JUST IN: Trump Heaps Praise on Ex Never-Trumper Mark Levin and Slams His Critics After Megyn Kelly Calls Him “Microp*nis Mark” – “Those that Speak Ill of Mark Will Quickly Fall by the Wayside… THEY ARE NOT MAGA”

Former President Donald Trump embraces a speaker during an event at the White House, surrounded by American flags and an engaged audience.

President Trump on Sunday released a long statement defending former Never Trump Fox News host Mark Levin and slamming other conservative commentators from whom Levin is “under siege.”

“Mark Levin, a truly Great American Patriot, is somewhat under siege by other people with far less Intellect, Capability, and Love for our Country. Mark is Tough, Strong, and Brilliant, hence the nickname, ‘THE GREAT ONE,’ conceived by our MAGA friend, the wonderful Sean Hannity,” Trump said in a late-night Truth Social post.

It can be recalled that Mark Levin, who endorsed Ted Cruz for President, was one of the most prominent Never-Trumpers in 2016. Back in April 2016, Levin came out and declared, “I will not be voting for Donald Trump.”

“And if they piss me off one more time, I’m going to urge millions and millions of you, should he get the nomination, not to vote for him either,” he said. “I’m very serious about this.”

WATCH:

However, today, he is one of Trump’s most vocal supporters, especially on foreign policy and Israel. In December, during a White House Hanukkah reception, Levin put his arm around Trump’s shoulder and said he’s “our first Jewish President.”

WATCH:

Trump’s latest comments come amid Levin’s months-long public feud with other right-wing podcasters, including Megyn Kelly, Jack Posobiec, Steve Bannon, and Tucker Carlson. The barb trading with Megyn Kelly came to a head on Sunday, when Kelly called Levin “Microp*nis Mark” and suggested that he is easily triggered by her because of “his microp*nis.”

“Poor Megyn Kelly.  An emotionally unhinged, lewd, and petulant wreck.  She’s completely revealed and destroyed herself. She’s everything people say she is, but much worse.  Never an intelligent, thoughtful, or substantive comment. Utterly toxic,” Levin said on X.

“Microp*nis Mark @marklevinshow thinks he has the monopoly on lewd. He tweets about me obsessively in the crudest, nastiest terms possible. Literally more than some stalkers I’ve had arrested. He doesn’t like it when women like me fight back. Bc of his microp*nis,” Kelly responded.

Now, many are speculating that Levin went running to Trump for support after Kelly’s brutal roast. National Pulse editor Raheem Kassam said it’s “almost certainly true” that “Levin called Trump or someone close to him and complained that Megyn Kelly said he had a microp*nis.”

“Those that speak ill of Mark will quickly fall by the wayside, as do the people whose ideas, policies, and footings are not sound,” Trump said.

“THEY ARE NOT MAGA, I AM, and MAGA includes not allowing Iran, a Sick, Demented, and Violent Terrorist Regime, to have a Nuclear Weapon to blow up the United States of America, the Middle East and, ultimately, the rest of the World. MAGA is about stopping them cold, and that is exactly what we are doing. GOD BLESS OUR GREAT MILITARY, WHICH I HAVE REBUILT SINCE THE BEGINNING OF MY FIRST TERM, TO ACHIEVE EVERLASTING PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

Mark Levin, a truly Great American Patriot, is somewhat under siege by other people with far less Intellect, Capability, and Love for our Country. Mark is Tough, Strong, and Brilliant, hence the nickname, “THE GREAT ONE,” conceived by our MAGA friend, the wonderful Sean Hannity, after years of dealing with Mark in Legal, Media, and other capacities. Mark would often do Sean’s show, speaking as a lawyer, and Sean realized then, as did others, that he was special. Mark Levin was not looking to do Television, Radio, or anything else, but he was drafted by very smart people who understood that there are few like him.

He is a true Conservative, and Intellect, far smarter than those who criticize him but, above all, he is a man of Great Wisdom and Common Sense who truly loves our Country. When you hear others unfairly attack Mark, remember that they are jealous and angry Human Beings, whose “sway” is much less than the Public understands, and will, now that they know where I stand, rapidly diminish. Other than for his wonderful wife and family, Mark Levin only cares and wants one thing, GREATNESS AND SUCCESS FOR AMERICA! Those that speak ill of Mark will quickly fall by the wayside, as do the people whose ideas, policies, and footings are not sound.

Trump Issues Brutal Warning to Freeloading NATO Allies — Help Secure the Vital Strait of Hormuz or Face a “Very Bad” Future

President Donald Trump delivered a blunt message to America’s NATO partners this weekend: step up and help secure the vital Strait of Hormuz against Iran or face serious consequences for the future of the alliance.

During an interview with the Financial Times, Trump warned that NATO’s future could be in jeopardy if European allies refuse to support the U.S.-led mission aimed at reopening the critical oil shipping route, which Iran has effectively threatened to close amid the escalating Middle East conflict.

“If there’s no response or if it’s a negative response,” Trump said, “I think it will be very bad for the future of NATO.”

The president’s warning comes as the United States pushes for a multinational coalition to patrol and secure the Strait of Hormuz.

It can be recalled on Saturday that President Trump asked several countries heavily dependent on Middle Eastern energy, including European powers and Asian allies, to send warships, minesweepers, or air-defense assets to protect commercial shipping from Iranian threats.

Trump wrote on Truth Social:

Many Countries, especially those who are affected by Iran’s attempted closure of the Hormuz Strait, will be sending War Ships, in conjunction with the United States of America, to keep the Strait open and safe.

We have already destroyed 100% of Iran’s Military capability, but it’s easy for them to send a drone or two, drop a mine, or deliver a close range missile somewhere along, or in, this Waterway, no matter how badly defeated they are.

Hopefully China, France, Japan, South Korea, the UK, and others, that are affected by this artificial constraint, will send Ships to the area so that the Hormuz Strait will no longer be a threat by a Nation that has been totally decapitated.

In the meantime, the United States will be bombing the hell out of the shoreline, and continually shooting Iranian Boats and Ships out of the water. One way or the other, we will soon get the Hormuz Strait OPEN, SAFE, and FREE!

But so far, many allies have been slow to commit.

