The conservative-hating Southern Poverty Law Center appears to be facing some serious charges.

The same “hate group” smear machine that’s spent decades labeling conservatives, Christians, Trump supporters, and patriotic Americans as dangerous extremists has just been federally INDICTED on serious criminal charges.

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, a federal grand jury in the Middle District of Alabama returned an 11-count indictment against the SPLC on April 21, 2026. The so-called “anti-hate” organization stands accused of running a massive fraud operation while pocketing hundreds of millions from gullible liberal donors.

Here’s what they’re charged with:

-6 counts of wire fraud
-4 counts of false statements to a federally insured bank
-1 count of conspiracy to commit concealment money laundering

Prosecutors say that between 2014 and 2023, the SPLC secretly funneled more than $3 MILLION in donated funds to individuals tied to the same extremist groups they publicly claim to be fighting – including the Ku Klux Klan (and United Klans of America), Aryan Nations, the National Socialist Party of America, and other alleged neo-Nazi and white supremacist organizations.

FBI Director Kash Patel outlined the case against the SPLC yesterday during a press conference that Elon Musk retweeted:

After decades of falsely attacking innocent individuals and lying about top news organizations, like the Gateway Pundit, the Southern Poverty Law Center has finally been outed as a totally fraudulent group that allegedly raises funds by lying and deceiving its donors about the same hate groups they’re funding.

The Southern Poverty Law Center is alleged to have used paid informants inside several extremist groups. One of the most high-profile examples of the SPLC’s involvement in paying an informant inside a so-called “hate group” can be found in the indictment.

On August 12, 2017, the nation was shocked to witness the unexpected violence that erupted at the “Unite The Right” rally in Charlottesville, VA.  The rally was billed as a call for Americans to come together and defend against the destruction of historic statues by the Obama regime.

Sadly, the “Unite the Right” rally ( the SPLC was allegedly secretly paying an informant to organize) resulted in the death of Heather Heyer, a counter-protester who was allegedly standing against the “hateful” protesters who were fighting to stop the destruction of historic statues in America.

Curiously, Jocelyn Benson, who is also America’s most crooked secretary of state, was a SPLC board member in 2017 at the time of the violent Unite the Right rally.

In 2018, the far-left Democrat operative Jocelyn Benson was elected as Michigan’s Secretary of State after losing her first Soros-funded bid in 2014. Curiously, prior to the 2018 election, Benson’s online profile appeared to be scrubbed, removing any evidence of her ties to the radical SPLC hate group.

In 2020, Benson oversaw the nation’s most mistrusted elections, while referring to the nation’s most corrupt election as the safest and most secure in history. She has repeatedly lied about “armed protesters” showing up in front of her home after the 2020 election, despite the Detroit Police claiming they saw no evidence that any protesters were carrying weapons. She frequently drones on about the threat of violence in our elections, despite never providing a shred of evidence to support her claims, and was caught red-handed lying to the now-deceased top radio host Frank Beckman during an interview about the windows that were covered to prevent GOP poll challengers from watching the absentee ballots being counted in Detroit on the day after the 2020 election.

Is mastering the art of lying and deceit required to serve on the board of the Southern Poverty Law Center? This level of deceit certainly doesn’t happen in a vacuum.

After President Trump spoke out about the horrific death of a young protester and condemned the violence while explaining that there were “very fine people on both sides” of the argument, including the protesters who were demanding public officials stop allowing historic statues to be torn down, the mainstream media completely twisted his comments to make it appear that President Trump was saying the white supremacists attending the rally were the “very fine people” he was referring to.

When Joe Biden ran for President from his basement in 2016, he was asked about what motivated him to come out of retirement and jump into the race. His answer? The Unite the Right rally…which we now know involved funding of one of the main organizers by the Southern Poverty Law Center, who was claiming to “fight hate groups,” when in reality they were funding them, all the while, they were stoking fear in the hearts and minds of Americans who were being told the white male was the most dangerous person in America.

Kamala Harris repeated the already debunked lie during a debate against President Trump. The media let it go…

Radical leftists like US Rep Ilhan Omar (D-MN) used fake narratives like the one created in Charlottesville, VA, to push the lie that the “white male” is the most dangerous person in America.

Southern Poverty Law Center revenue increased from $51,871,438 in October 2016 to $133,463,398 in October 2017, showing an increase of $81,591,960.

It’s unclear how Jocelyn Benson, who is undoubtedly the most unpopular secretary of state Michigan has ever elected (go to her X account and read any of the comments for evidence), plans to win her upcoming bid for governor. Who needs a plan to win an election when you are literally controlling the election yourself?

