It just happens to be two weeks before the 25th anniversary of the 9-11 Islamic attacks on New York City in 2001 that killed 2,606 innocents in New York City’s Twin Towers.
The 9-11 attacks were the deadliest aviation disasters of all time and the deadliest incident for firefighters and law enforcement, killing 343 and 72 members, respectively.

Nearly 10,000 public health complaints have exposed stomach-churning allegations involving street food vendors across Los Angeles County.
The complaints include dogs eating meat intended for customers, rodents running alongside food, and people urinating near cooking equipment.
The California Post, which obtained the records through a public records request, reported that the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health received 9,746 complaints involving street vendors between 2023 and early 2026.
The allegations fill a staggering 662 pages.
One complaint concerning a taco stand near Hawthorne Boulevard alleged that workers lacked somewhere to wash their hands and failed to change their gloves.
“There was also a dog eating meat from the bag, and the guy still continued to serve the meat from that bag,” the complainant wrote.
The case was subsequently listed as “closed.”
Another complaint near Los Angeles International Airport described mice running near open containers of salsa and condiments positioned alongside garbage cans.
At Venice Beach, meanwhile, someone reported hot dogs, buns, and condiments being left “heating in the sun all day long.”
Other allegations included cockroaches emerging from a food truck, unrefrigerated raw meat sitting in the heat and people urinating around food preparation equipment.
The revelations come as far-left Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass has ordered the LAPD to stop issuing criminal citations against street vendors, including those operating without required permits.
Bass said her administration “stands firmly with street vendors” and is also seeking the dismissal of criminal citations she believes were improperly issued.

Many of the vendors and staff are illegal aliens, protected from deportation by the city’s “sanctuary city” policies.
Los Angeles Business Federation CEO Stuart Waldman said the scale of the complaints was “worse than I thought.”
“It’s crazy to think that a brick-and-mortar restaurant can be shut down if the employees don’t wash their hands,” Waldman said, while street vendors may operate without bathrooms or refrigeration.
Los Angeles County says it has shifted its enforcement strategy away from individual unpermitted sidewalk vendors and toward larger organizations believed to control multiple operations.
An estimated 50,000 street vendors operate throughout Los Angeles, yet just 687 active vending permits were recorded as of September 2024. Only 53 were food-vending permits.
Business owners have also complained that unlicensed vendors can sell directly outside established restaurants and stores without shouldering the same rent, regulatory, and operating costs.

At least 20 hikers are missing after a flash flood ripped through the Grand Canyon in Arizona.
More than 60 people were evacuated from the Grand Canyon as heavy rains moved through the region.
Dozens of people had to be airlifted amid the sudden flash flooding.
“Monsoonal moisture will produce showers and thunderstorms with heavy rain over parts of the Southwest, Great Basin, and Central Rockies through Monday. Flash flooding is possible, especially in and around burn scars and in areas of steep terrain,” the National Weather Service said.

The National Park Service is asking the public to provide information for more than 20 individuals who may be missing or unaccounted for following a significant flash-flood event in Bright Angel Canyon and the Phantom Ranch area on August 29.
Grand Canyon National Park staff, in coordination with the Arizona Department of Public Safety, are continuing evacuation and response efforts and working to account for individuals who may have been in the affected area.
The National Park Service is asking anyone who knows of hikers or backpackers who were in the inner canyon along the Bright Angel Creek corridor on August 29, as well as anyone who had a campground reservation in the affected corridor, to provide information to the National Park Service Investigative Services Branch (ISB). This includes individuals who may have been traveling along the North Kaibab Trail from the North Kaibab Trailhead to Phantom Ranch, staying at Bright Angel Campground, or traveling or staying in the area known as “the Box” north of Phantom Ranch.

Canada’s Prime Minister Mark Carney and President Trump
President Trump secures majority U.S. control over 65 billion barrels of Venezuelan oil as Canada threatens its largest customer and squanders its energy advantage.
On Friday night, Trump announced what he called “THE BIGGEST OIL DEAL IN WORLD HISTORY.”
The United States has secured majority control of more than 65 billion barrels of proven Venezuelan oil reserves through a partnership with private business, at no cost to the American taxpayer.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth negotiated the agreement with Venezuela’s interim President Delcy Rodríguez.
The deal covers 17 strategic fields, targets production of more than 1.5 million barrels per day, and is structured as a long-term arrangement (Venezuela says 25 years; other reports cite 100-year development rights).
Rodríguez called it historic and said it could generate roughly $209 billion in revenue for Venezuela while drawing more than $100 billion in private investment.
Trump posted that the transaction “MORE THAN DOUBLES American Oil Reserves, greatly increases our Oil Supply, and will substantially lower Gas Prices for all Americans, long into the future.”
Rubio called it a win-win: stable, low-cost crude for the United States and investment and jobs for Venezuela.