Trump has long blasted NATO nations for relying on American military power while failing to contribute their fair share to global security. The Iran crisis appears to have reignited that frustration.

More from FT:

Despite his warning, Trump was pessimistic that US allies would heed his pleas for help.

“We have a thing called Nato,” said Trump, who has often criticised the alliance. “We’ve been very sweet. We didn’t have to help them with Ukraine.

Ukraine is thousands of miles away from us… But we helped them. Now we’ll see if they help us. Because I’ve long said that we’ll be there for them but they won’t be there for us. And I’m not sure that they’d be there.”

Asked to specify the help he needed, Trump said “whatever it takes”. He added that allies should send minesweepers, of which Europe possesses many more than the US.

He also wanted “people who are going to knock out some bad actors that are along the [Iranian] shore”. Trump implied he wanted European commando teams or other military help to eliminate Iranians making “a nuisance” in the Gulf with drones and naval mines.

“We’re hitting them very hard,” Trump said. “They’ve got nothing left but to make a little trouble in the Strait but these people are beneficiaries and they ought to help us police it. We’ll help them. But they should also be there. You sort of need a lot of people to watch over a few.”

Trump isn’t just calling out NATO.

The president is also pressuring China, which relies heavily on Gulf oil shipments, to help reopen the strait, even hinting he could delay a planned summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping if Beijing refuses to assist.

“I think China should help too because China gets 90 per cent of its oil from the Straits [sic],” Trump told FT.

“We’d like to know before that. It’s [two weeks is] a long time.” Trump said, adding that his planned trip to China could also be pushed back. “We may delay,” Trump said.

Aboard Air Force One, President Trump doubled down on his warning to U.S. allies.

“Whether we get support or not, but I can say this, I said it to them, WE WILL REMEMBER.”

WAR IN THE GOP: Rep. Anna Paulina Luna Calls for Primary Challenges Against RINO Senators Blocking SAVE America Act — Urges “Convention of States” to Bypass the Corrupt D.C. Uniparty

Credit: Gage Skidmore / Flickr

Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) is unleashing hell on the spineless RINOs in the Senate who are sabotaging the SAVE America Act, the critical legislation designed to safeguard our elections from illegal alien voters and Democrat fraud.

In a bombshell statement on X, Luna declared war, calling for primary challenges against these traitors to the America First agenda and even advocating for a Convention of States to bypass the corrupt uniparty swamp in D.C.

The Florida congresswoman unloaded on Senate RINOs who are hiding behind the “talking filibuster” to block the wildly popular SAVE America Act, the bill that would finally require proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections.

The legislation, already passed by the House, would require proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote and mandate voter ID nationwide, measures supporters say are necessary to secure American elections ahead of the 2026 midterms

But the bill is now stalled in the Senate, where Democrats are united in opposition, and several RINOs have resisted altering Senate rules to force it through. With Republicans holding 53 seats, the party currently lacks the 60 votes needed to overcome a filibuster.

Luna didn’t mince words:

“The House GOP has a lot of flamethrowers. EVERY SINGLE SENATOR that is HIDING BEHIND THE TALKING FILIBUSTER needs to be PRIMARIED by one of the House members with a spine. POTUS should hold off on endorsing ANY more Senators until they do their jobs!”

As TGP previously reported, Luna exposed Thune’s plan to cave to Schumer and kill the SAVE America Act, calling it “very disturbing” and accusing him of ignoring the will of the people.

She also blew up Murkowski for outright lying about her voting rights record, catching the Alaska RINO in a web of deceit while pushing back against efforts to secure our elections.

Now, with up to 50 House Republicans vowing to halt all Senate business until the SAVE Act passes, Luna is taking it a step further.

She’s threatened to shut down the House floor if the Senate doesn’t act, and she’s urging President Trump to withhold endorsements from any senator who won’t fight for voter ID.

Luna is now endorsing the Convention of States as the ultimate weapon against the deep state.

“It is time for a convention of states. Congress will never term limit itself… and as you are seeing it is broken. Too many of these cats get up to DC and hop onto the uniparty train. The problem is the uniparty doesn’t work for you! It works for special interest.”

This echoes calls from grassroots conservatives who see the SAVE Act standoff as proof that only an Article V convention can drain the swamp for good.

A Convention of States (often called an Article V Convention) allows state legislatures, rather than Congress, to propose constitutional amendments.

The idea stems directly from Article V of the U.S. Constitution, which provides two methods for proposing constitutional amendments: one through Congress and another through a convention requested by the states.

While Congress has used its authority to propose all 27 constitutional amendments in American history, the state-driven convention method has never been used.

Under Article V, state legislatures have the power to request a national convention to propose constitutional amendments if two-thirds of the states — currently 34 out of 50 — submit formal applications to Congress.

If that threshold is reached:

  1. Congress must call the convention.
  2. Delegates from the states gather to propose constitutional amendments.
  3. Any proposed amendment must then be ratified by three-fourths of the states (38 states) before it becomes law.

As of 2026, at least 20 state legislatures have passed resolutions supporting the Convention of States effort.

Some of the states that have adopted the resolution include:

  • Georgia
  • Florida
  • Texas
  • Tennessee
  • Alabama
  • Arizona
  • Missouri
  • Arkansas
  • Utah
  • Mississippi
  • Wisconsin
  • Nebraska
  • West Virginia
  • South Carolina
  • Kansas (the most recent addition in 2026)

Because 34 states are required, supporters still need 14 additional states before Congress would be required to call the convention.

NEW: Trump GOES OFF on SCOTUS and District Court Judge James Boasberg in Series of Scathing Truth Social Posts – Calls for Boasberg to “Suffer Serious Disciplinary Action”

President Trump went off on the “Highly Politicized Court System,” slamming the Supreme Court for ruling against him on tariffs and District Court Judge James Boasberg for quashing a grand jury subpoena for Fed Chair Jerome Powell on Sunday night.

This comes after the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals rejected the Trump Administration’s request to delay the Supreme Court’s ruling on tariffs earlier this month. A Clinton Judge later ordered the Trump Administration to refund $130 billion in tariffs, The Gateway Pundit reported.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, SCOTUS invalidated Trump’s tariffs under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) last month. Still, Trump told reporters that the ruling actually confirms his authority to impose tariffs. “I don’t think the court meant that, but it’s the way it is,” he said.

