately, you’re responsible if tax dollars are defrauded?

Walz: Yes, I would agree.

Gill: Would you also agree that calling somebody racist is a serious accusation?

Walz: If they are racist? I think it’s pretty accurate.

Gill: I’m asking you, is that a serious accusation to make about somebody?

Walz: I think it’s just an observation of reality.

Gill: All right, well, let’s go there. Is it racist for a government official to identify fraud?

Walz: No.

Gill: No. Is it Islamophobic to identify fraud?

Walz: No, I don’t believe it would be.

Gill: How come multiple whistleblowers have said that your administration told them not to say anything about widespread fraud across multiple agencies because doing so would be considered racist or Islamophobic?

Walz: I can’t speak to it because it’s not anything I would say.

Gill: Well, that’s what your administration has said and has told whistleblowers, and as you just testified, the buck stops with you. It’s what you stated in your statement, whenever you announced you weren’t running again. Are you familiar with Faye Bernstein?

Walz: Yes, I’m familiar with the name.

Gill: She’s a Democrat, isn’t she?

Walz: I wouldn’t know that.

Gill: She’s stated publicly that she’s a Democrat. She’s only voted Democrat in her life. She’s also stated publicly that she was retaliated against and called racist and that her work responsibilities were diminished whenever she was highlighting fraud within your administration. Are you familiar with that?

Walz: I couldn’t speak to that specific allegation.

Gill: Why do you think she would say that?

Walz: I can’t speak to what she claimed.

Gill: You have no idea?

Walz: I do not.

Gill: You would agree that the tone in your administration comes from you ultimately, right? The tone of how you might deal with whistleblowers.

Walz: Right, we protect them.

Gill: It doesn’t sound like you’re protecting them. We heard from Representative Kristin Robbins quote, We have dozens of credible whistleblower reports saying the exact same thing that people were told not to say anything because they’d be called racist or Islamophobic, or it would hurt the state. Do you think it’s racist or Islamophobic to highlight and try to stop fraud?

Walz: It is not, and I certainly wouldn’t—

Gill: It’s not, but that was the message your administration was sending to multiple whistleblowers.

Walz: I can’t speak to that.

Gill: You can’t speak to that? No, you don’t want to speak to that, I think.

Walz: I have over 40,000 employees–

Gill: Do you think whistleblowers should be retaliated against?

Walz: Absolutely not. They have strong protections in Minnesota, and lots of pass–

Gill: That’s not what we’re hearing from whistleblowers. Faye Bernstein, who, again, has stated that she is a Democrat, she’s only ever voted Democrat, says—

Walz: That doesn’t matter whether she’s Democrat or Republican.

Gill: That she was subjected to quote, ‘a smear campaign’ for trying to make leadership aware of illegal contracting practices. Why do you think that happened?

Walz: I can’t speak to that Congressman because we don’t do it.

Gill: You just don’t, you don’t know anything?

Walz: I do know that it, that we don’t— we have strong whistleblower protections, and I can’t speculate—

Gill: That’s not what the whistleblowers are saying. According to another report, quote, there’s just a continuous effort to stifle you, to shut you up, and it’s impossible to overcome. Your administration’s response to whistleblowers has also been described as, quote, nearly unbearable retaliation. We’ve heard claims that, quote, they’ve been denied vacations, promotions, and that it’s hurt people’s careers to speak out against fraud. Do you think that that had something to do with the prevalence of fraud in your administration?

Walz: I can’t speak to it, but it doesn’t happen.

Gill: Are you going to take responsibility for this?

Walz: I certainly— I supervise 40,000 employees. State agencies have their own—

Gill: You supervise a lot of employees, and as you have said, the buck stops with you, and your administration has treated whistleblowers like absolute dirt, and that’s a big reason why we’ve seen so much of our hard-earned tax dollars defrauded.

Walz: There’s, look, Congressman, I told you, we have strong protections. We have an office of—

Gill: This committee has spoken to nearly 30 whistleblowers, most of which are current employees in your administration, who have intimate knowledge of what’s been going on, who have all stated that they faced retaliation for calling out fraud.

Walz: I can’t speak to them and what they felt.

“What is a Woman?” – Nancy Mace Humiliates Tim Walz During Hearing Over Somali Fraud (VIDEO)

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Attorney General Keith Ellison testify at a congressional hearing regarding the alleged misuse of federal funds in Minnesota.

GOP Rep. Nancy Mace humiliated Minnesota Governor Tim Walz during Wednesday’s hearing over Somali fraud.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Attorney General Keith Ellison testified today before the House Oversight Committee on the massive amount of welfare fraud in the state.

The hearing, entitled “Oversight of Fraud and Misuse of Federal Funds in Minnesota: Part II,” will allow lawmakers to examine Walz and Ellison’s role in covering up the billions of dollars in fraud involving federal funds in their state.

Investigative journalist Nick Shirley recently exposed more than $110 million in Somali fraud in Minnesota in one day.

An angry Somali woman ‘working’ at a daycare – with no children inside – slammed the door as journalist Nick Shirley asked some simple questions about the so-called children’s center.

