Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) dropped the hammer on Dr. Anthony Fauci during Wednesday’s Senate Homeland Security Committee hearing on the federal government’s catastrophic COVID response, waving a massive stack of papers in the disgraced former NIAID director’s face and exposing one of the most brazen lies of the pandemic.

Johnson zeroed in on Fauci’s August 29, 2021 CNN appearance where the so-called “science” declared there was “no evidence” ivermectin was helpful against COVID.

“You said there’s no evidence that ivermectin is helpful,” Johnson said. “On that exact same day… There was a website that was tracking the randomized controlled studies. Here they are showing 60, 70% efficacy of ivermectin. The same day you say there’s no evidence. There was all kinds of evidence.”

Johnson didn’t stop there. He pressed Fauci on whether he was involved in the FDA’s coordinated attack on the Nobel Prize-winning drug, and on the parallel sabotage of hydroxychloroquine, because the only way to secure emergency use authorization for the experimental mRNA shots was to claim no effective treatments existed.

Johnson: Loved ones had to go to hospitals, had to sue hospitals. Just, “Would you try it?” So I would want to know, to what extent were you involved in sabotaging hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin? And did you do that because you knew the only way you could get emergency use authorization for these experimental gene therapies was if there was no effective treatment? You couldn’t get the emergency use authorization. So is that why you helped sabotage these cheap generic drugs in favor of Remdesivir, which, by the way, nurses—are you aware of the fact that nurses called it “Run, Death Is Near”?

After the confrontation, Fauci declined to answer the question, stating: “On the advice of counsel, I respectfully decline to answer based upon my rights under the Fifth Amendment.”

The Gateway Pundi has been covering this for years. There are now 106 Ivermectin COVID-19 controlled studies showing a 62% lower risk of early treatment in COVID-19 patients.

The chart, titled “Ivermectin for COVID-19 – 106 studies with more than 200,000 patients,” claimed that pooled data from randomized controlled trials and observational studies showed significant reductions in mortality, hospitalization, ICU admission, viral clearance, and other serious COVID-19 outcomes among patients treated with ivermectin.

Johnson argued that this type of evidence was publicly available on the very day Fauci asserted there was “no evidence” that ivermectin was effective, calling the statement demonstrably false.

Merz’s competence is questioned in his own party.

When Olaf Scholz lost a no-confidence vote and was dismissed as German Chancellor back in February 2025, all of Germany let out a sigh of relief.

Scholz seemed the absolute worst leader for a Germany filled with illegal migrants, with a stagnant economy that is de-industrializing at a rapid pace.

But they haven’t seen Friedrich Merz yet.

Less than 18 months later, the failure of Chancellor Merz is depicted in his poll numbers – historical for all the wrong reasons.

ARD-DeutschlandTrend poll: 13% satisfied with Merz’s work as Chancellor; 84–87% dissatisfied. That’s the weakest rating for any incumbent chancellor in nearly 30 years of the poll.

RTL/n-tv Trendbarometer poll: 14% satisfied, 85% dissatisfied (Merz is ‘stable’ at recent lows).

So, you have a highly unpopular Chancellor, stuck in record-low favorability numbers.

Merz’s solution was to promote a reshuffle in his government, looking for a ‘fresh restart’.

Unsurprisingly, the move backfired, with intensified pressure on ‌Merz after his reshuffle angered his own ranks and put a spotlight on his government’s competence.

Many in his own CDU party doubt that he can be the man to oppose the right-wing surge at state elections in September.

“After a testing first year in office, Merz’s CDU/CSU bloc is trailing in national polls behind the far-right Alternative for Germany, or AfD, and in several states.

[…] Merz’s personal popularity ⁠has sunk, according to a poll by broadcasting group RTL/ntv published on Tuesday, with only 15% of respondents satisfied with his performance, and only 49% of his ​own party’s supporters happy with him.

The AfD has also for the first time overtaken the conservatives on perceptions of competence and ability to solve Germany’s problems, the poll ​said.

‘The events of the past week have significantly damaged Merz’s standing within the CDU’, a member of the CDU federal executive board told Reuters.”

“Discontent in Merz’s party — the conservative Christian Democratic Union — has been mounting for two weeks now.

[…] No one is yet saying out loud that Merz should go. But if his party performs poorly in three state elections in September, the crisis will likely become much harder to contain.

[…] For now, Germany’s conservative politicians are holding back in public, at least until this fall’s elections: in Saxony-Anhalt on Sept. 6, then in Berlin and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern two weeks later.

In private, however, talking about replacing the chancellor is no longer taboo.”

Senator Bernie Moreno (R-OH) torched Dr. Fauci during Wednesday’s hearing.

After enjoying his celebrity status and appearing on all of the networks during the Covid pandemic, all of a sudden Fauci doesn’t want to talk.