Led by Chief Justice John Roberts, Justices Neil Gorsuch, Amy Coney Barrett, Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan, and Ketanji Brown Jackson blocked the Trump Administration’s tariffs under the Act. Only three of the five Republicans, Justices Samuel Alito, John Clarence Thomas, and Brett Kavanaugh, dissented.

Trump even accused the justices of being “swayed by foreign interest and a political movement that is far smaller than people would ever think.”

Still, Trump noted the silver lining, telling reporters that “we have other ways, numerous other ways” to tariff foreign countries.

“There will no longer be any doubt, and the income coming in and the protection of our companies and country will actually increase because of this decision,” Trump said before revealing plans to impose sweeping tariffs under a different law.

The President later signed an executive order imposing global tariffs of 10% under Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974, which allows the President to impose tariffs of up to 15% for 150 days with few limitations.

JUST IN: Trump Hits Back at Supreme Court With Executive Order Imposing 10% Tariffs on ALL Countries – Slams SCOTUS Justices and Vows to Bring in “Even More Money Than We Were Taking in Before”

On Sunday, Trump went off on the court again over their decision on the tariffs.

“The Hundreds of Billions of Dollars that our Adversaries want our Country to pay back to others that have disrespected the U.S.A., until I came along, should be marked down, in the eyes of the Public, as just another reason why the United States had been in such major decline — But, not anymore, because we have MADE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN and, very soon, it will be GREATER THAN EVER BEFORE!” Trump said. He further slammed the Republican appointees on the court.

Chief Justice John Roberts, Justice Neil Gorsuch, and Justice Amy Coney Barrett joined Democrat-appointed Justices Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan, and Ketanji Brown Jackson in the ruling.

Justices Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, and Brett Kavanaugh dissented.

“I want to thank Justices Alito, Thomas, and Kavanaugh for their Wisdom and Courage pertaining to the TARIFF case, and for understanding, in addition to the Law, that our ‘Unfriendly Competitors’ should not be reimbursed and rewarded for the decades of Damage they have caused THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” the President said, noting that “The Democrats on the Court always ‘stick together,’ no matter how strong a case is put before them,” but “Republicans do not do this.”

“They openly disrespect the Presidents who nominate them to the highest position in the Land, a Justice of the United States Supreme Court, and go out of their way, with bad and wrongful rulings and intentions, to prove how “honest,” “independent,” and “legitimate” they are,” he continued.

In a separate post, Trump continued going off on the Justices, writing, “The Courts treat Republicans, and me, so unfairly, always seeming to protect those who should not be protected. They are highly politicized. Cases don’t matter, the Judge does!”

He further slammed the “Wacky, Nasty, Crooked, and totally Out of Control” Obama-appointed District Court Judge James Boasberg, calling him “a man who suffers from the highest level of Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS), and has been ‘after’ my people, and me, for years.” Boasberg last week quashed the Justice Department’s subpoenas issued to Fed Chairman Jerome Powell, accusing Trump of weaponizing justice against Powell for refusing to lower interest rates.

“In case after case, Boasberg has displayed open, flagrant, and extreme partisan bias and contempt against Republicans and the Trump Administration. To preserve the integrity of the Judiciary, he should be removed from all cases pertaining to us, and suffer serious disciplinary action, as should numerous other Corrupt Judges that, unfortunately, our Country has had to endure! What Boasberg has done on the ‘Too Late’ Powell case, and many others, has little to do with the Law, and everything to do with Politics. He is exactly what Judges should not be! Boasberg would do better to focus on Justice and Fairness, not his own, and the Democrats’, Political Agenda, which has become LEGENDARY! Much like ‘prosecutor’ Deranged Jack Smith, and many others, Boasberg is a disgrace, as was his predecessor, to our Legal Process, and our Highly Politicized Court System, which was just witnessed firsthand by the unfortunate and unwarranted TARIFF decision, recently handed down by the United States Supreme Court, which was a GIFT to Countries and Companies who have been ‘ripping off the United States of America,’ for decades, at levels never seen before,” Trump said.

Full statement below:

The decision that mattered most to me was TARIFFS! The Court knew where I stood, how badly I wanted this Victory for our Country, and instead decided to, potentially, give away Trillions of Dollars to Countries and Companies who have been taking advantage of the United States for decades. Our Supreme Court has made these Countries very happy but, as the Court pointed out, I have the absolute right to charge TARIFFS in another form, and have already started to do so. The Hundreds of Billions of Dollars that our Adversaries want our Country to pay back to others that have disrespected the U.S.A., until I came along, should be marked down, in the eyes of the Public, as just another reason why the United States had been in such major decline — But, not anymore, because we have MADE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN and, very soon, it will be GREATER THAN EVER BEFORE!

I want to thank Justices Alito, Thomas, and Kavanaugh for their Wisdom and Courage pertaining to the TARIFF case, and for understanding, in addition to the Law, that our “Unfriendly Competitors” should not be reimbursed and rewarded for the decades of Damage they have caused THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. I will fight hard to make sure that this does not happen! The Democrats on the Court always “stick together,” no matter how strong a case is put before them — There is rarely even a minor “waver.” But Republicans do not do this. They openly disrespect the Presidents who nominate them to the highest position in the Land, a Justice of the United States Supreme Court, and go out of their way, with bad and wrongful rulings and intentions, to prove how “honest,” “independent,” and “legitimate” they are. The Democrat Justices just vote Democrat — They always stick together! Our Country was unnecessarily RANSACKED by the United States Supreme Court, which has become little more than a weaponized and unjust Political Organization. The sad thing is, they will only get worse! They wouldn’t even call out The Rigged Presidential Election of 2020, because they said that I, as President of the United States, did not have “standing” to challenge it, and now, with time, it has been conclusively proven to be stolen — And look what happened to our wonderful Nation by allowing a grossly incompetent man, Sleepy Joe Biden, to be our “President.” This completely inept and embarrassing Court was not what the Supreme Court of the United States was set up by our wonderful Founders to be. They are hurting our Country, and will continue to do so. All I can do, as President, is call them out for their bad behavior! This statement about the United States Supreme Court will cause me nothing but problems in the future, but I feel it is my obligation to speak the TRUTH. Thank you for your attention to this matter. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! President DONALD J. TRUMP

