San Francisco launched a controversial new traffic camera program through which residents with low incomes or receiving government assistance will receive substantial discounts in fines.

City authorities turned on 33 new cameras last month, according to KABC-TV in Los Angeles, yet they will not give out citations for the first two months of the program. Instead, drivers will receive warnings during that time.

Once citations do start, however, the income level of the driver will determine how much he or she will pay.

The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency revealed on its website that the fees, as mandated by state legislation, differ quite a bit based on poverty level.

For example, drivers caught going between 11 and 15 miles per hour over the speed limit will ordinarily receive $50 fees, but if they are “low-income,” they will pay $25, and if they are on “public assistance,” the fee will drop to $10.

That pattern extends into much higher fines.

The normal fee for driving between 16 and 25 miles per hour too fast is $100 for most people, but it is $50 for “low-income” and $20 for “public assistance.”

The rate for anyone going 26 miles per hour or more over the speed limit increases to $200, but it drops to $100 and $40 respectively for less privileged drivers.

Anyone going more than 100 miles per hour can expect to be fined a whopping $500, unless they happen to be “low-income” or are on “public assistance,” after which the fees once more fall to $250 and $100 respectively.

The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency even has another webpage showing residents how they can “access low-income transit fares and fee waivers.”

“SFMTA offers a number of discounts on transit fares and parking related fees for low income customers with a gross annual income,” the agency emphasized.

The rates benefit those below 200 percent of the federal poverty level.

Some critics of the program asserted that charging different fines based on income for the same offense is inherently unjust.

An opinion piece in the Staten Island Advance warned that traffic cameras have already proven unpopular in New York City, predicting that the initiative would be similarly hated in San Francisco, especially given the purported equity angle.

“If you’re caught driving too fast, you have to pay a penalty because you’ve made the roads less safe for your fellow humans,” the article noted. “The fine is supposed to sting a little bit. It’s supposed to discourage you from driving too fast in the future. Otherwise, why bother?”

“But how does that square with letting some people largely off the hook for their offenses?

“It doesn’t. In fact, it might encourage some people to keep speeding,” the article added. “And it shows that only some of us, people of means, are responsible for safer roads.”

“As if people with middle class incomes don’t already pay their fair share, and more, to the government in the form of an entire constellation of taxes and fees,” the outlet observed.

The UK’s Women’s Pool Championship is so woke, it woke any representation by actual women right out of the finals.

Both finalists, Harriet Haynes and Lucy Smith, are biological males who “identify” as women.

Outkick reports:

Haynes finished the 2024 season as the top-ranked women’s player in the Ultimate Pool Pro Series and appears on the way to defending that title in 2025. Haynes also finished as the top-ranked player in 2022 and finished second in 2023. Lucy Smith finished sixth in 2024 and fifth in 2023.

The winner of the event receives 1,800 pounds (about $2,320) and second place gets 900 pounds (about $1,160), according to the Ultimate Pool website. The rest of the top finishers (they pay a total of 16 places) receive 2,700 pounds COMBINED. That means that Haynes and Smith will receive as much money as the 14 women they defeated.

While biological men might not appear to have an obvious physical advantage over women, as seen in track and field, tennis, and other sports, one X user noted, the men are “taller, longer reach, fingers bigger for a bridge when balls are close together, the need for a frame to take a shot isn’t as stable for women as a man who doesn’t need it – the men can do it without.”

There is a real chance of two men playing in the final of the women’s Ultimate Pool tournament at 8-45 tonight.

Senate Majority Leader John Thune and other establishment Republicans are lobbying President Trump to endorse Senator John Cornyn over Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.

According to a report from CNN, Republican leaders are becoming “anxious” about the prospect of Paxton launching a successful primary challenge against Cornyn.

Cornyn has long been unpopular within MAGA circles for his closeness to former Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and opposition to parts of Trump’s policia agenda.

The report explains:

Republicans are growing anxious about an emerging Texas primary engulfing one of their longest-serving senators, fearful that a hugely expensive intraparty feud will have major ramifications across the map in next year’s midterms. And they want President Donald Trump to stop it.

Behind the scenes, Senate GOP leaders have personally asked Trump to back Sen. John Cornyn, who has occupied his seat for more than two decades and narrowly lost his bid to become Senate majority leader last fall.

All that has added up to one overriding fear: that a Texas Senate GOP primary could end up costing their party at least $100 million, siphoning money from other critical battlegrounds, according to several Senate GOP sources.

Plus, they worry that a wounded GOP nominee could end up giving Democrats a chance in what would otherwise be a long-shot pickup opportunity as former Rep. Colin Allred weighs another Senate run.