Dr. Fauci invoked the Fifth Amendment in his opening statement in front of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee on his actions that led to the COVID pandemic and his many lies told to the American public.

Senator Joni Ernst told Fox News that Fauci pleaded the Fifth Amendment 111 times.

Senator Moreno fumed as he confronted Dr. Fauci.

“Here I am sitting in front of you six years later, saying, who the f*ck do you think you were for doing that?” Moreno asked Fauci.

“It is a total disgrace what you did to this country, and if my Democrat colleagues are standing there defending you, I hope the voters — the United States of America, watch the clips of every one of you doting on a guy who is more interested in being a celebrity than saving American people,” The Ohio Senator said.

Bernie Moreno asked one of his staffers to give Fauci a copy of the US Constitution as the monster sat there and smugly refused to answer questions.

When Moreno asked Fauci if he knew what the Fifth Amendment said, Fauci once again repeated the line given to him by his attorneys.

Senator Moreno also asked Fauci to turn around and look at everyone he hurt with his lockdowns, vax mandates, and mask mandates and apologize.

Dr. Fauci wouldn’t even look them. “What a disgrace,” Moreno said.

“Fauci’s message to the countless Americans he locked in their homes, who were fired from their jobs over vax mandates, the children he forced to wear masks? “I plead the 5th.” Criminal,” Bernie Moreno said.

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier just dropped the hammer on Dr. Anthony Fauci.

In a post on X on Wednesday, the Free State of Florida’s top law enforcement officer announced that his office is launching a formal state-level investigation into the former NIAID director following Fauci’s stunning refusal to answer questions under oath before Congress.

“Fauci’s lack of candor to Congress is unbelievable,” Uthmeier wrote. “My office is launching an investigation into Dr. Fauci. It’s past time we get the truth of what happened during COVID.”

The announcement comes hours after Fauci appeared before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, chaired by longtime Fauci critic Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY).

Faced with pointed questions about gain-of-function research, the origins of COVID-19, his agency’s funding of the Wuhan Institute of Virology, and his own contradictory diary entries, the 85-year-old Fauci repeatedly invoked the Fifth Amendment, declining to answer more than 50 times and, according to some reports, over 100 times.

Fauci claimed Sen. Paul had an “unhinged obsession” with prosecuting him and that the hearing was designed to trap him into perjury.

Paul and other Republicans noted that former President Joe Biden’s last-minute preemptive pardon of Fauci does not erase the record, does not prevent new perjury charges for today’s testimony, and most importantly, does nothing to shield him from state-level prosecutions.

President Trump is set to make an announcement this afternoon with Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy on renovation plans for Dulles International Airport in Virginia. 

Per the Hill:

President Trump and Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy on Wednesday afternoon will announce plans for a new renovation project at Dulles International Airport near Washington.

The more than $20 billion project includes adding a new underground system to connect terminals and nixing the airport’s well-known people movers, according to sources familiar. The mobile lounges have been under the microscope since one crashed into a dock at the airport late last year, injuring more than a dozen people.

The announcement comes as the Trump administration has received scrutiny for other renovations, including Trump’s ballroom project at the White House and the revamped Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.

President Trump has previously called Dulles a “terrible airport” and “incorrectly designed,” according to CBS.

He has also expressed dissatisfaction with the airport’s “parking that’s two miles away” and the “crazy” lounge transportation system.

Congress has previously introduced efforts to rename the airport “Donald J. Trump International Airport.”

The Federal Reserve on Wednesday voted to keep rates unchanged.

The Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) voted 9-3 to keep rates at the range of 3.5% to 3.75%.

CNBC reported:

The Federal Reserve kept interest rates unchanged Wednesday, but the central bank’s latest policy decision could still have significant implications for household budgets.

Higher energy prices stemming from the Iran conflict may have lasting inflationary effects, which likely contributed to the Fed’s decision to leave rates on hold as policymakers wait to gauge the economic fallout, economists said. The dynamic could also lead policymakers to consider raising rates at their September meeting, even as President Donald Trump has said that the U.S. “should have the lowest interest rate in the world.”

“It’s very difficult to read the chairman and know his view of the path forward,” said Eugenio Alemán, chief economist at Raymond James, referring to new Fed Chairman Kevin Warsh.

However, any move toward higher rates would increase borrowing costs for consumers at a time when affordability pressures are already mounting. “Consumers will remain stressed going forward, and if they start increasing interest rates, conditions are going to deteriorate further,” Alemán said.

The FOMC issued a statement:

The Committee decided to maintain the target range for the federal funds rate at 3-1/2 to 3-3/4 percent, in support of the Federal Reserve’s dual mandate. The Committee is continuing its policy of maintaining ample reserves in the banking system.

Economic activity is expanding at a solid pace despite elevated uncertainty that owes, in part, to the conflict in the Middle East. Productivity growth and capital investment are strong. Job gains have kept pace with the workforce, and the unemployment rate has changed little.

