We have been following here on TGP the effort by separatists in the Canadian province of Alberta.

The oil-rich region has had enough of woke Canada’s Globalist policies, and gathered hundreds of thousands of signatures on the petition to hold a referendum on independence.

After a liberal judge used indigenous groups as an excuse to block the process in Canadian courts, Alberta conservatives changed their wording and will hold a referendum on whether the province should remain in Canada or else move ahead with a second – binding – vote on separation. The vote is scheduled for October 19th.

Recently, US journalists Tayler Hansen and Kian Simone traveled to the western province of Alberta to interview conservative leaders behind this move to break from Canada. The two reported on the

Canadian attorney Jeffrey Rath described why this bold move towards independence is so necessary.

“We don’t want to be governed by morons anymore. We’re sick and tired of it, right? They, you know, the West Coast tanker ban— there’s no East Coast tanker ban. Tankers can go up and down the Gulf of St. Lawrence, which, you know, from an ecological perspective are far more fragile waters than the Pacific, you know, the waters of the Pacific Northwest. But they can have tankers going up and down the St. Lawrence, but you can’t have them off the West Coast, because the whole point is to shut in, you know, Alberta oil, you know, until Communist China takes over enough of the Alberta oil field that they, you know, they have 100% of the throughput for a pipeline. And then at that point, it’s going to be First Nations be damned, British Columbia be damned. China will have its pipeline where 100% of the throughput goes directly from Alberta to China. President Trump is in continued negotiations with Iran after last week’s Situation Room meeting failed to result in an agreement to end the war. 

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Trump held a meeting with advisors in the Situation Room on Friday, where he said he would “make a final determination” and potentially sign a deal with Iran.

Trump announced a “largely negotiated” framework for a 60-day “memorandum of understanding” (MOU) last weekend. Included in the plan is a 60-day ceasefire, the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, concessions from Iran on nuclear enrichment, and an Israel-Hezbollah ceasefire.

Early reports on the deal suggested that it would require Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz for unrestricted passage and abandon its nuclear enrichment program.

Reporting suggested that Iran agreed to extend the ceasefire and continue negotiations on its nuclear program, and the MOU only needed Trump’s buy-in.

However, the President did not sign the deal as administration officials say negotiations are set to continue.

Axios reported on Saturday that President Trump requested amendments to the deal during the Situation Room meeting, according to sources familiar with the talks. Two US officials say Trump wants to strengthen various points, including the nuclear issue.

Meanwhile, Iranian officials have denied that they ever approved a deal.

“In its current form, the memorandum of understanding includes a commitment from Iran not to pursue a nuclear weapon, but no specific concessions beyond that,” the report notes.

“It states that there will be a 60-day window to negotiate on nuclear commitments from Iran and sanctions relief from the U.S., with the first issues on the docket being how to dispose of Iran’s enriched uranium stockpile and limit further enrichment.”

But, according to a senior administration official, Trump wants “more specifics about how the U.S. gets the material and the timing.”

Trump also wants changes to the wording regarding the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.

The back-and-forth discussions could take several days as Iran’s leaders are “literally in caves and they’re not using email,” the senior administration official said.

In modern Britain, if you are attacked in the street while being white, you don’t face just one enemy. You face two: the thug trying to kill you… and your own government, which has already decided whose side it’s on.

Eighteen-year-old Henry Nowak never even got the chance to fight back.

The promising Polish-British accounting and finance student was walking home from a football night in Southampton on December 3, 2025. A Sikh man, Vickrum Digwa, 23, carrying a 21-centimeter “ceremonial” — how about that? — dagger legally protected by “religious exemption,” stabbed the teenager five times — in the chest, legs, and face.

Henry tried to flee, leaving a trail of blood as he begged for his life.

Then the police arrived.

And that’s when the second attack began.

Instead of treating the bleeding, dying boy as the victim, officers — fed years of “white privilege” brainwashing — immediately believed the stabber’s lie: that this white teenager had racially attacked him and knocked off his turban. Henry Nowak was slammed to the ground, handcuffed, and allegedly dragged across gravel while he repeatedly screamed: “I can’t breathe!” “I’m dying!”

