President Trump delivers a solemn address from the Oval Office after the assassination of Charlie Kirk, calling it “a dark moment for America” and vowing justice.
President Trump is scheduled to make an announcement this afternoon reportedly on prescription drug prices and a deal with Pfizer.
“President Trump is doing more to lower healthcare costs than anyone else in Washington, D.C. While Democrats are threatening to shut down the federal government to subsidize health care for illegal aliens, President Trump is leveraging the power of the federal government to drastically cut drug prices for everyday Americans,” White House spokesperson Kush Desai told The Hill in a statement ahead of the comments.
Desai added, “Democrats talked the talk for decades about drug prices, but only President Trump is actually walking the walk.”
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt also teased TrumpRx in a post on Truth Social — a “direct-to-consumer website for Americans to buy drugs.”
President Donald Trump and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth told hundreds of senior military leaders that the Department of War’s mission is to achieve “peace through strength” during a Tuesday morning address at Marine Corps base in Quantico, Virginia.
“From this moment forward, the only mission of the newly restored Department of War is this, war fighting, preparing for war and preparing to win, unrelenting and uncompromising in that pursuit,” Hegseth said in a speech during which the former Fox News host railed against DEI and climate change.
Trump, who followed Hegseth, threatened to fire generals “on the spot” if he doesn’t like them before warning of an “invasion from within” during his speech. Trump highlighted the work of National Guard troops in Washington D.C. and suggested that similar measures could be used to address crime in Democrat-led cities such as Chicago, San Francisco, and New York.
“They’re very unsafe places, and we’re going to straighten them out one by one,” Trump said. “And this is going to be a major part for some of the people in this room. That’s a war too. It’s a war from within. Controlling the physical territory of our border is essential to national security. We can’t let these people in.”
Trump also admitted that he has placed at least one nuclear submarine off the coast of Russia after feeling “a little bit threatened by Russia recently.”
In October, 2023, I made what at the time seemed like a “bold” prediction. Gold spot prices had flirted with $2,000 per ounce but had dropped back into the $1,800s. Some analysts were calling $2,000 an ounce something in the distant future, so I countered with a post titled, “Gold Will Hit $2,000… Then it Will Hit $3,000 by 2026.”
Technically, I was right. It shot right past $3,000 less than two months after President Trump took office and is now likely to break $4,000 before the end of the year. My prediction, bold at the time, underestimated gold’s popularity by about a year.
Fast-forward to today and the same questions that were being asked when gold was nearing $2,000 are being asked now. Its price has doubled in two years and most indicators point to a continued upward trend. Why? Because we are in the middle of a perfect storm for physical precious metals.
We are in the middle of the “Trump Gold Rush.”
Interest rates are going down, as President Trump wants. The US dollar is weakening, as President Trump wants. Tariffs, investments into American manufacturing, and domestic energy policies are driving up gold prices, just as President Trump wants.
Other investment types aren’t fairing as well. Treasuries are losing efficacy. The Dow is up a mere 5% since Inauguration Day. Even Bitcoin, which President Trump loves, is up under 10% since Inauguration Day. Gold is up nearly 40% in the same period.
Add in dedollarization, global conflicts, government shutdowns, the declining US dollar, national debt, and inflation, and it’s clear why everyone from low-end investors to central banks are buying up gold.
This is why it’s skyrocketing, but is there an end in sight? Will gold’s run come to a screeching halt?
While there is a good chance that gold will experience a correction or two in the months and years to come, many economists are jumping on board with the notion that there is no real cap to this finite asset.