The Courts treat Republicans, and me, so unfairly, always seeming to protect those who should not be protected. They are highly politicized. Cases don’t matter, the Judge does! As an example, how is this absolutely terrible Federal Reserve Chairman, Jerome “Too Late” Powell, not even allowed to be investigated for the horrible job he does? How is he allowed to be Billions of Dollars over budget, and years behind schedule, on the simple renovation of the small Federal Reserve Complex in Washington, D.C., where he created an absolute disaster — A money pit, and embarrassment to our Country for the whole World to see! It is a little project that has been under construction for many years. The Contractor on the job, along with Powell, should also be heavily investigated, in that it is impossible for a “professional” to have such enormous Cost Overruns. It is THE HIGHEST PRICED BUILDING, PER SQUARE FOOT, OF ANY PROJECT EVER BUILT, with no end in sight, and may not even be open for many years to come. I strongly criticized Jerome “Too Late” for his horrible performance throughout his tenure, which is either gross incompetence, total dishonesty, or both, and, in return for this well justified criticism, get viciously and wrongfully blamed by, as usual, a Wacky, Nasty, Crooked, and totally Out of Control Judge, named James Boasberg, a man who suffers from the highest level of Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS), and has been “after” my people, and me, for years. The D.C. Circuit eagerly supported the arrest and persecution of innocent Republicans for no crimes at all, but is now preventing even a basic investigation into the gross financial mismanagement of the Federal Reserve. In case after case, Boasberg has displayed open, flagrant, and extreme partisan bias and contempt against Republicans and the Trump Administration. To preserve the integrity of the Judiciary, he should be removed from all cases pertaining to us, and suffer serious disciplinary action, as should numerous other Corrupt Judges that, unfortunately, our Country has had to endure! What Boasberg has done on the “Too Late” Powell case, and many others, has little to do with the Law, and everything to do with Politics. He is exactly what Judges should not be! Is James Fishback the William F. Buckley of Florida?

Is James Fishback the William F. Buckley of Florida?

The National Review founder’s 1965 mayoral run may be a more apt analogy than Zohran Mamdani’s 2025 campaign.

FishbackPortrait

Recent discussion has swirled as to whether James Fishback, the young outsider candidate in Florida’s Republican primary with a penchant for appealing to Gen Z, is a right-wing equivalent of the left’s Zohran Mamdani. Ben Clerkin’s February 20 article at The Spectator posed this question openly under the headline “Is James Fishback the right’s answer to Zohran Mamdani?” But there is a different New York mayoral race that may provide key insights into the potential goals and future of Fishback in Florida politics.

Most know William F. Buckley as the founder of National Review, later as the host of Firing Line, and as an important player in the conservative movement from mid-century to the Bush-era. Fewer know about Buckley’s 1965 campaign for New York mayor as the “Conservative” candidate, which pitted him against the liberal Republican John Lindsay and the Democrat Abraham Beame.

In this race, Buckley had two main intentions. The first intention, in which he failed, was to prevent Lindsay from being elected, so that the state’s Republican party would pivot to the right.

The second of Buckley’s intentions was to rescue the conservative movement from the nadir in which it found itself following Barry Goldwater’s loss in the 1964 presidential election, and to package conservative ideas, especially on urban issues, in a new way that could appeal to voters. Buckley’s campaign was successful in re-energizing the conservative base. As Buckley biographer Sam Tanenhaus commented to The American Conservative, “[TAC Co-Founder] Pat Buchanan told me that after Goldwater’s defeat in 1964 and before Nixon’s victory in 1968, ‘Bill Buckley was all we had. He was the biggest guy.’”

Buckley’s performance and ability to promote conservative positions to New York’s problems enabled conservatives to be viewed as a serious political force worth courting by the Republican party. “Pat Buchanan and Richard Nixon courted Buckley after [the election],” Tanenhaus said. “His influence was akin to Tucker Carlon’s and Steve Bannon’s now, but his status was higher because he commanded the respect of liberal intellectuals as well as conservative ones.”

Fishback’s campaign for governor, while a longshot, has the potential to accomplish similar goals. Fishback has garnered significant nationwide attention due to his support for a variety of conservative positions neglected by the party establishment, from his socially conservative “sin tax” proposal on pornography, to his defense of Florida’s Confederate history, to his criticism of Israel and support for a noninterventionist and America First foreign policy (although on this point he is at odds with Buckley, who sought to replace the noninterventionist right with an internationalist one).

Even should his campaign fail—as did Buckley’s—there is still significant room for it to benefit the conservative movement in the United States. Much as Buckley showed the relevance of conservative solutions on issues such as law and order, Fishback may show the relevance of conservative ideas on subjects, and may push his primary opponents—Florida’s Rep. Byron Donalds and Lt. Governor Jay Collins—to move to the right on these issues.

But, speaking with The American Conservative, Fishback seemed deadly serious that his intention was to win the governorship rather than just to promote his ideas. “The goal of my campaign is simple: serve as the 47th governor of a state that my family has known for four generations. Nothing more, nothing less,” Fishback said. “If I wanted to write a book, I could have written a book. I’ve been on Fox News more times than I can count…. If I wanted to spread a message, I certainly had a platform to do that.”

One similarity between the two campaigns is their light-heartedness. Buckley’s campaign was characterized from its start by its joking tone, with Buckley telling a crowd that if elected he would “demand a recount.” This tone made the campaign appear playful, whilst maintaining its serious intention of spreading conservative ideas “‘Lark’ is more accurate than ‘stunt.’ He didn’t need the attention,” Tanenhaus commented.

Fishback too has attracted significant attention for his irreverent and often joking tone, with many viewing Fishback’s campaign as unserious on this basis. But the candidate himself was very straightforward when asked about his campaign’s tone. “I’m not going to apologize for trolling, and I do troll. What I think is fun about our campaign is we can do both. We dish out jokes, but we can also take them,” Fishback told TAC. “It’s fun.”

