On Friday, off-duty NYPD detective Jose Mercedes was brutally attacked during a robbery attempt in broad daylight.

While Mercedes was clearing out the trunk of his car, two men on an e-bike approached him and reached for his gold chain.

Mercedes fought back and was brutally stabbed at least seven times to the neck and leg. He was taken to an area hospital and listed in stable condition.

According to The New York Post, the two attackers have been identified, and one of the suspects is in the US illegally.

The accused slasher was identified as 25-year-old D’Angelo Caraballo, while the suspect behind the wheel of the bike was ID’d as Sneider Mejia, 24, who has been living in the country illegally and already had detainer issued for him by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, law-enforcement sources told The Post.

Mejia has one arrest on his rap sheet from last year, but the case has since been sealed, sources said.

Caraballo has two prior arrests — a menacing rap for allegedly threatening to stab a person who rented him a room in the Bronx in July and a 2025 gun possession charge for allegedly lugging a loaded .380 Taurus gun in his car, the sources said.

Fox News’s Bill Melugin reports, ” I’m told by DHS sources that the two suspects wanted for attempted murder in connection to the stabbing & robbery of an off-duty NYPD detective in NYC on Friday are both Dominican illegal aliens who were caught and released at the AZ border by the Biden administration & both have lengthy criminal histories in NYC, including an ignored ICE detainer.”

“Both suspects remain at large, and while NYPD hasn’t officially released their names yet, @FoxNews is told they’ve been identified as 24-year-old SNEIDER MEJIA BAUTISTA and 25-year-old DANGELO RAFAEL JEAN CARABALLO.”

“I’m told that MEJIA BAUTISTA, a Dominican national, was arrested by Border Patrol after crossing the border illegally near San Luis, AZ on 12/2/2022 with his family, and they were all released into the country. He and his family have had deportation orders since 5/8/2025. I’m told that MEJIA BAUTISTA was arrested by NYPD in the Bronx for criminal possession of a weapon on 10/3/2025 and the next day, ICE filed a detainer on him, but the detainer was ignored and he was released from local custody. I’m told he was also arrested by NYPD on 1/7/2025 for criminal possession of stolen property.”

“I’m told that DANGELO RAFAEL JEAN CARABALLO, a Dominican national, was arrested by Border Patrol after crossing the border illegally near San Luis, AZ on 2/2/2023, and he was released into the country with a future court date. He has five prior arrests in NYC, but no ICE detainers were filed because he was released from custody so quickly each time.”

President Trump nuked Fox News on Tuesday for undermining his efforts to elect Republican Senate candidates by giving airtime to their Democratic opponents. 

This morning, Trump went off on Fox and host Martha MacCallum over her “softball interview” with far-left Democratic Michigan Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed on Monday, accusing the network of promoting the Democrats.

Trump confirmed on Monday that he plans to travel to Michigan next week to campaign for Rogers.

And Fox decided to interview El-Sayed just minutes after.

“FoxNews spends more time covering the Jihadist and Dumocrat candidates than they do the good old fashioned Republicans, the people that have saved America, and are making it great again,” Trump said.

“All they talk about is Dumocrat Jihadists like El-Sayed, with his softball interview by Martha MacCallum, and the like.”

“She never interviews me like that,” he continued. “They don’t show my record breaking Rallies the morning after, but others do, and that’s what MAGA is watching. Fox is promoting the Dumocrats, not the Republicans and MAGA. They have totally lost their way!”

Just minutes later, Trump blasted Fox again, this time for interviewing Democratic Nebraska Senate Nominee Dan Osborn.

“FoxNews is long form interviewing the sleazebag, Dan Osborn, right now, who is running against our GREAT Republican Senator, Pete Ricketts, from Nebraska,” Trump said.

Notably, Trump was in Nebraska just last night campaigning for Incumbent Pete Ricketts.

Then Fox News had Osborn on this morning to promote his campaign!

“Why are they doing this???” Trump said, noting that left-wing outlets like CNN never help Republicans like this.

