Katie Zacharia released a statement on Friday evening saying it was an “honor to work for” President Trump after her departure as White House Press Secretary earlier. 

This comes after Trump told reporters that he had asked her to reconsider accepting the job after the relentless abuse from the mainstream media following her first press briefing on Tuesday.

The attacks were even coming from within the administration, with officials trashing her to the press and reported controversy over her appointment to the role.

Zacharia told The Gateway Pundit that she had not been fired.

As The Gateway Pundit reported earlier, Trump weighed in on the media’s attacks on Zacharia over the week, telling reporters that she did not deserve to be treated so “nastily” by the hostile press, including Fox News.

Trump said Fox’s Sean Hannity and the Fox and Friends panel this morning were “tough” on her after Fox News grilled Zacharia in interviews.

Almost immediately after, Fox News reported that Zacharia had told Peter Doocy that she was “transitioning out” of her role in the press office.

Zacharia reportedly joined Vice President JD Vance and his family for dinner tonight at his residence at the Naval Observatory in Washington, DC.

Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York recently spoke to a reporter for TMZ in DC – an outlet that is obviously becoming one of her favorites – and explained that talking about Abdul El-Sayed’s alleged family ties to the Muslim Brotherhood is (drumroll please) racist.

To hear AOC explain it, Abdul El-Sayed is a victim here, because his family had some struggles when he was a little boy. Oh and also, if you examine anyone’s life hard enough, won’t you find some questionable connections? She actually tries to make this point.

For the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), this is probably the mot important race in this election cycle. They think that if they can drag El-Sayed over the finish line in Michigan, they can do it anywhere in the country. For them, this is an important test case.

During the event, a demonstration showed the car hovering off the ground, then flipping over multiple cars and a semi-truck cab.

President Trump on Friday responded to rumors that his chief of staff, Susie Wiles, is on the chopping block as leaks from around the White House suggest that he’s looking for a replacement. 

Amid reports that Wiles was sidelined in Trump’s decision to hire Katie Zacharia as Press Secretary last week, according to anonymous sources who claimed he did not consult with her, Politico reported this week that Trump is turning sour on Wiles.

According to anonymous sources in Trump world, Trump has been asking allies for their thoughts on Wiles and potential replacements for the Chief of Staff role.

An unnamed senior elected Republican official told Politico that Trump had floated White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, President of the New York Yankees Randy Levine, Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff, Federal Housing Finance Agency Director Bill Pulte, and former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy as possible successors. 

“TOTAL FAKE NEWS Politico doesn’t care about facts, integrity, or honest journalism — it’s why I kicked them out of the White House!” Trump said in response to Politico on Thursday. “Susie Wiles is my loyal and longest serving Chief of Staff – there is a reason for that. Now, the Daily Mail reports that seven insiders confirmed “three warring factions” of “Wiles loyalists, Jared Kushner allies, and the MAGA old guard” are pushing for their own choice of a replacement. Wiles allies are reportedly promoting deputy national security adviser Mike Needham, Kushner allies want Steve Witkoff or Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins, and the “MAGA old guard” are all in for Stephen Miller.

Others suggest John McEntee, who served as Director of the White House Presidential Personnel Office during Trump’s first term, is in the ring as a “wildcard.”

However, Trump dumped cold water on the rumors on Friday, telling reporters it’s a “false report that was written by Politico.” He continued, It’s fake news.”

“I could not be more happy with Susie. She’s done a great job from day one,” he added, noting that Wiles recently recovered from cancer and that she’s “fully recovered.”

“She’s been fantastic. It’s been one of the most successful administrations in the world, and she’s a part of it,” he added. “That story in Politico, I guess it was, is a total fake story. And we told them before they wrote it, so they put my disclaimer in there… But they put it in anyway because they’re fake news. That is a totally false story.”

Trump later doubled down, telling another reporter, “She’s been incredible. We’ve had maybe the most successful first two years, and it’s not even two years, in the history of the presidency. She’s been my chief of staff. She’s smart. She’s tough.”

Netflix Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria is out after 10 years, and the company is replacing her as it cuts about 1,000 jobs.

Former Disney and Fox executive Peter Rice will take the role, Variety reported Thursday. As chief content officer, Rice will lead Netflix’s global content organization, covering scripted and unscripted series, films, live events, and more.

DiscussingFilm said Bajaria was fired and that Netflix’s film chief Dan Lin is also expected to leave, subject to a final decision by Rice.

Bajaria’s departure comes in the same week Netflix laid off roughly 1,000 employees, or 6 percent of its workforce, the largest cut the streamer has made since 2022.

The Western Journal reported Wednesday that the reductions hit tech, legal, product, and human resources, according to a memo from co-CEOs Greg Peters and Ted Sarandos.

Netflix film vice president Doug Belgrad and film director Sheroum Kim were also let go in the restructuring, Variety said.

Netflix $NFLX Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria is out after 10 years at the company, replaced by former Disney and Fox executive Peter Rice.

The shake-up follows around 1,000 layoffs (6% of staff) this week and Netflix’s lowest Primetime Emmy haul since 2016, winning 16 awards in 2026 compared to 30 in 2025.

Sarandos expressed his gratitude to Bajaria in a statement.

“I want to thank Bela for a decade of dedication, innovation, creativity and leadership,” he said. “She led enormous changes at Netflix. She helped broaden our content offering to include the large-scale expansion of unscripted programming and the launches of live events and sports, in addition to crafting and running a world class, global slate of films and series.”

In a staff memo, he called it “a big change in a year that has already had its share,” and said he saw an opportunity to take the slate “to the next level,” especially in the United States and Canada.

