Texas Congressional Staffer ‘Doused Herself in Gasoline’ and Lit Herself on Fire

According to a new report, the Texas GOP congressional staffer who died earlier this month after she caught on fire in her home doused herself in gasoline and set her body on fire.

After reviewing surveillance video, authorities determined Regina Santos-Aviles was in her backyard alone when she caught fire on September 13.

Santos-Aviles was alive when first responders arrived at her home late in the evening on September 13; however, she passed away the next morning.

Firefighters also had to put out burning gas cans, according to the report obtained by Uvalde Leader-News.

Texas officials did not disclose whether Santos-Aviles deliberately set herself on fire; however, her family insists it was an accident.

“Her last words were, ‘I don’t want to die,’” a family member previously told KSAT.

The 35-year-old worked for US Rep. Tony Gonzales as a congressional staffer.

The official cause of death is still pending.

Uvalde Leader News reported:

Regina Santos-Aviles was alone in her backyard at 215 Geraldine St. when she caught fire and law enforcement does not believe others were involved in her death, according to a Sept. 23 Uvalde Police Department statement.

Santos-Aviles, former Uvalde Chamber of Commerce director and regional district director for U.S. Rep. Tony Gonzales, died Sept. 14 after catching fire and sustaining burns the previous night. She was 35.

UPD, EMS and the Uvalde Volunteer Fire Department responded to the initial disturbance call at Santos-Aviles’ residence at roughly 9:40 p.m. Sept. 13. The fire had been put out and EMS was treating Santos-Aviles when firefighters arrived. Police officers told the firefighters that she had “doused herself in gasoline and was ignited into flames,” according to a UVFD report. Firefighters also extinguished a burning gas can in the backyard.

She died at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio.

President Trump suggested to reporters in the Oval Office on Tuesday that if the Democrats force a government shutdown, he will take “irreversible” measures to implement his agenda. 

“The last person that wants it shut down is us. Now, with that being said, we can do things during the shutdown that are irreversible, that are bad for them and irreversible by them, like cutting vast numbers of people out, cutting things that they like, cutting programs that they like,” Trump said.

“They’re taking a risk by having a shutdown,” he added, pointing to the waste, fraud, and abuse of taxpayer dollars that he plans to cut.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, the government is expected to shut down tonight because the Democrats refuse to vote for a stopgap bill unless they can secure $1.5 trillion in spending that will fund healthcare for illegal aliens and sex reassignment surgery for children.

Breitbart’s Nick Gilbertson asked the President for his thoughts on the political absurdity of Democrats attempting to shut the government down to give illegal aliens free healthcare.

And you all know, Russell Vought. He’s become very popular recently because he can trim the budget to a level that he couldn’t do any other way. So, they’re taking a risk by having a shutdown. Because of the shutdown, we can do things medically and other ways, including benefits— we can get large numbers of people. We don’t want to do that, but we don’t want fraud, waste and abuse. And, you know, we’re cutting that.

But they want to have illegal aliens come into our country and get massive health care at the cost to everybody else. And we won’t have it. And that’s, I would say, the number one reason that they want to strike is to get illegal immigrants health care. And you know, Gavin Newsom wants that too in California, and it’s destroying California. We can’t have that. We’re not gonna have that.

President Trump announced a deal with Pfizer that will provide Americans with heavily discounted prescription drugs at most-favored-nation prices. Many of Pfizer’s brand-name medications will now be discounted at rates of up to 80%.

Previously, in May, Trump signed an executive order laying the groundwork for deals like this by directing the Secretary of Health and Human Services, the Secretary of Commerce, and the U.S. Trade Representative to take “aggressive measures” to find Americans the best deal on prescription drugs.

‘UNREPENTANT’: Prosecutors Ask for Over a Decade in Prison for Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs in the Run-up to Friday Sentencing

The high-profile criminal trial of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is heading to its final act on Friday, when Judge Arun Subramanian will determine the fate of the rapper.

His defense has presented their filing asking for Diddy to be sentenced to ‘time served’, having spent over a year behind bars since his arrest in September 2024.

New York Post reported:

“Prosecutors urged a New York federal judge on Tuesday to lock Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs up for at least 11 years when he’s sentenced on prostitution-related charges later this week — arguing the 1unrepentant’ hip-hop mogul has left his victims living in fear.”

