Vice President JD Vance absolutely unloaded on far-left Michigan Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed on Monday after the Democrat repeatedly targeted Second Lady Usha Vance and members of Vance’s family.

Vance, who is in Michigan campaigning for Republican Senate nominee Mike Rogers, made it personal after El-Sayed spent weeks smearing Usha Vance.

“Now, the last thing I’ll say about Abdul, Mr. El-Sayed, is he has a weird habit of talking about my family. Have you noticed this? Yeah,” Vance said.

“You know, look, I don’t know who his wife is. I’m sure she’s a lovely person, but I would never come to this state and disrespect you or disrespect somebody’s family by talking about another person’s wife, a person who isn’t on the ballot. And yet, Abdul El-Sayed, every time they put a microphone in front of his face, he wants to talk about my wife or my grandfather.”

Vance noted he is “feeling especially protective” because the family has a 5-week-old baby at home and Usha “is doing great and taking great care of him.”

Then he dropped the hammer.

“My message to Abdul El-Sayed is you can pal around with terrorist sympathizers and you can say that America deserved 9/11, or you could empathize not with the children who were targeted at Temple Israel, or— but with the attacker. These are all despicable things, but they’re all things that the people of Michigan will judge you on based on your record. But I actually think that the people of Michigan think it’s kind of weird. When you talk about another guy’s wife. I think the people of Michigan would like you to talk about the public policy ideas you have to make their ideas better.”

He continued: “I think the people of Michigan would like you to talk about how you’re going to protect autoworkers when you’re supporting every single policy that has undercut the wages and jobs of Michigan autoworkers your entire life in public service.”

“But whatever you want to talk about, Abdul, keep my wife’s name the hell out of your mouth because she’s way out of your league.”

The Gateway Pundit previously reported that El-Sayed took what many interpreted as a race-baiting swipe at Usha Vance, who is Indian-American, after the Vice President criticized the Democrat’s radical record.

“So do we think JD is taking Usha with him back in time to meet Papaw, or no…” El-Sayed sneered in an August 22 post on X.

The remark came after Vance said he would like to go back in time and tell his late grandfather—a lifelong working-class Democrat—that the modern Democrat Party had nominated a candidate who equated opposition to Sharia law with white supremacy.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, El-Sayed’s cheap shot appeared to suggest that Vance’s white, working-class Ohio family would not have accepted Usha because of her ethnicity.

Usha responded with grace, saying she “kind of laughed” at El-Sayed’s attack because Vance’s family had always treated her with love.

“His aunt is like a second mother to me,” Usha said. “I have to think that, if they raised children like that, they would’ve been loving as well.”

Michigan will decide in November whether they want more of radical socialist El-Sayed or whether they prefer a senator who actually represents working families instead of attacking them.

US Army Secretary Dan Driscoll has resigned from his role, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Dan Driscoll resigned after months of tension with Secretary of War Pete Hegseth.

Driscoll’s departure comes after US Army Chief of Staff Randy George was fired in April.

“Army Secretary Dan Driscoll has submitted his resignation to President Trump following months of tension with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth over the direction of the service and the ouster of numerous senior Army officers,” The Wall Street Journal reported.

“He is expected to leave the Pentagon in coming days,” WSJ reported.

Fox News also reported that Dan Driscoll resigned.

Last year, Dan Driscoll told Politico’s Dasha Burns that there is no difference between men and women in combat.

Such appears to be the case with a recent Somali refugee who was caught on video attempting to destroy an American flag in broad daylight.

The Gateway Pundit reported,

The man charged with stealing an American flag from a Minnesota medical office, dragging it behind his car, and coming back to shred it is a Somali citizen who was born in Uganda and came to the United States as a refugee, the Department of Homeland Security confirmed to Libs of TikTok.

The suspect is 24-year-old Mahamud Hassan Mahamed, who has been booked on a misdemeanor tab charge of fourth-degree damage to property after the Wednesday incidents.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, Mahamed ripped the flag down in the morning, attached it to his vehicle, and dragged it until bystanders chased him off and recovered it.

Mahamed returned that afternoon and shredded it.

Jail records showed he was held on $2,000 cash bail or $200 conditional release.

It appears Mahamed has since been released and is due back in court in December.

