Duane Davis – on trial for the murder – reportedly told police Diddy offered him $1 million to kill rival rapper.
30 years after the drive-by shooting that killed Tupac Shakur at the height of his fame, Duane ‘Keffe D’ Davis is on trial for masterminding the murder.
According to prosecutors, Tupac’s shooting was part of an LA gang war.
And legal sources suggest to The Telegraph that disgraced rap mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs could face charges linked to the murder.

The Telegraph reported:
“The prosecution’s case hinges on Mr Davis’s own claims to police, in documentary interviews and a memoir, that he sought out Shakur after his nephew was targeted as part of a rival gang feud. They also allege that he was in the white Cadillac from which the fatal bullet was fired, and that he ‘tossed’ the gun to the rapper’s killer.”
The lead prosecutor in the murder case against Duane “Keffe D” Davis told a jury this morning that Davis was associated with Sean “Diddy” Combs when he took part in Tupac Shakur’s 1996 f*tal sh**ting in Las Vegas.

There are secret police recordings from 2008 where Davis tells police he and other gang members from the South Side Compton Crips shot Shakur in 1996.
“In that secret recording – which has been entered into evidence in his trial – Mr. Davis also apparently alleged that Combs, currently serving a 50-month jail sentence for federal prostitution charges, offered him $1m (£750,000) to kill Shakur.
If prosecutors manage to convict Mr. Davis, ‘it gives a green light to take action against Diddy’, a source close to the district attorney’s office told The Telegraph. Mr. Davis is insisting the claims he made were to gain fame and notoriety – and are not true.”

The prosecution says Tupac was killed as payback for the rapper and his bodyguards beating up Davis’s nephew, Orlando Anderson, earlier on the night of the murder.
Prosecutors allege Davis’s allegations about his involvement in the killing of the rapper are true.
“The long-running feud between Combs and Shakur in the nineties largely stems from an armed robbery in which Shakur was shot. He believed he had been set up by Combs and his associates, with the situation only further escalated by the release of a single by Christopher Wallace – better known as the Notorious BIG – Who Shot Ya?”
If the jury convicts Davis, it could ‘add credence to his claims about Combs’s involvement and apparent offer’.
