Senator Markwayne Mullin on “Fox News Sunday” 4/6/25

Senator Markwayne Mullin was on “Fox News Sunday” with host Shannon Bream to discuss the long-term benefits of President Trump’s tariffs.

“Do you agree he owns what’s happening now?” Bream asked regarding the Wall Street Journal’s comments on President Trump’s tariffs and their impact on the economy.

“This isn’t a trade war. This is balancing our economy with countries that have taken advantage of us,” Mullin said.

“What’s happened is we have lost manufacturing jobs where because of our unfair trade deals, that have left America, went to other countries, building their products, and turning it back around and selling it to our economy,” Mullin said.

“The problem is it is costing us manufacturing jobs,” Mullin continued.

“We know the trade deficits have spread. They have only got worse year after year after year, and at some point, someone had to do something about it and President Trump is finally doing that,” Mullin said.

Bream commented that the tariffs have affected the value of people’s investments, including 401ks and the markets.

“The reality is it has rattled the markets. It is affecting people’s 401ks. Millions of Americans have those,” Bream said.

Bream showed footage of Senator Rand Paul discussing the downside of tariffs politically and explained that in the past it resulted in the loss of seats in the House and Senate in the late 1890s and early 1930s.

Senator Mullin said that he trusted President Trump’s policies, especially since he has a lot of experience in the business world prior to being President.

“You have a President in the White House who is a businessperson, not a career politician. I would trust President Trump in his handling of the economy way before I would trust Senator Paul on this,” Mullin continued.

“What the President is saying here is he’s not wanting to start a trade war. He’s simply wanting to even the playing field,” Mullin said.

“President Trump has been talking about this since literally the 80s, way before he was even considering running for President,” Mullin continued.

According to Campus Reform, New York University’s Center on Race Inequality & the Law offers a page with advice on protesting that calls on White Americans to “[u]se white privilege to protect others.”

The “Protest Tips and Resources” page offers a list of “Best Practices for Protesting Safely,” alleging that protesting can be dangerous, “especially for Black and Brown people.”

These “tips” are absurd and divisive. NYU is proving once again to be a bastion of liberalism. This advice risks further dividing the student population along racial lines.

Protesters are also told to assume they were exposed to COVID and, as a result, isolate themselves for two weeks as if that’s a normal thing to do.

Yet again, the libs at NYU are showing their true colors and spewing nonsense and anti-White racism. This seems par for the course at many mainstream universities which were supposed to have gotten rid of DEI.

Sadly, anti-White racism is rampant in academia.

Campus Reform cited an example of The University of California hosting an event in January exploring White Privilege through the medium of “performative lecture” featuring music.

Northwestern University is another example with offering including topics such as “the regime of White Democracy” a class in “unsettling Whiteness” as well as how “Whiteness” can appear under the heading of White Supremacy, White privilege and White authority.”

The common thread through all this is blatant stereotyping and racism towards White people. This ideology festers in academia, which views the world through the lens of oppressed and oppressor, with White people always cast as the oppressor.

In the real world, this is a false dichotomy as many times throughout history this has not held true. Whether in modern South Africa or throughout the modern Islamic world in terms of persecution of Jews and Christians.

Evil comes in all colors, and it behooves Universities like NYU to end the anti-White and Anti-Western indoctrination.

Much of the hatred towards the Republican party, MAGA movement and President Trump comes from racial hatred directed at White Americans. Although MAGA is a diverse coalition and President Trump brought many Hispanics and other minorities into this coalition, nevertheless the left sees all in terms of race.

MAGA is cast as the oppressor by the cultural Marxist left.

The reality is very different, President Trump and this movement of patriots just want to Make America Great Again for all Americans while the left seeks to divide and conquer.

The United States has announced the revocation of ALL visas for one nation that is refusing to accept the repatriation of its citizens.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced the decision to revoke all visas held by South Sudanese passport holders.  This action reflects the Trump administration’s focus on strengthening immigration enforcement, aligning with its broader policy of holding countries accountable for cooperating with the repatriation of their nationals.

In a statement titled ‘Defending America’s Security through Visa and Travel Restrictions on South Sudan,’ Rubio said,
“It is time for the Transitional Government of South Sudan to stop taking advantage of the United States.”