Starmer continues to refuse to resign.

After surviving dozens of crises and scandals, embattled Labour party leader Keir Starmer is facing the most serious danger of losing political power of his 2-year Premiership.

The US DOJ release of the ‘Jeffrey Epstein files’ led to the dismissal of US ambassador Lord Peter Mandelson, and subsequent collapse of his life, from resigning from the House of Lords up to his arrest for suspicion of ‘Gross Misconduct in Public Office’.

But the fallout also hit PM Starmer square in the jaw, as the failed vetting process – that Mandelson flunked – and the cover-up led to an unprecedented crisis.

After the scapegoated Sir Olly Robbins testified to the House of Commons, and it became clear that Starmer’s chief of staff told the Foreign Office to ‘just f***ing approve it’, many in the British media and society feel the Premier has to go.

But Starmer himself has not ‘received the memo’, apparently.

Now, a Labour MP has come forward as the first member of Starmer’s party to call publicly for the PM to resign over his mishandling of the Mandelson vetting scandal.

The Telegraph reported:

“On Wednesday, Jonathan Brash, the MP for Hartlepool, demanded the Prime Minister’s resignation and said no MP ‘reasonably expects’ him to last until the next general election.

He broke cover as three former Cabinet secretaries lined up to criticize Sir Keir after he sacked Sir Olly Robbins as chief of the Foreign Office for not telling him that Lord Mandelson had failed his security vetting.”

Ministers and backbenchers have reportedly soured on him, including members of the foreign affairs committee who feel Starmer was wrong to sack [former Foreign Office chief] Sir Olly [Robbins].

“Speaking on GB News on Tuesday, Mr Brash said: ‘I’m completely fed up about it, and I think it’s got to the point now where I genuinely think that as far as the Prime Minister is concerned it’s not a case of if – it’s when. Ultimately, we’re in a situation now where I don’t think anyone reasonably expects the Prime Minister to lead the party into the next election’.”

The 70-year-old pilot miraculously survived the crash but is in critical condition.

A small California airport plagued by safety concerns was the stage of a shocking crash involving a low-flying light plane attempting to land before hitting power lines and crashing down.

The New York Post reported:

“Terrifying footage has emerged of the plane careening into utility poles along Van Nuys Boulevard just blocks from the Whiteman Airport in Pacoima, leaving the 70-year-old male pilot hospitalized in critical condition.

In video posted Tuesday on X, the plane was seen flying close to the power lines when it clipped them, flipping over and nosediving into the ground.”

“LAFD said the plane, a single-engine Cessna owned by Vista Aviation and rented by the pilot, was doing patterns around the airport when it hit the power lines, eventually crashing into a parking lot at an O’Reilly’s auto shop. It had only been in the air for about 10 minutes. The pilot was found outside the plane.

A bystander who helped the pilot told KTLA that ‘half his body was crushed from the plane’.”

Watch: people manage to pull the pilot out of the plane. 

The plane crash knocked out power to some parts of the city, with crews working to restore it.

Residents have been trying to close the Whiteman airport for his ‘highly urbanized’ location.

The Federal Aviation Administration will investigate the plane crash.

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. appeared on Capitol Hill for two hearings on Wednesday and embarrassed leftist Senator Raphael Warnock (D-GA) when he tried to outsmart him on health matters.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, RFK Jr. first testified before the Senate Finance Committee on his agency’s budget and the deals that the Trump Administration struck with drug companies to lower prices.

Late in the hearing, Warnock decided to test RFK Jr.’s knowledge of rabies, one of the most deadly diseases on the planet.

Warnock started off by trying to ‘educate’ the HHS Secretary on rabies, which can be spread by numerous animals to humans, including raccoons, foxes, and skunks.

Of course, RFK Jr. already knew this information.

Then, Warnock decided to attack RFK Jr. for making budget cuts to the ‘rabies office.’ He said that only one person is handling issues concerning the disease at the CDC rabies division in Atlanta, Georgia.

But what the Georgia senator neglected to say was that rabies cases in humans are EXTREMELY rare, with only a couple of cases per year on average. Thus, this seems like a job one person can handle.

RFK Jr. left Warnock stammering when he dropped this truth bomb.

BREAKING: Virginia Court Strikes Down Democrat Gerrymander Referendum as UNCONSTITUTIONAL, Judge Blocks Vote Certification and Issues Injunction

In a major court victory for Virginia Republicans and fair-maps advocates, the Tazewell Circuit Court has ruled the Democrats’ redistricting referendum unconstitutional.

