Bears QB Caleb Williams Accused of ‘Disrespecting the Flag’ During National Anthem

Chicago Bears football team huddled on the field during a game at Soldier Field, showcasing team unity and strategy.

It’s been a decade since former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick sparked headlines — and quite a bit of ire and controversy — over his attempts to have an uncomfortable conversation about social justice reform.

Kaepernick felt that the best way to go about his cause was to kneel during the traditional performance of “The Star-Spangled Banner” before major sports games.

Those antics did not go over well, with swaths of Americans who felt that Kaepernick’s demonstration was beyond disrespectful to the U.S. flag and country.

It was a legitimate PR nightmare for the NFL, as its viewership took a noticeable hit during Kaepernick’s protests.

Those ratings have since rebounded, and, to be clear, “bad” NFL ratings are still multiples higher than other television programming.

But that doesn’t mean the NFL has any interest in revisiting that controversy anytime soon.

Alas, the internet was none too pleased with the NFL this week after an actual star quarterback (Kaepernick was largely a back-up in 2016) was seen “disrespecting” America during Monday Night Football.

The Chicago Bears, minus their star quarterback Caleb Williams, stomped all over the Philadelphia Eagles in a 27-7 home win.

Williams is out with a hamstring injury, but still accompanied the team ahead of the big primetime match-up.

The NFL opened up Monday night’s festivities with a mariachi band playing the national anthem (which drew its own criticisms).

See if you can spot “Iceman” (a nickname which Williams has been trying to lift from NBA legend George Gervin) during this recital:

If you fast forward to right about the 49-second mark, you can clearly see Williams in his sweats, wearing sunglasses, and casually strolling on the sideline. That was in stark juxtaposition to the other Bears and Eagles players and coaches, who were standing at attention for the anthem.

Christian sports pundit Jon Root actually had little issue with the mariachi band. His focus was on Williams.

“I may be in the minority here, but I thought the mariachi band playing the United States National Anthem for Monday [Night] Football was kinda cool,” Root posted. “The problem people should have is Caleb Williams disrespecting the flag by walking around during the Anthem.”

Other X users echoed these sentiments, with one posting: “Caleb Williams too good for the national anthem? Just wandering the sideline.”

Notably, this isn’t the first time that Williams has been questioned about his behavior during the national anthem.

As Fox News pointed out, Williams was similarly grilled last season when he was spotted hamming it up with a teammate during “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

The Bears will host the woeful New York Jets on Sunday. Williams is not expected to play, as he continues to recover from his injury.

Execution of Murderess in Tennessee HALTED by Court After “Serious Concerns” Are Raised – Would Have Been First Woman Executed in State in Over 200 Years

Christa Gail Pike. Credit: Tennessee Department of Corrections

The first female scheduled to be executed in two centuries in Tennessee has received a reprieve after so-called “serious concerns” emerged.

As NBC News reported, the Sixth Court of Appeals on Wednesday granted convicted murderer Christa Pike a stay of execution roughly an hour before it was scheduled to be carried out.

The stay came after a judge agreed to consider whether the sexual abuse Pike suffered as a child was considered when she was first sentenced.

Judge Jane Branstetter Stranch said her decision was a “short stay of execution” while the argument is reviewed.

“The court has stayed this, recognizing the serious concerns about Christa’s scheduled execution,” stated Stephen Ferrell of the Federal Defenders Services of Eastern Tennessee.

NBC notes that the Supreme Court appeared to be Pike’s remaining chance for a reprieve after Tennessee Governor Bill Lee said he was upholding her death sentence “after deliberate consideration.”

The Court denied her petition Tuesday evening.

Regardless of the horrors of Pike’s past, the horrific crime that she committed in January 1995 near the University of Tennessee in Knoxville is absolutely worthy of the death penalty.

Here are the details via the Daily Mail:

Pike was convicted at the age of 18 in March 1996 for brutally stabbing and beating Knoxville Job Corps student Colleen Slemmer to death.

Her boyfriend, Tadaryl Shipp, and an accomplice, Shadolla Peterson, also helped lure Slemmer to a wooded area before the couple tortured her to death.

The pair carved a pentagram into the teen’s chest, and Peterson testified that he saw Pike also carve something into Slemmer’s head, police evidence showed. Pike also took a piece of her skull as a souvenir, according to investigators.

Slemmer attempted to run for her life, but the couple captured her again and continued the gruesome torture that lasted about 30 minutes to an hour, Pike estimated.

The Daily Mail also notes that Pike demanded earlier this month that she be spared a lethal injection because of her Buddhist beliefs.

She instead requested that an all-female firing squad carry out her execution.

Consumer Confidence Dips to Lowest Level Since 2014

Consumer confidence fell in September amid worsening concerns about high energy costs and general inflation, according to a monthly survey by The Conference Board published Tuesday.