The language Fishback deploys varies from bombastic to controversial. This too is similar to Buckley who was known for rhetorical bluster in his campaign. In one instance, after a Vietnam War protest, Buckley declared: “I wonder how these self-conscious boulevardiers of protest would have fared if a platoon of American soldiers who have seen gore in South Vietnam had parachuted down into their mincing ranks.”

His campaign has been accused by others of race-baiting, for instance by referring to the Donalds’s plans to make Florida the “financial capital of the world” (which Fishback sees as a recipe for further financialization) and support for AI data centers as constituting a “dark vision” for the state which has been seen by some as a reference to Donalds’s race. Fishback, however, pushed back against this characterization. “I’m going to fight for you with equal vigor, whether you’re black or you’re white, straight or gay, Christian, Muslim or a Jew,” he told me. “I’m going to fight for you if you’re an American citizen in my state, because you deserve a state that you can be proud of and that you can afford.”

“I do think it is in fact dark to financialize the economy,” Fishback added, when pressed about his “dark vision” comments. “I do think it is in fact dark to tell citrus growers and cattle ranchers that their land will be dedicated to AI data centers. I think that is in fact a very dark vision for the state.”

These accusations of bigotry mirror those made by the critics of Buckley. Lindsay told Jewish voters that Buckley’s statements were akin to “some of the worst moments in history,” in what was widely seen as an attempt to compare Buckley to the Nazis. Buckley, for his part, responded to this in a debate with Lindsay, at one point (possibly in anger, by his admission) comparing Lindsay to the Klan for trying to make Jewish voters afraid of Buckley. “He [Lindsay] is trying to do to the Jewish voters what the Ku Klux Klan has been trying to do to the white people in the South, keep them scared,” Buckley said.

In his 1965 campaign, Buckley was able to attract the support of conservative youth and youth organizations. Most notably, “YAFers”—members of the group Young Americans for Freedom (founded in the Buckley family home in 1960)—volunteered for the Buckley campaign, as did college-age Goldwaterites and Young Republicans disaffected with the party’s support for Lindsay. These young supporters represented a sort of “New Frontier,” a cutting edge of the political right, and their ideas would make up the substance of conservative politics in the subsequent decades: Buckley’s brother Jim was elected senator in 1970, and Ronald Reagan carried the state in the 1980 and 1984 presidential elections.

Fishback’s current campaign has likewise garnered particular attention for relying on young, college-age supporters for its ground game and overall electoral support. “What you’re going to see over the coming weeks is thousands of Gen Z volunteers in our campaign knocking on the doors of people who look like their parents and grandparents making our pitch,” Fishback told The Spectator in February.

One place where Fishback has found considerable support is amongst College Republicans organizations in the state, especially because of his positions on affordability and America First stances on foreign policy. Michael Andre, the president of the University of Florida College Republicans, ascribed much of his popularity among Generation Z to Fishback’s opposition to the war in Iran. “Fishback has taken a very firm stance on that issue, and how he believes that we should not be involved, and that there are foreign actors that he believes might be influencing the decision,” Andre told TAC. “I think that is one of the most important issues that has caused Generation Z to lean in his favor.”

“The other most important is his emphasis on affordability,” he said. “In Florida, we’ve had an influx of domestic immigration, with a lot of people coming from New York, and because of that, housing prices have been going up a lot.”

Local issues also have played a role in Fishback’s popularity. John Aleman, a UFCR member, expressed support for Fishback due to the concern that Florida was devolving into the “world’s dive bar.”

“Florida is not going to be the world’s ‘melting pot’ anymore once our generation is within the ranks of governance, and James Fishback’s campaign seems to understand this,” he told TAC.

Fishback’s comparative popularity among young voters seems to be showing up in some polling, with a recent poll suggesting that Fishback is attracting the support of a plurality (32 percent) of voters 18–34, compared to less than 1 percent of voters over 55.

Florida’s August 18 primary is a long way off, and it is unclear whether Fishback can convert his enthusiasm amongst Generation Z into a primary win in the nation’s fifth most elderly state. Fishback, for all of his popularity among young voters, is still trailing far behind Donalds. But if Fishback is able to garner the support of a significant number of young Republicans, he may very well replicate Buckley’s success in highlighting the issues and stances on which future conservatives will run and win at the state, local, and national levels.

Why Would the Kurds Do America’s Dirty Work?

Why Would the Kurds Do America’s Dirty Work?

Everyone’s favorite Middle Eastern minority has been left out to dry one time too many.

Nishtman Yousefi, a female Kurdish fighter and member of the

Will the Kurds fight the government in Tehran at Washington’s urging, opening a new ground front in Iran? The U.S. seemingly wants them to, but the Kurds and Washington have a sordid history on this topic. What will Kurdish leaders advise their people to do?

Imagine you are one of those Kurdish leaders today, in, say, your mid-sixties. You grew up hearing your elders talk of the collapse of the Ottoman Empire and its division by the Allies. After WWI, the Kurds were given the prospect of an independent homeland with the Treaty of Sèvres. When the Turks rebelled, however, that plan was shelved. Instead, the Kurdish-inhabited lands home to some 30 million people were split among what would later become Turkey, Iraq, Syria, and Iran. Whole nations, such as Iraq, were casually sketched onto a map of the Middle East (within those impossibly straight border lines you see today) to match European power schemes. Although Sèvres and its follow-ons were not signed by the U.S. (which was too weak in the area then to play power politics with the Europeans), the Western abandonment of Kurdish statehood was set: Kurdish aspirations would be subordinated to the geopolitical priorities of stronger states. As a Kurdish young man, these were your early lessons.

The post–Second World War rise of American power did little to make the Kurds feel the West saw them as anything more than cannon fodder. U.S. foreign policy focused on maintaining stable alliances with Turkey and the Shah’s Iran as critical bulwarks against Soviet influence. Supporting Kurdish independence would have threatened those alliances, as both sought to put down their Kurdish minorities. The U.S. briefly sent arms via Israel and Iran to the Kurds, but more to use them as troublemakers to keep Saddam Hussein on his toes. Even that minor effort ended abruptly with the 1975 Algiers Agreement between Iran and Iraq. Iran withdrew its support for the Kurds as part of the border settlement, and the United States followed suit. The episode was the first example that Washington, too, would walk away from the Kurds when geopolitics suited it. Our young man would have heard tales of the fighting, and then of the abandonment in the field by the United States, from the uncles who made it home alive.

