JUST IN: Kristi Noem Issues Stern Warning as Trump Admin. Launches Landmark Investigation into California Providing Federal Benefits to Illegal Aliens

Kristi Noem

California Governor Gavin Newsom and his fellow Democrat cronies are in hot water with Team Trump for openly flouting immigration law, and DHS Secretary Kristi Noem has a brutal message for those illegal aliens and states who continue to break the law.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced Monday morning in a press release that the Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Los Angeles Field Office issued a Title 8 subpoena to the State of California’s Cash Assistance Program for Immigrants (CAPI). California Democrats have utilized this program for years to provide benefits to migrants ineligible for Social Security benefits due to their immigration status.

The DHS is demanding all records from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Social Services to ascertain whether illegals received Supplemental Security Income (SSI) from the Social Security Administration. The subpoena covers the years since 2021.

Per the press release, HSI Los Angeles has subpoenaed the following records:

• Applicant’s Name and Date of Birth

• Copies of Applications

• Immigration Status

• Proof of Ineligibility for SSI from the Social Security Administration

• Affidavits in Support of the Application

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem released a statement warning that this action from the administration was only the beginning against lawless states, and illegals should get out while they still can:

Radical left politicians in California prioritize illegal aliens over our own citizens, including by giving illegal aliens access to cash benefits. The Trump Administration is working together to identify abuse and exploitation of public benefits and make sure those in this country illegally are not receiving federal benefits or other financial incentives to stay illegally.

If you are an illegal immigrant, you should leave now. The gravy train is over. While this subpoena focuses only on Los Angeles County – it is just the beginning.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, President Trump signed an executive order last month to ban illegal aliens from obtaining Social Security benefits.

The memorandum orders the Secretary of Homeland Security in consultation with other departments to not only ensure that ineligible illegals do not receive funds from Social Security programs but also greenlight civil or criminal enforcement against states or localities for potential violations.

California is now the first of hopefully many other Democrat-run states to pay the price for breaking the law. Now, will we see arrests as well?

Under Pressure From Surging Reform UK, PM Starmer Vows To Cut Immigration, Warns Britain Becoming ‘An Island of Strangers’

Starmer says he will do the obvious – severely limit unchecked mass migration. But will he?

While failing Prime Minister Keir Starmer travels around Europe with the merry band of globalists (France’s Macron, Germany’s Merz and Poland’s Tusk) to offer yet again political support for Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelensky, back home things are going from bad to worse.

Trailing in the polls after the upsurging Reform UK party, and under severe pressure even inside his Labour party, Starmer decided today to announce cuts to immigration numbers and policy changes to make it harder to settle in the UK.

Starmer faces backlash from voters because of the insane levels of immigration wreaking chaos in public services and fraying the social fabric of UK society.

Associated Press reported:

“Starmer said he would end ‘Britain’s failed experiment in open borders’, less than two weeks after Reform UK, the hard-right party led by Nigel Farage, scored big victories in local elections. Labour and the center-right Conservatives, long the dominant parties in British politics, both saw their support crater in the contests for local government councils and mayors.

‘Every area of the immigration system — work, family, and study — will be tightened up so we have more control’, Starmer said during a speech in Downing Street. ‘We will create a system that is controlled, selective and fair’.”

Pro-Palestine immigrants face the police.

Out-of-control immigration became a big factor in Britain’s ‘Brexit’ vote to leave the bloc.

But net migration in fact quadrupled after the UK left the Union, and it has taken the society to the brink.

“In recent years, concerns that the government has lost control of Britain’s borders have been fueled by the sight of thousands of migrants entering the U.K. on leaky, inflatable boats operated by people smugglers. Some 37,000 people crossed the English Channel on small boats last year, down from 45,755 in 2022, government statistics show.”

Starmer’s popularity has collapsed since he took on the Premiership.

The Telegraph reported:

“Launching his long-awaited white paper in Downing Street, the Prime Minister said Labour would ‘take back control of our borders’ with measures that would aim to tighten every area of the immigration system, including work, family and study.”

Starmer promises that immigrations will fall, but has not set a number.

“However, he added: ‘Let me put it this way, nations depend on rules, fair rules. […] They give shape to our values, guide us towards our rights, of course, but also our responsibilities, the obligations we owe to each other. In a diverse nation like ours we risk becoming an island of strangers, not a nation that walks forward together’.”

Starmer also vows to bar foreigners who commit crimes, and to limit Judges’ powers to block deportations.