Another Somali learning center couldn’t even spell ‘learning’ correctly.

Screencap of Twitter/X video.

Tim Walz announced he won’t be seeking reelection after Nick Shirley’s investigative reporting exposed the Somali fraud.

Mace went after Tim Walz on Wednesday.

“What is a woman? Have you learned that lesson?” Nancy Mace asked Walz.

Walz lashed out at Mace and replied, “I’m not here to be your prop for your obsession!”

Mace hit back hard, saying, “If you can’t define woman, you certainly can’t define fraud!”

Nancy Mace then showcased the fraud and theft involving state funds allocated to autism programs.

WATCH: “Why Didn’t You Tell the Truth?” – Rep. Jim Jordan Tears Into Tim Walz for Lying and Allowing Somalis to Commit Fraud for Their Votes

Congressional hearing featuring Mr. Jordan questioning Governor Walz, highlighting a tense exchange on key policy issues.

Congressional hearing featuring Mr. Jordan questioning Governor Walz, highlighting a tense exchange on key policy issues.

Rep. Jim Jordan tore into Minnesota Governor Tim Walz on Wednesday during a House Oversight Committee hearing, catching him in multiple lies as he attempted to deflect blame for his involvement in one of the Somali fraud schemes in Minnesota.

Jordan pressed Walz on the Feeding Our Future fraud. This is another $250 million COVID fraud scheme, which the Department of Justice described as the largest “in the country.”

At least 79 defendants have been federally charged in the scandal, which Walz and Ellison allowed to operate in their state as they seemingly received kickbacks.

One of the conspirators has even named Walz, claiming that he and Attorney General Keith Ellison knew about the scheme before the feds opened an investigation. Meanwhile, Walz claims he had no idea this was going on.

But Walz got caught lying, first by a judge in 2022, after he claimed the judge had ordered the state of Minnesota to resume payments to the program that had been suspended due to “serious deficiencies.” Walz told the press that the payments were halted due to fraud concerns but ordered to be resumed by Ramsey County District Court Judge John H. Guthmann, prompting the court to issue an unprecedented press release debunking his lie.

“As the public court record and Judge Guthmann’s orders make plain, Judge Guthmann never issued an order requiring the MN Department of Education to resume food reimbursement payments to FOF.  The Department of Education voluntarily resumed payments and informed the court that FOF resolved the “serious deficiencies” that prompted it to suspend payments temporarily,” the Minnesota court said in a scathing press release.

However, when pressed on his past lie about the funding, Walz testified, “My understanding was the agency believed that the court had required them to make those payments.” He continued to feign ignorance and deny the Judge’s claims as Jim Jordan grilled him on the obvious lie.

Jordan continued his questioning of Walz by referencing Kayseh Magan, a former fraud investigator with the Minnesota Attorney General’s office, who told the New York Times earlier this year, “There is a perception that forcefully tackling this issue might cause political backlash among the Somali community, which is a core voting bloc” for Democrats.

But Walz told the Congressman, “I don’t know who Kayseh Magan is.” He went on to deny Magan’s claim that the decision not to stop the fraud is political, and Jim Jordan eviscerated him.

“85% of people indicted were Somali American, a key voting bloc, and I think that is what drove this whole thing,” Jordan said after grilling Walz.

WATCH:

Transcript:

Jordan: Governor, why didn’t you tell the truth? Why didn’t you just tell the truth about the feeding Our Future program? This program, to my understanding, received $3 million the first year. Within a couple years, it was getting $200 million of taxpayer money. Whistleblowers raised concerns, as the Chairman said, auditors raised concerns, everybody raised concerns. March 30, 2021, the payments are stopped., and a little over a month later, the payments are restarted. Why didn’t you tell the truth about why you restarted the payments?

Walz: Well, Chairman, we did tell you, and Feeding Our Future grew because of the pandemic, and—

Jordan: I didn’t ask that question. I said, why didn’t you tell the truth about why you restarted the payments? The payments stopped because there were concerns, obviously, or you wouldn’t stop the payments, then they restarted a month later. What was the reason for restarting the payments?

Walz: My understanding was the agency believed that the court had required them to make those payments.

Jordan: And that was false, wasn’t it? You repeqated that. You said that, didn’t you? You said the reason you restarted is because the court ordered you to do so. Is that right?

Walz: I don’t believe that is settled yet, to the best of my knowledge.

Jordan: Well, I think it is because the court did something that I just don’t— I don’t know if I’ve ever seen it. They issued a statement, saying you were wrong in what you were saying. This is from the court. It says, Feeding Our Future versus Minnesota Department of Education, correcting reports and statements by Governor Tim Walz, concerning orders issued by the court. Here’s what the judge says: Governor Tim Walz told the media that the Minnesota Department of Education attempted to end payments to FOF because of possible fraud, but that Judge Guthmann ordered payments to continue in April 2021. Next sentence: That is false. So, you said something that wasn’t true. He further states this– Judge Guthmann, the court says this: Judge Guthmann never ordered the Department of Education to resume payments to Feeding Our Future in April 2021 or at any other time. So, I want to know, why didn’t you tell the truth?

