At least five people were injured after a stabbing incident at Foss High School in Tacoma, Washington on Thursday afternoon.
Officers responded to a call of a possible stabbing stemming from a fight, and found four students and a security guard injured. Police said it remains unclear whether all the victims were stabbed or hurt by other means, such as falling, and the extent of their injuries is not yet known, though they are believed to be non-life-threatening.
All five victims were taken to a local hospital, where officers are working to gather updates. Authorities said it is not yet clear what was used in the attack or where inside the school it occurred.
Police confirmed that a suspect has been detained, and the scene is secure.

Prosecutors Discussed Going After Religious Sisters
Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa released communications exclusively obtained by the Daily Wire showing Joseph Cooney and Molly Gaston, both prosecutors who worked under Special Counsel Jack Smith, exchanging messages in February 2021. The texts referenced a New York Times photograph of nuns in traditional habits attending the Stop the Steal rally. Gaston wrote she wanted a special assignment finding and prosecuting the sisters, while Cooney responded he would prosecute any nun wearing a traditional habit.
The messages surfaced as the prosecutors reviewed media coverage following the January 6 Capitol events. The nuns photographed wore traditional religious dress along with Trump campaign accessories. Gaston left her position with the Trump administration in January 2025, while Cooney submitted a February 2021 proposal to investigate President Trump and his associates. Cooney currently campaigns for a Congressional seat in Virginia.

FBI Surveillance of Catholic Parishes
The FBI under Director Christopher Wray conducted infiltration operations at Catholic parishes and engaged in outreach to Catholic leaders, according to 2023 reports. The bureau’s internal documents suggested white supremacy connections within communities preferring the traditional Latin Mass. These activities represented federal surveillance of Americans exercising constitutionally protected religious freedom. The released communications provide documentary evidence that some federal prosecutors held antipathy toward traditional Catholic religious practice during their official duties investigating January 6 participants.

Budanov’s ambitions are well known in Kiev, with approval ratings that equal Valeriy Zaluzhny’s, and outpace Zelensky’s.
The former top spy is a new risk for Zelensky, ‘no longer a background figure but a key political actor’.

The Supreme Court on Wednesday declared Louisiana’s newly-drawn Congressional map an unconstitutional gerrymander.
The high court issued the ruling 6-3.

The case, State of Louisiana v. Phillip Callais (and the related Press Robinson v. Phillip Callais), stems from Louisiana’s woke lawmakers caving to left-wing judges and creating a second “majority-minority” congressional district.
Louisiana Republicans delayed the May 16 primaries for US House Thursday, one day after the US Supreme Court’s decision invalidating the state’s congressional map and calling it an unconstitutional gerrymander.
Early voting was scheduled to begin Saturday and overseas ballots had already gone out. The primaries for other races will still move forward, according to a statement from Louisiana Secretary of State Nancy Landry. That includes a closely watched US Senate Republican primary, in which Sen. Bill Cassidy faces challenges from US Rep. Julia Letlow, endorsed by President Donald Trump, and State Treasurer John Fleming.
While the House races will remain on the May 16 ballot, no votes cast in those races will count, Nancy Landry said in the statement.
Democratic Rep. Cleo Fields, whose district is at the center of the Supreme Court’s redistricting decision, said earlier Thursday that Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry had told him he anticipated issuing an executive order to suspend the House election and call a new one.

The House of Representatives on Thursday passed the Senate-approved package to fund the Department of Homeland Security by voice vote, ending the 75-day shutdown.
ICE and Border Patrol will be funded separately.
The bill will head to President Trump’s desk.

The House on Wednesday adopted a Senate-approved budget plan, the first step in a strategy that would allow Republicans to fund federal immigration agencies through the rest of President Trump’s term without the help of Democrats.
Senate Republicans unveiled and adopted the budget blueprint last week. Republicans are trying to meet Mr. Trump’s June deadline to fund Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Border Patrol, and end the funding lapse that has shut down the Department of Homeland Security since February.
The resolution cleared the House in a 215 to 211 vote. It directs the committees that oversee ICE and Border Patrol to draft legislation to deliver about $70 billion to the agencies.
Adoption of the budget plan simply allows lawmakers to begin their work crafting legislation to fund the agencies, which both chambers will later need to approve.