“The Consumer Confidence Index deteriorated notably in September, following two prior months of softening,” said Dana Peterson, the nonprofit’s chief economist. “Over the next six months, consumers expected both business conditions and the labor market to weaken.”

The index declined by 6.7 points to 81.9, the lowest level in a dozen years. In 2014, consumer confidence was still rebounding after the 2008 financial crisis.

Oil prices have spiked as a result of the Iran War, with average prices at the pump rising from $2.98 per gallon to over $4.40 as of Wednesday. The rise in energy prices has contributed to higher overall inflation. Annual inflation was 3.4 percent in August, according to the Consumer Price Index, above the Federal Reserve’s target of 2 percent.

The University of Michigan’s Surveys of Consumers—another respected measure of Americans’ economic sentiments—also found that consumers grew more pessimistic in September.

A lecturer at California State University San Marcos has been removed from her classroom after having a total meltdown because a student asked a question about alcoholism among Native Americans.

In the video, which is posted below, you can hear the lecturer almost having a nervous breakdown before telling the student to exit the class.

You then hear some students explaining to her that they thought the student’s question was genuine.

The College Fix reported:

California State University at San Marcos confirmed that a lecturer is “no longer in the classroom” after a viral video showed her using profanity as she angrily kicked out a student for allegedly asking a question about problems with alcoholism in Native American tribes.

However, the ethnic studies lecturer told The College Fix that the video was “heavily edited.”

University spokesperson Jerry McCormick declined to comment beyond a prepared statement when asked about the video late last week.

“The lecturer is no longer in the classroom,” according to the statement provided to The Fix via email.

“Cal State San Marcos is aware of the situation involving a lecturer and a student in a classroom,” the university stated. “We continue to review the circumstances and context surrounding the incident.”

“CSUSM works to maintain respectful learning environments that support inquiry and meaningful discussion. CSUSM is committed to providing a safe and welcoming space where all members of our community can learn, grow, and thrive.”

Neither the university nor the video named the instructor, but comments on TikTok identified her as Persephone Lewis, an ethnic studies lecturer. CSUSM students must take an ethnic studies course as part of their graduation requirements…

The video begins with the scholar telling the student “no you’re not, no you’re not” when he appears to say “I’m sorry.”

“So get up and get the f— out of my class right now,” she continues. Another clip shows the lecturer saying: “You did this sh– on purpose, you are out of my class. I am dropping you.”

Here’s the video:

People joke about college students being snowflakes but sometimes it’s the professors too.

Iran War Day 215: Iran Spox Says U.S. Delivered Counterproposal for Opening Hormuz

An Iranian government spokeswoman said that Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi presented an American counterproposal for reopening the Strait of Hormuz at a Wednesday cabinet meeting.

Fatemeh Mohajerani said in a Wednesday post on X that the counterproposal had been delivered through Qatari mediators, but she did not describe its substance.

The 1,500 American servicemembers in Iraq’s Kurdish region withdrew from the country Wednesday, marking the first time in years that the U.S. had no military presence in Iraq. CENTCOM announced the withdrawal from Erbil Air Base and the conclusion of Operation Inherent Resolve, the effort launched in 2014 to subdue the Islamic State.

A FlyDubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv made an emergency landing Wednesday in Saudi Arabia after the copilot attacked the pilot and the plane lost altitude precipitously. A passenger and crew member forced their way into the cockpit and restrained the copilot, and two pilot passengers landed the plane. Israel is investigating the case as a terrorist hijacking. Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said it appeared the copilot intended to crash the plane deliberately, and that he has been arrested by Saudi authorities. FlyDubai issued a statement asking the public to refrain from “premature speculation.”

Despite improved oil flows through the Strait of Hormuz, which analysts say have returned to near pre-war levels in recent days, energy prices remain elevated. Brent crude opened at $103 per barrel. AAA reported a national average price per gallon of $4.43 for regular gasoline and $6.41 for diesel.

NEW: Co-Pilot of “Omani Descent” Arrested After Stabbing Captain of Flydubai Flight to Israel as Incredible New Details Emerge Regarding the Attempted “Jihadist Terrorist Attack”

Screenshot via Fox News (photo by @AmichaiStein1)

More astonishing information continues to come out regarding the shocking apparent terror attack on board a plane heading to Israel this morning, and there has been an arrest as well.

As The Gateway Pundit’s Jordan Conradson reported, the Israel-bound Flydubai flight FZ1073 on Wednesday made an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia after plunging thousands of feet and sparking concerns of a hijacking incident from passengers.

The plane was flying from Dubai at the time.

Passengers and Israeli officials revealed that a bloody cockpit altercation resulted in a co-pilot stabbing the captain. The cabin crew then reportedly entered the cockpit and took control of the plane.

Israeli fighter jets were scrambled to the area over the potential hijacking.