Trump Signs EO to Slash Drug Prices

President Donald Trump signed an executive order Monday that will dramatically reduce the prices for prescription drugs and other pharmaceuticals. The order will require pharmaceutical companies to sell their drugs in the U.S. at the same price as the lowest price offered in any other country.

The action is a major change in American drug policy. Unlike most countries, the U.S. does not engage in price negotiation or impose price controls on pharmaceuticals, a policy that results in very high drug prices for American consumers. The executive order points out that

The United States has less than five percent of the world’s population and yet funds around three quarters of global pharmaceutical profits.  This egregious imbalance is orchestrated through a purposeful scheme in which drug manufacturers deeply discount their products to access foreign markets, and subsidize that decrease through enormously high prices in the United States.

In a post on his Truth Social account, Donald Trump stated that the move would halt the de facto subsidization of foreign drugs by American consumers and allow Americans access to drugs at a fair price. “Our Country will finally be treated fairly, and our citizens Healthcare Costs will be reduced by numbers never even thought of before,” the president wrote.

On the very same day that British Prime Minister Keir Starmer vowed to cut migration to the Kingdom, his North London home reportedly caught fire – or was set on fire.

The fire broke out in the early hours of the morning, and British police is now investigating the case.

GB News reported:

“The London Fire Brigade attended the property in north London after they received reports of a blaze at around 1.30am on Monday. The door to the four-bedroom property was damaged but nobody was injured.”

On Sunday, The Gateway Pundit reported that the Iran-backed terror organization Hamas announced the release of American-Israeli soldier Edan Alexander, 21.

Alexander, a dual U.S. citizen from New Jersey, was abducted on October 7, 2023, during the brutal Hamas-led invasion that left over 1,200 Israelis dead and hundreds kidnapped.

He is the last known American hostage still alive in Hamas custody.

Alexander was transferred to the Red Cross and handed over to Israeli special forces who escorted him out of the Gaza Strip.

American citizen Edan Alexander finally released from captivity and transferred to the Red Cross after 19 months captive in Gaza.

During his time imprisoned in Gaza, the Red Cross did not visit him a single time.

Edan’s grandmother thanked President Trump calling him a messenger for God.

Per The New York Post:

“Trump made all the efforts and he is a good messenger of the Holy One, blessed be he,” Varda Ben Baruch told Ynet of the US president’s efforts to secure her grandson’s release.

“Thank God that the government cared about him.”

Since his return to the White House in January, President Trump has brought almost 50 Americans home who were forgotten and abandoned by the Biden-Harris regime.

According to the Jerusalem Post, Alexander may meet US President Donald Trump in Qatar, “if he wishes and his medical condition allows it, his family told YNet Monday evening ahead of his release from Hamas captivity.”

This story is developing.

Alaska Defies Court Order, Moves Forward with Controversial Bear-Killing Program Despite Ruling It Is Illegal

Credit: NPS Photo / Kevyn Jalone

The Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G) announced it will move forward with its controversial predator control program targeting bears in Western Alaska—despite a recent court ruling declaring the effort unconstitutional.

On Friday, the department announced plans to resume its aerial bear culling efforts in Western Alaska starting Saturday, despite a March 14 ruling by Superior Court Judge Andrew Guidi that declared the program illegal, Alaska Beacon reported.

The state claims it is acting within the bounds of emergency regulations passed by the Alaska Board of Game on March 27, which the Department argues were not explicitly invalidated by the courts.

“The court order did not prohibit these activities or invalidate emergency regulations adopted by the Alaska Board of Game on March 27, 2025,” the department said in a statement, citing the Board’s authority to authorize the renewed bear removal program.

The goal, the department insists, is to increase caribou calf survival and grow the herd’s numbers to a level that “supports hunting opportunities for all Alaskans and nonresidents.”

At its peak, the Mulchatna Caribou Herd supported over 48 communities and supplied more than 4,700 caribou annually, according to the state.

However, Superior Court Judge Christina Rankin ruled Wednesday that the state remains bound by Judge Guidi’s earlier decision, which found that the Board of Game failed to justify the emergency nature of the predator control regulations. She also noted that the Board’s new rule failed to correct the original constitutional shortcomings.

Despite this, Rankin declined to issue a temporary restraining order sought by the Alaska Wildlife Alliance, saying the request was moot under current legal circumstances. In response, the Alliance filed a fresh application Friday in an attempt to stop the resumed killing.

The Department reported that since the program began in 2023, at least 180 bears and 19 wolves have been killed during the spring and early summer—periods timed to target predators when caribou calves are most vulnerable.

A resident of Western Alaska told The Gateway Pundit that the killings have already resumed near Bethel, describing disturbing scenes of aircraft tracking and shooting bears from the sky.