According to multiple accounts from the pre-trial, officers reportedly laughed in his face. “I’ve been stabbed!” One allegedly replied, “I don’t think you have, mate.” They left him cuffed and bleeding for minutes before finally realizing he was telling the truth — as he lay dying in his own blood.

Henry Nowak didn’t die just because a violent degenerate plunged a blade into his soul.

He died because the British state had already chosen the side of the “protected minority” over one of its own native sons.

The myth of “White privilege” is a murderous cult

This is not an isolated tragedy. This is the logical, mechanical, and inevitable result of a decade of poison imported from America’s worst universities and European postmodern garbage — Foucault, Marcuse, and the entire “white privilege” death cult.

According to this deranged ideology, simply being white is itself a privilege that must be punished. When the government is confronted with a white victim and a non-white perpetrator, it must always side with the non-white to “correct” the so-called privilege.

The result? British police treat a dying white teenager like a criminal while protecting the man who just butchered him.

The family of the killer even hid the murder weapon. Yet the initial police response was to arrest the victim.

And now? The Hampshire Police are refusing to release the bodycam footage — even though it is perfectly legal for them to do so. They know what the public will see: the final moments of a bright, kind, football-loving young man being mocked and neglected not only by his murderer by the very people sworn to protect him.

The British people are not stupid. The rage is building. Those bodycam videos will surface, one way or another.

This abomination reveals two inescapable conclusions:

First: The toxic, false, murderous ideology of “white privilege” and all its derivatives must be completely eradicated from government, police forces, universities, and every public institution. It is not a theory — it is a death sentence for innocent white people. Perpetuating this theory by inciting action — that is, killing — is incitement to murder.

Second: Those who imported, promoted, and enforced these anti-white ideas must be held accountable. Ideas have consequences. When your ideology leads directly to the handcuffing of a dying teenager, you don’t get to hide behind academic “nuance.” The publicly funded university must stop inciting racial hatred. Those who spread this racist theory, this new Nazism, must be denounced and expelled. In these dark and dangerous times, one question burns: Where is the Senator McCarthy of our time? Where is the man with the courage to name and confront the enemy within our gates?

As Charles de Gaulle refused to commute the death sentence of the Nazi-collaborator Robert Brasillach after World War II, some crimes against the nation and its people cannot be forgiven. They must be confronted. Those who condone murder and incite racial hatred —yesterday against Jews, today against white people— are complicit in the murder. Brasillach hadn’t killed anyone. But he celebrated revolutionary National Socialism, and the massacre of Jews, and his writings were used by the Nazi occupiers. After the war, Brasillach pleaded: clemency! mercy! De Gaulle said: go to hell, pal.

Henry Nowak was everything Britain should celebrate: young, intelligent, hardworking, integrated, full of promise. Instead, he became another statistic in the slow-motion suicide of a once-great nation that now punishes its own children for the crime of existing while white.

Rest in peace, Henry.

Your death will not be in vain if it finally wakes up the British people — and Americans watching this nightmare unfold across the Atlantic.

Release the bodycam.

End the religious knife privileges.

End the two-tier policing.

And end the anti-white insanity before more innocent blood is spilled.

Footage and captions from the event describe Ocasio-Cortez as speaking about “solidarity” with Muslim New Yorkers while she delivered brief remarks during the holiday gathering stating followers need to “renew our commitments to one another,” to “bring light into darkness.” In later comments reported by outlets covering the controversy, she defended her decision to wear the headscarf, calling it “the respectful move” toward constituents observing the festival.

Viral clips shared by outlets like show groups of men at the Eid celebration talking among themselves and appearing to ignore the hijab-clad congresswoman as she speaks from the stage. Some commentators highlighted the scene of a largely male audience speaking over her as evidence of a clash between the progressive lawmaker’s feminist branding and gender norms in Muslim doctrine.