Thune, meanwhile, is making no secret of the fact he plans to rally behind Cornyn.

“I’m hoping that in the end, he can,” Thune said when asked about the prospect of Trump endorsing Cornyn.

“Obviously we’re supporting Sen. Cornyn. He’s done a great job for Texas and for the country. And we need him back.”

A recent poll found that Paxton is leading Cornyn by 53 percent to 28 percent in a hypothetical match-up, with the gap widening further in the case of an informed ballot.

The two men shared a deep hatred for one another after Cornyn backed efforts by Democrats and establishment Republicans to impeach Paxton over trumped-up securities fraud charges.

Paxton has not yet confirmed his candidacy, although his public statements indicate he has every intention of running.

Speaking at a Turning Point USA event last December, Paxton was asked by a member of the audience whether he would throw his hat in the ring.

“How about if I say this? Not yet,” he answered. “I am praying about it. We are looking at that.”

After leading candidate for next French Presidential election Marine Le Pen was convicted of ‘embezzling public funds’ and banned from running for office, she stood defiant today before a crowd that was tens of thousands strong.

She stated that she had fought against injustice for 30 years, and will not back down now.

“Thousands of supporters gathered at Place Vauban, near the golden dome of Les Invalides and the tomb of Napoleon, for what was billed as a protest — but observers said it had all the markings of a campaign rally.

The National Rally, Le Pen’s party, organized the event in response to what it calls a politically motivated verdict. But with chants of “Marine Présidente!” and “They won’t steal 2027 from us,” the message was clear: this was more than a protest. It was a show of populist defiance aimed squarely at France’s institutions.”

Representative Andy Biggs (R-AZ) has filed a resolution to remove U.S. District Court Judge James E. Boasberg for failing to uphold the Constitution’s “good behavior” clause—without requiring the traditional two-thirds Senate vote.

The resolution, submitted in the House of Representatives, alleges Judge Boasberg—currently Chief Judge of the powerful United States District Court for the District of Columbia—knowingly abused his position to interfere with the constitutional authority of President Donald Trump.

The resolution declares Judge Boasberg’s conduct a breach of constitutional order, particularly his unlawful meddling in President Trump’s lawful directive to deport members of Venezuela’s notorious Tren de Aragua gang under the Alien Enemies Act.

On March 15, 2025, Trump issued a proclamation invoking the 1798 law to expel these violent foreign operatives, citing threats to public safety and national security.

Instead of supporting the executive branch’s effort to secure the homeland, Boasberg allegedly stepped in to block the deportations—effectively undermining a sitting president’s constitutional authority to defend America from foreign enemies.

The article of removal also raises grave concerns about Boasberg’s prior conduct as a FISA court judge, suggesting that he misused his discretion and failed to disclose payments from outside sources. These actions, Biggs asserts, further prove Boasberg is unfit to serve on the bench.

“James E. Boasberg knowingly extended beyond the bounds of power of his office and unjustly interfered in the execution of foreign policy and national security for partisan purposes of halting the implementation of the President’s foreign policy and for political gain,” according to the resolution.

Furthermore, James E. Boasberg has failed to disclose payments received from non-federal source and abused his discretion during his term on the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court.”

Now, Rep. Biggs seeks to bypass the cumbersome impeachment process—typically requiring a two-thirds Senate vote—by invoking Congress’s inherent authority under Article III, Section 1 of the Constitution.

It’s a direct shot across the bow at activist judges who think they can trample the will of the American people and the duly-elected President, Donald Trump.

According to the press release:

Congressman Andy Biggs (R-AZ) introduced a resolution to remove James Boasberg, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, for failure to maintain the standard of good behavior required by the U.S. Constitution.

Article III, Section 1 of the Constitution gives Congress the authority to establish all federal courts inferior to the U.S. Supreme Court, and establishes that judges may only hold their positions during good behavior. This provision is separate and distinct from Congress’s authority to impeach civil officers for “Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.”

As detailed in the resolution, Judge James Boasberg knowingly and unjustly interfered with President Trump’s execution of foreign policy and targeted President Trump for partisan purposes and political gain. Under the Good Behavior Clause, Boasberg’s actions constitute misbehavior and subject him to removal from office.

“We cannot stand by while activist judges who incorrectly believe they have more authority than the duly-elected President of the United States, impose their own political agenda on the American people,” said Congressman Biggs.

“I have cosponsored resolutions to impeach Judge Boasberg. His removal from office via impeachment, however, will undoubtedly be blocked by Democrats in the Senate, since it requires a two-thirds majority. My resolution, on the other hand, asserts, pursuant to Article III, Section 1, that rogue judges may be removed the same way we confirm them—by a simple majority.