The worst of it all came in 1988 when the Iraqi military attacked Halabja, a Kurdish town in northern Iraq, with chemical weapons. Some 5,000 civilians were killed. After Saddam’s military was expelled from Kuwait in Gulf War 1.0, President George H. Bush encouraged Iraqis to rise up against Saddam Hussein. Kurdish groups in northern Iraq rose in violent rebellion. When the United States did not intervene to support the rebels, however, they were brutally crushed. Under pressure, Washington established a no-fly zone in northern Iraq under Operation Provide Comfort, which protected Kurdish areas from the worst of the Iraqi attack. As an unintended consequence, this allowed the establishment of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG). This was the closest Kurds ever came to self-government. Our Kurdish leader was now a man and likely fought the Iraqis himself, believing at first in U.S. support. He was unlikely to have met the retired American Green Beret I did, whose eyes welled with tears years later in a North Carolina bar describing the moment he was ordered to walk away and leave his Kurdish comrades.

During the Iraq War, Kurdish fighters worked side-by-side with U.S. forces to topple Saddam. But in 2005, the U.S.-dictated Iraqi constitution specifically excluded Kurdish independence in favor of a “unified” Iraq. In 2017 the Kurdish people held an independence referendum, which the United States opposed for fear of destabilizing Iraq and antagonizing Turkey and Iran. The United States did not intervene on the Kurds’ behalf when the Baghdad government, now closely aligned with Iran, retook disputed territory, including the oil-rich city of Kirkuk. Our Kurdish leader would have most likely participated in these events, met with American envoys promising independence with fingers crossed behind their backs, and watched as America again weighed regional aims against Kurdish hopes. In the local style he would have referred to the Americans as “my friends” even as he knew the term lacked validity.

One might think that would have been the end of friendly American-Kurdish relations. Instead, another chapter unfolded during the 2014 war in Syria when Kurdish militias became the United States’ most effective local partner in the fight against Islamic State. For Kurdish leaders in Syria, this partnership in blood appeared to again signal long-term American backing for a self-governing Kurdish region. But in 2019 President Donald Trump withdrew many U.S. troops from Syria and allowed Turkey to launch military operations against Kurdish forces it feared had eyes on Turkish border lands.

So spare a thought for our Kurdish leader, now an elder in his group and possibly one of the key leaders who received guests from the CIA recently bearing small arms and maybe a phone call from Trump himself, making big promises. According to one U.S. official, a goal would be to “take over a specific territory in the Kurdish region inside Iran in order to challenge the regime and inspire a broader uprising.”

But unlike those American officials, our man knows his history, having survived it. He is once more being asked to throw his young soldiers into war on behalf of the U.S., hoping this time Kurdish needs will somehow align closely enough with American war aims in Iran to benefit him. Promised air cover, he will weigh carefully any Western history he may recall, such as about the Bay of Pigs, when similar promises were made.
Or will the Turks pressure the U.S. to abandon him again? Will his men just be used as bait to draw out Iranian ground forces? Will a U.S. deal with Iran leave him alone again, useless as spilled water on the sand? No way, many will say, ignoring the sad reality that time after time the Kurds believed America and went into a fight alongside her. When someone writes the next version of all this history, what will the concluding paragraph say about our Kurdish leader in 2026? The Kurds have learned to survive every empire that promised them a nation. The question is whether they have finally learned to distrust one.

Yes, Trump Can End This War

Yes, Trump Can End This War

Getting a ceasefire won’t be easy, but America has leverage the president can use.

With the Iran war going very poorly, President Donald Trump has given increasing indications that he is looking for an off-ramp. He made the mistake of listening to Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and other hawks in the run-up to the war, and now their Pollyannish predictions have all fallen flat. Declaring victory and getting out as soon as possible is far and away the best option available.

U.S. soldiers have been killed and injured, oil prices are skyrocketing as the flow of oil is choked off, Iranian reprisals continue to strike Israel and Gulf Arab countries, and the Islamic Republic—despite absorbing heavy blows—is consolidating support from its base following the killing of the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. In short, the war is largely going according to Iran’s plans. The American people were never convinced of the merits of this war, and the economic impacts have only begun to be felt.

Yet, ending the war is not as easy as simply declaring victory. Key Iranian figures have signaled that they are not seeking a ceasefire and intend to inflict sufficient pain to deter any future attack on Iran. While that pledge is potentially a bluff, Iran does seem to perceive advantages in continuing the war. And time really may be on its side. With damage accruing to America’s sophisticated radar systems and stocks of interceptors depleting, Iran is likely to be able to inflict increasing damage with its missiles and drones as the war drags on. Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian—while likely not driving Iranian decision-making in the war—set a high bar for an end to the fighting that includes a recognition of Iran’s rights, guarantees against future attacks, and payment of reparations.

This means that the playbook Trump relied on after the “12-day war” in June, declaring a ceasefire and pressuring Israel and Iran to follow suit, may not work. Even if it did, there are countless examples—including the sudden halt to the June war itself—of a ceasefire or peace deal simply laying the groundwork for a resumption of hostilities later on.
To avoid a Forever War consisting of repeated short conflicts, the U.S. should start thinking about how to stop Israel from dragging it into Mideast hostilities. Iran is Israel’s main regional rival, but Americans have little to gain and much to lose from recurrent conflict with the Islamic Republic. The U.S. should be willing to use its extensive leverage over both Iran and Israel to move to a more stable modus vivendi and begin to address some of the threats that Trump officials indicated were motivations for initiating the war.

In Iran, decades of punishing sanctions have hobbled what should be one of the most dynamic economies in the world, with currency collapse provoking nationwide protests and a brutal crackdown just two months ago. The economic plight afflicting Iranian citizens has largely been masked by war, but on the ground the cost of vital goods has continued to soar while economic activity has diminished considerably amid bombardment and internet shutdowns. What happens once the war ends? Rebuilding a country of more than 90 million people would require massive investment to rebuild oil infrastructure and the electrical grid, along with other key public goods like schools, hospitals, and airports. Yet such investment is effectively ruled out by America’s far-reaching and powerful extraterritorial sanctions.