On X and Instagram, conservative and anti-woke accounts amplified the video, with one widely shared post quoted in NerdStash reading, “What a fraud! Bought and paid for!” Ynet reported critics mocking Ocasio-Cortez for, in their words, “screaming about patriarchy while cosplaying in a garment mandated by brutal theocracies” as they circulated the clip.

Other viral posts roasted her appearance as “political cosplay” and accused her of “pandering in a hijab” at the event with Mamdani, with one caption declaring, “NY HAS FALLEN” above the footage.

Bulgaria’s new government has moved to terminate an arrangement that allows American military aircraft to use Sofia Airport for refueling and logistical operations, linking the decision to the Trump administration’s continued refusal to grant visa-free travel to Bulgarian citizens.

Prime Minister Rumen Radev, elected weeks ago in a landslide election, announced Friday that permission for American aircraft and personnel to remain at Sofia’s Vasil Levski Airport would expire at the end of June, bringing an abrupt end to an agreement approved by the previous government earlier this year.

The decision marks one of the first major foreign-policy disputes between the newly elected Bulgarian government and the Trump administration.

Radev said he personally raised the issue of visa-free travel during a recent conversation with President Donald Trump but failed to secure a positive response.
“I called for the suspension of visas for Bulgarian citizens during my conversation with the American President, but I have not received a positive answer,” Radev said.

While acknowledging the complexity of immigration and regulatory procedures in the United States, the Bulgarian leader suggested that Sofia could not indefinitely continue accommodating American requests without progress on issues important to Bulgaria.

“We also have our priorities and we cannot respond positively to the request for long stays of aircraft and tankers at Sofia airport,” he added.

Under the extension approved by the Bulgarian government, the arrangement will remain in force only until June 30.

The temporary extension is intended to provide time for allied militaries to relocate aircraft and personnel to alternative facilities elsewhere in Europe.
“We’re extending the permission until the end of June so we can give time to our allies to reschedule and find another location,” Radev explained.

The agreement currently covers up to 15 American military aircraft, associated equipment, and as many as 500 personnel.

Aircraft operating from Sofia have included Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker refueling aircraft, Lockheed C-130 Hercules transport planes, and Boeing C-17 Globemaster III heavy-lift cargo aircraft.

Bulgarian officials, for their part, have emphasized repeatedly that the aircraft were not intended for any kind of combat missions.

Former caretaker Defense Minister Atanas Zapryanov previously stated that the deployments were primarily logistical in nature and designed to support allied activities.

Earlier this year, speculation emerged that American military assets in Bulgaria could be connected to growing tensions in the Middle East, particularly surrounding Iran. Bulgarian officials publicly rejected those claims.

“The exercise is in no way related to the situation with Iran or American negotiations,” Zapryanov said during a briefing in March.

According to Bulgarian authorities, the aircraft participated in joint military activities and logistical support missions rather than offensive operations.

The dispute nevertheless underscores how even close NATO allies can find themselves at odds over issues that extend far beyond defense cooperation.

For years now, Bulgarian governments have sought inclusion in the US Visa Waiver Program, arguing that Bulgarian citizens should enjoy the same travel privileges already granted to many other European Union member states.

The issue has become politically sensitive inside Bulgaria, where many voters view continued visa requirements as a sign that the country remains treated differently from its Western European partners.

Radev appears to have calculated that continued military cooperation should be accompanied by tangible benefits for Bulgarian citizens.
The move also reflects the broader political transformation taking place in Sofia.

Radev’s right-wing populist Progressive Bulgaria party won a decisive victory in April elections, ending years of political instability that produced multiple caretaker governments and repeated parliamentary elections.

The former president assumed the premiership in May, becoming the first Bulgarian politician in modern history to serve as both president and prime minister.His unusual political trajectory has attracted attention across Europe and within NATO.

Analysts have observed and noted that Radev has often taken a more cautious approach toward geopolitical disputes than many other leaders in Eastern Europe.

His positions regarding Russia have occasionally generated controversy among critics, who argue that Bulgaria should adopt a harder line toward Moscow.

