German Chancellor Freidrich Merz has told President Trump and the United States to “stay out” of his country’s politics.

The country’s intelligence agency confirmed last week that it had classified the conservative Alternative for Germany party as a “proven right-wing extremist organization” because of their opposition to mass immigration and progressive ideology.

In a post on the X platform, Secretary of State Marco Rubio slammed German authorities for their continued crackdown against their political opposition.

He wrote:

Germany just gave its spy agency new powers to surveil the opposition. That’s not democracy—it’s tyranny in disguise.

What is truly extremist is not the popular AfD—which took second in the recent election—but rather the establishment’s deadly open border immigration policies that the AfD opposes.

Germany should reverse course.

This triggered a response from the German Foreign Office, who claim they are merely protecting democracy and preventing the rise of another Nazi Germany:

This is democracy. This decision is the result of a thorough & independent investigation to protect our Constitution & the rule of law.

It is independent courts that will have the final say. We have learnt from our history that rightwing extremism needs to be stopped.

Merz, who was confirmed as German chancellor this week, has also weighed in on the issue.

In comments reported by The Guardian, Merz slammed “absurd observations” from the U.S. about his government, adding that he “would like to encourage the American government … to largely stay out of” German domestic politics.

The CDU leader added that America should “clearly distinguish between extremist parties and parties of the political centre”.

He also argued that he “did not interfere in the American election campaign,” even though he was secretly gunning for a victory for Kamala Harris.

The designation of AfD, which came second in the recent federal elections, by Germany’s Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV) marks a shift from suspicion to a formal designation of extremist activity.

While it does not explicitly prevent the party or bar it from participating in elections, it does authorize broader surveillance measures that may hamper its future success.

Among the powers granted to authorities include the deployment of undercover operatives and intercepting communications as part of intensified monitoring efforts.

Later today Merz and Germany backtracked on spying on the opposition party Afd.

“He’s cutting education! Won’t someone please think of the children,” shouted the same people who shut down schools, sports, band, plays, outdoor events, and field trips for two years during COVID. The media and Democrat lawmakers keep claiming that Trump is cutting education—or eliminating it altogether—because, allegedly, Republicans hate education and want an uneducated population that’s easier to control. This, comes from the same Democrats pushing to remove what they call the “reality bias” from science books, claiming it reflects male patriarchy.

The truth is, Trump is not cutting education—he’s cutting bureaucracy and administrative waste. Schools in America are largely funded by state and local governments through property taxes. Unlike many other countries with a national curriculum, U.S. states set their own education standards. In fact, the closest thing to a federal requirement for high school graduation is one unit of physical education. It was recommended by President Kennedy, but never enacted into law. Ironically, gym and sports were the first things shut down during COVID, and they’re often the first programs Democrats want to cut from the curriculum to make room for classes pushing a political or ideological agenda.

That said, if the people want more say over education policy, Trump’s reforms are giving them that opportunity. By cutting down the Department of Education and shifting responsibilities to other agencies or to the states, many of these so-called “cuts” are actually a return of power to state governments and local school boards. In many cases, the dollars are still being allocated to benefit programs. They’re just being administered differently, closer to the communities they serve.

Below is a breakdown of the most significant Trump cuts and the real impacts they may have on students and schools.

In March 2025, President Trump signed an executive order initiating the dismantling of the U.S. Department of Education. While full closure would require congressional approval, the administration has already begun significantly reducing its size. About half of the department’s workforce has been laid off, including key cuts in the Federal Student Aid office and the Office for Civil Rights. These cuts do not directly impact the provision of education to children, which remains largely under the authority of state governments.

At the primary and secondary levels, the administration plans to reallocate many education-related responsibilities. The National School Lunch Program (NSLP), which Democrats and the media wrongly accused Trump of terminating, will continue to be administered by the USDA—just as it always has been. Student loan servicing may be transferred to the Small Business Administration, while nutrition and special needs programs could move to the Department of Health and Human Services. These benefits will continue to exist but will be administered differently, with the goal of reducing costs.