The judge has entered an injunction blocking certification of the narrow “Yes” victory and denied Democrats’ request for a stay pending appeal.

The development was announced on Wednesday afternoon by former Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli II, who is leading the Election Transparency Initiative.

“UPDATE on referendum lawsuits: The Tazewell Circuit Court just ruled the referendum unconstitutional. The Judge entered an injunction blocking certification of the election & denied a motion to stay pending appeal. A final order will be entered once drafted, & it will be immediately appealed,” Cuccinelli wrote in a post on X.

This ruling means the ridiculous constitutional amendment, which would have allowed the Democrat-controlled General Assembly to immediately toss Virginia’s current balanced six-five congressional map and replace it with a heavily gerrymandered 10 Democrat to one Republican map, cannot be certified or take effect unless the Virginia Supreme Court overturns the decision on appeal.

The ballot measure asked voters, “Should the Constitution of Virginia be amended to allow the General Assembly to temporarily adopt new congressional districts to restore fairness in the upcoming elections, while ensuring Virginia’s standard redistricting process resumes for all future redistricting after the 2030 census?”

Republicans, including former Governor Glenn Youngkin, called the language deliberately deceptive.

Virginia currently operates under one of the fairest congressional maps in the nation, drawn by an independent bipartisan commission that voters overwhelmingly approved in 2020.

The Democrat-backed plan would have packed Republican voters into a single ultra-safe district while engineering 10 safe Democratic seats, helping Democrats gain 4 House seats heading into the midterms.

The referendum passed narrowly on Tuesday, with roughly 51.45% voting “Yes” and 48.55% voting “No,” driven by Democrats in Northern Virginia.

Republicans filed multiple lawsuits challenging the referendum.

Tazewell Circuit Court Judge Jack Hurley had previously issued injunctions blocking the referendum before the vote, but the Virginia Supreme Court stayed those orders, allowing voters to decide while reserving final judgment.

Now, the case will be appealed to the Virginia Supreme Court, which has already signaled it will review the constitutional questions quickly.

“Restore Fairness”? The Ballot Battle for Virginia’s Map Now Can Continue in the Virginia Supreme Court

Yesterday, Virginians took to the polls to decide on a proposed amendment to the state’s constitution that would “restore fairness” by “ensuring” standards in redistricting.

Yes, those exact terms were used on the ballot seen by about three million Virginia voters.  The proposed amendment on the ballot read:

Question: Should the Constitution of Virginia be amended to allow the General Assembly to temporarily adopt new congressional districts to restore fairness in the upcoming elections, while ensuring Virginia’s standard redistricting process resumes for all future redistricting after the 2030 census?

“Restore fairness”?  In what world would anyone not want to “restore fairness” to something??  What a shamefully misleading phrase.

The amendment does anything but “restore fairness.”  Virginia voters “voted” 51.8% to 46% for Kamala Harris over President Donald Trump.  The ballot measure passed 51.4% to 48.6%.  Even the highly contentious 2020 election was 54% to 44% with Biden (allegedly) claiming Virginia’s 13 electoral votes.

Virginia’s U.S. Congressional representation is, at least for now, in line with these results, with six Democrat reps to five Republicans.

The new redistricting effort will hand over four of those GOP seats to the Democrats in an already-passed new map, resulting in 10 to 1, or 90.91% Democrat representation in a state where the Democrats barely have a majority.

Democrat, Not Republican, Gerrymandering

California passed Prop 50, which will likely add 5 seats to the Democrats, bringing their total to 48 seats versus just 4 Republican seats (previously, Republicans held 9 seats), giving Democrats 92% of the state’s seats with a population that Biden only won by 63% in 2020 and Harris by 58%.

In the New England states, where the population voted around 40% for Trump in 2020 and 2024, Republicans have ZERO U.S. House seats.  Forty percent of New Englanders have no representation in Congress.  “Restore fairness.”

But California and New England aren’t the only examples:

With a Pending Appeal, Virginia Supreme Court Must Act

The journey for this proposed amendment to make its way onto the ballot is wild, to say the least.

In 2020, Virginia voters passed a constitutional amendment that gave a bipartisan commission the power to draw congressional districts.  But following Texas’s adoption of a new congressional map that would potentially give Republicans five new seats, several states began to gerrymander their own congressional maps.

Following the redistricting in Texas, the Virginia Democrat delegation launched its scheme.

A constitutional amendment in Virginia requires approval by the legislature in two consecutive legislative sessions, with a general election in between.  It then goes to the public for a vote.