Supporters, however, counter that Radev’s emphasis on national interests and pragmatic diplomacy resonates with voters exhausted by years of political paralysis.

The airport dispute is likely to intensify debate about Bulgaria’s role within NATO and its broader relationship with Washington.

Some analysts view the decision primarily as a negotiating tactic designed to pressure the United States on the visa issue.

Others see it as a signal that Sofia intends to pursue a more independent foreign-policy course under its new leadership.

The White House, for now at least, has not publicly responded to Radev’s announcement, and it remains unclear whether further negotiations will occur before the June deadline.

In one of the deadliest industrial accidents in Washington state history, a massive chemical tank containing hundreds of thousands of gallons of highly corrosive “white liquor” ruptured and imploded at the Nippon Dynawave Packaging Company paper mill early Tuesday morning, killing 11 workers and injuring eight others.

The incident took place at approximately 7:15 a.m. local time during a shift change at the facility in Longview, Washington.

The tank, which held up to 900,000 gallons of white liquor, a caustic mixture of sodium hydroxide and sodium sulfide used in the pulping process to break down wood chips into paper pulp, was roughly 60-90% full at the time of failure.

The rupture released a flood of hazardous chemicals across the plant grounds, overturning vehicles, damaging structures, and contaminating nearby ditches and the Columbia River.

Emergency responders from the Longview Fire Department, Cowlitz 2 Fire & Rescue, Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office, and other agencies arrived quickly.

Initial reports indicated at least one dead and multiple injured, with nine workers unaccounted for. Two workers were transported to area hospitals, where one later died.

The remaining nine were presumed dead due to the catastrophic nature of the incident.

Recovery operations were made more difficult by the unstable tank structure and hazardous chemicals.

Crews worked over several days, prioritizing responder safety and the dignified recovery of remains.

By Saturday, Longview Fire Chief Brad Hannig announced that all nine missing workers’ bodies had been recovered and decontaminated.

The final death toll stands at 11.

• Clinton “CJ” Doran (or Duran), 26, Kelso – Described by family as the “spiritual leader” and “joy of their home.”
• John Forsberg, 51, Longview – A witty, trivia-night regular and father of two young children.
• Norman Barlow, 58, Vancouver
• Dillon Miller – A father of three girls who was planning a September wedding.

Speaking at a press conference on Saturday, Chief Hannig stated, “I hope today will give the families so affected by this incident the closure needed to begin the long process of healing.”

Hannig emphasized that the site remains an active hazardous environment and that response efforts could continue for weeks or months.

Officials stated there is no threat to community drinking water supplies or airborne contamination.

The mill has suspended most operations, with only critical infrastructure running on minimum staffing.

State records show the facility has a documented history of safety and environmental violations.

According to a report from local station KING5, the Washington Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) cited Nippon Dynawave four times between 2019 and 2025 for issues including fall-protection failures, respiratory-protection violations, face-covering requirements during the pandemic, and interference with an injury investigation.

Two additional L&I investigations were open at the time of the incident.

Independent investigator Muckraker has blown the lid off a sophisticated, long-running Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) and charity fraud operation in Lawrence, Massachusetts.

Dominican immigrants have been openly buying groceries with food stamps (EBT/SNAP cards) or taking free food from charities and food banks, loading it into shipping barrels, and sending it straight to the Dominican Republic — where it gets resold for profit in local bodegas. The pipeline runs from Massachusetts corner stores, through shipping hubs in New York, all the way to Santo Domingo.

Lawrence, Massachusetts

Lawrence is a small city about 30 miles north of Boston. It has the highest concentration of Dominican immigrants of any city in Massachusetts, and the highest rate of SNAP enrollment in the state.

John has been delivering goods in Lawrence for over 11 years, six days a week, 35 stops a day. He knows the community intimately.

“I’ve been witnessing the Dominican residents going to food bank lines and collecting non-perishable goods,” he told us, “and then packing it in barrels and in boxes, and then they ship it back to the Dominican Republic.”

We asked him how he knew the food was being purchased with food stamps.