“They have already begun using a spotter plane to find brown bears outside of the Bethel area of Western Alaska and follow-up helicopter with a gunner on board to kill them,” the source said.

“Last year over 120 bears were killed and most carcasses left to rot. It was horrible to see a giant stack of bear hides at auction during Fur Rendezvous in Anchorage from that slaughter.”

The reader also raised concerns about the ethics of the program and the motives of state officials.

“This is being done by the Alaska Department of Fish and Wildlife and the trigger-happy Board of Game, who are ignoring sound science to ‘meat’ farm Caribou for their hunting pleasure. Years ago, this same department tried to machine gun wolves from a helicopter after baiting them in, but we were able to stop them with a tourism outcry. This time they’ve tried to hide the killing.”

Trump Administration Reportedly Revokes Visas of Baja California Governor and Her Husband

Credit: Marina Del Pilar; Carlos Torres / Facebook

The Trump Administration has reportedly revoked the U.S. visas of Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, the sitting Governor of Baja California, Mexico and her husband, Carlos Torres Torres, a high-level political coordinator in Tijuana.

The announcement, made late Saturday night through Governor Ávila’s official Facebook account, revealed that her husband’s visa was the first to be pulled, followed shortly by her own.

Carlos Torres, who serves as a coordinator of special projects for the Baja California state government and the city of Tijuana, insisted in a self-serving statement that the move was merely “an administrative measure,” and denied any investigation or accusations.

“In recent days I was notified by US Consular Authorities about the revocation of my non-immigrant visa, a measure that, as is with many people in similar contexts, responds to internal arrangements of the State Department.

It should be noted that my conscience is calm and I am sure that the situation will be resolved favorably.

Currently, the application of these administrative criteria has become increasingly common, and like so many others, I am included in that universe.

This procedure does not represent accusation, investigation or formal indication by any authority, neither in Mexico nor in the United States.

I have contacted an international immigration law specialist who is evaluating the submission of a motion to reopen or reconsider the decision, or begin the process for a new visa application, in strict adherence to official channels.

I make this information public with responsibility and transparency, not only to avoid speculation, but also to limit political opponents’ misuse of this situation. Believe me: these are people without limits or scruples, willing to turn any fact into slander if they think it will give them an advantage.

Throughout my public life I have acted out of respect for the law and a fully aware of the commitment to serve. This situation will be handled with seriousness and confidence in legal procedures.

I reiterate the most important thing: there is no room for lies or opportunism among those who walk on the side of dignity.

I deeply regret that this situation has had consequences for my wife, Marina del Pilar, who – despite not provoking anything – has faced it with serenity, firmness and never losing the empathy that defines her.”

Ávila Olmeda, a close ally of Mexico’s radical leftist president Andrés Manuel López Obrador, tried to spin the visa revocation as a mere technicality.

Ávila Olmeda is a member of the National Regeneration Movement (MORENA), the same political party as former President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) and current President Claudia Sheinbaum.

She also offered no official reason for the revocation in her post.

“These days I have witnessed, once again, what love, integrity, and loyalty truly mean.

My husband, Carlos, has faced a situation, and as in every shared life, that circumstance has also reached me. Shortly after the consular measure was applied to him, I received a similar notification.

I am sure and fully trust that the situation will be clarified satisfactorily for both of us. I say this with absolute clarity: Carlos has always acted with integrity, dedication, and a deep commitment to Baja California.

My support for him isn’t just personal, it’s moral and political. Because I know who he is and because he has always stood up and taken responsibility for things that aren’t his.

I inform all citizens of Baja California that this situation is taking place in a complex binational context that requires my composure and prudence.

I’ve said it repeatedly: governing my state is a source of pride, and I will continue to do so with my heart in mind and a clear conscience.

My government will continue working tirelessly to address the challenges we face for the benefit of the people of Baja California.”

But if Ávila Olmeda was expecting sympathy, she got quite the opposite.

Mexican citizens — fed up with cartel violence, economic decay, and government corruption — took to social media to blast the governor.

One user offered a scathing assessment: “Governor. Trump’s message from the US is clear: “There will be no exceptions for anyone; anyone who has had business dealings, transfers, or financial transactions with organized crime will be investigated.” It’s better to clear things up as soon as possible, don’t you think?”

Another commentator mocked her travel restrictions: “Look on the bright side: now that you can no longer vacation in that neoliberal paradise, you can take time to visit dictatorial paradises like Cuba, Venezuela, or Nicaragua. Congratulations.”

