Britain, France and Germany Say They Could Join Attacks on Iran Through ‘Necessary and Proportionate Defensive Action’

Britain, France and Germany have said they may be willing to join U.S. military action in Iran.

In a joint statement on Sunday, the three countries pledged to protect their interests and those of their Gulf allies, stating the possible need “defensive action” against Iran if required.

“E3 leaders are appalled by the indiscriminate and disproportionate missile attacks launched by Iran against countries in the region, including those who were not involved in initial US and Israeli military operations,” they wrote.

The statement continued:

Iran’s reckless attacks have targeted our close allies and are threatening our service personnel and our civilians across the region.We call on Iran to stop these reckless attacks immediately.

We will take steps to defend our interests and those of our allies in the region, potentially through enabling necessary and proportionate defensive action to destroy Iran’s capability to fire missiles and drones at their source.

We have agreed to work together with the US and allies in the region on this matter.

France has already deployed its Charles De Gaulle aircraft carrier from the Baltic Sea to the eastern Mediterranean in anticipation of joining the operation.

The joint statement came as the U.S. and Israel continued to pound targets across Iran on Sunday, with U.S. B-2 stealth bombers striking ballistic missile facilities using 2,000-pound bombs.

President Trump announced on social media that nine Iranian warships had been sunk and that Iran’s naval headquarters had been “largely destroyed.”

More than 200 people have been killed in Iran since the start of the operation, according to Iranian authorities.

The conflict was triggered by a joint U.S.-Israeli operation on Saturday that killed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, along with the head of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard and a senior security adviser.

The CIA had been tracking the movements of senior Iranian leaders, including Khamenei, for months, with the timing of the strikes adjusted based on intelligence shared with Israeli officials.

Iran retaliated by firing missiles at Israel and the Gulf Arab states. In Israel, a strike on a synagogue in the central town of Beit Shemesh killed nine people and wounded 28.

Meanwhile, the U.S. military reported three service members killed and five seriously wounded.

The Lucas’ new kamikaze drones have their baptism of fire in the first salvo of the war on Iran.

We have been reporting here on TGP about how the attack drones have become arguably the most lethal developments in warfare in the last few years.

One of the most successful kamikaze drones so far is the Iranian Shahed, widely used by Russia (they call it ‘Geranium’ or ‘Geran’) in the war in Ukraine.

Back in May 2025, US President Donald J. Trump demanded from his military contractors that they provide the US military with ‘cheap and lethal attack drones’ like the Shahed.

And that’s how the Lucas drone was developed.

The new ‘loitering munition’ was one of at least three new weapons used by US forces for the first time in the opening salvo of Operation Epic Fury against Iran.

The Telegraph reported:

“Iran-style suicide drones, reverse-engineered from Iranian technology, were used in the attack, US officials said.

A unique black Tomahawk missile and precision-strike missile were also launched, footage shared by the US Navy and US Central Command appeared to show.”

It’s reported to have the ability to find targets beyond the line of sight, ‘including ones that suddenly pop up in front of it’.

“These features make the drones more capable than the variant being used by Russia against Ukraine’s cities and critical infrastructure.

[…] Costing approximately $35,000 [£26,000] per unit, Lucas is a low-cost, scalable system that provides cutting-edge capabilities at a fraction of the cost of traditional long-range US systems that can deliver similar effects,” Capt Tim Hawkins of the US Navy, a Central Command spokesman, told The Warzone last year.”

Israel unleashed a new round of strikes on Iran’s capital of Tehran on Sunday evening (Monday morning local time).

Iran retaliated after US and Israel eliminated the country’s Supreme Leader this weekend.

Israel responded by bombing Tehran on Saturday evening.

“From here, the regime’s control over the city of Tehran was directed during the protests,” an Israeli intelligence official told Fox News.

“During the protests, the commander of the Revolutionary Guards (whom we eliminated yesterday) came to this specific location and commanded the massacring of protesters.”

Tehran was under bombardment again on Sunday evening.

Israel also bombed Beirut, Lebanon, early Monday morning local time.

Hezbollah took credit for a strike against Israel on Sunday.

Israel responded by bombing Lebanon’s capital, Beirut.

In other developments, Israel launched strikes on Lebanon’s capital, Beirut, after the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah fired missiles across the border early Monday.