Funding for special education is primarily governed by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and is largely provided by state and local governments. While the Trump administration has proposed consolidating certain federal education grants, there is no indication that IDEA funding has been eliminated.

Department of Agriculture (USDA). A major feature of the administration’s 2025 budget is the consolidation of 18 separate K–12 grant programs into a single Elementary and Secondary Education Flexible Block Grant. The stated goal is to reduce bureaucratic overhead and allow states more flexibility in allocating federal education dollars.

However, the total amount allocated for the new block grant is approximately $4.7 billion, about $4 billion less than the combined budgets of the original programs. These include funding for teacher training, afterschool programs, school safety, mental health services, and academic enrichment.

Just because federal funding for things like teacher training, afterschool care, or school mental health is being cut doesn’t mean those programs will disappear. It just means states and local districts will decide for themselves which ones they want to keep and whether to make up any funding shortfall. In reality, most districts never used all of these programs anyway, so a lot of the federal money was being directed toward services many schools didn’t want or need.

The Trump administration’s 2026 budget proposes eliminating all funding for the TRIO programs, which support low-income, first-generation college students, veterans, adult learners, and students with disabilities. Services include academic tutoring, mentoring, financial counseling, and other forms of assistance aimed at college access and completion.

They claim that eliminating TRIO would remove these critical support structures, potentially hindering the ability of disadvantaged students to enter and succeed in higher education. However, cutting TRIO does not mean cutting all services for those groups. Trump only cut one specific program. Students with disabilities will still be eligible for support from IDEA, ADA/Section 504, and campus Disability Support Services. Veterans will still have access to the Post-9/11 GI Bill, VA Education and Training Services, and on-campus Veteran Resource Centers. First-generation and low-income students can still benefit from Pell Grants, FSEOG, and institutional support programs run by colleges and universities.

Additionally, the budget includes significant cuts to the Federal Work-Study (FWS) program, which provides part-time jobs for students with financial need. The administration suggests that universities should fund these jobs themselves, effectively shifting the financial burden away from the federal government.

Pell Grants are federally mandated and continue to be available to eligible students. However, the program faces a projected $2.7 billion funding deficit by 2026, which could lead to future reductions if not addressed by Congress. For the 2025–26 academic year, grants remain unaffected.

It is a myth that the Trump administration is eliminating education or reducing the quality of educational delivery or outcomes. Some changes are aimed at cutting bureaucracy or restructuring how programs are administered, while others have been eliminated entirely because they had little or nothing to do with improving educational outcomes.

Will Putin’s truce hold? Will Zelensky try to attack tomorrow’s Red Square parade?

Putin’s Victory Day truce has come into effect, spanning from today (8) until midnight May 10 going into 11.

Ukrainian monitoring channels on Telegram have not recorded any Russian drones in the air.

Intel Slava reported:

“Earlier, Zelensky rejected Putin’s proposal for a ceasefire on May 9 and said that Ukraine ‘cannot guarantee the safety of foreign leaders’ who came to Moscow for the parade on May 9. On the eve of Victory Day, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue massive drone raids on Russian regions – despite this, the leaders of a number of countries were able to arrive in Moscow to attend the parade.”

Putin met with China’s Xi Jinping today in Moscow, on the eve of the Victopry Day celebrations.

There have been some reports that Ukraine would ‘unofficially’ join the truce, according to Ukrainian MP Aleksey Goncharenko.

Kiev is ‘officially silent’, but Goncharenko suggests troops have been given instructions to respect the temporary ceasefire.

Many Ukrainian forces could not enjoy the truce.

But it didn’t take long for Russians to accuse Ukraine to have violated the truce no less than 488 times, so far.

According to Moscow sources, Kiev regime attempted twice to break into Russia’s Kursk region, and has attacked Donetsk region and carried out 100s of strikes.

The Russian Ministry of Defense warns that its forces will ‘respond in kind’.