“Enforcing our nation’s immigration laws is critically important to the national security and public safety of the United States. Every country must accept the return of its citizens in a timely manner when another country, including the United States, seeks to remove them.”

“As South Sudan’s transitional government has failed to fully respect this principle, effective immediately, the United States Department of State is taking actions to revoke all visas held by South Sudanese passport holders and prevent further issuance to prevent entry into the United States by South Sudanese passport holders. We will be prepared to review these actions when South Sudan is in full cooperation.”

Rubio shared on X, “I am taking actions to revoke all visas held by South Sudanese passport holders and to restrict any further issuance to prevent entry into the United States, effective immediately, due to the failure of South Sudan’s transitional government to accept the return of its repatriated citizens in a timely manner.”

Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau added, “Let there be no mistake: the Administration of @POTUS @realDonaldTrump is committed to robust enforcement of our Nation’s immigration laws, and expects all other countries to accept repatriation of their own nationals.”

“The Government of South Sudan has violated this obligation by refusing to accept one of their nationals certified by their own Embassy in Washington and repatriated to their country. Our efforts to engage diplomatically with the South Sudanese Government have been rebuffed.”

Far-left “Face the Nation” Host Margaret Brennan, who infamously became a meme in January after getting humiliated by Vice-President JD Vance, face-planted once again on Sunday after trying to mock the Trump Administration on international trade.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday the implementation of a 10% baseline tariff on all imports, effective April 5, 2025. The worst offenders will be hit with even tougher measures on April 9.

Speaking from the White House Rose Garden, President Trump proclaimed April 2 as “Liberation Day,” marking a new era of economic independence. He emphasized that this measure is essential to protect American jobs and revitalize domestic manufacturing.

The White House also released a detailed chart showing how badly many countries have been ripping off American workers, charging high tariffs on U.S. goods while benefiting from America’s generosity in return.

Brennan brought on Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick to supposedly discuss his thoughts on the tariffs, mainly how they calculated how much each country would face in reciprocal tariffs. But she instead tried to embarrass him with an asinine accusation instead.

“When we saw the President in the Rose Garden holding up that chart you helped make, that wasn’t actually tariffs,” she said. “That was actually confusing to investors because it was some kind of formula, and the countries themselves seemed kind of random.”

“Why are the Heard Island and McDonald Islands, which don’t export to the United States…Why do they face a 10% tariff? Did you use AI to generate this?” She asked.

Artificial intelligence? Does she seriously think an administration full of incredibly successful businessmen like Trump and Lutnick is that careless?

Lutnick laughed off Brennan’s silly remark and gave her a valuable economic lesson.

“No!” Lutnick said. “The idea is…If you leave anything off the list, the countries that try to basically arbitrage America go through those countries to us.”

“The president put tariffs on China in 2018, and what China started doing is they started going through other countries to America,” he added. “They just (passed products) through other countries to America.”

Lutnick added that Trump was fed up with this loophole and knew exactly what must be done to solve the cheating.

“So, the president knows that; he’s tired of it, and so he’s going to fix that. “He basically said, ‘Look, I can’t let any part of the world be a place where China and other countries can ship through them.’”

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on Sunday rejected growing concerns of a recession and defended the Trump administration’s tariff policies. 

During an appearance on NBC’s Meet the Press, Bessent said there was “no reason” to expect a recession and that the new policies would ultimately strengthen the American economy. “What we are looking at is building the long-term economic fundamentals for prosperity.”

Last week, President Donald Trump announced sweeping tariffs on U.S. trade partners, prompting JP Morgan to forecast a recession this year. Trump made the announcement on Wednesday, and stock market selloffs Thursday and Friday wiped out more than $6 trillion in value in the worst two-day crash since the Covid pandemic.

Addressing turmoil in the markets, Bessent said, “we get these short-term market reactions from time to time.” On X, Bessent posted a clip from the interview and wrote, “President Trump’s plan will reindustrialize the United States, revitalize the private sector and raise wages for hardworking Americans.”