It was the first time in more than a year that Hezbollah has claimed a strike against Israel. The Israeli military said it intercepted a projectile that crossed the border and that several others fell in open areas. No injuries or damage were reported.

Hezbollah said in a statement that the strikes were carried out in retaliation for the killing of Khamenei and for “repeated Israeli aggressions.”

Rep. Brandon Gill (R-TX) on Sunday called for a ban on immigration from Islamic nations, highlighting the harm it has brought to our country over the decades in the aftermath of the terrorist attack by a Senegalese immigrant in Texas on Sunday. 

As The Gateway Pundit reported earlier, authorities received a call at 1:59 am for the shooting at Buford’s Bar on West Sixth Street near the University of Texas-Austin, and the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force was on the scene investigating it as a terrorist attack on Sunday morning.

This came after the US began Operation Epic Fury in Iran on Saturday, effectively eliminating the Iranian Regime.

The shooter was later identified as 53-year-old Ndiaga Diagne, a naturalized immigrant from Senegal, who was living in Pflugerville, Texas, after becoming a naturalized citizen in 2013 under Obama.

The Islamic terrorist became a citizen under Obama despite having a history of multiple arrests after entering the US, and he committed the attack on Americans wearing a hoodie that read “Property of Allah.”

Gill posted on X, following Diagne’s identification, slamming “elitist policymakers who cheered mass immigration in the name of diversity, multiculturalism, cheap labor and political correctness” and calling for the end of immigration from the Islamic world.

Gill further noted that the children and grandchildren of the Third World aliens that have been shipped in to replace America’s European heritage will “live in a country that’s unrecognizable and far worse off,” noting that the destruction of our nation’s culture through immigration replaces American heritage with “terrorism and social dysfunction.”

“No more immigration from the Islamic world,” he added. “WAKE UP.”

You can thank decades of contemptible, elitist policymakers who cheered mass immigration in the name of diversity, multiculturalism, cheap labor and political correctness.

And now their children and grandchildren will live in a country that’s unrecognizable and far worse off.

How does immigration from Senegal – or anywhere in the Islamic world – benefit Americans? It doesn’t. It brings terrorism and social dysfunction into our own communities, while fundamentally altering America’s cultural fabric. Islamic terrorism is in America SOLELY because of immigration. It was a policy choice to import it.

No more immigration from the Islamic world.

WAKE UP

Just look at what’s happening in Minneapolis and other communities that have been turned into ethnic enclaves across the country.

And while liberals and self-hating Whites claim that America is a “melting pot,” built by immigrants, they conveniently ignore who those immigrants were that landed on ships throughout the building of our new country and later at Ellis Island between 1892 and 1954.

They weren’t the unvetted Somalis, Senegalese, or Middle Easterners being imported into the country today. It was primarily Europeans who built our country after facing strenuous inspections, psychological evaluations, medical examinations, and detention before being admitted. Today, many of our American cities have been destroyed by incompatible cultures and now look like the Third World. Why stop at only banning the Islamic world? 

Gill made a series of follow-up posts on the subject.

“No more Islamic immigration,” he wrote in one.

In another post, he writes, “Immigration isn’t ‘good’ just because it’s legal.”

He later posted a photo of the shooter, mocking the phrase, “Diversity is our greatest strength.”

New details have come to light on the Senegalese shooter in Austin, Texas, who opened fire upon a bar in Texas, killing two and injuring 14 others before he was shot dead by police. 

As The Gateway Pundit reported earlier, authorities received a call at 1:59 am for the shooting at Buford’s Bar on West Sixth Street near the University of Texas-Austin, and the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force was on the scene investigating this morning.

The shooter was later identified as 53-year-old Ndiaga Diagne, a naturalized immigrant from Senegal, who was living in Pflugerville, Texas.

Police reportedly also found a Quran in his car, and he was wearing a hoodie that said “Property of Allah” and a shirt that had Iranian representations on it.

The attack came the day after Iranian Supreme Leader and dozens of top Iranian officials were killed on Saturday in the US’s Operation Epic Fury.

Acting special agent in charge of the FBI’s San Antonio field office, Alex Doran, told reporters earlier that they had found “indicators on the subject and in his vehicle that indicate potential nexus to terrorism.”

Austin Police Chief Lisa Davis further confirmed that a bomb squad was called in to investigate the suspect’s car, but they did not find a bomb.

