A 21-year-old university student, young mother, and pregnant woman has been convicted in Poland for the “crime” of speaking the truth about mass immigration.
On July 16, 2026, the District Court in Zamość found Oliwia Olejniczak guilty of “inciting hatred” and slapped her with a 3,000 PLN fine (roughly $800–$1,000) for remarks she made at a completely legal and peaceful “Stop Immigration” rally on July 19, 2025. She was pregnant with her second child at the time of the verdict.
Her husband, Adam Olejniczak, reached out to The Gateway Pundit with the details of this outrageous free-speech persecution under Donald Tusk’s left-liberal government.
Oliwia, a top physiotherapy student and mother of a one-year-old, took the stage in Zamość, one of roughly a hundred similar demonstrations held across Poland that day, and voiced the fears shared by countless ordinary Poles.
She spoke about the real risks of uncontrolled mass immigration from incompatible cultures: rising crime, violence, and rape already plaguing Western Europe.
Adam Olejniczak wrote to The Gateway Pundit:
“My wife, Oliwia Olejniczak, a 21-year-old university student, young mother, and (at the time of the verdict) pregnant with our second child, was recently convicted and fined ~3,500 PLN (around $1000) simply for speaking out against mass immigration.
On 19 July 2025 she took the stage at a peaceful, legal “Stop Immigration” rally in Zamość — one of roughly a hundred such demonstrations held across Poland that same day. Two days later an investigation was opened. On 16 July 2026 the District Court in Zamość found her guilty of “inciting hatred” and imposed the fine.
Notably, the case was not handled by the local prosecutor’s office in Zamość. Instead it was immediately taken up by the other District Prosecutor’s Office, an office roughly an hour away that is widely known for its ideologically leftist leanings.
They launched proceedings against Oliwia with extraordinary speed. In the Polish justice system such rapid action almost never happens unless the target is someone who has criticized the current left-liberal government.
During her speech she voiced legitimate fears for her own safety and that of our young child. She warned that uncontrolled mass immigration of people from incompatible cultures would bring the same rise in crime, violence and rape already visible in Western Europe.
She said the words “That could have been me, that could have been you,” directly referencing a horrific crime that had occurred only weeks earlier in Toruń: a 24-year-old Polish woman from her home region was brutally murdered by an illegal Venezuelan national who gouged out her eyes so she could not identify him and then killed her.
This fear was not abstract. Not long before the rally, Oliwia had already taken part in protests in our region against the opening of special centers for migrants.
Across Poland, dozens of such facilities were being established where illegal immigrants — many of whom had crossed the eastern border illegally — were to receive assistance and even help legalizing their stay. These centers were part of a broader policy that many ordinary Poles, including my wife, saw as a direct threat to public safety.
Among the emotional lines she spoke were:
“I am a mother, I am a Pole. I am afraid for the future of my child. I am simply afraid that some Black man will come when I am out walking with my child and harm us. Do not let Black people and Islamists colonize our beautiful Zamość. Down with immigration!”After the verdict she stated clearly:
“I am simply a mother who wants her child to be able to walk safely on the streets of a Polish city. I just wanted Poland to remain safe. I don’t want to be afraid of evening walks. I don’t want to be afraid of strangers on the street. At the rally many statistics were presented from Western European countries where mass immigration, especially from Africa and Islamic countries, has brought a rise in crime — these are facts, not racism.”There was no call to violence and no incitement to hatred — only a mother’s public warning about real risks. Yet the court convicted her. In its reasoning the court even treated slogans such as “A Pole is the host in Poland,” “That could have been me,” or “Down with immigration” as racism, incitement to hatred, and psychological manipulation intended to frighten people. This is absurd.
Official statistics from Western Europe clearly show that certain groups of immigrants commit far more crimes per capita than the native population. Pointing out these facts is not hatred — it is reality.
The double standard is glaring: while my wife was swiftly investigated and punished for her words, the Venezuelan murderer still has not received a final sentence more than a year later.
The court imposed this financial penalty knowing our circumstances. We are both full-time physiotherapy students at the university, raising a small child and relying on academic scholarships.
My wife is currently the top physiotherapy student at the entire university; I am second. We work hard because we want to help people through our future profession.
Last year my wife was one of the main organizers of a large charity event that helped a hundred children from orphanages in our region. She also organized the local March for Life and Family. She is a person with an angelic heart — yet the court treated her as if she were some kind of beast inciting hatred.
In addition to the 3,000 PLN fine, the prosecution had demanded 10 months of restriction of liberty for my pregnant wife! This demand alone is an unimaginable absurdity. They also commissioned a linguistic expert opinion that cost approximately 5,000 PLN (about $1,300).
That expert produced an extremely left-wing, politicized report that went far beyond linguistics and even urged the authorities to punish such statements harshly so Poland would not become “anti-democratic, dangerous and backward.”
The court itself completely rejected this opinion as incomplete, non-objective and biased — so we were spared being burdened with those extra thousands of zlotys. Despite discarding the expert’s report, however, the court still adopted essentially the same narrative that the far-left expert had pushed.
Altogether we were looking at a potential cost of around 8,000 PLN (roughly $2,100) plus the threat of 10 months of restricted freedom.
The conviction has no legal foundation under Polish free-speech protections or the European Convention on Human Rights. Ordo Iuris, the respected Christian-conservative legal institute that defends civil liberties, is representing Oliwia and has already announced an appeal demanding full acquittal.
Since the case became public, the harassment has intensified. My wife, myself, and even our young child have become targets of online insults. There have been isolated but very real threats coming from leftist, including some who live in our own city.
Poland was long regarded as one of the most resistant countries in Europe to the woke agenda. Under the current liberal government that resistance is being systematically dismantled.
Citizens who dare to warn about the dangers of mass immigration are now being prosecuted while real violent criminals face far slower justice.”
This is not isolated. It is the same pattern of speech policing and elite double standards we have documented across Europe and increasingly in the United States.
A young Polish mother is punished for protecting her children. The actual killers and the politicians importing the chaos face far less urgency. Free speech is under attack in Poland just as it is elsewhere. The voice of a young mother should never be treated as a crime.