Sputnik reported:

“’Along the entire line of combat contact, Ukrainian units carried out 173 attacks from barrel artillery, tanks and mortars on positions of Russian troops, as well as four using multiple launch rocket systems. In addition, 300 strikes and drops of ammunition from unmanned aerial vehicles were carried out’, the ministry said.”

The one encouraging bit of information about all this is that no attacks on Moscow region have been yet reported on, since the Russians have vowed some heavy retaliation, including using the new hypersonic missile ‘Hazel’ (Oreshnik).

The Trump administration is reportedly preparing to release the full audio of Biden’s now-infamous classified documents interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur.

The recording, long shielded by Biden’s Gestapo-like Justice Department, is expected to confirm what conservatives have known for years: Joe Biden is mentally unfit for office — and Democrats have known it all along.

According to Politico, citing two GOP officials briefed by top aides in President Trump’s orbit, plans to release the audio are underway, though final plans remain fluid.

Democrats and Biden’s handlers are reportedly in full-blown panic as a critical May 20 legal deadline approaches, according to two sources within Biden’s inner circle, per Politico.

A federal judge has ordered the Biden Justice Department to declare whether it will continue hiding the tapes behind the flimsy veil of “executive privilege” in response to multiple Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuits filed by Judicial Watch, The Heritage Foundation, and a coalition of media outlets.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported that the Biden White House admitted to altering the transcript of Joe Biden’s testimony to the Special Counsel to make him appear less incompetent.

This not-so-shocking admission comes on the heels of a lawsuit filed by the Heritage Foundation and Judicial Watch against the US Department of Justice, demanding the release of the original recording of Biden’s testimony.

Biden has personally invoked Executive Privilege against The Heritage Foundation and Judicial Watch in an attempt to keep his controversial interview with Special Counsel Hur under wraps.

“Biden Justice Dept cleaned up transcript of Biden’s interview w/ Special Counsel Hur to remove his stuttering, pauses & other indications he lost his train of thought. Judicial Watch chief Tom Fitton: “The transcript is not accurate & was changed in a way to help Biden,” Paul Sperry wrote.

It can be recalled that last year, Washington Post reporter Matt Viser revealed that Special Counsel Robert Hur concluded that Joe Biden recklessly mishandled sensitive materials discovered at his home and former office.

Disturbingly, the investigation also uncovered that Biden shared government secrets with his ghostwriter, further underscoring his blatant disregard for national security.

Adding to this damning report, it was revealed that during interviews with the Special Counsel, Biden struggled to answer even basic questions, such as when he served as Vice President or the year his son Beau passed away from brain cancer.

The damning report reads, in part:

In his interview with our office, Mr. Biden’s memory was worse. He did not remember when he was vice president, forgetting on the first day of the interview when his term ended (“if it was 2013 – when did I stop being Vice President?”), and forgetting on the second day of the interview when his term began (“in 2009, am I still Vice President?”). He did not remember, even within several years, when his son Beau died.

And his memory appeared hazy when describing the Afghanistan debate that was once so important to him. Among other things, he mistakenly said he “had a real difference” of opinion with General Karl Eikenberry when, in fact, Eikenberry was an ally whom Mr. Biden cited approvingly in his Thanksgiving memo to Barack Obama.

We have also considered that, at trial, Mr. Biden would likely present himself to a jury, as he did during our interview of him, as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.

It would be difficult to convince a jury that they should convict him — by then a former president well into his eighties — of a serious felony that requires a mental state of willfulness.”

The White House confronted a critical decision about releasing the interview transcript. Biden’s legal team contended that Hur’s references to Biden’s memory issues during the interview were misleading and unfairly prejudicial.

Joe Biden attacked Robert Hur during an impromptu presser after the report was released.

“There is even a reference that I don’t remember when my son died. How in the hell dare he raise that?” Biden previously told reporters in an impromptu White House press conference. “Frankly, when I was asked the question, I thought to myself, it wasn’t any of their damn business.”