Walz: Congressman, the attorneys at the Department of Education interpreted that differently. Both of those judges are no longer on the bench, and—

Jordan: Let me just read the very first sentence, the first seven words. This is not some unnamed source, talking to the New York Times. It’s not some anonymous source, talking to whatever your Minnesota Star Tribune or whatever your paper is. This is the court speaking. First sentence, first seven words: due to inaccurate statements by the governor, Ramsey County District Court Judge has issued and authorized that this following news released. That’s pretty straightforward. So the court’s lying?

Walz: I can’t tell you, Congressman, but the interpretation–

Jordan: Somebody’s lying, somebody’s lying, because you can’t say the court ordered you to restart the payments, and then the court says we didn’t order you to restart the payments. So, either you’re lying or the court’s lying. And I’m just asking you, which one is it?

Walz: I just simply know what the attorneys at the agency believed that It is a misinterpretation, and I would note–

Jordan: Could it be you were trying to hide behind the court, Governor? Could that maybe be the reason why you issued the statements you did, and why the court had to do something you never see done before? They issued of press statement saying you’re wrong, the governor is wrong. His statement is, their words not mine, false. Could that be the reason?

Walz: That was not the interpretation of the attorneys and you know how court orders work. You can appeal those, congressmen, as you well know. I’m sure–

Jordan: Was it all about politics, Governor?

Walz: No, it’s cert– it’s about taking care of our people.

Jordan: Yet, these programs go from 3 million– the Behavior Intervention program went from $3 million to $400 million in five years. The housing stabilization went from $2.6 million to $104 million. The integrated community supports went from $4.6 million to $170 million in three years. This is unbelievable what’s happening, and you’re trying to hide behind some pretend court order, some court order that didn’t exist. Governor, who’s Kayseh Magan?

Walz: I don’t know who Kayseh Magan is.

Jordan: Well, I’ll tell you. Mr. Magan is a Somali American and a fraud investigator in the guy beside you’s office, in the Attorney General’s Office, and here’s what he said: There was a perception that forcefully tackling this issue might cause political backlash among the Somali community, which is a core voting bloc. Did that have anything to do with this whole fraud scheme that went on in your state, Governor?

Walz: It did not, Congressman.

Jordan: It did not? So, now you’re saying, Mr. Kayseh Magan is a liar, is lying too?

Walz: I’m not–

Jordan: You’re the only one telling the truth in the whole state. Mr. Magan, who’s a fraud investigator at the Attorney General’s Office says it’s politics. The court says—

Walz: I couldn’t speak for Mr. Magan. You asked me a question. And I said no when you asked me the question.

Jordan: I’m saying Kayseh Magan said, just the opposite. So, the court’s wrong, and Kayseh Magan’s wrong. You’re the only guy that’s right. How many people have been indicted in your state right now? Do you know, Governor?

Walz: I don’t have those numbers with me.

Jordan: You don’t? 98 people have been indicted. Do you happen to know how many are Somali American?

Walz: I don’t— We don’t investigate or prosecute people based on ethnicity.

Jordan: Neither do I. We shouldn’t do that. But Mr. Magan is a Somali American, who just said that the core— one of the concerns was this is a core voting block, and I just want to know if you know, how many of the 98 people who have been indicted in your state are Somali.

Walz: I don’t. Their ethnicity is not my concern.

Jordan: 85. 85% of people indicted were Somali American, a key voting bloc, and I think that is what drove this whole thing.

Iran War Enters Fifth Day

The Iran War entered its fifth day on Wednesday, as the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff said the U.S. will start “striking progressively deeper” into Iran.

In a press conference on Wednesday Morning, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth told reporters that “we are just getting started. We are accelerating, not decelerating.” Hegseth added that the war may last longer than previously announced.

“You can say four weeks, but it could be six, it could be eight, it could be three,” he said. “Ultimately, we set the pace and the tempo.” The day before, the U.S. submarine sank the Iranian warship IRIS Dena in the Indian Ocean.

CNN, citing anonymous sources, reported that the CIA is working to arm Kurdish militants in Iran with the goal of fomenting a civil war and general unrest.

Reuters reports that the Pentagon may ask Congress for an estimated $50 billion in extra funds for the war. U.S. defense contractors, including Lockheed Martin and RTX, will visit the White House on Wednesday to discuss new weapons deals to ramp up production for the war.

Many Americans remain stranded in the Middle East as the State Department yesterday urged Americans to evacuate 14 different countries.

The price of oil continued to rise as a result of the Strait of Hormuz’s closure. The AAA national gas price average on March 4 was nearly $3.20 per gallon. US gasoline prices have risen at their fastest pace over the past two days since 2005.

The U.S. Senate will vote on a bipartisan war powers resolution Wednesday afternoon aimed at limiting the president’s ability to wage war in Iran without the Constitutionally proscribed authorization from Congress.