A conservative mother who was angry over her school district’s woke and dangerous policies decided to drive home her point in a highly unusual and not exactly G-related fashion earlier this month.
As The Daily Mail reported on Tuesday, Beth Bourne, the chair of Moms for Liberty in Yolo County, decided to take off her clothes at a Davis Joint Unified School Board meeting on September 18 to protest the district’s junior high school locker room policies.
Before she stripped, Bourne explained that she wanted board members to understand how vulnerable students feel when classmates choose a locker room based on gender identity instead of assigned sex at birth. The school district lets students undress in whatever locker room they feel comfortable in based on how they identify.
“So I’m just going to give you an idea of what it looks like when I undress,” the 50-year-old activist said, removing her shirt and revealing her bikini top.
“This school district is saying that depending on a child’s transgender identity, that they can pick which bathroom they want,” Bourne continued.

Bourne continued to undress to the horror of the woke school board members.
“Right now, with this school district, we have children self-identifying into different bathrooms just based off,” she said while taking off her pants.
A trustee yelled in response: “No, you cannot.”
“I have my bathing suit on,” she fired back. “Excuse me, this is allowed.”
Vice President Hiram Jackson, who was filling in for Board President Joe DiNunzio in leading the meeting, then ordered a recess to stop the madness.
But Bourne was not agreeable and accused the board of censoring her.

Her microphone was then cut off.
“You are disrupting,” Jackson replied while suspending the meeting.
ABC 10 reported the school board meeting later reconvened, with board members warning Bourne that she would be removed if she took off her clothes again.
However, Bourne began taking off her clothes again, causing the meeting to be recessed once more. Police were called, and the mother was then asked to leave.
Bourne told ABC10 that her First Amendment rights were violated and she is consulting an attorney.

There is a new academic scandal brewing for far-left New Jersey gubernatorial candidate Rep. Mikie Sherrill (D-NJ), this time involving her children.
The Gateway Pundit reported that Sherrill was blocked from walking with her graduating class at the US Naval Academy (USNA) after being caught up in a cheating scandal.
According to records obtained by The New Jersey Globe, Sherrill’s name “was not included on the commencement program” during the May 25, 1994, ceremony.
Despite the USNA’s honor code, the congresswoman said she was barred because she would not “rat out” classmates involved in the scandal.
The new scandal involves her children. In a June press release proclaimed, “I am so proud of all the young men and women from NJ-11 who are reporting to the military academies or academy preparatory programs this summer.”
Sherrill failed to mention, however, that out of the 24 students from her district being appointed to various military academies, two of her children, Lincoln and Margaret Hedberg, were among the appointees.
While Members of Congress nominate students to the service academies, the actual academies make the appointments.
Although Sherrill did not nominate her children, both of them being accepted at the same time raises accusations of nepostism considering that only 22 students from her district were appointed and, overall, the U.S. Naval Academy has a highly competitive 9% acceptance rate.
While many on social media have claimed that Sherrill nominated one of her children, an aide for Democratic Sen. Cory Booker confirmed to Fox News Digital that Booker nominated one of Sherrill’s children for this year’s freshman class.
“Each year, Senator Booker, as a member of Congress, has the honor of nominating qualified young people to serve in the United States military service academies,” Booker’s office told Fox News Digital.
“Prospective candidates go through an extensive application and screening process with service members and academy volunteers to recommend the best candidates to the academy based on merit. The candidates put forth for each academy represent the best and brightest that New Jersey has to offer.”
A spokesman for now-former Democratic Sen. George Helmy confirmed to Fox News Digital that his office nominated the other child.
But social media is not buying that nepotism wasn’t involved.
According to @SenBooker, 13 NJ High School Graduates were appointed to the US Service Academies this year, Army, Navy, Air Force, Merchant Marines.
Of the 3 US Naval Academy appointments, 2 went to @MikieSherrill’s twins, the Hedbergs.