Mahamed already had a live felony file for threats of violence from an April incident at his apartment building. A hearing in that case was scheduled for the same Wednesday as the flag attack.

America is facing a national identity crisis. We have enough problems of our own.

The last thing that we need to do is import millions of people from dissimilar cultures who hate our nation.

Biden-era issues with air traffic controllers appear to be fading away thanks to President Donald Trump ditching DEI policies.

According to Just The News, President Trump has prioritized meritorious applicants in job hiring instead of DEI quotas, which has set air traffic control networks on a path to growth in recruitment and skill.

Following numerous DEI scandals in the air traffic management industry, President Trump took immediate steps by announcing the “best and brightest campaign” alongside Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy.

The campaign targets avid video game players and others predisposed to faster processing speeds. Secretary Duffy addressed these new applicants in an X post, saying “they problem-solve, they’re spatially aware, they do multiple things at the same time.”

Duffy also noted tremendous increases in recruitment numbers, announcing that over 2,000 applicants have been hired by the Department of Transportation following the rollout of the best and brightest program.

Duffy’s program was bolstered by President Trump’s Merit Hiring Plan (Executive Order 14170), which enforced hiring based on skill replacing the Biden-era metric of minority quotas in government jobs.

The Trump administration broke a barrier of hiring procedure by encouraging gamers to work in air control units.

Using targeted YouTube advertising and messaging to appeal to the video gaming community, the Department of Transportation recruited a crop of new younger applicants with improved skills thanks to their knowledge of technical gear.

Contrasting these efforts to streamline and strengthen the air traffic control systems, the Biden administration consistently pushed for further expansion of DEI measures in these critical areas of the government responsible for keeping Americans in the air safe.

Both the Obama and Biden administrations hired people with severe mental instabilities to take up these tasks in order to fulfill purely symbolic diversity quotas.

President Trump put an end to these policies, working closely with Secretary Duffy to ensure the air traffic workforce was staffed with experts selected solely for their adeptness.

Radical Michigan Democrat Abdul El-Sayed, the socialist-backed Senate nominee who narrowly beat a more moderate opponent in August, is out with another campaign moment that is drawing widespread mockery online.

In a press conference clip circulating Monday, El-Sayed stands beside an unidentified woman at the podium as she reads from prepared remarks. She looks down at her papers, appears uncomfortable, and pauses as if she would rather be anywhere else.

Sen. Mallory McMorrow stands nearby, holding notes and has a grip on the woman’s arm. Local Detroit media microphones are clustered in front of them.

At multiple points, El-Sayed leaned toward the woman, nodded aggressively, and appeared to prod her to continue.

“Mike Rogers has a history of voting for bills that protect corporations and harm workers,” she read.

After another agonizing pause, the woman attempted to contrast Rogers with El-Sayed, saying the Democrat rejects corporate PAC money and stands with workers.

She then appeared to call El-Sayed a candidate for the Michigan state Senate, even though he is running for the United States Senate, before concluding that he is “the best person for this assignment.”

El-Sayed’s campaign has already produced its share of bizarre viral moments.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, El-Sayed was mercilessly mocked over a “Blue’s Clues” campaign video in which he danced, sang, and begged Michigan voters for their support.

CNN data analyst Harry Enten also recently described El-Sayed as a “weak candidate” after polling showed him deeply underwater with Michigan voters.

El-Sayed has faced additional scrutiny over his remarks following the March terrorist attack against Temple Israel in West Bloomfield Township.

The Gateway Pundit reported Sunday that El-Sayed apologized to Michigan Jewish Democrats after attempting to offer “broader context” for the attack and declaring that “hurt people hurt people.”

The Gateway Pundit has also reported on El-Sayed’s 2022 remarks in which he compared Oklahoma’s anti-Sharia amendment to the Trail of Tears, the destruction of Black Wall Street, and the Oklahoma City bombing.

El-Sayed will face Trump-endorsed Republican Mike Rogers in November in a crucial race that could determine control of the United States Senate.

If Michigan Democrats were hoping Monday’s event would reassure skeptical voters, this “hostage video” endorsement probably did the exact opposite.

Legendary singer Lionel Richie was hospitalized in the intensive care unit after he fell ill following a performance in St. Louis, Missouri.

This is the second time that Richie, 77, has been hospitalized this summer.