In March 2024, Republicans planned to hold U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt for the Justice Department’s refusal to release the audio recordings of Joe Biden’s interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur.

“The House Oversight and Judiciary Committees issued lawful subpoenas to Attorney General Garland for the audio recordings of President Biden’s interview with Special Counsel Hur, yet he continues to defy our subpoenas,” House Oversight Chairman James Comer said in a statement. “These audio recordings are important to our investigation of President Biden’s willful retention of classified documents and his fitness to be President of the United States.”

But White House counsel Ed Siskel lashed out at the House GOP in an angry letter, accusing them of only wanting the recordings “to chop them up” and use them for political reasons.

“The absence of a legitimate need for the audio recordings lays bare your likely goal — to chop them up, distort them, and use them for partisan political purposes,” Ed Siskel wrote.

He added, “Demanding such sensitive and constitutionally protected law enforcement materials from the Executive Branch because you want to manipulate them for potential political gain is inappropriate.”

However, the Justice Department said Merrick Garland did not commit a crime when he defied a congressional subpoena and refused to hand over the Biden audiotapes.

Attorney General Merrick Garland has also classified audio recordings of Joe Biden’s interview with Special Counsel Hur as top secret.

According to conservative investigative journalist Paul Sperry, the tapes have been secured in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF), typically reserved for the nation’s most closely guarded secrets.

“Attorney General Merrick Garland has classified at the highest level the audio tapes of Biden’s embarrassingly incoherent interview with Special Counsel Hur over two days, and has locked the tapes away in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility, or SCIF,” Sperry wrote.

President Trump has withdrawn his controversial Surgeon General nominee Dr. Janette Nesheiwat — after widespread outrage from conservative grassroots — and instead selected Dr. Casey Means, a physician-turned-wellness influencer whose résumé and associations are now under intense fire.

Dr. Nesheiwat, whose record includes cheerleading COVID-19 lockdowns, mask mandates, child vaccinations, and boosters, was seen by many in the MAGA base as a disastrous pick.

Dr. Nesheiwat has since adjusted her stance as more data became available. She criticized the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for its handling of the vaccine’s rollout and mandates, particularly its impact on children.

Despite her recent reversals on these positions, critics argue that these initial missteps reflect poor judgment.

Facing mounting outrage from his base, Trump yanked the nomination, and she is now being reassigned to serve under HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Trump then tapped Dr. Casey Means instead, touting her “impeccable MAHA credentials” and anti-establishment medical reform platform.

Unfortunately for Trump, the backlash didn’t stop—it only intensified. Critics say Means is unqualified, unlicensed, and “engineered.”

Investigative journalist Laura Loomer led the charge, blasting Means as a social media influencer with no surgical training, no active medical license in Oregon, where she practiced, and a history of cozying up to anti-Trump narratives.

Loomer wrote on X, stating, “Casey Means, the new Trump nominee for US Surgeon General, doesn’t even have an active medical license in Oregon when she established her medical practice. How is the top doctor in the US supposed to give medical guidance and advice to the nation when she doesn’t even have an active medical license in the state where she allegedly practiced medicine? Does Casey Means even have an active medical license in any state?? This is so embarrassing for the Trump administration. They chose a social media influencer who sells supplements who didn’t even support Donald Trump to be the US Surgeon General. Who is doing the vetting?????”

Loomer further exposed that Dr. Means’ father, Grady Means, allegedly authored a children’s book promoting transgender ideology titled The Adventures of Felix the Flamingo, a story explicitly meant to affirm “gender diverse” children.

Loomer claimed Casey Means shares her father’s views, warning that “we are now going to have a Democrat US Surgeon General” whose family pushes “child mutilation.”

In a quick rebuttal, Casey’s brother, Calley Means, who was recently appointed by the White House as an adviser in HHS under Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., defended her record and called the attacks dishonest:

Calley Means: “She is a Stanford educated physician. She completed 5 years of residency. She left the system to speak out – she wrote a book about this that sold 1.5 million copies to inspire others to leave the medical system and reform it.