Now, the copilot who stabbed his colleague has been arrested for trying to crash the packed passenger plane in “a jihadist terrorist attack.”

The suspect, who is of Omani descent, plotted to bring down the Boeing 737 Max jet with 174 people on board, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said in a statement.

“According to the initial information in our possession, the terrorist had one intention: to crash the plane with all its passengers,” he explained.

The Omani national had worked for FlyDubai for less than a year. Oman does NOT have diplomatic relations with Israel.

Israeli officials are investigating whether the suspect held dual citizenship.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also revealed more shocking details earlier at a press conference regarding the horrifying incident.

Netanyahu said that he spoke to one of the Israeli passengers on board the plane following the attack. The passenger told Netanyahu that the plane went into a spin and began to nosedive.

Fox reported that the plane plunged roughly 17,000 feet in one minute.

When that occurred, the passenger then broke into the cockpit with one of the crew members, and they subdued the terrorist pilot together.

Netanyahu also confirmed that an additional flight crew was on board, entered the cockpit, and managed to stabilize the aircraft.

The passengers are now safely in Saudi Arabia and awaiting methods to return to Israel.

“I salute the heroes who showed extraordinary bravery and, according to the passenger’s account, saved many lives,” Netanyahu said.

WATCH:

Yasmin Abukasis, whose daughter was aboard the flight, revealed additional details to Fox News about the attack.

Abukasis said that her daughter noticed passengers rushing to intervene during the cockpit fight. Her daughter also confirmed that a man had a knife and passengers grabbed his hand and forced him to the floor amid significant bleeding.

These passengers literally stopped an Israeli 9/11. One can imagine movies will be made about this.

Couple Extradited from Mexico for Allegedly Drugging and Smuggling Unaccompanied Alien Children US During Biden Administration

THC laced gummies allegedly used on minors smuggled into the US/Image via The Department of Justice

The Department of Justice (DOJ) announced that during Operation Take Back America, two Mexican nationals were arraigned in the Western District of Texas after being extradited from Mexico for allegedly drugging and smuggling minors into the United States under the Biden Administration.

A federal grand jury returned an indictment on Sept. 24, 2025, charging Susana Guadian, 51, and Daniel Gaudian, 51, both of Juarez, Mexico, with conspiracy to transport aliens and bringing aliens illegally to the United States for financial gain.

The two allegedly gave children THC-Laced gummies to sedate them for travel and prevent them from being able to speak with border patrol.

According to court documents, between approximately May 1 and Oct. 17, 2024, Susana and Daniel Guadian are alleged to have taken part in an alien smuggling organization that brought unaccompanied alien children between the ages of 5 and 13 illegally into the United States from Juarez, Mexico.

The complaint alleges that the two were recruited as drivers to transport the children by car from Mexico to a port of entry at the U.S. border. The complaint further alleges the drivers and their coconspirators would subsequently present U.S. documents to inspecting officers, falsely claiming the documents belonged to the children and that they were the children’s parents.

During at least one smuggling event, the children were given gummy candies containing marijuana to sedate them with one child taken to the hospital due to marijuana poisoning.

The complaint further states that, once inside the United States, the children were then transported to El Paso, where others would pick up the children and provide payment to the drivers.

According to court documents, the drivers were paid $900 for each minor that they brought into the United States.

Co-defendant Manuel Valenzuela was sentenced on July 1 to five years in prison for his role in the child smuggling scheme. Dianne Guadian, another co-defendant, pleaded guilty to her role in the scheme on July 28.

Assistant Attorney General A. Tysen Duva of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division shared, “These defendants are charged with smuggling multiple children across the southern border.”

“The allegations include that they risked the safety of children by giving them THC-laced gummies to sedate them while smuggling them from Mexico into the United States to avoid the children answering questions from border law enforcement.”

“Protecting kids from smugglers, who will stop at nothing to exploit them, will always be one of the Department’s highest priorities.”

U.S. Attorney Justin R. Simmons for the Western District of Texas continued, “Having Susana and Daniel Guadian in custody on this side of the border one year after they were indicted is a major development in a case that highlights the dangerous tactics that human smugglers employ when smuggling children.”

“Like their co-defendants before them, these two will be aggressively prosecuted in federal court and held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.”

Acting Special Agent in Charge Ryan G. McRae of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) El Paso added, “There is nothing more reprehensible than exploiting vulnerable children for profit. Smuggling children across our border is not a victimless crime.”

“Giving children cannabis-infused candy to sedate them is an especially disturbing abuse of their trust and safety. HSI will continue to hold accountable those who facilitate these dangerous schemes that treat children as commodities for financial gain and puts them in harm’s way.”

Operation Take Back America is a nationwide initiative that marshals the full resources of the Department to repel the invasion of illegal immigration, achieve the total elimination of cartels and TCOs, and protect our communities from the perpetrators of violent crime.