It also delivers a potentially devastating blow to Canada’s globalist government.
Canada has long benefited from America’s enormous demand for imported heavy crude. In 2025, Canada supplied 63.4% of the crude oil imported by the United States.
Canada exported approximately 4.3 million barrels of crude oil per day that year. Roughly 90.1%, or 3.9 million barrels per day, went directly to the United States.
Those exports were worth approximately $126.1 billion, according to the Canada Energy Regulator.
In other words, Canada’s oil industry remains overwhelmingly dependent on American buyers.
Carney nevertheless continues to escalate his reckless trade confrontation with the United States while pretending Ottawa can use Alberta’s oil as a weapon against Trump.
The Gateway Pundit reported that PM Mark Carney walked away from trade negotiations with Washington and threatened retaliation targeting several American industries.
Alberta Premier Danielle Smith warned that cutting off or taxing Canadian oil exports to the United States would devastate Canada’s economy and destroy hundreds of thousands of Canadian jobs.
While Carney threatens America, Trump is creating alternatives.
Venezuelan crude presents a particularly serious challenge because it competes in many of the same markets as heavy crude produced in Alberta’s oil sands.
U.S. Gulf Coast refineries were specifically designed to process large amounts of heavy crude. Venezuelan oil could therefore compete directly with Western Canadian Select, pressure Canadian prices, and weaken Ottawa’s negotiating leverage.
Phillips 66 CEO Mark Lashier previously acknowledged that competitively priced Venezuelan crude could displace some Canadian heavy oil. Before sanctions were imposed in 2019, Gulf Coast refineries routinely processed as much as 800,000 barrels of Venezuelan crude per day, Reuters reported.
Trump has been laying the foundation for this energy realignment for months.
Following the capture of socialist dictator Nicolás Maduro, Trump announced that Venezuela would transfer between 30 million and 50 million barrels of sanctioned oil to the United States.
The Gateway Pundit reported that the oil would be sold at market prices, with the proceeds controlled to benefit both the Venezuelan and American people.
Chevron subsequently increased Venezuelan crude deliveries to the United States to approximately 250,000 barrels per day, as The Gateway Pundit previously reported.
Now Trump has taken the strategy to an entirely new level.
Canada will not lose its American market overnight. Its established pipelines, stable production, geographic proximity, and existing refinery relationships remain important advantages. Venezuela’s neglected oil infrastructure will also require years of work and billions of dollars in investment.
But the strategic balance has changed dramatically.
Carney can no longer assume that the United States will remain permanently dependent on Canadian heavy oil.
Every additional barrel flowing from Venezuela gives American refiners another option, reduces Canada’s market leverage, and exposes the catastrophic stupidity of Ottawa’s years-long war against its own energy industry.
Carney brought threats, tariffs, and globalist bluster.
Trump brought 65 billion barrels of oil.
Once again, President Trump is putting America first and leaving another arrogant foreign leader scrambling to catch up.