The U.S. can put sanctions relief on the table, which would serve as powerful leverage to convince Iran’s recalcitrant leadership to stand down. This could take the form of a general license allowing reconstruction to move forward or sectoral relief that would be more far-reaching.

The extent of sanctions relief could be determined by what steps Iran is willing to offer in turn that address some of Trump’s goals vis-a-vis Iran. Iran would be expected to agree to allow the unfettered movement of oil tankers and other ships through the Strait of Hormuz, which would stabilize the global economy. Additionally, to address nuclear concerns, Iran could invite IAEA inspectors back into its nuclear facilities and provide assurance that it will not weaponize its nuclear program. These would be significant gains if they were achieved, and would be far more likely to prevent a nuclear weapon than the extremely dangerous idea of sending in ground troops to try securing Iran’s old enriched uranium stockpile from bombed-out facilities.

Separately, to mitigate concerns about renewed missile strikes, the U.S. and Iran could agree to a non-aggression pact. Effectively, the U.S. would not strike Iran if U.S. forces and interests are not struck by Iran in turn. If Israel is interested in joining the non-aggression pact, all the better, though it shouldn’t be contingent on the reckless decision-making of Benjamin Netanyahu and like-minded Israeli politicians. And Trump should make absolutely clear to Netanyahu that the U.S. won’t come to Israel’s defense if it launches another war.

By listening to those gung-ho for war with Iran, President Trump made a catastrophic mistake that harms U.S. interests. Fortunately for him, he has significant leverage on his side. Declaring victory and simply going home might not be an easy option, particularly as Iran and Israel have significant votes on the matter. But by using American leverage creatively, he can restore a degree of calm and potentially secure a few modest wins in the name of peace.

Assessing Iran’s Ability to Hold the World’s Oil Supply Hostage

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated on March 14, 2026, that the Strait of Hormuz is open to all countries except the United States and Israel, describing it as closed only to “tankers and ships belonging to our enemies, to those who are attacking us and their allies.”

The statement came immediately after U.S. strikes on Kharg Island, Iran’s main oil export hub. The regime derives most of its revenue from oil exports.

Iran earned $65.8 billion from oil, petroleum products, and gas exports in the last fiscal year, while total government revenues were projected at around $45 billion, meaning oil export earnings alone exceed the entire state budget.

Iran sells about 80 percent of its oil to China. Beijing depends on discounted Iranian crude to reduce manufacturing costs. Iranian crude has traded at around $8 per barrel below Brent.

This discount helps lower production costs at a time when export volumes are at record highs but profit margins have collapsed.

The share of loss-making Chinese manufacturers has doubled since 2018, and producer prices have fallen continuously for more than three years.

While Iran attempts to hold the world’s oil supply hostage, the war is also restricting Iran’s ability to export oil. Iran has sent at least 11.7 million barrels of crude oil through the Strait of Hormuz since the war began on February 28, all destined for China.

However, shipments of approximately 1.22 million barrels per day are significantly lower than pre-war levels. Iran had exported 2.16 million barrels per day in February, the highest level since July 2018.

Iran’s only alternative export outlet, the Jask facility on the Sea of Oman, which bypasses the Strait entirely, has rarely been used. Loading a single Very Large Crude Carrier can take up to 10 days there, compared to one or two days at Kharg Island, making it logistically marginal.

The U.S. struck more than 90 military targets on Kharg Island, destroying naval mine storage facilities and missile storage bunkers, but deliberately preserved the oil infrastructure.

President Trump wrote on Truth Social, “For reasons of decency, I have chosen NOT to wipe out the Oil Infrastructure on the island.” Trump added, “However, should Iran, or anyone else, do anything to interfere with the Free and Safe Passage of Ships through the Strait of Hormuz, I will immediately reconsider this decision.”

Kharg Island processes 90 percent of Iran’s crude exports. A CIA document from 1984 described the facilities as “the most vital in Iran’s oil system, and their continued operation is essential to Iran’s economic well-being.”

Although some people want to believe that Iran is in a position of advantage, it would be extremely easy for President Trump to crash Iran’s economy and take a chunk of China’s economy with it.

Iran’s social-media propaganda accounts are claiming that the IRGC will allow safe passage for tankers whose oil was paid for in Chinese yuan. Accounts supporting the regime are portraying this as the death knell of the petrodollar and claiming that America’s economic power is collapsing.

However, the yuan proposal is largely propaganda and de-dollarization signaling. Iran floated the idea, China’s own analysts warned against it, no country has formally agreed to the condition, and the few ships that have actually passed did not price their cargo in yuan.

The U.S. 5th Fleet, based in Bahrain, is already conducting operations against Iranian threats in the area. At the same time, Iranian missile and drone strike volumes are down 92 percent since the conflict began.

A JINSA report from March 5 stated that approximately 75 percent of launchers were destroyed. Analysts attribute the decline to U.S. and Israeli strikes on launch infrastructure, underground facilities at Esfahan and Ahvaz, airbases, and production sites.

The drone picture, however, is different. Iran’s production capacity before the war was reportedly about 10,000 units per month, leading analysts to believe that Iran could sustain drone harassment in the Strait of Hormuz for months.

However, it is unlikely that Iran is still operating at pre-war production levels. CENTCOM confirmed that it continues to strike Iran’s industrial base, including factories and weapons warehouses.

Even before the war, Iran faced its most severe energy crisis in decades, with frequent power outages and disruptions to natural gas supplies. In summer 2024, Iran’s electricity shortage was estimated at 14,000 megawatts, equivalent to roughly twice the total electricity production of Azerbaijan.

The 12-day war in June 2025 damaged oil storage sites, refineries, and power stations. A year earlier, Israel blew up two major Iranian gas pipelines, disrupting supplies that provide roughly 70 percent of the country’s energy. More than 86 percent of Iran’s electricity comes from gas-fired plants, leaving the country dangerously exposed.

Even before the latest attacks, shortages of natural gas forced authorities to burn mazut, a cheap and highly polluting heavy fuel oil, to keep power plants running.