“The ‘other side’ doesn’t give our people any positive exposure or airtime. It is a miracle that I won, the last by a landslide, three Presidential Races!”

Earlier in the week, Trump also slammed Fox News, writing the network “spends more time talking to Communists, Socialists, and Dumocrats, often without rebuttal, and MAGA is not, to put it mildly, happy,” and slamming them for not talking about his rallies in Ohio, Alabama, Texas, and Oklahoma.

“We don’t like stupid Jessica Tarlov, and all of the others, that are forced down MAGA’S throats,” Trump said, hitting the liberal co-host of “The Five,” Jessica Tarlov. He further took aim at the “loser” behind Maria Bartiromo’s ouster.

“Who makes these decisions at FoxNews? Probably the same loser that fired the great Maria Bartiromo because she complained about not being allowed to cover ‘TRUMP,’” he said.

The far-left cable network that spent years treating President Trump like a criminal defendant just woke up under new corporate ownership.

Paramount on Tuesday completed its acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery, creating a combined company that will operate simply as Skydance, according to the New York Post.

The combined enterprise, now standing as a corporate giant valued at nearly $111 billion, including debt, officially brings CNN, CBS, HBO, Warner Bros., and HGTV under one single corporate umbrella. And the left-wing fake news industrial complex is completely losing its mind.

David Ellison, the Skydance founder who already bought Paramount, is chairman and CEO. Ynon Kreiz, the former Mattel chief, is co-CEO.

The Ellison family, led by billionaire tech mogul Larry Ellison, a prominent conservative donor and stalwart supporter of President Donald J. Trump, holds full voting power alongside RedBird Capital.

The Ellison family and RedBird Capital Partners together are the sole holders of the Class A common stock, including 100% of the combined company’s voting shares, the company said in its closing announcement.

For decades, real Americans have watched as corrupt corporate networks smeared patriots, pushed radical narratives, and served as the propaganda arm of the ruling class.

President Trump’s Department of Justice later cleared the full-company deal, finding it was not likely to harm competition. That was not good enough for the blue-state lawfare machine.

In July, California Attorney General Rob Bonta and a coalition of Democrat attorneys general sued to kill it, and Biden-appointed U.S. District Judge Araceli Martínez-Olguín issued a temporary restraining order, as The Gateway Pundit reported.

Paramount blasted the challenge as one of the weakest merger cases in modern antitrust history. Advisers even floated moving tens of billions in planned spending out of California.

The states eventually settled. The price of peace includes an editorial-independence board over CNN and CBS News, continued operation of the studio lots, and other conditions.

Mark Thompson stays on as CNN’s chief. Bari Weiss is set to lead CBS News. So nobody should pretend the 9 a.m. CNN chyron just flipped to a Trump rally. The settlement was written to stop exactly that.

Still, the mood inside the building already told the story. Last month, insiders told Variety the mood at CNN was “like a funeral” as the Paramount close approached, as The Gateway Pundit reported. Staffers were not mourning journalism. They were mourning the possibility that resistance TV might have to answer to owners who are not on the same group chat as the DNC.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth put it more bluntly back in March, during CNN’s coverage of the U.S.-Israeli war against Iran: “the sooner David Ellison takes over that network, the better,” the Boston Globe noted in its close story.

The Ellison family’s connections to Republican politics stretch back years, particularly through Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison, who has become one of the technology industry’s largest GOP donors.

Ellison initially backed Marco Rubio during the 2016 Republican presidential primary before moving closer to Donald Trump after Trump secured the nomination.

In February 2020, Ellison hosted President Trump for a major reelection fundraiser at his private estate in Rancho Mirage, California. Trump’s official schedule listed the fundraiser at Ellison’s home.

Ellison subsequently poured enormous sums into Republican candidates and organizations. In 2021, he contributed $5 million to the Opportunity Matters Fund, a super PAC supporting Republican Sen. Tim Scott.

He followed that with another $15 million in January 2022, bringing his contributions to the group to $20 million at the time.