TMZ reported:

Lionel Richie is hospitalized in the intensive care unit in St. Louis after performing in the city over the weekend … TMZ has learned.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ … Lionel checked himself into a local hospital after his Saturday night performance at The Muny in Forest Park to have some tests run.

We’re told Lionel is being cautious and doctors are looking into possible slight dehydration. Our sources say he’s hoping to be discharged Tuesday.

Witnesses at the concert tell us Lionel appeared to be struggling a bit toward the end of the show, asking his team to bring him a chair while performing his final song, “All Night Long,” so he could sit down.

Recall, earlier this summer, Lionel Richie was rushed to a hospital after he had a dizzy spell during his concert in St. Paul, Minnesota.

The 77-year-old sat down after he felt dizzy and was forced to abruptly end his show.

After the June hospitalization, Lionel Richie postponed his concert in Chicago.

“Under advisement by doctors to rest and return to full health, Lionel Richie has postponed his show on Friday, June 26 in Chicago, IL,” the United Center said in June.

Obama-appointed U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani just told the Trump administration and Republican-led states to sit down.

On Monday, the Boston activist judge denied motions by the Justice Department, the U.S. Postal Service, and intervening red-state defendants to undo her 14-day freeze on the mandatory pieces of the Postal Service’s Final Rule on Ballot Mail for Federal Elections.

The TRO she slapped on the rule last week remains in force. A hearing on whether she will convert that freeze into a longer preliminary injunction is set for Wednesday, September 3.

In her electronic order, Talwani argued that the Trump administration and intervening Republican states failed to justify immediately undoing the TRO.

She also rejected their argument that appellate review could come too late, claiming the temporary order is likely not immediately appealable because it lasts only 14 days.

Talwani once again declared that the challengers are likely to succeed in their effort to kill the election-integrity regulations, writing that the USPS likely “lacked authority to issue the Final Rule” and that the rule is “substantively unconstitutional and contrary to law.”

This is the same judge who was forced only days ago to withdraw her previous nationwide injunction after the Supreme Court concluded that the earlier lawsuits were premature because the Postal Service had not yet issued a final rule.

But now that USPS has finalized the regulations, Talwani claims the Supreme Court’s ruling no longer controls the case.

How convenient.

The USPS rule requires state and local election officials to submit their ballot-envelope designs for approval and use a federal portal containing information associated with each mailed ballot, including the voter’s name, address and unique Intelligent Mail barcode.

The Postal Service’s final rule states that the portal is not intended to replace official voter rolls and that USPS will not independently determine voter eligibility. Instead, the system establishes uniform standards for identifying and tracking federal ballot mail.

The rule grew out of President Trump’s March 31 executive order, “Ensuring Citizenship Verification and Integrity in Federal Elections.”

But Democrat-led states and left-wing voting organizations immediately ran to court, claiming the new requirements could prevent allegedly eligible voters from receiving or returning mail ballots.

Talwani embraced that argument, claiming election officials would be unable to redesign envelopes, secure USPS approval, update their election systems, train workers and upload voter information before the midterms.

The judge further argued that imposing the regulations so close to Election Day would violate the public’s need for “clear and settled rules of the road.”

Of course, the practical result of Talwani’s order is that the administration’s attempt to establish uniform mail-ballot safeguards is itself being blocked in the name of avoiding disruption.

Talwani acknowledged that states may voluntarily submit their ballot designs to USPS or upload voter information to the federal portal while the TRO remains in effect. Her order only freezes the mandatory enforcement of the requirements.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, Talwani accused the Postal Service of violating her earlier injunction after the agency completed its final rulemaking process.

The final rule expressly stated that USPS would not implement the requirements for the 2026 election unless the government obtained relief from the court orders then in place.

Talwani nevertheless accused the administration of “complete noncompliance.”

Then, on August 26, The Gateway Pundit reported that Talwani was forced to lift her previous nationwide injunction following the Supreme Court’s ruling in Trump v. California.

Within hours, the left-wing organizations returned with an amended legal attack against the finalized USPS regulations, asking Talwani for a new restraining order.

She gave them exactly what they wanted.

Now Talwani is refusing to lift that block while the clock ticks toward the November midterms.

The next major showdown is scheduled for September 3, when Talwani will hear arguments over whether to extend her judicial blockade against Trump’s mail-ballot safeguards.