Diddy was convicted of hiring male escorts who traveled across state lines.

“‘His crimes of conviction are serious and have warranted sentences over ten years in multiple cases for defendants who, like Sean Combs, engaged in violence and put others in fear’, prosecutors wrote in a pre-sentencing recommendation filed shortly after midnight.”

“In the filing, which included letters from accusers describing how his violence had impacted their lives, prosecutors called Combs ‘unrepentant’ and urged that his sentence reflect the ‘decades of unchecked violence’ and ‘decades of psychological, emotional, and physical damage he has inflicted’.”

Combs dodged a life sentence in July, as jurors acquitted him on the charges of racketeering and sex trafficking.

“Instead, he is facing up to 20 years behind bars after he was convicted of two counts of arranging for male sex workers to travel across state lines where he directed them to have sex with his girlfriends in so-called ‘freak-offs’.”

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries is continuing to throw a childish tantrum after President Trump epically trolled him and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer as the government shutdown nears.

As The Gateway Pundit’s Jim Hoft reported, President Trump has backed Democrats into a corner – and now he’s openly mocking them in their bitter defeat.

After their meeting on Monday with Trump in the White House, Schumer and Jeffries stopped to whine to liberal reporters.

Someone took the video and rewrote the lines with what Schumer really meant to say.

And President Trump tweeted this out on his Twitter page! Notice Jeffries is in a sombrero and mustache as Mariachi music plays.

Schumer also tells the truth for a full 30 seconds, which makes it even more hilarious.

During a press conference on Tuesday, a livid Jeffries yanked out the race card and called President Trump a coward.

“Mr. President, the next time you have something to say about me, Jeffries began as his fellow Dems ooohed behind him. “Don’t cop out through a racist and fake AI video!

“When I’m back in the Oval Office, say it to my face!”

Late Monday night, Jeffries also erupted on MSNBC, calling the Trump AI video of him and Schumer “disgusting.”

Joy Reid Thinks Freedom is Dangerous — Warns Conservatives Want No Income Tax, No Regulations, Unlimited Wealth, and Generational Prosperity Without Taxes

MSNBC host Joy Reid during her interview with BETNetworks’ Miabelle, where she claimed MAGA conservatives want to “take America back” to a time of no income tax, no regulations, and generational wealth without government interference.

Race-baiter Joy Reid sat down with BET Networks’ Miabelle and unleashed a tirade against what she calls the “dangerous” plans of conservatives and MAGA Republicans.

According to Reid, the real threat to America isn’t skyrocketing crime, open borders, or inflation, it’s the horrifying prospect of… freedom?

During the interview, the two discussed “Project Esther,” a Heritage Foundation initiative.

According to Reid, the project isn’t about protecting free speech or academic integrity, it’s a “conservative scheme” to suppress pro-Palestinian protests, silence dissent, and, somehow, force women back into the home.

Joy Reid: “And so Project Esther has those twin goals—protecting Israel from protests and criticism by making that criticism basically illegal, shutting down those protests on college campuses, and forcing women back into the home.”

According to Reid, conservatives want to enslave Black Americans all over again.

Reid went on to claim that Republicans are “desperately” trying to restore a “hierarchical past” from the 1890s or earlier, where there were no taxes, no regulations, and no “natural rights” for working Americans.

Of course, she left out the fact that it was Democrats who ran Jim Crow, Democrats who enforced segregation, and Democrats who blocked civil rights bills for decades.

Miabelle: Wow. And what does this mean for Black people?

Joy Reid: Well, what we always have to remember is that when they say they want women back home, they don’t mean us, because they do want us in the home cooking for the white family.

Miabelle: Yes.

Joy Reid: They want back the kind of world in the 1950s, where the only time you saw a Black woman, she had a maid’s uniform on, and she was taking care of your children. And the only time they saw a Black man was when he was their butler or their driver.

They really miss the hierarchical past that we tried to leave behind, but that’s not that old — we’re talking about the 1950s.

They desperately want that world back, if not the ’40s, ’30s, or the 1890s. So, the goal of trying to force the country backwards to that late 19th century or early 20th century — they’re very serious about it.