Forbes also reported that Ellison had previously given $1 million to a super PAC supporting Republican Sen. Susan Collins and $250,000 to a group supporting Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham.

Ellison’s financial support for Trump became even more significant during the 2024 election.

The Wall Street Journal reported in June 2026 that Ellison gave roughly $45 million to a political nonprofit supporting Trump’s 2024 election effort.

The Journal further reported that Ellison gave millions more to Trump-supporting organizations after the election. Because much of that money flowed through nonprofit organizations that are not subject to the same disclosure requirements as federal political committees, those contributions do not necessarily appear in traditional FEC campaign-finance records.

However, Larry’s son, David Ellison, founder of Skydance Media, donated $929,600 to the Biden Victory Fund in February 2024, according to federal campaign-finance reporting. The Washington Post identified David Ellison as one of Biden’s notable large donors during the first quarter of 2024.

But after the intense political opposition, regulatory obstacles, and legal challenges surrounding the Paramount-Warner Bros. Discovery merger, it remains to be seen how friendly David Ellison and their new media empire will be toward the Democrat establishment that fought the deal.

RedBird Capital Partners, meanwhile, was founded by former Goldman Sachs executive Gerry Cardinale and has grown into a private investment firm managing more than $15 billion across sports, media, entertainment and financial services.

Cardinale has also developed a direct relationship with the Trump administration. According to RedBird, President Trump appointed Cardinale to the White House Committee on Reforming College Athletics in 2026.

Last week, the Department of Justice (DOJ) announced that Abdi Nur Salah, of St. Paul, Minnesota, was sentenced to 33 months in prison for his role in the Feeding Our Future case, a $250 million fraud scheme that exploited a federally funded child nutrition program during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Prosecutors have described it as one of the largest fraud schemes in American history.

Much of the money went to luxury cars, jewelry, real estate, and even overseas accounts, primarily funneled through Minnesota-based nonprofit organizations tied to the local Somali community.

A total of 78 people were indicted or charged by the DOJ in connection with the scheme.

The DOJ notes that Salah was originally charged by indictment on September 13, 2022, and he pleaded guilty on January 28, 2025.

He is the 31st defendant sentenced in the Feeding Our Future fraud scheme.

According to court documents, Salah and his co-conspirators operated a non-profit Federal Child Nutrition Program meal site called Stigma-Free International, which was sponsored by Feeding Our Future.

When the Minnesota Department of Education announced it would no longer approve food sites run by restaurants and other for-profit companies, Salah then acquired a non-profit entity, Stigma-Free International, to continue to carry out the fraudulent scheme against the Federal Child Nutrition Program.

Salah then transferred ownership of Stigma-Free International to his co-conspirators, who used it to open a number of new Federal Child Nutrition Program sites throughout Minnesota.

Per the DOJ:

For 12 months from November 2020 to November 2021, Salah’s co-conspirators fraudulently claimed to have served nearly five million meals to children at the Stigma-Free International sites, including by submitting fraudulent attendance rosters and invoices. Based on the fraudulent claims, Feeding Our Future paid out over $10 million in Federal Child Nutrition Program reimbursements to the Stigma-Free International sites.

Salah additionally created and used multiple shell companies to receive and launder his share of the fraud proceeds. The defendant then used the funds for self-enrichment including purchasing homes, real estate, and businesses. In all, Salah received approximately $1,660,000 in Federal Child Nutrition Program funds.

United States Attorney Daniel N. Rosen shared, “This defendant decided to steal funds meant for vulnerable children. Today’s sentence represents my office’s unwavering commitment to holding accountable those who defraud the American taxpayers.”

“Abdi Nur Salah knew what that money was for. It was meant to feed children, and he helped turn it into his payday.”

Robert J. Kuszynski, Acting Special Agent in Charge of IRS Criminal Investigation’s Chicago Field Office, added, “Families counted on that program during a hard time, while he helped take from it.”