WNBA Clown Show: Aja Wilson Trucks Over Sophie Cunningham then Goes at Fan for Pointing at Her – Then Former Player Goes at Same Fan for Pointing! (VIDEO)

It’s like a Jerry Springer brawl masquerading as a professional sports league.

The WNBA proved itself, once again, as not being ready for primetime.

On Tuesday night, WNBA star player Aja Wilson took her frustrations out on a fan for pointing a finger at her.

This took place in the fourth quarter after the game was already won by Caitlin Clark who put on a clinic chalking up a double-double in assists and points to lead the Indianapolis Fever to victory against the Las Vegas team.

Towards the end of the game, Aja Wilson steamrolled over Sophie Cunningham like a truck. The sh*tty refs called a foul on Cunningham for standing in her way. It was another night of the worst referees in sports inserting themselves into the game with horrendous call after horrendous call.

Aja Wilson goes after a fan in his chair during the Indiana playoff game. She was upset he pointed at her and blamed her for a foul.

After Wilson trucked over Cunningham an Indy fan pointed at her. That’s when Wilson went into the seating and started screaming at the man as he sat their drinking his beer.

Aja was given a technical foul for the stunt.

Aja later boasted that she won’t allow a man to come at her or point at her.
Take a chill pill, girl.

Here’s another view of the incident.

But, it’s the WNBA so it didn’t end there.
During the chaos a former NBA player, Sydney Colson, also went after the same man for pointing and was ejected from the game.

It’s not clear who the big girl was in Sydney’s entourage who left the game with Colson.

The fan was questioned by security and returned to the game to cheers.

It was just another night for the WNBA, a league no one cared about before phenom Caitlin Clark was drafted by Indiana.

(VIDEO) Flydubai Flight to Israel Makes Emergency Landing After Co-Pilot Stabs Captain, Jet Plunges Thousands of Feet – Fighter Jets Scrambled Over Potential Hijacking

An Israel-bound Flydubai flight on Wednesday made an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia after plunging thousands of feet and sparking concerns of a hijacking incident from passengers.

Passengers and Israeli officials revealed that a bloody cockpit altercation resulted in a co-pilot stabbing the captain. Israeli officials are currently investigating whether it was an attempted “terror attack,” Fox News reports. Israeli fighter jets were scrambled to the area over the potential hijacking.

The cabin crew reportedly entered the cockpit and took control of the plane.

“There are many different accounts, but apparently the co-pilot stabbed the captain and collapsed onto the controls, shutting down the entire instrument panel. We began plunging downward for several minutes. Everyone on the plane was screaming, the overhead compartments opened, and the power went out. We were sure we were going to die. It was very scary,” a passenger told Fox.

Graphic images from on board the plane show a bloodied passenger who assisted cabin crew members and likely the stabbed pilot.

One passenger spoke to Fox News to describe the scene where there was “a lot of blood” from the stabbing.

Via Fox:

Footage from inside the plane shows the horrifying scene unfolding, with passengers screaming as the plane dives.

According to i24 News correspondent Amichai Stein, the flight had plummeted 4,305 meters, over 14,000 feet, in 30 seconds at 8:22 am local time.

More from Fox:

Fox reported that the plane plunged roughly 17,000 feet in one minute.

This is a developing story.

HORROR IN HOUSTON: Mother Allegedly Shoots and Kills Her 4-Year-Old Daughter After Custody Hearing, Then Turns the Gun on Herself

Credit: Houston Police/X

A 4-year-old girl is dead in west Houston after her own mother allegedly opened fire inside a Memorial-area townhome Tuesday evening, then shot herself in the face.

Houston Police say officers were called around 5:45 p.m. to the 300 block of Terra Reserve Place. They found the little girl dead from a gunshot wound. Her 30-year-old mother was also shot and rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Police say she is expected to survive.

According to FOX 26 Houston, a custody hearing involving the child’s father took place earlier that same morning. Investigators believe the mother lost custody and then snapped.

Lt. Larry Crowson of the Houston Police Department said the mother was at the home with her daughter when the shooting happened. The child’s stepfather and a babysitter were also inside. They heard the gunshots and found the two victims. Neither was physically harmed.

Homicide investigators remain on the scene. The mother has not been publicly identified. No charges have been announced yet as she remains hospitalized.

A 4-year-old girl will never start kindergarten. Her father, who, according to local reports, had just been awarded custody, now faces the unimaginable.

WATCH:

This is the kind of story that should stop the country cold. A preschooler is dead because a custody fight ended with a gun instead of a court order being followed like a civilized society.

The Gateway Pundit reported just weeks ago on another sickening custody-related massacre: a New York mother and grandmother who poisoned and stabbed four children, then killed themselves days before the father was scheduled to finally reunite with them after a six-year fight.