And one of the reasons they’re so serious about it is that if you go back before the 20th century, there were no income taxes, there were no regulations on business. You could earn as much money as you wanted, and leave 100% of it to your children with no taxes.

That’s the world they want back. And to get it back, they need society to change. They need people to be less modern. They need people to want fewer things. They need people to be satisfied just being workers.

And they don’t really believe that any of us have natural rights. They believe only the super rich, only the billionaires have real, true rights, and everyone else are just workers.

WATCH:

Reid is essentially admitting that conservatives want to unleash American potential: low taxes, free markets, and the right to pass on your success to your kids. That’s not a “hierarchical past,” that’s the foundation of liberty that built this great nation.

But in Reid’s worldview, where government control is the ultimate good, anything that empowers individuals over the state is dangerous.

Eric Swalwell Vows Revenge Against Trump & Anyone Who Worked With Trump | Drew Hernandez

Democrat Rep. Eric Swalwell appeared on CNN’s “News Central” on September 29, 2025, where he discussed potential actions by Democrats if they regain control of Congress.

During the interview with host Kate Bolduan, Swalwell stated that House Democrats plan to target private citizens who have worked with the Trump administration.

He framed these comments in the context of the recent indictment of former FBI Director James Comey on charges of lying to Congress and obstruction. Swalwell expressed hope that the Comey indictment would deter individuals from engaging in what he called “one-offs” or deals with President Trump.

Federal Agents Arrest D.C. Police Sergeant on Weapons and Assault Charges

A sergeant for the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department was arrested on Tuesday night.

NBC 4 Washington reporter Mark Segraves in a post on X reported a DC police sergeant was arrested during a traffic stop.

The sergeant was arrested by federal agents and charged with weapons charges, assaulting a police officer and fleeing the scene.

Per NBC Washington:

A Metropolitan Police Department sergeant was arrested by federal agents on Tuesday night after a traffic stop, authorities say.

The sergeant in the D.C. police department’s Fifth District was charged with assault on an officer, fleeing the scene and weapons charges, an MPD spokesperson told News4.

It wasn’t immediately clear why the officer was stopped or what led to his arrest.

No details have been reported regarding the federal agency that was involved in the sergeant’s arrest.

This isn’t the first arrest of a member of the DC Metropolitan Police Department in the month of September.

WUSA 9 reported officer Trevon King was arrested on September 15 on several charges including assault on law enforcement officers, sexual battery and driving while intoxicated.

King was arrested by MPD after they received a report of a person appearing to be intoxicated crashing into a parked car.

A DC Police officer is on administrative leave after he was accused of several charges, including assault on law enforcement officers, driving while intoxicated and sexual battery.

The Metropolitan Police Department confirmed Monday night that Officer Trevon King is on administrative leave.

A source tells WUSA that the charges stem from an incident that happened in the 1200 block of Russel Road around 8:15 p.m. Sunday. King allegedly hit a parked car and a pole. After officers took him to an area hospital, the source tells WUSA that King tried to take a responding officer’s gun.

King allegedly assaulted the two officers, including grabbing them inappropriately.

The Alexandria Police Department told WUSA that King has been charged with two counts of assault on a law enforcement officer, sexual battery, attempt to disarm a law enforcement officer, DWI, driving with a suspended license, and obstruction of justice.

The arrests of D.C. police officers come as the Trump administration has been attempting to clean up Washington DC’s rampant crime.

Top US Officials Working With Venezuelan Opposition to Overthrow Dictator Nicolas Maduro: NYT

Trump administration is moving to oust Maduro – preferably without using military force. 

Tomorrow (October 1st), begins ‘officially’ the Christmas season in Venezuela, an absurd measure to try and keep the population from rebelling against the ‘butcher of Caracas’ Nicolas Maduro.

In the meantime, about 8 US Navy warships and a nuclear submarine enact a maritime siege to the Bolivarian socialist republic, with fighter jets, ospreys, helicopters and thousands of troops in the biggest US military mobilization to south America in 25 years.

And now, a push is reportedly ongoing by top aides to President Donald J. Trump to remove Nicolás Maduro as the dictator of Venezuela.