On Saturday, conservative journalist and warrior for justice Julie Kelly uncovered a bombshell in the transcript from Thursday’s hearing in a radical District judge’s courtroom regarding whether the Trump Administration has the authority under the Alien Enemies Act to deport violent illegal aliens.

As Jim Hoft previously reported, Judge James Boasberg, who is running a coup-d-etat of the executive branch, is considering holding Trump officials in contempt for not turning planes around mid-flight and returning over one hundred killers, gangsters, r*pists, and other criminal illegals back to the US.

Judge Boasberg, an Obama appointee, implemented a temporary restraining order (TRO) on Trump’s invocation of the Alien Enemies Act to deport criminal aliens last month, calling it, “incredibly troublesome and problematic.” He then extended his block last week, arguing the plaintiffs suing the Trump administration need more time to file motions and prepare arguments.

Kelly predicted back in March that Boasberg was attempting to set a contempt trap for Trump officials. Now, she has proof that Boasberg slyly positioned himself to get assigned to this immigration case so he could implement his sinister scheme.

“I have just received the (purchased) transcript from Thursday’s hearing before Judge Boasberg,” Kelly wrote on X. “Lots of good stuff, especially as I develop a fuller timeline of what went down behind the scenes on March 15.”

Then Kelly pointed out something incredibly damning.

“This really caught my eye,” she noted. “Remember the whole “THESE CASES ARE RANDOMLY ASSIGNED” bit by Boasberg and others?”

“No one really believes this…right?” Kelly added. “Also, during the start of the 5 p.m. Zoom hearing on March 15, Boasberg apologized for his casual dress, saying he had gone “away” for the weekend and did not bring a tie or his robe.”

“He knew this case was coming. He wanted this case,” Kelly wrote. “He wanted to stop the deportations and most importantly–he wanted to set a contempt trap for the Trump administration.”

As PJ Media notes, Boasberg’s true goal was usurping control over Trump’s legal authority on the matter of immigration and foreign policy. Boasberg was furious that the Trump administration decided to enforce the Alien Enemies Act to carry out deportations of illegal alien r*pists, murders, and gang members without his consent.

“This is not judicial restraint or a careful balance of powers,” Kelly said. “This is Boasberg giving away the notion that the executive branch should WAIT FOR APPROVAL from the judicial branch before taking action on matters clearly under the purview of the presidency, including foreign policy and diplomacy.”

“Boasberg knew throughout the day that ICE was rounding up the TdA gang bangers covered by the proclamation,” she added. “So he rushed not only to convert the initial lawsuit into a class but entered a second temporary restraining order prohibiting their removal and absurdly demanding the return of planes carrying the illegals.”

Kelly also uncovered a particularly troubling exchange involving Boasberg and one of DOJ’s lawyers. The ‘judge’ demanded answers from a DOJ attorney regarding which Trump officials were listening to his 5 p.m. hearing as if that is any of his business.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported Boasberg has so far been assigned to FOUR cases concerning the Trump Administration.

Federal district courts usually assign cases to judges through a random selection process to ensure impartiality and prevent “judge shopping,” where litigants might attempt to have their cases heard by a particular judge perceived as favorable. According to the Federal Bar Association, this practice is designed to uphold the integrity and fairness of the judicial system.

Now, we all know he has been scheming to position himself on one case. It’s likely he has done so for the other three as well.

Peter Navarro on “Sunday Morning Futures” discusses tariffs. 4/6/25

Peter Navarro was on “Sunday Morning Futures” with guest host Jackie DeAngelis on Sunday to talk about the benefits of President Trump’s tariffs.

“Let’s talk about the markets, the uncertainty out there, and the volatility. Do you expect it to continue?” DeAngelis asked.

“First rule, particularly for the smaller investors out there, you can’t lose money unless you sell. Right now, the smart strategy is not to panic, just stay in because we are gonna have the biggest boom in the stock market we have ever seen under the Trump policies,” Navarro said.

DeAngelis also discussed with Navarro about President Trump’s overall plans being pro-business and pro-consumer regarding tariffs, deregulation, tax cuts and spending cuts.

“At the end of the day, all of these things combined are very pro-business, they are very pro-consumer, and they are pro-growth,” DeAngelis said.