On October 31, 2025, the General Assembly first passed the proposal during the 2024 Special Session, in which the scope and purpose were expanded to include considering and passing the proposal.

The required second passage of the proposal occurred on January 16, 2026, with Governor Abigail Spanberger signing legislation to enable the referendum vote on February 4, 2026.

However, on January 27, a circuit court judge ruled the amendment was unlawful, with the judge concurring that the passage of the proposal was outside the scope of the 2024 Special Session and that the requirement of a general election between the two votes in the General Assembly was not accomplished because voters had already begun early voting on September 19, before the proposal passed for the first time on October 31, thus failing to accomplish the general election between assembly votes.

On February 13, the Supreme Court of Virginia lifted the temporary restraining order (TRO) and permitted the special election to proceed while it considered the case.

On February 18, the Republican National Committee filed a separate lawsuit contesting the phrase “restore fairness” as misleading and deviating from the language of the amendment passed by the General Assembly.  The same circuit court judge granted another TRO barring officials from administering the election on those grounds.

The Virginia Supreme Court also stayed that ruling until after the special election, with briefs due two days after the vote on April 23.  If the amendment failed, the case would be deemed moot and dismissed.  But since the amendment passed, the Virginia Supreme Court must now decide the case on the merits.

The Circuit Court’s Declaratory Judgment

The method by which the amendment was proposed and passed failed to meet the constitutional requirements on numerous grounds.

Strike 1

Tazewell County Circuit Court Judge Jack Hurley, Jr. concurred that the General Assembly did expand the scope of the 2024 Special Session, ruling that “the first passage of the proposed constitutional amendment is void ab initio,” or from the beginning.

Next, the court ruled that the “next general election of members of the House of Delegates” had already begun, with early voting starting on September 19, 2025.  Over one million Virginians had already cast ballots by the time of the General Assembly’s first passage on October 31.

Side Note: The Supreme Court of the United States recently heard arguments in Watson v. RNC  to determine whether “Election Day” refers only to the day voters cast their ballots or if deadlines can be set by law for receiving ballots after “Election Day.”  The case was not asking SCOTUS to determine when “Election Day” began.

Strike 3

The court decided that, “Even if the General Assembly’s first passage…were valid and even if ‘election’ is defined narrowly as only Election Day and not the entire period of voting,” the General Assembly still failed to provide copies of the amendment to “every circuit court clerk to post at the front door of the courthouse at least three months prior” to the next general election (which had already begun).

Strike 4

Regarding the text of the proposal on the ballot argued in the second case, Judge Hurley wrote that the ballot language was misleading and violated the Submission Clause of Article XII, Section 1 of the Virginia Constitution.  “It submits a different question on the referendum ballot than the language of the constitutional amendment passed by the General Assembly.”

Strike 5

The Virginia Constitution also requires the proposed amendment to be presented to voters “not sooner than ninety days after final passage by the General Assembly.”  If that final passage was, in fact, on January 16, 2026, then the 90-day requirement was not fulfilled before early voting began on March 6, 2026.

Strike 6

The court determined that HB 1384 violated Article IV, Section 12 of the Virginia Constitution by passing a bill that “embrace[s] more than one object.”  In this case, the bill not only proposes the constitutional amendment; it also addresses, “providing for appropriations of public revenues,” “establishing the ballot question and procedures for submitting the proposed constitutional amendment to the voters,” “repealing Code § 30-13,” and “transferring venue to the Richmond Circuit Court for civil actions challenging the proposed constitutional amendment.”

Sen. Tim Kaine on FOX News last weekend said the quiet part out loud.  This amendment isn’t about “restoring fairness.”  It is about combatting President Trump’s mandate from the 2024 election.  Kaine said, “We’re deeply worried that Donald Trump will try to interfere with the election results this November or in 2028 because we saw him do it before.  And we have to have a Congress that will stand up to it.”

A convicted murderer has been arrested after sending unhinged, violent threats to outgoing Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons, including explicit calls for ICE agents to be “executed right there… with two f-cking bullets to the back of their maggot Nazi heads.”

Daniel Barber, who has a lengthy criminal record that includes a 1990 conviction for murder and robbery with intent to cause bodily harm, was arrested on April 10 by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents in San Francisco.

The threats were sent via email on June 6, 2025.

Email expressing extreme anger towards ICE agents, featuring aggressive language and calls for violence, dated June 6, 2025.