“Judge Boasberg abused his judicial authority for political gain and is not in compliance with the constitutional Good Behavior Clause. He must not be permitted to remain in his position. Congress has a duty to fulfill the promises we’ve made to the American people, including defending the President’s authority to enforce our laws.”

Reportedly, new Assistant Director In Charge at the FBI’s Washington Field Office

On Friday, The Gateway Pundit posted an article about a claim made in an article by The New York Times regarding the appointment of former Section Chief of Domestic Terrorism Operations Section (DTOS) as the Assistant Director in Charge of the Washington Field Office (WFO).

Initially, we called the move “head-scratching” because of Jensen’s involvement, not just in the January 6th prosecutions, but as the DTOS Chief, all of the investigations that ensued under the guise of “domestic terrorism” under the Biden Administration.

The morning following the publication, The Gateway Pundit shared the story with a high-level source who replied, “Fake News.”  This source would absolutely have knowledge of the appointment.

In addition to our source, there was no formal announcement from anyone affiliated with the FBI or the WFO regarding the new ADIC, including a phone call placed to the WFO in which they would not answer but rather transfered us to a switchboard for reporting crimes.  For this reason, we determined that this was likely, as our source had stated, “Fake News.”

 

Later, we were sent emails purporting to announce internally at the WFO the appointment of Jensen.  The email was dated March 28th and claimed that he was to assume the position the following Monday, which would have been March 31st.

While the email was authentic, the lack of acknowledgment of the appointment by anyone inside the FBI and still no update on the WFO’s website regarding a new ADIC, we were still confident in our source’s assertion of “Fake News.”

We continued to investigate this story, including the call to the WFO to ask who the ADIC was, a simple question anyone affiliated with that office should be capable of answering.  We also reviewed the internal WFO announcement email provided.

Again, after a full week submerged in the office, there was no official announcements or even updates to websites that acknowledged Jensen as the ADIC.

In fact, the Washington Field Office, as of this writing, still has not updated their website.  The “Assistant Director in Charge” is still blank a full week after he assumed the position.

That is not very transparent.

However, this morning, a post on X that was shared by FBI Director Kash Patel’s official FBI X profile all but confirms that Jensen is the ADIC at the WFO.  It is not an official announcement, but the repost from Director Patel seems to confirm its veracity.  It is always the intention of The Gateway Pundit to bring the most accurate reporting possible, and this includes being able to issue corrections or retractions when we are incorrect on a story.

The appointment is no less concerning. 

As mentioned, as DTOS Section Chief, Jensen oversaw the domestic terrorism surge under the Biden administration following the January 6 protests at the Capitol and the infamous National School Board Association letter that prompted the DOJ and FBI to put out a correlating letter and led to the alleged targeting and investigations into Moms for Liberty, a grassroots organization that was fighting against LGBTQ+ agenda in public schools.

In testimony before the Weaponization Committee, George Hill, a former Supervisory Intelligence Analyst, testified regarding the domestic terrorist infatuation at the Bureau from January 6th.

Hill testified that he was “aware of instances where agents were encouraged to tag cases” as “DVE,” or Domestic Violent Extremists.  When asked, “Do you mean tag as DVE even though there was insufficient reason in your view to do so?” Hill responded, “Oh, yeah.  Yes.”

He was asked to cite some examples that he is aware of.  According to Hill:

“So probably the most egregious and one of the things that pushed me over the edge was a tirade by Steve Jensen, who was at the time a section chief with the Domestic Terrorism Section.

And on these phone calls that took place beginning on January 7th [2021] — it took place twice daily for a couple of weeks and then went to daily and then eventually went to weekly.  But these calls took place over all 56 fusion centers, so — and anybody could dial into that number.

After clarifying that the top of the calls was January 6th, Hill continued:

“So there were three individuals that Philadelphia was pushing back on wanting to open up a case on.  And they had done their due diligence

But the Philadelphia office said, well, there’s no evidence of any kind of, you know, violent leanings or insurrectionist leanings, to which Steve Jensen said, you know, I don’t give a blank, they’re goddamn terrorists and we’re gonna round them all up.

…So, essentially, they were case managing with people who were not FBI, from Seattle to Miami, from San Diego to Bangor, with this narrative.”

That is a giant middle finger to Americans. Jensen led the twice-daily nationwide conference calls where he breathlessly exclaimed the country was under attack by J6ers. He was central to the “our democracy is under attack” narrative.

The calls that Hill was referring to potentially had thousands of people on the calls from all 56 of the fusion centers throughout the country, including major hubs like California and New York.  Participants on the call were muted unless unmuted by the leadership of the call, including Steve Jensen and Timothy Thibault, who was permitted to retire early from the FBI in August 2022 amidst allegations of political bias and misconduct.