Davis further told reporters that the suspect never entered the bar, and instead, “He drove by, was firing outside the window with a pistol. Once he exited the vehicle after parking on Wood, he exited with a rifle at that point.”

Fox correspondent Bill Melugin revealed on Sunday that the third-world imported Islamic terrorist was naturalized as a US citizen when Barack Hussein Obama was President in 2013.

He also had a history of arrests while living in New York City from 2000 to 2008, as well as in Texas prior to the incident, per the New York Post.

“Diagne was arrested in 2001 for illegal vending. His other three city arrests are sealed, sources said. Details on his Texas busts were not immediately known,” the New York Post reported.

Ndiaga Diagne entered the U.S. on March 13, 2000, on a B-2 tourist visa. In June 2006, he adjusted to lawful permanent resident (IR-6) based on marriage to a U.S. citizen.

He naturalized as a U.S. citizen on April 5, 2013 under the Obama administration.

In 2022, he was arrested in Texas arrest for collision with vehicle damage.

Congressman Jim Baird’s wife died due to complications from a severe car accident, the representative announced on Sunday.

In January GOP Indiana Congressman Jim Baird, 80, and his wife were severely injured in a car accident.

Baird’s office said the lawmaker’s vehicle was struck.

“Today, the Office of Congressman Jim Baird (IN-04) released the following statement to provide an update on Congressman Baird’s recovery after his vehicle was struck in an accident,” Baird’s office said in a statement earlier this year.

“Congressman Baird is in the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery, and he is extraordinarily grateful for everyone’s prayers during this time. Congressman Baird looks forward to continuing his work on behalf of Hoosiers. The Office of Congressman Baird will continue to provide services and support for those who need it. Congressman Baird and his office remain steadfast in their commitment to serving constituents and focused on advocating for Hoosiers at the highest levels of government.”

On Sunday, Congressman Baird announced his beloved wife of 59 years passed away:

The Office of Congressman Jim Baird is saddened to announce the passing of his beloved wife, Danise, following complications from injuries sustained in a car accident earlier this year.

Congressman Baird and Danise were married for 59 years, building a life centered on faith, family, and service. A devoted wife and loving mother of three, she was the foundation of their family and will be deeply missed. We ask that you keep the Congressman and his family in your prayers during this difficult time.

President Trump said Baird’s accident was ‘pretty bad’ in remarks to Republicans at the Trump-Kennedy Center shortly after it happened.

“I also want to send our best wishes to Congressman Jim Baird and his wife, who were recovering from a car accident,” Trump said. “They’re going to be okay, but they had a pretty bad accident, and we’re praying that they get out of that hospital very quickly.”

News of the car accident comes after GOP Rep. Doug LaMalfa of California died suddenly.

LaMalfa’s death, Marjorie Taylor Greene’s resignation, and Baird’s hospitalization narrowed the Republican majority as the 2026 midterms get underway.

Trump Says War Will Continue

In a video posted on Truth Social Sunday, President Donald Trump said that the war against Iran will continue, saying that “our resolve and likewise that of Israel has never been stronger.”

The announcement comes after three American servicemen were killed and five injured in Iran’s retaliation for the U.S.-Israel joint strikes on Iran.

Trump added that U.S. military operations “continue at this time in full force…and will continue until all of our objectives are achieved.” The administration had not yet explained what those objectives are, other than the broader goal President Trump announced late Friday night of bringing ”freedom,” to Iran.

Acknowledging the deaths of the three servicemen, President Trump sent condolences to their families and acknowledged how each made “the ultimate sacrifice for our nation, even as we continue the righteous mission for which they gave their lives.” Trump added that “sadly there will likely be more” American casualties in this war. “America will avenge their deaths and deliver the most punishing blow to the terrorists who have waged war,” Trump said.

Senator Tom Cotton was on “Face the Nation” with host Margaret Brennan to discuss President Trump’s military action in Iran.

“We now turn to the Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Arkansas Republican Tom Cotton,” Brennan said.

“The President of the United States warned the American public that there could be casualties, American casualties. Does that mean the US is putting boots on the ground?” Brennan asked.

“No, Margaret. The President has been clear that what we should expect to see is an extended air and naval campaign that is designed not only to continue to set back Iran’s nuclear ambitions, but most importantly to destroy its vast missile arsenal,” Cotton said.