“Some of them have openly told me and my wife that that’s what they’re doing,” he said. “And then the other way is the math.”

The math is straightforward. A 50-pound bag of rice costs $30 in Lawrence. That same bag costs $35 in the Dominican Republic. Add shipping, and the economics make no sense unless the food was free or paid for with government benefits.

John drove us through the streets of Lawrence and showed us the evidence hiding in plain sight: blue shipping barrels, stacked outside corner stores, for sale. Not one store. Not two. Store after store after store.

“These barrels aren’t trash cans,” John said. “They’re being used to ship the product.”

Every one of those stores also advertised, prominently, that they accept EBT.

Abigail has worked in Lawrence since 2011. She asked us not to disclose her profession, but her job takes her inside people’s homes on a daily basis.

“Many of them will have large boxes, large bins in their apartments full of the food that they give out at the pantries here,” she told us. “And when I ask them what it’s for, they say they mail it back so it can either be given to their families there or be sold in the bodegas there.”

We asked if these patients knew they were doing something wrong.

“No,” she said, and laughed quietly. “They feel entitled. They feel like that’s what we come here for.”

We asked how widespread she believed the fraud to be among the patients she visits.

“About half,” she said. “Half the people I see.”

New York

Massachusetts has some of the strictest wiretapping laws in the country, which limited what we could capture on camera. So we moved the investigation to New York.

In the Bronx, we located a storage facility being used by numerous Dominican shipping companies as a distribution hub. We sent in an associate with a hidden camera. A worker confirmed explicitly, on camera, that people are using EBT to purchase the food being shipped in those boxes.

From there, the food moves to Port Newark, one of the largest container terminals on the East Coast. It is from Port Newark that tens of thousands of pounds of food, likely amounting to millions of dollars, is loaded onto ships bound for the Dominican Republic.

Santo Domingo

Inside a small bodega in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, a shop owner told us on camera that the inventory is purchased with EBT cards in New York. The prices on the shelves told the same story. The food was selling for roughly the same price as it does in the United States. After shipping costs, that price only makes sense if the food was obtained for free.

At a second shop in Santo Domingo, the owner told us she gets her inventory from churches in New York City, and that when she goes to collect the food, she uses her Dominican ID and her mother’s American address.

In boxes behind her: Ronzoni pasta, Campbell’s chicken noodle soup, Goya beans, Quaker oats, and more. Food donated by Americans, intended for Americans, now sitting in a bodega in Santo Domingo.

RINO turncoat Mike Pence is back in the news, condemning Trump over the $1.776 billion weaponization fund to compensate victims of Biden-era lawfare. 

The fund was created in exchange for Trump dropping more than $10 billion in legal action against the federal government for leaking his tax returns and weaponizing the Justice Department against him. Trump recently told reporters that he wants to reimburse “people that were horribly treated,” including January 6 patriots, pro-lifers, and others who were targeted for their political views under Biden.

“They’ve been weaponized, they’ve been, in some cases, imprisoned wrongly. They paid legal fees that they didn’t have. They’ve gone bankrupt, their lives have been destroyed, and they turn out to be right,” the President said.

During an interview on NBC’s Meet the Press with host Kristen Welker, Pence decried the notion, calling on the Trump Administration to “get rid of this fund.”

Welker framed the question with the typical Democratic talking point as if the fund is only meant to compensate “people who attacked law enforcement officers,” while ignoring the peaceful victims of brutality from the Capitol Police and individuals who were slapped with absurd charges while standing no chance in the DC show trials.

Pence played right into it, describing the fund as “deeply offensive.”

“It’s a bad idea from the start, and I would encourage the administration just to drop it,” he said.

Welker: You’ve heard about the President’s $1.8 billion fund, the so-called anti-weaponization fund, to pay people who say they were unfairly investigated or prosecuted by the government. It’s tied up in the courts right now, but Mr. Vice President, should the government in any instance compensate people who attacked law enforcement officers on January 6?