“You can dress a scheme up as a nonprofit, but you can’t make the money trail disappear. Our special agents followed it, and today Salah answers for where it led.”

Gregory Bovino, the retired commander-at-large of the Border Patrol who took on the Radical Left during the Battle of Minneapolis earlier this year, is heading to Michigan as part of the ‘Deport Abdul El-Sayed’ campaign with the midterm elections only weeks away.

Bovino announced on Monday that he is heading to Michigan on Oct. 17 to headline a Deportation Celebration as well as meet with law enforcement, speak with experts on human trafficking, conduct media appearances and engage the grassroots with all efforts centering on stopping the election of Abdul El-Sayed.

“Abdul Mohammed El-Sayed is the candidate of the feral mobs that I saw firsthand during the Battle of Minneapolis. If he is elected to office, El-Sayed will be the nationwide ringleader for ANTIFA terrorism, being the loudest advocate to defund the police, poisoning the political discourse with a laser focus on subverting American national greatness,” Bovino said in a video address posted on the ‘Deport Abdul El-Sayed’ Facebook page.

Similar to Barack Hussein Obama, Abdul El-Sayed is building himself up on a house of lies. His entire persona has been fabricated.

El-Sayed is a trojan horse for all of the worst policies of Islamism and communism rolled up into one,” Bovino said.

When El-Sayed was Wayne County Health Director—his only position of merit—he oversaw the Juvenile Detention Center that underwent a series of brutal rapes and sexual assaults.

El-Sayed also oversaw an animal shelter where dogs were regularly abused, tortured and murdered. El-Sayed whitewashed the crimes committed under him,” Bovino continued, comparing El-Sayed to a “sleeper cell” that will “be set off from inside of the hallowed grounds of our U.S. Senate.”

El-Sayed is going up against Trump-endorsed former Congressman Mike Rogers in the Michigan U.S. Senate primary. Bovino hopes that his appearance will mobilize voters to understand the importance of the upcoming Senate election and the consequential impact it will have on America’s future.

“I am coming to Michigan because this is ground zero for the future of our country. I look forward to galvanizing the voters, raising awareness of the urgency of the moment, and encouraging the masses to dash El-Sayed’s hopes before his foreign ideology poisons our whole nation,” he said.

Two American soldiers in Washington State showcased their heroism in an unexpected place yesterday after seeing two innocent children in danger from their own mother.

As KING 5 News reported, a 35-year-old woman was driving erratically on Interstate 5 near DuPont on Monday and caused a rollover crash.

The Washington State Patrol (WSP) revealed the woman’s Volkswagen Tiguan hit a barrier, rolled across the freeway, and smacked into a semi-truck.

The vehicle then struck another barrier and rolled again.

After crashing her car, state police say that passersby witnessed the woman stabbing her own two children, who are 9 and 15 years of age.

It was at that moment that two men in military uniforms driving on the highway from nearby Joint Base Lewis-McChord stopped, raced toward the scene, and likely saved the children’s lives in the process.

Witness Nathan Wilkinson revealed that the two soldiers wrestled the woman for the knife before forcing her to the ground.

The two soldiers then held the woman on the ground until WSP arrived to take her into custody.

“There’s people standing around, then all of a sudden there was a flash, and then the two soldiers jumped on a person. I heard a scream at that time,” Wilkinson told KING 5 News. “I saw one of the soldiers had a knife in his hand that he had dislodged from the person they tackled.”

“They didn’t run away, they didn’t pass, drive on by. They stopped and helped,” he added.

WSP said the younger child suffered broken bones and stab wounds.

The older child’s condition is unknown.

The woman was taken to the hospital and then booked into the Pierce County Jail. She is expected to be charged with the following offenses later on Tuesday: two counts of assault, vehicular assault, and two counts of reckless endangerment.

The names of the hero soldiers are not known at this time.

Zion Teasley, the man who stabbed Phoenix hiker Lauren Heike 15 times on a trail in 2023, has pleaded guilty to her murder in a deal that takes the death penalty off the table and sends him to prison for life.