New York Times reported:

“[The effort] is being led by Marco Rubio, the secretary of state and national security adviser. Mr. Rubio argues that Mr. Maduro is an illegitimate leader who oversees the export of drugs to the United States, which he says poses an ‘imminent threat’.”

Secretary Rubio is shaping a plan using intelligence provided by the CIA, and it’s been said that both the intelligence agency’s director, John Ratcliffe, and chief adviser Stephen Miller support his approach.

“Mr. Rubio repeatedly cites the Justice Department’s 2020 indictment of him and other Venezuelan officials on drug trafficking charges. He recently described Mr. Maduro as a ‘fugitive from American justice’ and the head of ‘a terrorist organization and organized crime organization that have taken over a country’.

[…] Mr. Rubio met with five opposition figures in May who secretly fled to the United States in what he called a ‘precise operation’. He has praised the opposition leader, María Corina Machado, whom he called by her nickname, the ‘Venezuelan Iron Lady’, in a tribute this year.”

The plan reportedly involves transferring power to Edmundo González, widely accepted as the legitimate winner of the latest Presidential elections.

The State Department insists that Maduro is not the legitimate leader of Venezuela, but rather ‘a fugitive of American justice who undermines regional security and poisons Americans’.

The reward for information leading to Maduro’s arrest and conviction has been raised to $50 million.

“’We’ve recently begun using the supreme power of the United States military to destroy Venezuelan terrorists and trafficking networks led by Nicolás Maduro’, [Trump] said last week in a speech at the U.N. General Assembly. ‘We will blow you out of existence’, he added.”

Roughly 70 percent of the population voted for González, according to the Venezuelan opposition and the independent monitor Carter Center.

Report: PA Dem House Candidate Funneled Money Meant to Help Recovering Opioid Addicts to Bring Kids ‘LGBTQ+ Youth’ Center Offering ‘Medical Transition’ Seminars

According to a disturbing report from the Washington Free Beacon,  Democratic House candidate in Pennsylvania, Bob Harvie, funneled money away meant to help recovering opioid addicts and instead sent them to push an LGBTQ agenda.

According to the report, the funds went to transport minors to an “LGBTQ-youth” center that offers “medical transition” seminars for kids as young as 14.

The Washington Free Beacon reports:

The Bucks County, Pa., Board of Commissioners, which Harvie chairs, approved a $13,500-grant in December to Planned Parenthood Keystone for “Expanding Services and Transportation” to the Rainbow Room, a local center that caters to gay and trans youth. The grant was used to transport high school students to Rainbow Room functions, the Delaware Valley Journal reported earlier this year. Its funding came from the county’s Opioid Settlement Fund, which is due to receive $70 million from drug distributors and pharmacy chains over the next 18 years.

Rainbow Room functions include seminars like “SEX ED NIGHT / M*STURB*TION,” which the center held in May 2024. A pamphlet advertising the event shows a photo of a woman’s hand massaging a watermelon designed to represent the female anatomy. In 2023, the Rainbow Room hosted a “Queer Prom,” where attendees as young as 13 were given goody bags with condoms, lubricant, and dental dams, used to prevent the transmission of sexually transmitted diseases during oral sex.

Earlier this week, meanwhile, the center held a “translating transition” seminar meant to teach kids as young as 14 “the basics of transgender identities, social transition, medical transition, and more!” In 2020, it hosted representatives of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s Gender Clinic to discuss “transition issues for trans kids.” The hospital has faced intense scrutiny for providing hormone treatments like puberty blockers to young trans children, and for performing “gender-reassignment” procedures, more commonly known as sex-change operations.

Harvie is currently embroiled in another scandal.  The Gateway Pundit reported that Democrat Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Commissioner Harvie and Commissioner Diane Marseglia openly bragged about defying the state’s Supreme Court order regarding counting ballots.

“Democrat Commissioners Diane Marseglia and Bob Harvie voted today to count illegal ballots, against the Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruling, in an attempt to aid former Senator Bob Casey,” Bucks County GOP said last Thursday.

Marseglia openly bragged about what she and Harvie did by violating the law and defying the Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruling.

“We all know that precedent by a court doesn’t matter anymore in this country. And people violate laws anytime they want. So, for me, if I violate this law, it’s because I want a court to pay attention to it,” Democrat Diane Marseglia said.