She is the single best person in the world on connecting the dots behind our chronic diseases crisis – and her reason for existence is to help President reverse these trends. She worked to encourage RFK to support Trump and we went on Joe Rogan with the specific intention to convince undecided MAHA voters to support Trump.”

But the most damning blow came from inside the RFK Jr. camp.

Nicole Shanahan—RFK Jr.’s former running mate and the most high-profile anti-establishment voice in his campaign—publicly denounced the appointment in a bombshell X:

Shanahan: “It’s very strange. Doesn’t make any sense. I was promised that if I supported RFK Jr. in his Senate confirmation that neither of these siblings would be working under HHS or in an appointment (and that people much more qualified would be).

I don’t know if RFK very clearly lied to me, or what is going on. It has been clear in recent conversations that he is reporting to someone regularly who is controlling his decisions (and it isn’t President Trump). With regards to the siblings, there is something very artificial and aggressive about them, almost like they were bred and raised Manchurian assets.”

Yet amid the uproar, several prominent voices have come forward to support Dr. Means.

President Trump has announced a “full and comprehensive” trade agreement with the United Kingdom, which is set to be formally announced and discussed during a news conference at 10 am ET. 

As The Gateway Pundit reported, on Tuesday, Trump teased a “very, very big announcement” that he said he plans to make before his trip to the Middle East next week. It is unclear whether this trade deal is his big news or if there is more to come next week.

Meanwhile, tariff negotiations between U.S. and Chinese officials are scheduled in Switzerland this week.

Jerome Powell, arguably one of the worst and most politicized leaders of the Fed in history, announced on Wednesday that he will not drop rates to help lift the economy despite the recent excellent economic news.

Powell and the Fed will keep interest rates at 4.25% to 4.5%, according to USA Today.

Powell told reporters the “economy is doing fine,” but “the right thing to do is to await further clarity.”

What a disaster.

President Trump slammed the failed Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell in April after Powell hinted at delaying interest rate cuts.

Trump called for Powell’s termination before he does any more damage to the lives of tens of millions of American workers.

President Trump is right. Jerome Powell is a disaster. The only question is whether this is intentional or if he is just that inept.

Looking back at Trump’s first term, the US economy and markets hit several historic records in 2018. President Trump was correct in his policy, and the economy had never been stronger.

Then, in October, Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell stepped in and destroyed the outstanding gains.

The market tanked, the Dow Jones dropped over 5,000 points, the middle class was decimated, and the global markets were in chaos. Jerome Powell’s stock market crash was GREATER THAN the market crash after 9-11. The guy is a dangerous lunatic.

The Dow sank 5,036 points in December 2019 from its all-time high on October 3, 2018.

Jerome Powell’s comments on October 3rd and continuing promises of rate hikes caused the Dow Jones to sink 18.7%.
The Dow crashed over 5,000 points, or 18%, thanks to Powell. Democrats were pleased.

The stock market crashed 14% after the 9/11 Islamic attacks on America.

The DOW reached another all-time high on October 3, 2018, reaching 26,829. It was up for the 103rd time since Donald Trump was elected President and 46% since the November 2016 election.

This was clearly too much for the Fed’s Powell who then scared investors with his message that he will raise rates well into next year.

Over $5 trillion in wealth was erased!

As a result of Fed Chief Powell’s actions, Americans watched their 401(k)s dissolve into thin air.

In Trump’s first term, Jerome Powell added billions of new debt to the US economy. He stalled the Trump market surge. He decimated 401k’s.
He eliminated trillions of dollars in wealth. And he also managed to bring the economy to a halt. The GDP number did not hit 3.0%

Jerome Powell has a long history of failure and terrible calls that have resulted in average Americans losing money and suffering due to his mistakes.

Jerome Powell is a dangerous lunatic and screwed this president and the American people.