Pence: Well, look, I think that the weaponization fund is a, it’s a bad idea from the start, and I would encourage the administration just to drop it. The Justice Department has the ability to settle cases like they did with that pro-life family who was put upon during the Biden administration, got us a well-deserved seven figure settlement this week, but let’s get rid of this fund.

I mean, it is deeply offensive to me that you could have a fund that could even possibly compensate people who assaulted police officers or vandalized the Capitol on january 6, and I think that is broadly held by most Republicans and most Americans.

As Senate Republicans revolt against Trump on a number of issues, in part, due to the weaponization fund, Reps. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA) and Tom Suozzi (D-NY) are leading a House effort to draft legislation to block it.

Senate Republicans broke for a ten-day recess last week, delaying the reconciliation vote to fund ICE, Border Patrol, and Secret Service to buck Trump over the weaponization fund, his White House Ball Room renovation, and his endorsement of Ken Paxton to replace RINO John Cornyn.

RINO Thom Tillis, who has described the fund as “tyranny” and a “payout pot for punks,” has vowed to work with other RINO Senators like Bill Cassidy (R-LA), John Cornyn (R-TX), and Mitch McConnell (R-KY) to buck Trump until they’re out of office because of issues like the weaponization fund.

Meanwhile, as The Gateway Pundit reported, U.S. District Court Judge Leonie Brinkema of the Eastern District of Virginia, a Clinton appointee, has temporarily blocked the fund.

For the crowd that doesn’t seem to be able to define what a woman is, Democrat Reps. Yassamin Ansari (D-AZ), Adelita Grijalva (D-AZ), and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) recently went full ‘girl power’ during a press conference.

The trio complained that employers who won’t pay female workers to stay home during menstruation are committing ‘economic violence’ against women.

Reps. Yassamin Ansari said, “Today we are here to talk about women’s pain and how long it’s been overlooked. In the summer of 2015, while starting my career in New York City, I woke up on the floor of my local bodega, drenched in sweat, being dragged into an ambulance. Two male paramedics hovered over me and continued to ask me if I was pregnant. I had passed out from period pain.”

“Even now, every month, I have days where it feels like barbed wire is tightening inside me. I’ve taken 2,000 milligrams ibuprofen in 24 hours and still been in tears from the pain. Often end up on the bathroom floor in the fetal position crying, moaning, or vomiting. Still, I’ve put on a blazer and gone to work.”

“I’ve sat in committee hearings nauseous from the pain, quietly breathing to make my way through it. I’ve given speeches at rallies and run town halls while my body was in full revolt. I smiled for photos while silently wondering if I might faint right then and there. In fact, about 15% of women have period pain so debilitating that it disrupts work or school. That is no small number, and yet we are told to’ suck it up.’”

“It’s why during Women’s History Month, I’ve introduced legislation to give workers up to 12 days of paid leave a year for reproductive health. This would cover period pain, yes, but also menopause symptoms, IVF miscarriages, endometriosis flare-ups, and more.”

Rep. Adelita Grijalva added, “I’m here to speak to the, to the thousands of women in Southern Arizona who are tired of being ignored. They are tired of having their pain minimized. They are tired of a healthcare system that treats women’s bodies like an afterthought.”

“Forcing a worker to choose between paying her rent or losing a day pay to recover from a grueling gynecological procedure is not a choice. It’s an economic violence.”

“We are done being gaslit in the exam room. Health is not a luxury and our pain is not an inconvenience. It is time to pass healthcare agenda that truly sees us, respects us, and protects us. It’s time to acknowledge our country’s history history of systemic injustice in women’s healthcare and needs to end.”

Rashida Tlaib closed out the remarks saying, “We’re sick and tired of women having to be expected to say suck it up or still perform at the highest level. They are expected to show up to work despite incredibly painful periods and sit through meetings after being denied competent healthcare. And for far too long, women’s pain has been minimized, ignored, dismissed, and even politicized.”

“We have to guarantee paid leave for reproductive health. That is the minimum.”

“No one should have to choose between their paycheck and their health to be able to manage that kind of incredible pain. This is about listening to us, listening to women when they say they are hurting and that they’re in so much pain, and rejecting the dangerous idea that suffering is simply the price of being a woman.”