Teasley, 25, killed Heike, a 29-year-old beauty technician, after stalking her on a hiking trail near her home.

Neighbors found her body at the foot of a barbed wire fence.

Police said he chased her, killed her with a pocketknife, and jumped the fence to get away.

She did not know him.

DNA on her shoes matched Teasley, who was on probation after serving a year in prison for armed robbery and other offenses. Officers arrested him days later at his home, about a mile from the trail.

Before the killing, Teasley wrote in a diary that he was “battling with my gender identity and sexuality,” and that the conflict clashed with his Christian faith, according to a roughly 400-page police report ABC15 obtained last year.

“I want to live a life of serving god, but how can I with these and other sins in the way,” he wrote. “I know I am forgiven for my sins, but it’s still a lot of pressure, and it’s hard to maintain a good Christian mindset 24/7.”

Police also noted a line in which he described being depressed by seeing “beautiful” women because he was stuck being “a man.”

When detectives first interviewed him, he denied having seen Heike anywhere but on the news, then told them, “That’s what I would want to look like.”

Investigators later said they found a photo of him in an outfit similar to the one she was wearing when she was killed.

Teasley’s boss told police he had recently been fired for being aggressive toward female employees and had stolen clothing.

His attorney referred to him as “she” in court.

Heike’s family told ABC15 they support the plea.

“After 3½ incredibly long and painful years, our family supports the State’s decision to enter into a plea agreement in Lauren’s case. This means we will not have to endure a trial or sit in a courtroom and hear every painful detail of the crime that took Lauren from us,” they said. “While no sentence will ever bring Lauren back, we are relieved knowing that he will never be released. He will never again have the opportunity to harm another person or cause another family to experience the unimaginable grief and trauma that ours has endured.”

It is currently unclear if Teasley will serve his life sentence in a male or female prison.

As reported by The Gateway Pundit last week, Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier took decisive action against Big Pharma on by filing a lawsuit against Pfizer and its CEO, Dr. Albert Bourla.

The lawsuit claims that the company falsely marketed its COVID-19 shot as safe while profiting billions, despite reports of pregnant women experiencing miscarriages, teenagers suffering from heart attacks, along with reports of other adverse events.

In light of these troubling allegations, a recent poll by American Family News found that a significant number of individuals are either aware of someone who has experienced adverse effects from the COVID-19 shot or have suffered side effects themselves.

The four-day poll, which garnered over 1,100 responses, revealed that 29 percent of respondents could not name anyone injured by the shot, while 27 percent knew a family member affected, 24 percent were aware of a friend or co-worker, and 14 percent identified a neighbor. Notably, five percent reported personal injuries from the shot, including themselves among the 71 percent of respondents who recognized someone adversely affected.

American Family News conducted an informal and unscientific four-day poll in the article, where over 1,100 readers were surveyed regarding their experiences with the COVID-19 shot. Respondents were prompted to identify anyone they knew who claimed to have suffered adverse effects from the shot and to describe their relationship to that person.

The findings reveal that a staggering 71 percent of respondents either witnessed someone suffer the consequences of the shot or fell victim to some of the harrowing effects themselves.

Despite concerns regarding the informal and unscientific aspects of the poll and its shortcomings in accurately gauging the rate of shot-related injuries, Nicolas Hulscher—an Epidemiologist and Administrator at the McCullough Foundation—stated to AFN that the results were “a massive signal of public concern that should not be brushed aside.” He emphasized that “the sheer number of people reporting these experiences is impossible to ignore.”

The Gateway Pundit spoke to Michael Nevradakis, Ph.D., is a senior reporter for The Defender at Children’s Health Defense. Echoing the selection bias issues raised by Hulscher, Dr. Nevradakis acknowledged that “five percent of respondents say they were injured by the shots, and a significant number of additional respondents say they knew someone who was injured, provides an indication as to the extent of COVID-19 vaccine injuries that have occurred and that the mainstream media has largely ignored.”