In the vile message, Barber stated:

“YOUR GESTAPO NAZI MAGGOT ICE AGENTS SHOULD BE TERRIFIED, BECAUSE THE TRUTH IS EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM DESERVES TO BE ARRESTED BY ARMED AMERICAN CITIZENS, FROGMARCHED INTO THE STREETS, SUMMARILY TRIED AND CONVICTED OF CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY THERE IN PUBLIC, AND SUBSEQUENTLY EXECUTED RIGHT THERE AS WELL WITH TWO F–CKING BULLETS TO THE BACK OF THEIR MAGGOT NAZI HEADS!”

He continued, “EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM!”

“MAYBE STOP F-CKING ACTING LIKE HEINOUSLY F-CKING EVIL FASCIST KKKUNTS, AND THEY WOULDN’T DESERVE SUCH A FATE!”

The email concluded, “AND THAT IS NOT A THREAT, YOU LITTLE F-CKING B-TCH, BUT SIMPLY MY OPINION AS TO WHAT THOSE WORMS DESERVE. I’LL BE F-CKING PRAYING DAILY TO THE UNIVERSE AMERICANS START RISING UP AND GIVING THEM, AND YOU, EXACTLY THAT.”

Barber signed the email with his full name.

The Department of Homeland Security released full details about the arrest in a press release on Monday.

“This convicted murderer sent this disgusting death threat to ICE Director Todd Lyons,” Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis said in a statement.

Bis continued, “Comparing ICE day-in and day-out to the Nazi Gestapo, the Secret Police, and slave patrols has consequences. The men and women of ICE are fathers and mothers, sons and daughters. They get up every morning to try and make our communities safer. Like everyone else, they just want to go home to their families at night. The violence and dehumanization of these men and women who are simply enforcing the law must stop.”

The press release noted, “The arrest comes as sanctuary politicians have created an environment that encourages rampant assaults on law enforcement. As our ICE law enforcement officers remove murderers, rapists, pedophiles, gang members, and terrorists from American communities, they are facing a more than 1,300% increase in assaults, an 8,000% increase in death threats, and a more than 3,300% increase in vehicle attacks.”

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, Lyons and his family endured vicious harassment from the left, including doxxing of his wife and children and protests at their home.

Lyons is stepping down from the agency at the end of May.

President Trump GOES OFF on “Rigged” Virginia Election

President Trump on Wednesday called out the rigged Virginia election.

On Tuesday evening, Virginia voters passed the redistricting referendum that will benefit Democrats and disenfranchise millions of Virginia independents and Republicans.

“The ballot measure gives the Democrat-controlled Virginia legislature — rather than the state’s current nonpartisan commission — temporary redistricting power through the 2030 election. It could result in a 10-1 advantage for Democrats in Virginia’s congressional delegation, up from their current 6-5 edge,” Fox New reported.

Virginia’s radical Democrat Governor Abigail Spanberger lied on the campaign trail and said that she would not support gerrymandering and the congressional redistricting referendum.

Trump said Tuesday night’s Virginia election was rigged.

The President also said the language on he referendum was “purposely unintelligible and deceptive.”

In addition to everything else, the language on the Referendum was purposefully unintelligible and deceptive.

As everyone knows, I am an extraordinarily brilliant person, and even I had no idea what the hell they were talking about in the Referendum, and neither do they!

These weren’t isolated incidents but recurring patterns agency staff encountered throughout Biden’s four years in office, according to the recordings.

Children Forced Into Labor

Darleen Sealey, senior administrator at Berkshire Farm Center and Services for Youth in New York, described how case managers failed to verify sponsor documents. Birth certificates turned out to be fake, discovered only after children already left custody. Gonzalez detailed one child forced to work 12-hour factory shifts to pay cartels for his journey. The child lived in the factory itself, sleeping where he worked daily.

Photoshopped Documents Approved

Natasha Wright, Office of Refugee Resettlement supervisory senior oversight advisor, told the journalist that clearly photoshopped pictures of sponsors with children somehow passed approval processes. You could see people stamped into pictures, yet officials approved placements anyway. Wright said the Inspector General eventually investigated, forcing changes. Some children worked to repay cartel debts, while others were released directly to cartel members themselves.

Sex Trafficking and STDs in Nine-Year-Olds

The footage indicates children weren’t just exploited for labor but forced into prostitution and sex trafficking. Workers described children protection services cases involving minors who claimed to be working but never returned to their hotels. Nine-year-old children tested positive for sexually transmitted diseases. Indaira Charles, a social work supervisor, detailed these horrors before the recording ended. These revelations follow previous Townhall videos showing how Biden’s open border policy created chaos in processing centers, overwhelming workers who couldn’t properly vet sponsors taking custody of vulnerable children.