Bajaria joined Netflix in 2016 after leaving NBCUniversal, where she had been president of Universal Television.

She first helped to launch Netflix’s unscripted division, and later became head of global TV in 2020 and chief content officer in January 2023.

Under her watch, the company had series including “Bridgerton,” “Squid Game,” “Stranger Things,” and “Wednesday,” and films such as “KPop Demon Hunters.”

She also pushed into live sports and events, including deals with the NFL and WWE.

Netflix won 16 Primetime Emmys this year, its lowest haul since 2016, down from 30 in 2025 and well below the 44 it took in 2021.

Netflix announced today that Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria is out after nearly a decade. Former Disney and Fox executive Peter Rice takes over on October 26.

This comes one day after the company laid off roughly 1,000 employees — 6% of its workforce — its biggest cuts since 2022.

Rice was ousted from Disney in 2022 by then-CEO Bob Chapek after serving as chairman of Walt Disney Television and chairman of general entertainment.

He had overseen ABC, FX, Hulu, National Geographic, and more.

Since then, he has produced films including “Saturday Night” and “28 Years Later.” Sarandos called him “one of the most effective at-scale operators in the entertainment industry.”

A heroic teacher tackled the 16-year-old gunman who killed four people, including three children, at a Bend, Oregon, elementary school on Thursday.

The 16-year-old male who opened fired at Silver Rail Elementary School in Bend, Oregon, on Thursday has been identified as John Griffin II.

John Griffin was a former student of the school, according to police.

The hero who fatally shot John Griffin has been identified as Kaylub Giamanco.

Kaylub Giamanco happened to be driving by the school when he heard shots fired. He ran into the school and fatally shot John Griffin.

The teacher tackled John Griffin as he stormed a special needs class.

A quick-thinking teacher threw her cellphone at the suspect and tackled him after he stormed the classroom, Bend Police Chief Mike Krantz said today, hailing her “heroic action.”

The teacher in the classroom also fought to take the firearm from the gunman, he said.

“She was not injured in that incident, but she almost certainly helped prevent more bloodshed,” Krantz said.

The Justice Department on Friday put California on notice and vowed to prosecute election officials who tabulate unlawful ballots.

“California on Notice: Federal agencies identified over 20,000 suspected noncitizens registered to vote in California who have already been mailed ballots,” First Assistant US Attorney Bill Essayli said on Friday.

“Under 18 U.S.C. §§ 611 and 2, officials who knowingly tabulate unlawful ballots risk aiding and abetting a federal offense. The Justice Department urges the County and the Secretary of State to temporarily segregate the flagged ballots pending citizenship verification or face legal consequences,” Bill Essayli said.

Later Friday, President Trump vowed to jail the lawbreakers: “They will all go to jail for a long period of time!!!”

On Thursday, the DOJ filed a federal lawsuit requiring California to sequester the ballots.

The Justice Department had given California exactly a 48-hour window or face emergency legal action.

That deadline has now passed. The lawsuit followed.

The federal lawsuit, filed in the Central District of California on October 15, requests an order preventing the tabulation of ballots belonging to individuals identified as likely noncitizens until their citizenship can be determined.

Under California law, registered active voters are automatically mailed ballots. That practice has become central to the DOJ’s concerns about individuals who may be improperly registered.

The Justice Department said Homeland Security Investigations and federal partners examined voter-registration records and conducted additional verification work to identify potential noncitizens.

Leftist agitators tried again to disrupt President Trump’s speech in Dalton, Georgia, on Friday and were hauled out of the building by Trump supporters. 

After the interruption, one supporter in a MAGA hat could be seen pushing a man through the crowd as other supporters joined him in escorting the agitators out. At least two protesters appeared to be surrounded by supporters, though it is unclear how many there were.

Security was seen allowing the supporters to take it into their own hands and directing them on where to take the protesters out as the crowd chanted “USA!”

President Trump then responded, slamming the “paid protesters” and the fake news media.

“And tomorrow’s story will be: ‘Oh, they had protesters!’ It’s like two paid protesters,” he said before roasting the basement-dwelling leftists.

“Their mother and father are watching, and they’re gonna smack those kids around when they get home because they both voted for Trump!”

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office is currently reviewing a criminal case against former Rep. Eric Swalwell over allegations that he drugged, raped, and choked Beverly Hills woman Lonna Drewes in 2018, but no charging decision has been made.

According to multiple reports, the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department Special Victims Bureau is still in the early stages of investigating the allegations, which were first made public in April 2026 when Drewes accused Swalwell of drugging, sexually assaulting, and choking her during a July 2018 encounter in a West Hollywood hotel room.

Swalwell resigned from Congress in April.

In August, The Daily Mail reported, FBI agents confronted Swalwell with a search warrant when he landed at San Francisco Airport on Saturday. They then took the former congressman’s electronic devices, including his cell phone, reportedly as part of a federal criminal investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct.  Per the Standard, the warrant was issued under federal statute 18 U.S.C. § 242.

Swalwell is being accused of multiple counts of sexual misconduct and assault, a lengthy prison sentence appears firmly on the table should he be convicted.

In was previously reported that the Intel Community had a classified report detailing Democrat Rep. Eric Swalwell’s intimate relationship with Fang Fang.

According to Axios, Fang Fang was a “bundler” for Eric Swalwell and other Democrat candidates but it was also reported the Chinese spy had an intimate relationship with Swalwell.

A source on Capitol Hill previously confirmed to the Federalist that Swalwell indeed had a sexual relationship with Fang Fang.