Their case is not isolated. On April 17, 2025, Matamoros Mayor Alberto Granados Fávila was detained by U.S. Customs and Border Protection at the Brownsville Port of Entry.

Following his detention, the U.S. government revoked his visa due to alleged ties with the Gulf Cartel, a notorious drug trafficking organization that has historically operated in Matamoros.

Alberto Granados Fávila is also affiliated with the Morena Party.

US and China Reach 90-Day Tariff Rollback Agreement After High-Level Talks in Geneva

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent calls out China following its latest tariff increase on US goods.

In a major win for President Donald Trump’s America First trade doctrine, the United States and Communist China have agreed to a 90-day rollback of the tit-for-tat tariffs that defined the latest chapter of Washington’s hardline economic battle with Beijing. Global markets rose sharply on Monday morning as a result.

The agreement, forged over two days of high-stakes negotiations in Geneva, Switzerland, is being hailed as a strategic pause—not a surrender—and a testament to Trump’s uncompromising stand against unfair trade imbalances.

Under the deal, the US will slash its previously imposed 145% tariffs on Chinese imports down to 30%, while China will match that with a reduction of its retaliatory 125% duties to just 10%, The Financial Times reports. This move, though temporarily softening the blow of Trump’s full-spectrum trade offensive, keeps pressure squarely on the Chinese Communist Party to fundamentally shift its abusive trade behavior.

The US wisely opted to keep in place a separate 20% tariff specifically targeting Chinese pharmaceutical ingredients used to make the deadly opioid, fentanyl. It’s a clear signal: America is no longer playing nice with enablers of our nation’s drug epidemic.

The agreement was codified in a joint statement that dripped with diplomatic niceties, declaring both nations would move forward “in the spirit of mutual opening, continued communication, cooperation, and mutual respect.”

“We came to agreement quickly,” said US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer, “which reflects that perhaps the differences were not so large as maybe thought.” Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, who helped broker the deal, echoed that sentiment: “The talks were productive. This is a path to restoring fairness in our trade relationship.”

In a telling move, China has also agreed to ease its non-tariff trade barriers—unofficial and often opaque mechanisms that the CCP uses to manipulate trade in its favor. These include export controls and bureaucratic red tape that have long disadvantaged American producers. Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng will lead their negotiation team going forward, signaling that Beijing knows this is now a top-level geopolitical issue.

On Truth Social, President Trump declared the Geneva negotiations “very good,” signaling what he called a “total reset” in US-China trade relations.

Conservatives and nationalists should take note: this is exactly what tough, unapologetic leadership looks like. Unlike the sellout trade deals of previous globalist administrations, this agreement was not about preserving some vague idea of global stability—it was about defending American workers, American sovereignty, and American industry.

Despite the temporary tariff reduction, it must be noted that the deal is not permanent. It gives China 90 days to show good faith before the Trump administration decides whether to bring the full weight of economic pressure back onto the regime. This isn’t appeasement—it’s tactical patience backed by the credible threat of escalation.

President Trump TORCHES ABC News Reporter For Asking Questions About Qatar’s Gift of Luxury Jet (VIDEO)

President Trump signs executive order lowering drug prices

President Trump torched an ABC News reporter as he signed an executive order aimed at lowering drug prices on Monday.

Sunday evening President Trump announced he will be taking action to reduce pharmaceutical drug prices by 30% to 80%.

On Monday President Trump criticized Big Pharma as he signed the executive order aimed at aligning what the US government pays for prescription meds to prices paid by other countries.

During the signing in the Roosevelt Room, a reporter for ABC News asked President Trump about a Boeing 747 gifted from the royal family of Qatar.

“What do you say to people who view that luxury jet as a personal gift to you? Why not leave it behind?” a reporter asked President Trump.

“You’re ABC Fake News right? Because only ABC – well, a few of you would… You should be embarrassed asking that question. They’re giving us a free jet. I could say no, no, no, don’t give us.. I want to pay you $1 billion or $400 million or whatever it is or I could say thank you very much,” Trump said.

The ABC News reporter kept pressing President Trump about the gift.

“It’s not a gift to me. It’s a gift to the Department of Defense and you should know better because you’ve been embarrassed enough and so has your network. Your network is a disaster. ABC is a disaster,” Trump said.

“I think it’s a great gesture from Qatar. Appreciate it very much. I would never be one to turn down that kind of an offer. I mean, I could be a stupid person and say, No, we don’t want a free, very expensive airplane. But it was, I thought it was a great gesture,” Trump said.