The initial U.S. and Israeli strikes on February 28 targeted Iranian oil refineries and export terminals alongside military sites, hitting Iran’s own production capacity in the opening hours.

By March 5, the combined U.S.-Israeli force had advanced to a second phase specifically targeting Iranian defense-industrial assets, including missile and drone production facilities.

The IDF issued evacuation warnings for the Abbas Abad Industrial Zone and Shenzar Industrial Zone in Pakdasht, Tehran Province, both key defense-manufacturing areas.

While America-haters are celebrating the IRGC taking such a staunch position against the United States and Israel, the threat has limited practical effect on its stated targets.

The United States imports only about 0.5 million barrels per day from the Persian Gulf, roughly 7 percent of total U.S. crude imports and about 2 percent of overall petroleum consumption, with the vast majority coming from Canada and Mexico.

Israel does not import Persian Gulf crude and has no Israeli-flagged commercial vessels transiting the strait. Nearly all Hormuz oil flows to Asia. China accounts for approximately 38 percent, with India, South Korea, and Japan taking most of the remainder.

In a further blow to Iran’s attempted global oil blockade, Saudi Arabia converted the East-West Pipeline to full capacity on March 11 in response to the Hormuz closure.

Saudi Aramco CEO Amin Nasser confirmed the pipeline will reach its maximum capacity of seven million barrels per day within days, and ship-tracking data shows 27 very large crude carriers heading to Yanbu, with 11 already waiting to load. Yanbu exports have surged to 2.47 million barrels per day, a 330 percent increase over pre-war levels. (S&P Global, March 10, 2026)

The pipeline is a genuine strategic asset but does not eliminate Iran’s leverage over Gulf energy. Saudi Arabia exported 6.3 million barrels per day of crude last year, while the Yanbu facility can handle only about 4.5 million barrels per day, leaving a significant gap.

The shift to the Red Sea creates a new vulnerability, as oil bound for Asia must pass through the Bab el-Mandeb, the strait the Houthis made largely impassable in 2023. So far, however, the Houthis have remained out of the conflict. (Middle East Eye)

The pipeline moves crude, not refined products, and Iran’s drone strikes forced Aramco’s Ras Tanura refinery, Saudi Arabia’s largest at 550,000 barrels per day, offline on March 2, leaving refined fuels stranded regardless of pipeline capacity.

Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain have no bypass options at all. Iraq’s southern output has fallen roughly 70 percent, from 4.3 million to 1.3 million barrels per day, and Kuwait has begun shutting in production as storage fills with no export route available.

The United States and Israel will continue targeting Iran’s drone and missile launch sites as well as its manufacturing facilities in order to reduce the threat to international shipping. At the same time, Iran’s own exports are declining and could be driven to near zero should President Trump decide to destroy all of the refineries and ports.

Meanwhile, some countries will find ways to bypass Iranian blockades. Furthermore, holding the world hostage is not endearing Iran to its neighbors. Despite its massive propaganda machine, Iran is unlikely to garner international support for its defense.

On the whole, the U.S. position appears much stronger than Iran’s, whose position is growing weaker each day.

This may be the first time a country won Women’s hockey gold, Men’s hockey gold, and paralympic sled hockey!

It’s been a rough losing streak for the Canucks!

The most brutal loss the US men’s team defeating Canada in overtime at the Olympics in February.

The US men’s hockey team won its first gold medal in in 46 years!

President Donald Trump spoke from the White House to the U.S. Olympic men’s hockey team Sunday after their thrilling 2-1 overtime victory over Canada to win the gold medal in Milan, Italy.

Wild smartphone video shows the raucous team in the locker room being addressed by Trump over a phone held by FBI Director Kash Patel.

While he repeatedly praised the whole team, Trump singled out Connor Hellebuyck several times for praise, saying he wants to shake his hand.

In the midst of congratulating the team, Trump asked them if they want to come to the State of the Union address on Tuesday, saying he can arrange a “military plane or something” to get the team to D.C. The team enthusiastically accepted and asked if they can be picked up in Miami Tuesday morning.

Patel told Trump, “I got it, Boss, I got it… I’m f***ing on it” and he is “driving the bus” to get them to D.C.

It was an amazing month!

Outrage! Duke University Employees Donate Over 1.6 Million Dollars to Democrat Party and Campaign Committees

In outrageous yet not shocking news according to Campus Reform“, Employee donations to federal candidates and campaign committees in the 2026 midterm cycle confirm the overwhelmingly liberal makeup of Duke University.”

According to The FEC or Federal Election Commission an absurd $1,620,859.80 (97.46%) went to Democratic-aligned candidates.

“42,259.08 (2.54%) went to Republican-aligned candidates and committees.”

“The dollar gap between the two totals stands at $1,578,600.72, meaning that Duke-affiliated donors gave roughly 38 times more money to Democratic candidates and committees than to Republican ones.”

The largest donor was Cynthia Kuhn who is Duke affiliated.

Among the other Democrat donors were a number of professors.

This proves the inherent bias at Duke.

“The largest share of Duke-affiliated employee donations flowed to Democratic committees and progressive PACs. The top recipient was ActBlue, the Democratic Party’s primary online fundraising platform, which received roughly $675,000 in contributions.”

Among those leftists receiving donations from Duke employees were “Ro Khanna for Congress and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC), each receiving about $100,000.”

In addition “the top recipients include the Democratic Party’s principal online fundraising platform, its national governing body, congressional campaign committees, and multiple campaigns and advocacy groups aligned with progressive causes.”

Clearly Duke is not interested in providing a well rounded education but rather enforce liberal bias.

While this is hardly shocking that the professors lean left the fact that they are supporting leftist politicians and organizations is outrageous.

This should offend anyone paying for a real education.

“Donation data comes from the 2026 Federal Election Commission filings, analyzed by Campus Reform, which tracked self-reported political giving from university employees at institutions that receive federal funding. Donors were matched to the Department of Education’s official database of colleges and universities, and faculty and staff donations were analyzed separately from student contributions.”

Clearly despite efforts to end indoctrination at college the problem of liberal bias and enforcing a liberal left agenda persists.