Yesterday morning, lifelong Detroit resident and election integrity activist Ramon Jackson and Pastor Lorenzo Sewell (who became a national treasure after he delivered a powerful benediction at President Trump’s 2025 inauguration) appeared before the MI House Election Integrity Committee with a room full of supporters and “living affidavits” from Detroit residents and in one case, a previous resident. All were eager to share their stories with the Michigan lawmakers about how their names had been illegally used to vote or register in Detroit elections.

Michigan House Election Integrity Chair Rachelle Smit brilliantly navigated the hearing despite attempts by Democratic committee members to discredit the witnesses and their powerful testimonies.

Representative Mae Xiong shamelessly arrived at the committee hearing over 10 minutes late and within minutes was telling the first witness, who moved to Roseville, MI, from Detroit and was then registered to vote at his previous Detroit residence by someone or some entity other than himself, that she didn’t find him to be very “credible.”

Mr. Kennedy has signed an affidavit stating that he has never voted in an election, yet someone has voted using his name at least 3 times!

Before he was finished testifying, Chair Smit asked him if he had ever voted in an election in Michigan, to which he replied, “No.”

Ramon Jackson, who brought the witnesses to Lansing to testify, jumped in to remind the lawmakers that it’s easy to discover when Mr. Kennedy obtained his new driver’s license after moving out of Detroit, if they want to verify that someone began voting for him after the MI SOS transaction.

Rep Xiong asked the witness, “You’ve made some really concerning allegations today in your testimony,” she said. She continued, “If this is a serious allegation you’re making, I’m curious why you didn’t go to the authorities.”

After she attempted to smear the witness, Rep. Xiong spent several minutes shuffling her papers and focusing on her phone while the next witness spoke.

Earlier this week, in a post on “X,” the freshman Democrat state representative compared herself to Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), who has on numerous occasions has (deservedly) been referred to as a “low IQ individual.” Xiong made the comparison after Michigan Speaker Matt Hall made a similar comment about her. Unfortunately, for the mostly unremarkable freshman lawmaker, with the exception of fellow radical Democrat Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, her post gained very little attention.

So we decided to perform a little poll under Rep Xiong’s post, where she whined about Speaker Hall suggesting she was a “low IQ individual.” We asked X users to weigh in after watching the way she treated John F. Kennedy during his testimony in front of the committee.

Senator Bernie Sanders is making no excuses for his use of private jets.

Lastm onth, it was reported that he had spent over $200,000 on private jets to travel to events during his anti-Trump “FIght Oligarchy” tour.

In an interview with Fox News host Bret Baier, Sanders defended his use of these aircraft, saying he can’t be expected to wait in line at airpots.

Here is a transcript of the exchange:

BAIER: Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI), she said you shouldn’t be using oligarch, it’s over people’s head.

You’ve gotten criticized from other people, the Free Beacon says, Bernie Sanders spent 221,000 on private jets fighting the oligarchy tour paid for by Friends of Bernie Sanders, that you’ve spent millions of dollars in campaign funds on private jet travel over the years.

How do you push back on both of those things?”

SANDERS: When’s the last time you saw Donald Trump during a campaign mode at National Airport?

BAIER: No, no, no. It doesn’t. But he’s also not fighting the oligarchy.

SANDERS: No. You run a campaign and do you three or four or five rallies in a week, the only way you can get around to talk to 30,000 people, you think I’m going to be sitting on a waiting line at United waiting while 30,000 people are waiting? T

hat’s the only way you can get around. No apologies for that. That’s what campaign travel is about. We’ve done it in the past, we’re going to do it in the future.

According to his campaign website, the tour’s purpose is really about working out how to push back against the Trump presidency.

Over the coming weeks, Bernie is going to be engaging in the struggle to determine where we go from here,” the website states in a request for financial support.

”That will take a modest amount of resources to travel, organize, hold events, and create content that reaches people where they are.”

Meanwhile, attendees at the outdoor rallies have recently been urged to wear face nappies.

“Masks are advised for all attendees of this event,” organizers wrote in an email ahead of an event in Colorado.

“Anyone experiencing a fever or other symptoms of COVID-19 is asked to stay home and not attend.”