Ukraine and Hungary Trade Diplomatic Blows, Each Expel Two Over Espionage Accusations

The already icy relationship between Hungary and Ukraine took a sharp turn for the worse late last week after both nations expelled two of each other’s diplomats in a tit-for-tat espionage row that reveals not only worsening bilateral tensions but also raises fresh doubts about Ukraine’s readiness to join the European Union.

The diplomatic spat exploded after Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) announced Friday that it had dismantled what it described as a ‘Hungarian military intelligence network’ operating in Ukraine’s western Transcarpathia region, a historically Hungarian-influenced area that is home to over 150,000 ethnic Hungarians.

According to the SBU, two former Ukrainian military personnel—described as a man and a woman—were arrested on charges of treason and accused of passing military and social intelligence to Hungarian handlers, including data on Ukraine’s air defense systems and speculation on local sentiment toward a possible Hungarian military intervention.

In a rare and dramatic move, Ukraine’s Deputy Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha publicly declared the expulsion of two Hungarian diplomats on X (formerly Twitter), citing “national interests” and reciprocity.

“This is the first time in the history of Ukraine that we have uncovered a Hungarian military intelligence network working against our state,” said SBU spokesman Artyom Degtyarenko, adding that the alleged agents were caught with cash and specialized equipment for covert communication.

Hungary’s response was swift and scathing.

Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó categorically dismissed Ukraine’s accusations as “defamatory” and part of an ongoing smear campaign orchestrated by Kyiv. In a statement on Facebook, Szijjártó announced that Hungary had expelled two Ukrainian diplomats for conducting espionage under diplomatic cover.

The past three years have shown that the war in Ukraine is being fought not only on the battlefield, but also in the information space. Anti-Hungarian propaganda is often used without any factual basis. https://t.co/l5x0OscNo4

— Péter Szijjártó (@FM_Szijjarto) May 9, 2025

“These individuals were not conducting diplomatic activity—they were spying, under the cover of diplomacy,” Szijjártó declared. “Ukraine continuously uses anti-Hungarian propaganda, often without any basis. This is political blackmail, and we won’t tolerate it.”

Today, we expelled two Ukrainian spies working under diplomatic cover at the Ukrainian Embassy in Budapest.

We will not tolerate smear campaigns against Hungary and the Hungarian people.

Since the war in Ukraine began, anti-Hungarian propaganda has intensified. The latest…

— Péter Szijjártó (@FM_Szijjarto) May 9, 2025

The Hungarian Foreign Ministry handed a formal note to Ukraine’s ambassador in Budapest on Friday, underscoring Hungary’s view that Kyiv’s latest accusations are linked to Budapest’s independent foreign policy, particularly its refusal to supply arms to Ukraine and its calls for a negotiated peace with Russia.

“Because we are not on the side of war, we are being punished by slander,” Szijjártó said. “Hungary will not be dragged into a war not of its making, and we reject the notion that refusing to send weapons equates to supporting aggression.”

This latest row underscores deeper, long-standing disputes between the two countries, particularly over the rights of Ukraine’s Hungarian minority. Since 2017, Ukraine has passed a series of language and education reforms that Budapest argues systematically erode the cultural and linguistic rights of ethnic Hungarians. The laws prohibit minority-language education beyond primary school and restrict the use of minority languages in official settings—a move Budapest rightly considers discriminatory.

From Hungary’s perspective, the dispute is also symptomatic of a broader Western hypocrisy. While Brussels and Washington continue to pressure Budapest to fall in line with a pro-Kyiv consensus, Hungary insists on charting a sovereign course—one that includes dialogue with Russia and skepticism about Ukraine’s EU and NATO aspirations.

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has been blunt: “Ukraine’s accession to the EU is not a good deal for Europe. It’s a liability,” he said in a recent interview. “We were admitted to the Union because it made sense for Europe. Ukraine’s membership does not.”

Indeed, the latest espionage accusations come at a time when Hungary is under mounting pressure from Eurocrats like European People’s Party (EPP) President Manfred Weber, who called on Budapest to stop obstructing Ukraine’s integration. But Hungary is pushing back hard, asserting that it cannot ignore the implications of accepting a country mired in war, accused of corruption, and prone to targeting its own minorities.

Even in Western policy circles, some have started to echo Hungary’s concerns. Recent shifts in US foreign policy suggest an emerging appetite for restraint rather than escalation—a stance that increasingly aligns with Budapest rather than Brussels.

Still, the gravity of Ukraine accusing an EU and NATO member of espionage—and Hungary retaliating in kind—raises troubling questions about the future of regional security, diplomatic norms, and the increasingly fragmented state of the Western alliance.