“Every economic report that’s been coming out in the last month has been pushing us towards expansion and strength,” Navarro said.

“There is cognitive dissonance between what the media saying wanting to push us into recession and what is actually happening,” Navarro said.

“Oil prices were a dollar higher during the Biden years for a commuting working family; that is about a thousand dollars’ worth of gas in prices they had to pay,” Navarro said.

Navarro also explained that tariffs will bring in revenue to help reduce debt and pay for tax cuts.

“These tariff revenues, by the way, Jackie, 600, 700 billion dollars are gonna raise a year. 6 to 7 trillion over the 10-year period. They are gonna help pay for the tax cuts,” Navarro said.

“Every single dollar that comes in tariff revenues that we take from the foreigners who have been cheating us, are gonna go right to the American public in terms of tax cuts and debt reduction,” Navarro continued.

Navarro also explained that trade deficits over many years have affected the United States economy.

“We’ve given away our houses, our office buildings, our food supply, our farmland. That’s got to stop. It’s threatening our economic prosperity, national security. The reality here, the reality here is that institutionally, the international trade system is designed to cheat us,” Navarro warned.

“Far more importantly, it’s the non-tariff cheating. It’s the VAT taxes, it’s the currency manipulation, the dumping, the export subsidies,” Navarro continued.

Radical Obama judge Paula Xinis on Sunday denied the Trump Administration’s request to lift her order demanding the return of alleged El Salvadoran MS-13 gang member Kilmar Abrego to the United States.

The judge said the Trump Admin’s “grievous error” to deport the Abrego “shocks the conscience.”

The 4th Circuit Court of Appeals ordered a response from the attorneys for the deported El Salvadoran by Sunday afternoon.

On Friday US District Judge of the US District Court for the District of Maryland, Paula Xinis ordered the Trump Administration to return an alleged MS-13 gang member to the United States after he was deported to El Salvador’s notorious CECOT prison.

Judge Xinis ordered the Salvadoran gang member to be returned by Monday at midnight.

“This was an illegal act,” Judge Paula Xinis told a Justice Department lawyer, according to Politico. “Congress said you can’t do it, and you did it anyway.”

The Trump Administration maintains Kilmar Abrego is a dangerous MS-13 gang member who was involved in human trafficking.

The DOJ immigration lawyer, Erez Reuveni, repeatedly apologized to the judge during Friday’s hearing and apologized for the Trump Administration’s actions.

On Saturday, the DOJ lawyer was put on leave and Pam Bondi made it clear this behavior won’t be tolerated.

“At my direction, every Department of Justice attorney is required to zealously advocate on behalf of the United States. Any attorney who fails to abide by this direction will face consequences,” US Attorney General Pam Bondi said.

AG Pam Bondi was on “Fox News Sunday” with host Shannon Bream to discuss a variety of topics including the numerous lawsuits against President Trump’s America First Agenda.

“The President is going to comply with the law. He was overwhelmingly elected by an overwhelming majority of the United States citizens to be our Commander-in-Chief,” Bondi said.

“Just since January 20th, we’ve had over 170 lawsuits filed against us. That should be the Constitutional crisis right there,” Bondi continued.

AG Bondi explained that the Supreme Court decision regarding DEI was a big win for President Trump.

“This particular one though was very important because the court said that President Trump can control where our tax dollars go and what they are allocated for, and we do not have to spend them on DEI,” Bondi continued.

AG Bondi also defended the actions of deporting suspected MS-13 gang member Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

“ICE has testified. Members of ICE that he is an MS-13 gang member,” Bondi said.

“We have to rely on what ICE says. We have to rely on what Homeland Security says. They are our clients,” Bondi continued.

AG Bondi also said that the DOJ is seeking the death penalty for Luigi Mangione, who is charged with the murder of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson.

“The President’s directive was very clear. We are to seek the death penalty when possible,” Bondi said.

“If there was ever a death case, this is one. This guy is charged with hunting down a CEO, a father of two, a married man, hunting him down, and executing him. Ya, I feel like these young people have lost their way. I was receiving death threats for seeking the death penalty on someone who is charged with an execution of a CEO,” Bondi said.