House Speaker Mike Johnson spoke to reporters after the House adopted the Senate-approved package.
“We’ve got the budget resolution passed. This is very, very important because that will ensure that border security and immigration enforcement will continue today and well into the future, despite Democrat attempts to reopen our borders and protect criminal illegal aliens from removal,” Speaker Johnson said.
“The net result of passing our reconciliation bill is that ICE and CBP are funded for three years,” Johnson said.
“Democrats got absolutely nothing for their political charade and shenanigans out there,” he said.
A substitute teacher in Florida was fired after allegedly suffering a bizarre and disturbing meltdown inside a high school classroo, where students say she twerked, made sexually explicit remarks, called herself a “million-dollar prostitute,” and physically grabbed a student by the neck area before deputies hauled her away.
The teacher was identified as Angela Faith Jourdan, a substitute at Lake Minneola High School. According to reports, deputies responded after staff triggered an emergency alert around 10:20 a.m. and found Jourdan yelling incoherently in front of students, News6 reported.
Investigators say students reported Jourdan had been slamming her hands on desks, making obscene comments, and dancing provocatively in the classroom instead of teaching. Authorities also say she referred to herself as a “million-dollar prostitute.”
The most serious allegation came from a student who told deputies that as class ended, Jourdan yelled at her, used a derogatory slur, then placed her hands on the student’s head, neck, and moved toward the throat area.
Upon arrival to the classroom, the deputy found the sub — identified as Angela Faith Jourdan — yelling “incoherently,” stating that they should “put her in prison for life,” the report shows.

“Assistant Principal Pannett entered and instructed Ms. Jourdan to gather her belongings and leave the classroom,” the report reads. “Ms. Jourdan refused, stating that she did not want to be (Tasered).”
Jourdan continued refusing to leave, prompting the deputy to restrain her and escort her to the front office, the report reveals.
Meanwhile, investigators said they spoke with a victim, who claimed that Jourdan had battered her.
“As the bell rang and students began exiting, [REDACTED] stated she was among the last to leave when Ms. Jourdan yelled at her, called her a derogatory name, and placed her hands on [REDACTED] head and the back of her neck before moving her hand toward [REDACTED] throat,” the report continues.
The case report further reveals that Jourdan has a history of bipolar disorder, and her outburst in the classroom indicated a possible “mental health episode.”

Shocking surveillance video has surfaced showing a hooded figure dressed head-to-toe in what looks exactly like classic Ku Klux Klan robes casually strolling down Main Street in the middle of the night.
The clip, captured around 2 a.m. Monday in the Arctic section of West Warwick, shows the individual in flowing white robes and a pointed hood walking past local businesses.
One eyewitness, Ryan Fitzgerald, was driving by with his brother when he spotted the figure and started recording. He later described seeing the creepy red eyeballs staring out from under the hood, according to The Boston Globe.
“When somebody looks at you that you can’t see, you just see their eyeballs, that’s freaking creepy, man,” Fitzgerald told the Globe.
Shop owner Leslie Letourneau wasn’t amused when she reviewed her own surveillance footage the next day.
She wrote:
“So I’m sure some have already seen the video curculating of the clans man in front of my shop. Yes its real & Im sure you all already know I do not support this in and way shape or form and I’m absolutely disgusted that you stopped by to pay me a visit. So here in what one of my cameras caught during this stunt that is in absolutely no way funny. Try it during the day. Dare ya. Lo$er #hatehasnohomehere #loveyourneighbor except that guy.”
Local police confirmed they are investigating the video and asked anyone with information or surveillance footage to come forward. Authorities said the episode appears to be isolated and that there is currently no known threat to public safety.