Inflation remains elevated relative to the Committee’s 2 percent goal, in part reflecting supply shocks that have driven price increases in certain sectors, including energy. The Committee will deliver price stability.

Voting against the monetary policy action were Beth M. Hammack, Neel Kashkari, and Lorie K. Logan, who preferred to raise the target range for the federal funds rate by 1/4 percentage point at this meeting.

Fed Chairman Kevin Warsh held a press conference at the conclusion of the July meeting.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former NIAID director and face of America’s disastrous COVID response, finally appeared under subpoena Wednesday morning before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.

Fauci REFUSED to testify pleading the 5th Amendment out of the gate.

The hearing, titled “Testimony of Anthony Fauci,” began at 8:30 a.m. ET on July 29 in Room SD-342 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building, according to the official committee notice.

Committee Chairman Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) had to force him there. After months of negotiations, Fauci agreed to testify, then backed out. Paul issued the subpoena. “He will testify in July,” Paul announced. Accountability is coming.

But Fauci refused to testify.

The monster is guilty as sin.

As The Gateway Pundit reported earlier —

This is the same Fauci who told Congress under oath that the NIH “has not ever and does not now fund gain-of-function research” at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, while the evidence shows U.S. taxpayer dollars did exactly that.

The same Fauci who dismissed the lab-leak theory as a “conspiracy” even as private notes and emails showed early concerns about engineered features in the virus. The same Fauci who received a preemptive, blanket pardon from Joe Biden on the way out the door.

And that is just the tip of the iceberg. Literally every single position Fauci proposed during the pandemic was inane and false.

Fauci didn’t care. The wicked man knew he had to hide his involvement in funding the studies that resulted in the lab leak in Wuhan, China.

The founder and owner of the messaging/social media app Telegram, Pavel Durov, saw his judicial situation become more complicated today (29).

Besides his ongoing case in France – where he faces criminal prosecution for 12 counts, including complicity in drug trafficking and child sexual exploitation – now Durov is ‘wanted’ in his native Russia.

Russia’s main domestic security agency, the FSB, announced that Durov has been charged with aiding terrorism and put on an international wanted list.

CBS News reported:

“The charges against Durov, who was born and began his career in Russia but later moved abroad, came as the Russian authorities restrict Telegram, one of the most popular messaging apps in the country.

[…] Soon after the charges were announced, Telegram’s official account on X posted an image of Durov making an obscene gesture with his middle finger. There was no other immediate comment from Durov or Telegram.”

Russia has declared Telegram founder Pavel Durov wanted internationally on charges of assisting terrorist activity.

The reason was the refusal of Telegram’s administration to delete a number of channels, chats, and bots at the request of the FSB.

Russia just put the Telegram founder on an international most-wanted list.

The FSB charged Pavel Durov with aiding terrorism and issued a warrant for his arrest, accusing him of letting Ukrainian intelligence use the app to coordinate attacks inside Russia.

Anthony Fauci declined Wednesday to testify at a Senate hearing on Covid, saying he was invoking the Fifth Amendment in order to avoid baseless prosecution by Republicans.

In his opening statement to the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, Fauci said that Chairman Rand Paul (R-KY) was attempting to use the hearing to satisfy his “obvious obsession with calling for my prosecution.”

“The sole reason he is calling me before this committee is to get me to say something, anything, that could vindicate his repeated public pledges that I end up, in his words, ‘behind bars,’” Fauci said. He added that he believed that his previous cooperation with various congressional committees “proved that I believe in and respect the value of legitimate congressional oversight.”

Paul declared that Fauci would face consequences for his decision to invoke the Fifth Amendment. “It’s against the law to obstruct an investigation of Congress,” the senator said. “There will be repercussions to your refusal to testify today.”

As The Gateway Pundit’s Jim Hoft reported, Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former NIAID director and face of America’s disastrous COVID response, finally appeared under subpoena Wednesday morning before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, which Paul chairs.

This hearing comes after Paul released Fauci’s Diary Package over the weekend, which shows a bizarre yet characteristic obsession with fame, even as the death toll from the pandemic grew.

At one point, after Senator Paul finished his questioning, Fauci’s attorney took over the hearing. Paul eventually had him removed from the room.

Fauci continued to diminish whatever last shred of dignity he had by refusing to hold himself accountable for his dangerous lies and to answer even the most basic questions.

RFK. Jr had just one question on his mind as Fauci continued to stonewall everyone.

He also posted a meme of himself next to Fauci, holding handcuffs, as the National Institutes of Health Director Jay Bhattacharya holds an innocent beagle.

This meme is in reference to Fauci funding cruel animal research experiments where dogs were tortured and killed in the name of ‘science’ for years before the Trump Administration took action begin shutting them down.

He deserves to serve the rest of his years in a jail cell for this alone.