A 29-year-old Columbia, South Carolina police officer is dead and a second officer is recovering after a Saturday morning gunfight with a 33-year-old career criminal who should never have been walking the streets.
Officer Christopher DeLong was shot and killed near Southeast Park after answering a domestic-dispute call.
Officer David Dymock was wounded and listed in stable condition. The suspect, Adam Tyler Dowdy of Prosperity, was also killed in the exchange, WANDTV reported.
Columbia Police Chief W.H. “Skip” Holbrook, visibly broken at a Saturday night news conference, said it was the first time in more than half a century a Columbia officer had been shot and killed in the line of duty.
“Our hearts are broken this evening,” Holbrook said. “Together, under the worst circumstances you can possibly imagine, we’re deeply hurt. What started today as any ordinary day has changed everyone’s lives here forever.”
DeLong had been with the department only two years. He leaves a wife and two young children.
Chief Holbrook said Dowdy had an extensive criminal history involving arrests in South Carolina, Kentucky, Wisconsin, and Georgia. His prior charges reportedly included disorderly conduct, contempt of court, public intoxication, controlled-substance possession, and probation violations.
Court records reviewed by FOX 5 Atlanta also show that Dowdy was facing 11 misdemeanor charges in DeKalb County, Georgia, arising from a June 2025 incident.
Those charges reportedly included multiple counts of family-violence battery, simple battery, simple assault, and obstructing a person attempting to make an emergency telephone call.
Dowdy was reportedly free on bond and had a court hearing scheduled for October.
Once again, a man with a long criminal history and pending domestic violence-related charges was walking free, and a brave police officer responding to protect a woman and her property is now dead.
How many innocent Americans and law enforcement officers must pay the price before repeat offenders are kept off the streets?
As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, the consequences of the revolving-door justice system have repeatedly turned deadly. In North Carolina, violent repeat offender Di-Quan Hunt was allegedly arrested and released at least 14 times while his own family pleaded with judges and authorities to keep him confined before he seriously injured—or killed—someone.
The Gateway Pundit has also reported extensively on the murder of Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska, who was allegedly stabbed to death by a homeless repeat offender with a lengthy criminal history aboard a Charlotte light-rail train.
The investigation into Saturday’s shooting is being led by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, with assistance from the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.
Chief Holbrook asked the public to pray for DeLong’s family, Officer Dymock, and the officers now mourning one of their own.
“Pray for these police officers that serve so courageously in our capital city,” Holbrook said.
Officer Christopher DeLong answered the call and made the ultimate sacrifice.
Democrat Rep. James Clyburn (SC) launched a nasty attack against Clarence Thomas and suggested the conservative Supreme Court Justice is a race traitor.
Clyburn made the remarks on NBC’s “Meet the Press” during an interview with host Kristen Welker.
“Do you stand by your decision to make the case for Clarence Thomas’s confirmation?” Kristen Welker asked Clyburn.
“Absolutely not. I have made mistakes in my life and that is one that I’ve made,” Clyburn said.
“I will own up to that mistake,” he said.
“I had no idea that Clarence Thomas would rebel the way he has against his own background and experiences,” Clyburn added.

Last week, in a rare interview, conservative Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas hit back at leftists who believe black people can’t be conservative.
Clarence Thomas sat down for an interview with Senator Ted Cruz on the “Verdict with Ted Cruz” podcast.
Justice Thomas slammed the idea that black people cannot be conservative.
“We had this saying [that there are] only two things I have to do: stay Black and die,” Justice Thomas told Ted Cruz.
“That was a retort to people who had these sort of requirements for us, these these mandates for us because of our skin color,” he said.
“But at any rate, they think that here’s the way you’re supposed to think. Again, here’s your skin color. There’s this kind of deterministic view that you’re supposed to think this because we say so,” Thomas said.
Justice Thomas the left sees him as a “walking contradiction.”
“And I, of course, declined that invitation. And so now that means that something, that I’m a walking contradiction because I’ve deviated from their perception of what I should think,” Justice Thomas said to Ted Cruz.

The Washington Post reported Sunday that several high-level military leaders warned Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth that extending operations against Iran could weaken American defense capabilities in other theaters.
Per the report, the Navy’s top admiral and the heads of U.S. European Command, the U.S. Pacific Command, and the U.S. Southern Command disagreed with extending deployments in the Persian Gulf region. The report cited individuals familiar with the mid-August Secretary of Defense Orders Book (SDOB), which details the disposition of American military assets and personnel, articulates the administration’s priorities for the military, and delivers commentary from military leadership.
The Army and Air Force agreed with extending the deployments, for some groups into 2027, but noted risks to other theaters from the diversion of assets.
The report follows a string of stories about the depletion of American weapons stockpiles, particularly missile interceptors and long-range precision missiles. Extended deployments have particularly affected quality of life on naval vessels.
Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei issued a statement Sunday calling for unity in the Muslim world on the occasion of Muhammad’s birthday.
“The criminal rulers of the U.S. and the illegitimate Zionist regime are the sworn enemies of this unity and friendship,” he wrote. “They aren’t just the enemies of the Islamic Republic, the Iranian nation, and the vast front of Islamic Resistance. Rather, they hold an enmity toward the entire Islamic Ummah, including the nations in West Asia and North Africa.”
Khamenei has not been seen in public since the outbreak of the war in February, even after being named to replace his late father as head of state on March 8.