“One risk of that kind of campaign is that an aircraft could be shot down, and the President would never leave a pilot behind, so no doubt we have combat search and rescue assets in the region that are prepared to go in and extract any downed pilot, but barring that kind of unusual circumstance Margaret, the President has no plan for any kind of large scale ground force inside of Iran,” Cotton explained.

“Are you confirming that it is true that it is the United States that pinpointed his location, leading to his death?” Brennan asked of the supreme leader of Iran.

“No, Margaret, I can’t confirm anything about the intelligence that the United States intelligence community collects,” Cotton said.

Senator Cotton explained that the United States’ intelligence gathering methods are very advanced.

“I can tell you that of course, we have exquisite intelligence collection methods,” Cotton continued.

“Clearly, this operation is driven by intelligence, collected by Israel and the United States, that is once again proven that our nations have capabilities that no other nation on Earth has,” Cotton continued.

“We are seeing some succession planning happening inside Iran. Is this a managed regime change here, or is the United States betting on regime collapse?” Brennan asked.

“First I want to stress what happens next in the days ahead, and probably the weeks ahead. Iran does have a vast missile arsenal, and that is gonna be the priority objective for this military campaign is destroying that arsenal that threaten American troops,” Cotton explained.

“As far as the long-term future of Iran’s government, Secretary Rubio is right. I don’t think anyone can give you a simple answer,” Cotton said.

“We are gonna continue to hit their military capabilities and we are gonna continue to get their senior leadership,” Cotton continued.

Was Iran’s State TV network hacked?

Iranian state media appeared to have been hacked to show President Trump’s address to the world following the US-Israel military operation on Iran.

President Trump addressed the world this weekend and encouraged the Iranian people to rise up and seize control of their nation after the Supreme Leader was toppled.

Early Saturday morning, Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei and more than 40 top Iranian leaders were killed in the US-Israel military operation.

The US also sunk 9 Iranian naval ships.

The US deployed B-2 stealth bombers armed with 2,000 pound bombs that struck Iran’s ballistic missile facilities.

On Sunday, Iranian state media played a video of Trump encouraging its citizens to rise up and take their country back.

After 47 years, the Iranian Regime was toppled. Trump called on the Iranian people to seize control of their destiny.

“Now this is the time to seize control of your destiny,” Trump said before the screen went blank.

Senator Dave McCormick Defends President Trump’s Constitutional Authority on “Operation Epic Fury” (VIDEO)

Senator Dave McCormick was on “Fox News Sunday” with host Shannon Bream to discuss “Operation Epic Fury.” He defended President Trump’s Constitutional authority to carry out the mission.

Senator McCormick pointed out that both Democrats and Republicans for the past 50 years have supported these kinds of missions.

“The President acted completely within his Constitutional authority. For 50 years, Democratic Presidents and Republican Presidents have been making this claim,” McCormick said.

“When President Obama took military action in Libya, the very same argument was made by President Obama and by the way, some of those same Democrats that are now saying President Trump is acting out of line were supportive of the Libya operation,” McCormick continued.

“This is completely within his Constitutional authority. He briefed the Congress as required by the ‘War Powers Resolution,’” McCormick said.

“What we need to focus on now is continuing to support these great young Americans that are carrying out this extraordinary mission,” McCormick continued.

“He says listen, we wouldn’t be here had President Trump not torn up the deal that had been worked out with Iran that was keeping them in check,” Bream said, reflecting on Senator Kaine’s comments.

Senator McCormick pointed out that the Iranian regime has killed numerous Americans. Iran also targets US forces that are within the region, too.

“It’s honestly, it’s almost laughable. This is all political theatre. This is, there is no regime in the world that has more blood on its hands than Iran. It’s killed thousands of Americans,” McCormick said.

“Through the previous operation, we took out and set back their nuclear program significantly, but they have thousands of ballistic missiles, ballistic missile launchers. They use those regularly against US forces in the region,” McCormick said.

“This is a regime that continues to perpetrate violence throughout the world against Americans. Again, no regime in the last 20 years has killed more Americans than Iran,” McCormick explained.

The Senator also explained that President Trump gave the Iranian regime many chances to change their ways before using military force.

“There was a moment where the President gave Iran many alternatives for off-ramps. A peaceful resolution to this,” McCormick said.

“Right now, part of what we are hearing from our sources in the administration is that Iran was continuing to work on its nuclear program, so this is absolutely justified and this is an imminent threat to Americans around the region and around the world,” McCormick explained.