He also pointed out that these findings align with a large-scale survey conducted in Germany in late 2024, which revealed that one in six Germans reported adverse reactions following vaccination. He emphasized the alarming number of COVID-19 shot injury reports documented in the federal government’s Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS), noting that studies indicate “less than one percent of vaccine injuries historically end up getting reported to that platform.”

What’s more, Nevradakis said, “The number of people coming forward to report vaccine injuries that they or their loved ones suffered would be higher if the mainstream media and mainstream medical establishments hadn’t made it such a taboo issue.”

He noted that many affected individuals are “reluctant to speak up,” because when they do, their concerns are frequently dismissed by healthcare professionals. This reluctance is compounded by a fear among doctors of facing repercussions from superiors or licensing boards for diagnosing patients with vaccine-related injuries.

The growing concerns surrounding the COVID-19 shot and its adverse effects have sparked significant dialogue, as illustrated by the recent poll and expert testimonies. As more individuals share their experiences, it becomes increasingly crucial for healthcare professionals and media outlets to engage with these concerns transparently and honestly.

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday refused to hear former Philadelphia Judge Mark B. Cohen’s last-ditch bid to undo his suspension for turning a public Facebook page, one that identified him as a sitting judge and showed him in his robes, into a Democrat cheering section for Joe Biden, Josh Shapiro, and the party line.

The justices denied certiorari without comment. Cohen, a Democrat who spent more than four decades in the Pennsylvania House before winning a Court of Common Pleas seat in 2018, had asked the high court to rule that the First Amendment shielded dozens of partisan posts he made while on the bench. It did not.

As The Hill reported, Pennsylvania’s judicial discipline system suspended him in 2024 over posts praising Democrats, including Biden and Gov. Josh Shapiro, and pushing policies such as raising the minimum wage.

That suspension was not a close call, and it was not a surprise.

The Judicial Conduct Board charged Cohen over scores of posts on a page that advertised his status as a Family Division judge.

The record, laid out in the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s January 21, 2026, opinion and in the board’s filings, shows a longtime Democratic operative who never really left the campaign.

He called Biden an excellent president. He boosted Shapiro. He backed Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner.

He criticized Republicans, including then-House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, and took shots at the National Rifle Association.

He argued for more domestic spending and less military spending. He implicitly endorsed a congressional candidate and touted his own legislative record as a Democrat. The board called it what it was: “partisan cheerleading.”

He was warned. He kept posting. When someone on Facebook asked who was behind the complaint, Cohen answered that it was “Conservative people who want judges to be scared of their own shadow and completely silent on issues of societal improvements and social justice.”

The Court of Judicial Discipline later noted that no other case in its history involved that kind of defiance after a decision. On October 7, 2024, it suspended him without pay through the end of his term.

Pennsylvania law forced him off the bench anyway on December 31, 2024, when he hit the mandatory retirement age of 75.

Cohen appealed. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court affirmed in an opinion by Justice Kevin Dougherty. The court drew a line the U.S. Supreme Court has long recognized for judicial candidates, strict scrutiny under Republican Party of Minnesota v. White, and refused to hand the same protection to a sitting judge who was not running.

Outside a campaign, the court said, the state’s interest in an independent, impartial judiciary is weighed against the judge’s desire to speak. Here, the Commonwealth won.

“Here, we hold the Commonwealth’s interests in preserving the judiciary’s reputation for impartiality outweighed Judge Cohen’s interests, as a sitting judge who was not a candidate for judicial office, in publicly advocating for the Democratic Party on Facebook and espousing his partisan political views,” Dougherty wrote.

Cohen’s lawyers at DLA Piper told the U.S. Supreme Court its “guidance is sorely needed” and warned of a chilling effect. The Judicial Conduct Board, represented by Stanford Law School’s Supreme Court Litigation Clinic, said there is no precedent that lets a sitting judge use the office as a party microphone.

Four votes were required to take the case. Cohen did not get them. The Epoch Times noted the Court gave no explanation, which is standard on a cert denial.