“Women’s pain is so often dismissed, minimized, or treated as inconvenient instead of a medical priority. I know this personally. For years, I lost 1 or 2 days of work every month to hormonal migraines, nausea, and severe period pain. And when I did stay at work, I wore sunglasses to block the fluorescent office lights. Our pain is real, and it can no longer be ignored.”

“I’ve seen what happens when women, especially Black women, don’t have access to the care that takes their body seriously. We have been penalized economically for our biology that has been ignored clinically.”

“Only now in 2026 is science finally catching up to women’s pain. And that’s because women like the one standing here with me have refused to be silenced as friends, partners, and even our own doctors have told us when we are being overly dramatic.”

Rep. Marie A. Hopkins, a Republican state legislator serving in the Rhode Island House of Representatives, reminded the gals of the obvious, “Ladies, you can’t keep saying men can be women, but then also say that women are a special category. You’ve got to pick a lane. You’re very confusing to the rest of us.”

France’s biggest football triumph of the year once again—for the second year in a row–descended into a night of riots, looting, arson, and street violence, reinforcing growing concerns that public disorder has become a recurring feature of major national celebrations.

By dawn, following Paris Saint-Germain FC’s victory over Arsenal in the Champions League final in Budapest, Hungary, at least 416 people had been arrested across the country, including 283 in Paris. Meanwhile, Budapest remained calm.

Seven police officers were injured, businesses were looted, vehicles were torched, and large sections of the capital resembled a security operation rather than a victory celebration.

The most remarkable aspect of the violence, for many French citizens, was not its scale but its predictability. Days before PSG even took the field, authorities—and business owners—were already preparing for riots,

The French state deployed more than 22,000 police officers and gendarmes nationwide, including 8,000 in Paris alone. Such numbers would normally be associated with a major security threat, not a soccer match.

Yet despite the massive deployment, violence still erupted across Paris and at least 15 other cities. Looters targeted businesses, fires were set in multiple locations, and police were forced into repeated confrontations with aggressive crowds.

The scenes followed a pattern that has become increasingly familiar. What begins as celebration quickly transforms into vandalism, attacks on public property, confrontations with law enforcement, and mass arrests.

Marine Le Pen, the defacto leader of France’s most popular party National Rally, responded with a question many French citizens have been asking for years: why does a football victory so often end in urban chaos?

“Only in France does the victory of a football club provoke riots,” Le Pen said, lamenting a situation in which many residents feel compelled to avoid city centers during major public celebrations.

Jordan Bardella, another senior figure in the National Rally, was equally blunt. He condemned what he described as the same recurring cycle of destruction that follows one event after another.

“The modus operandi is always the same: stone, destroy, pillage,” Bardella said.

For critics of the Macron government, of which there’s an ever increasing amount of, the riots represent more than isolated criminal acts. They argue the disturbances expose a deeper crisis of authority, where the state increasingly struggles to impose order despite deploying enormous resources.

The numbers alone are striking. Hundreds arrested. Thousands of officers mobilized. Businesses damaged. Public infrastructure vandalized. Yet none of it came as a surprise.

That predictability is precisely what alarms many. When governments begin planning for riots as a routine consequence of sporting celebrations, something has gone fundamentally wrong.

The disturbances have reignited a broader national debate over mass migration, demographic shifts, public order, law enforcement, and the limits of existing policies. Many voters increasingly question why such scenes continue to repeat themselves year after year.

Business owners and local residents, unfortunately, usually bear the immediate costs. Shops are boarded up, public spaces are damaged, and ordinary citizens are left to navigate the aftermath.

For many French voters, the PSG riots are no longer simply about football. They are viewed as another example of a broader inability to maintain order in public spaces and protect communities from recurring waves of violence.

As courts process hundreds of arrests and investigators assess the damage, France once again faces uncomfortable questions. Not merely about what happened during one chaotic night, but about why these scenes have become so familiar that authorities now prepare for them as a matter of routine.