Hill stated, “In the instance of the Philadelphia office…when Steve Jensen was essentially telling them, “You’re going to open up these three individual cases,” they could decide if they were going to unmute your microphone,” which would allow the control of any pushback against the de facto order given the findings of “no violent leanings or insurrectionist leanings.”

Timothy Thibault was said to be “the warm-up act” on the calls.  “I would characterize Mr. Thibault’s tone, sometimes bordering on hysterical.  He’s speaking to thousands of people, using the bullhorn that is the FBI and its reputation, to drive the narrative that our democracy almost ended on January 6th.”

Hill continued, “Which would then lead into:  We’re working with these people, we’re working with Silicon Valley, we’re working with other law enforcement partners, we’re looking at maybe past foreign influence…”

Former Congressman Matt Gaetz asked if Hill had ever observed that tone before on one of these types of calls.  “No, never, [on] any kind of call,” he responded.  “It’s just not what an intelligence or law enforcement professional does.”

Later in the testimony, Hill clarified the Philadelphia incident:

“Philadelphia was set a lead from WFO on three individuals, and the expectation was — is that they were going to open up cases on those individuals.

And Jensen took it upon himself to ask on a conference call with maybe hundreds, maybe more, of individuals there, you know, “Where are we on this?” to which Philadelphia responded…”Yeah…they have some things on their social media posts that may be…pro-2A or…they’re anti-abortion, whatever, but that doesn’t mean that they’re insurrectionists seeking to overturn our democracy,” to which Jensen said, “I don’t give a blank.  They’re all bleeping terrorists, and we’re going to round them all up.”

Hill also received an email on October 2nd regarding a letter from the National School Board Association addressed to Joe Biden.  This letter prompted the DOJ to “take action” involving the outlined “threats” to schools.

“So I got an email…I believe it was from Steve Jensen….informing me of a communication that –sent forward from him from DOJ where there was a discussion on wanting to put out some messaging and engage on this letter.”

He received the referenced email over the weekend and, within three days from receiving it, the DOJ responded and Jensen was calling for agents to “engage more in this.”

The NSBA apologized for the optics of the memo in calling for investigations into school board attendees after claims erupted that this would “chill” free speech, however, the Department of Justice memo was not rescinded under the tenure of Attorney General Merrick Garland.

A RINO Congressman announced on Sunday that he would be moving to undercut President Trump’s bold move to reshape the global economic order with reciprocal tariffs on countries that have taken advantage of America for years.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported that President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday the implementation of a 10% baseline tariff on all imports, effective April 5, 2025. On April 9, the worst offenders will be hit with even tougher measures.

Speaking from the White House Rose Garden, Trump proclaimed April 2 as “Liberation Day,” marking a new era of economic independence. He emphasized that this measure is essential to protect American jobs and revitalize domestic manufacturing.

The White House also released a detailed chart showing how badly many countries have been ripping off American workers, charging high tariffs on U.S. goods while benefiting from America’s generosity in return.

Rep. Don Bacon (RINO-NE) told far-left CBS anchor Margaret Brennan that he would introduce a bill to halt Trump’s tariff agenda. The bill will be modeled after legislation introduced last week by Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and far-left Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA).

As The Gateway Pundit reported,, The Grassley-Cantwell bill requires the president to notify Congress within 48 hours of imposing new tariffs. The president must also present a detailed rationale and analysis of the potential consequences for American businesses and consumers.

Moreover, the Senate legislation will require Congress to approve ALL tariffs within 60 days, or they will automatically expire. Even duties imposed on China, America’s most significant geopolitical adversary, would need congressional approval.

“I support the legislation that Senator Grassley and Senator Cantwell (introduced),” Bacon told Brennan. “I have some support on the House bill, which we will unveil tomorrow.”

Bacon admitted that his task to get the bill through the House would face a steeper challenge, particularly since House Speaker Mike Johnson is standing with Trump on tariffs for now and has vowed to block legislation undermining tariff authority from reaching the floor.

But Bacon is betting that the tariffs will continue to send the markets spiraling while inflation and unemployment possibly rise. Should this occur, Bacon thinks his bill will become “very viable.”

“It will be harder to pass this in the House, no doubt,” he stated. “But if we get 60 votes in the Senate, it will put pressure on the House to look at this (bill).”

“If we continue to see the stock market go a certain direction or if we see inflation or unemployment shift in a bad way, this becomes a very viable bill,” he added. It will not pass tomorrow…But this will be in the queue we can use.”