YouTube, owned by Alphabet, has agreed to a $24.5 million settlement with President Donald Trump to resolve a lawsuit stemming from his account suspension in 2021.
The lawsuit was filed by Trump after YouTube suspended his channel following January 6th, alleging violations of his free speech rights.
This settlement marks YouTube as the latest social media platform to compensate Trump, following similar resolutions with other companies.
Under the terms, Trump is set to receive approximately $22 million from the total payout. The agreement also covers other individuals who were suspended by YouTube around the same time as part of a class action element.
YouTube’s decision to settle avoids a prolonged legal battle that could have reached higher courts.
The suspension was initially “imposed” over so called “concerns” over content that could incite further violence post-January 6. Trump’s lawsuit against YouTube was one of several he launched against big tech firms in 2021 for de-platforming him.
The $24.5 million figure represents a significant financial acknowledgment and win for free speech.
The question yet remains, will big tech companies continue to censor dissenting voices? Or will they allow free speech on their platform?
Based on their track record, they very well may be attempting to save face for the remainder of President Trump’s 2nd term.

The roads just got safer in Oklahoma.
On Monday, Republican Governor of Oklahoma Kevin Stitt announced 130 illegal immigrant truck divers were arrested in a state wide sting.
Stitt announced the Oklahoma Highway Patrol alongside ICE arrested the illegal commercial truck drivers on I-40 in Western Oklahoma.
The majority of the drivers were using licenses issued from Democrat states and stemmed from multiple countries such as India, China, Russia Turkey, and Ukraine.
Many of the CDLs given out from sanctuary states lacked basic information and Governor Stitt revealed one in particular had written “No Name Given” where the driver’s name was supposed to be.

OHP performed an enforcement action along I-40 and apprehended 125 illegal immigrants.
On Monday, Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt announced authorities apprehended 130 alleged “illegal” immigrants from multiple countries under “Operation Guardian” sweep along Interstate 40.
According to the Governor Stitt’s announcement, the operation handled by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) targeted enforcement along I-40 in western Oklahoma with numerous commercial truck drivers utilizing licensures issued by sanctuary states from multiple countries, including India, Uzbekistan, China, Russia, Georgia, Turkey, Tajikistan, Ukraine, and Mauritania.
“If New York wants to hand out CDLs to illegal immigrants with ‘No Name Given,’ that’s on them. The moment they cross into Oklahoma, they answer to our laws,” said Governor Stitt. “I want to thank our troopers and ICE officials for their hard work. This is about keeping Oklahomans safe.”
The Oklahoma Corporation Commission Brian Bingman stated the crackdown was due to “legitimate concerns with illegal immigrants obtaining CDLs in other jurisdictions. The inability to read road signs written in English will lead to accidents. This negligence creates risk for Oklahoma’s drivers.”
The move by Oklahoma authorities and ICE comes as the Trump administration is aiming to crack down on illegal immigrants obtaining their CDLs.

Rubio’s decision to freeze worker visas for truck drivers came after a 28-year-old Indian national who allegedly entered the U.S. illegally, caused a fatal collision after making an illegal U-turn.

War Secretary Pete Hegseth declared an end to woke political correctness and gender equity while delivering remarks to top military leaders on Tuesday in Quantico, Virginia.
During his speech, he announced that combat troops will return to male standards of fitness and training, and combat units will undergo combat field tests, which they must pass at the male standard scores. Finally, lethality and combat readiness is being prioritized over inclusivity in the military.
Hegseth justified the move, stating, “this job is life or death.”
“At every level, we should seek to exceed the standard, to push the envelope, to compete,” Hegseth told the room full of generals and top officers. “It’s common sense and core to who we are and what we do. It should be in our DNA.”

If not, it is what it is. If that means no women qualify for some combat jobs, so be it. That is not the intent. But it could be the result. So be it.”
During the speech, Hegseth announced the creation of a “combat field test” for combat arms units, and announced a new requirement for combat arms units: That they “execute their service test at a gender-neutral, age-normed male standard scored above 70%.”

Jeffries erupted over the “disgusting video,” labeling it an act of “bigotry” that “will get you nowhere.” O’Donnell refused to even show the clip, calling it “absolutely disgusting in every way” and a “lie.”
